00:29ten thousand dollars Kayla Morton won her first event and I hate to take the win that way but
00:34it's ten grand and moved herself up from fifth place to third that bypass was a winning pass
00:39no matter who was in the lane next to me and now our top eight here in North Carolina are getting
00:45ready to battle it out for more money and even more points put your hands together for the great eight

00:54we are here at the lot motorsports park in North Carolina fun fact for you the lot stands for
01:12get a load of this and what that's from is the track owner actually hauled concrete so that's where the
01:18load comes from get a load of this we have been here before but look it has been a few years this track
01:24is fast this facility is beautiful coming into this event the point system has changed now rounds are
01:32worth one and a half times points Kai has a 21 point lead currently but whoever wins this race will get
01:38ten thousand dollars and fifteen points which could close that gap tremendously the runner-up will earn
01:44ten and a half points with the semi-finalists each getting four and a half
01:49all right this is the great eight drivers meeting the eight fastest drivers in the invitational class right
01:59your uh top eight in points right now Kai in the lead so your goal for the rest of all seven of you
02:06other than Kai is to get him knocked out in the first round I've already been doing it yeah you've
02:10been doing a great job Kai's been doing a great job so at least y'all know what you got to do now
02:15you want to knock Kai out the first round he does have a little bit of a lead don't forget points and a
02:19half so that also helps damn 15 points if you want and how many points you got 50 there's exactly that

03:07I draw Kayla Morton but that's rough there I'm second in points behind Kai Kelly in the grade eight
03:19if he goes that first round that'll give me opportunity to run and catch him so I this first
03:26round hit is worth everything to me number three it's gonna be Nate Saylor and Kai Kelly
03:31uh-oh I'm feeling good coming into this race that car was fast at the last race it's points
03:38and a half for these next two races and then the final race is double the points but I think if I
03:42could just clinch one of these great eight wins I could seal this championship up which
03:45mean number fours will be Ryan Martin and Motor Nova Ryan Martin I drew him last week first round
03:52also I'd like to race him but I'd like to do it in the finals I need some points he needs some points
03:59we're just gonna have to go up there let go of the button see how it goes go to the pits get your cars

04:29let her rip coming off last week we ran really good especially under the conditions that we were in
04:40after the swap after hurting a blower and just doing everything we could to make round by round
04:47we made all the semifinals so coming here we took the week to freshen up the car check everything over
04:54um you kind of never exactly know exactly what you're gonna get coming right out of the gate with
04:59a brand new fresh combination teammate or not on Saturday it's Friday night and we're after those
05:04individual points I got to really make a push starting tonight to uh if I'm gonna make a run at
05:10this deal and see if we can get another win and on Friday night we're running the great eight last
05:31week um was a little rough for me it was not feeling good um I had another treatment since then I don't
05:38feel as bad so that's a good that that is a plus I feel a little bit more lively than last week so I'm
05:44ready for this weekend good luck be safe thank you no you're no you didn't you're good good luck be
05:53safe we've been having motor issues like freaking blowing is not what we do in this camp and my dad's
06:00been working night and day trying to figure this out this race we're starting off with a brand new
06:04fresh motor uh rolling in for first round of grade eight um I ended up drawing Damon first round um I
06:12don't know he made to the semis last race he's running good
06:15once again in the right lane driving the pro charge Camaro that is going to be Damon Merchant
06:28Damon Merchant going up against Lizzie Musi in the left lane
06:34from here on out the next two races are point and a half the finals is double points this is a
06:49perfect opportunity if you've been slacking on points um but you're still in the hunt to make
06:55up a lot of ground here it's anybody's ball game still um I know Kai's got a hell of a lead right now
07:00going into this weekend but it just takes a couple of good outings winning a couple of races on
07:06Friday nights and to be right back in the ball game but we got to get him out early and we got to
07:10occur some points real quick
07:12and Damon Merchant takes the win there what a drag race between both those cars nice

07:39I got drugged is what I got good lick for us man we needed that one that that little test hit that
07:53we did earlier showed us that we had a little bit of issue going on after making that lick right there
07:59I felt like we got it got a handle on it because come out here and put a wind light on against her
08:06it's saying something good job I was like uh sitting still while you blew past me hey it's all good
08:15good job I was wondering if you made a good one or not because we had stumbled on one so I thought
08:21really we didn't get a chance to make the freaking one because the um oil line was off
08:25oh yeah oh I didn't know that but you look like you made a hell of a pass I made a little

08:41tough draw man teammate draw yeah I don't like any of it I hate that but we've only done it the one time
08:51in the final in Bowling Green so it's bound to happen sometime you know but I know he's so fast
08:56but we're so fast too we drew our teammate Axeman first round of grade eight not the ideal draw
09:03um one we want both Chase Driscoll tuned cars to go multiple rounds but um I guess the good thing is
09:10one of us is going to go on uh no matter what um just the points and a half thing it just sucks for
09:16one of us to go out and one of us to move on but it is what it is uh I do feel like he has a slight
09:20advantage um he tested here a couple weeks ago but I've been using that data so we share and so
09:26it should be a really good race kick ass take names that's it what Andrew say what would Andrew say
09:33pass whoopings are free all day winning the grade eight last week is super crucial um it boosted our
09:39confidence going into this week and then it also allows us to be within range of winning maybe it has
09:46to be perfect for the next three events but it's obtainable so I'm really excited for the
09:50grade eight today see if we can stack some more points up and close that gap
09:53so going into the grade eight here at uh galop motorsport park the points move to a point and a
10:08half if you win you get to 15 points instead of 10. that would be amazing
10:13i'm second in points behind kai kelly in the grade eight if he goes that first round that'll give me
10:27opportunity to run and catch him so this first round hit is worth everything to me

12:50took a shot at the tree and i wasn't expecting that from a teammate but all is fair in love and
12:58racing it wouldn't have mattered anyways even if we would have pulled off that w because um the motor is
13:05very tired i let go on that pass we'll get it fixed tonight turn down for tomorrow mbd no big deal
13:11make a good hit it's okay thank you this one fun shook everything damn it one parachute but it
13:22close no larry you guessed i'm not guessing i promise you i put my life on it i got the top end and uh
13:30she felt like i guess so i didn't uh actually stayed in my side and let her cool off a little bit

13:37so uh we have kai first or third pair first round we got the left lane which i think is
13:50probably the better of the two um the right lane's got a little shade in it though so the track temp on
13:56our side is gonna be a little hotter we draw kai kelly first round honestly right now we need
14:00somebody that's gonna go and swing for the moon and take his ass out right away so that the rest of us can
14:05get this points and a half and cut his lead up like i'm hoping that uh we get him early when he's
14:11vulnerable and we take his ass out and this is points and a half so if we win tonight that's 15
14:17points that'll put us at 35 then we're one grade eight away from tying him so we need to take him out
14:24and win this tonight you know he's got 50 points we're at 20 so my plan right now is to go out first
14:30round we got third pair we got the left lane which is the better of the two uh and
14:35hopefully put kai on the trailer
14:41another day in the office stress level was in uh in the red but i just got to take a deep breath
14:48and uh try to hold these boys off

15:04put that goodness out in the world now goodness is gonna come back to you good karma always comes

16:37uh it's pretty much the same race he uh beat me right at the end you know so
16:45points drives i need x-man to go out but at this point i need everybody to go out
16:49sean's got 26 points if he wins the next two of these races he's six points ahead of me with the
16:54points and a half anybody pack the shoes that haven't been packing them like i said we just need
16:58some luck we need the people at the bottom we need them to start winning they went like through the
17:02willy bars no one of them this ain't a good track for that happen those damn brakes
17:13was smoking when i pulled up
17:18the best case scenario today is if damon merchant could win this whole deal that would really help me
17:23out but uh it is what it is we just got to sit back and watch because we're out
17:28just got beat by nate again first round loser five weeks in a row
17:33there's one way to blow a championship just watch what we're doing
17:36the car's making good passes i don't know they're just faster than us right now
17:49all right so i'm back in grade eight still i'm sitting number seven in points
17:53and i drew sean last week knocked the tires off lost to him so this week i drew sean again first round
18:00ricky we got a good position as far as the grade eight we're the fourth pair uh i got the right
18:07lane he got the left there's nobody good there's nobody good so really it is what it is maybe i don't
18:13want to outrun my buddy but if i have to that's what i'm gonna do let's get out of this oil right here
18:19hopefully man they in my lane whoever's laying down this oil
18:22honestly this is more nerve-wracking than than anything is coming into this it's points and a
18:32half uh just as easily as you can climb that ladder you can get kicked off that ladder
18:40have one bad weekend of the car not running good and somebody could sneak in there
18:44and steal everything that i worked hard for all year
18:46unfortunately i drove ryan martin i drew him last week first round also and you know i'd like to
18:57race him but i'd like to do it in the finals i need some points he needs some points me and ryan
19:03have went back and forth this year i've won a couple he's won a couple uh but honestly tired of
19:08racing him he's got that thing figured out right now and he's on a roll all right folks this will be
19:13the last pair of the first round for the grade eight gonna be a great one here
19:25if i can win i'm gonna win we're gonna go up we're gonna do the same thing that we do no matter who
19:31we're racing i'm gonna go up there and i'm gonna go as fast as i possibly can in that lane
19:35and hope i take the win over in the right lane that is gonna be ryan martin ryan martin in the right
19:43lane and murder nova murder nova in the left lane let's see who will go to the semi-finals of the grade eight

20:35and murder nova gets the win ryan martin makes a move towards the center has to get out of it
21:00hey it's fast early don't do me no good if i can't make it what happened it's a piece of
21:07it did not go straight again no we left again it's like third fourth time in a row it's a tricky track
21:13right now uh it was slow out of the hole it looked like ryan was out on me just a little bit and then
21:19he had problems and uh you know we made the trip so we took the win it looked like he was out on me
21:30it looked like he was out on me and then just all of a sudden it looked like he dumped out of it and
21:34just gone you know like he definitely out 60 foot to me we know that and i kept on thinking okay all
21:41right but i didn't know i know my car will mile an hour a little bit more than his but i didn't know if he
21:46was out on me far enough that i couldn't come around him if he'd have made a full hit i don't
21:51know i don't know
21:53yeah
21:57what's got to change what's got to change uh slow the car down a little bit 60 foot a little bit better
22:05uh or hope the track comes around to us we don't like none of us like turning the cars down
22:10uh you can walk out there and the surface looks amazing it looks like it'll take every tune-up that
22:15we have and it's just it's slow out of the hole uh too much wheel speed and uh slows the cars down so
22:32all right we're gonna go ahead and get started with our grade eight semi-finals drivers meeting
22:37folks we started with eight drivers the eight fastest drivers in the invitational class you know
22:42they battle out for ten thousand dollars on friday nights well we started with eight now we're down to
22:48four uh my good friend nate sailor did the rest of the drivers a favor knocked out by kelly in the first
22:55round you're welcome nice job way to go also murder nova able to beat ryan martin in the first round yeah
23:05great job all right so we're gonna go ahead and draw chips see who's racing who here in this
23:12semi-final round all right you're that much closer to ten thousand dollars so gentlemen go ahead

23:37wow all right which means my second pair will be damon merchant versus axeman larry roach all right
23:46drivers you know who you're racing you know what you got to do go back to the pits get your cars turned
23:50around and bring him in the staging lanes good luck i cannot draw either one of y'all would have
23:59been a better draw can i be honest with you guys since you're standing here for you to say that about
24:03me makes me feel pretty you're fast no no he's fast he's too fast to be fanboy get over you too fast to
24:12be fanboy damn get your ass back up fast fanboy damn it damn it did this shock leak at all that pass did
24:23you put a wrench on this let's do that i think we need to get a new uh client oh okay i think i have
24:32some small one slow down to watch it up did it move again yep that last pass we made it actually
24:43was starting to come left starting to come left in the car i wasn't going to lift yet because i could
24:47see him right there uh the car came down and i brought it back to the center every pass yep right now
24:53until i figure out what's going on it was loose pretty good pretty loose

25:15we did the strut didn't matter this time because the wheels were carried for so long so
25:19but we're gonna have to add that to our deal i'll get a hold of chris and find out what i need to do
25:26if you notice we put those weight pucks back in the front here so we move that weight from the trunk
25:31to the nose we're hoping to keep that nose down just a little bit it didn't set it down right before
25:35the finish line like it was up up up up and i could feel it come down right before the finish line uh i don't
25:40want it to carry it that far uh like half that's cool but um yeah it's hard to steer when it's up in
25:45the air all right you know the track's kind of tricky actually it's good early and then bad in the
25:54middle and then good again so it's kind of one of those deals where they're uh that we're having to
25:59change the tune-up for the length in the track basically you guys we have not won a grade eight yet
26:05and i want one badly i mean don't get me wrong i'd rather have the 40 grand than the 10 but uh i
26:12haven't won one of these and i want one and i think we have the to do it so murdering over we race back
26:21and forth back and forth always in the grade eight he's killing it this year we run the same setup as
26:26he does pro line hemis the cars are pretty equivalent he's got a badass race car we got a
26:34badass race car it's going to be a tuner driver game we're going to see who wants it more
26:47your first pair here in the great eight semi-finals over in the left lane that is going to be nate
26:57sailor nate sailor in the left lane going up against murder nova in the right lane we draw nate sailor
27:07who is arguably one of the guys who has his hot rod running faster than anybody else out here
27:13he's been killing it lately uh and the car's fast i'm gonna have to go up there i'm have to do what
27:17i do cut a good light and hopefully get out in front of him and stay out in front of him the last
27:23three races it's almost like he's unbeatable so he's definitely found the niche that that car likes
27:32and he's capitalizing on it so it's going to be a drag race i know it is and if we take that win
27:39we'll be sitting in a good spot your first pair here in the great eight semi-finals over in the
27:56left lane that is going to be nate sailor going up against murder nova in the right lane
28:09and nate sailor gets the win nate sailor going to the finals for the grade eight class wow
28:33i let go of the button and i treat out of him i'm out on him i'm making what i feel like is a decent
28:45pass and he drove around me i did what i needed to do as a driver and the car just didn't make the
28:51pass it needed to on that surface dude that was great i can't run with that man there's nothing i
28:57treed you i left on you and you drove around me dude i can't i can't run with that man i just can't
29:04like you made a kill her past dude it made stupid it pulled the tires up on the gear chains and just
29:09hung them at the beginning of the season we sucked because we were in air and now that the air is
29:15coming around where pro charger cars run now it's going the other way nice job good race nice job
29:20right now axe man's ahead of me so that's not that big of a deal but here comes nate and nate's coming
29:27hard with the way he's running somebody's gonna have to shut him down it sucks you know because
29:34that pro charger's the same as the one i got on my car like and if i could get down to that weight
29:40i'd be doing it i just can't i did everything i needed to do man treat him i was way out on him
29:47playing was better i feel more comfortable in right lane but uh which lane's better i don't see a
29:59difference but i just a driver always feels more comfortable in right lane because the tree's right
30:03there pulled damon and chip draw i got right lane i kind of like it right lane i think both lanes are
30:09similar so uh he's been a tough competitor i think he's his records probably better than mine against each
30:15other i'm pretty sure he's beat me more than i've beat him so usually this car is as smooth as it can
30:21be now at top of first gear shaking the tires and moving around going against damon there's no margin
30:27for loss here i cannot lose anything that's going to be a tough run i hope i can at least
30:33sit out 60 and get out on him but that car's fast
30:35uh oh we're no stranger to racing that cat him and i went back and forth a few times this season
30:46and uh you know he's got a fast hot rod i think here lately they've uh changed the motor combination
30:52in it and the last time we raced he got me and axe man takes the win right at the stripe in a grade
31:07eight race so redemption is what i'm seeking here word around the pit areas is he's been a son of a
31:14bitch on the on the guessing lately so i'm just going to get up there be aggressive on the light
31:19and uh you know kick his ass all right folks this will be the final pair the semi-finals for the
31:32grade eight over in the left lane that's going to be damon merchant damon merchant in the left lane
31:37going up against axman larry roach in the right lane the winner will go on to face nate sailor
31:45in the finals for ten thousand dollars
32:07and axman axman gets the win there great pass from both cars but axman takes the win so your
32:22finals in the grade a class tonight will be nate sailor versus axman

32:31i never seen him about 150 feet or so out i felt my car start shaking again oh here we go it's not
32:38gonna make the trip i went to let out the throttle all of a sudden i cut the grab i held it down
32:43pulled off that wind you make a good thing i was just chattering i wanted to get but i mean
32:49that's mine at the top of first it chatted so hard i started to lift oh down low top first
32:56yeah so about 200 yeah i i heard you coming and there you were going into the finals that's nothing
33:03but badass i'm gaining points on kai and for him to go out first round and me to still be in here
33:09maybe i can pull this off but it's not done until i take out nate and nate is flying the front end down
33:15is messing this car up i reckon he's going to tune through it and make it faster if he gets the tune up
33:22right and it and gets through that shake and you can keep the front end down i can drive it and it'll
33:26go faster i know what he's doing i mean it's gonna be fast when he gets it worked out so we're just a
33:32little bit away from what we need yeah we're testing in grade eight that's not good testing
33:37kayla and nax both do it it's like right last 200 feet they fly and i can't hold them off like i don't
33:46know what to do i needed that race tonight i needed to win this deal so not only for the money
33:52but for the points and just let it slip away the last 200 foot of the race there thanks
34:06all right folks gonna go ahead and do our grade eight finals drivers meeting we started with eight
34:11drivers in our grade eight two drivers remain this race here gonna be worth ten thousand dollars
34:18our two drivers remaining are nate sailor and axe man the two drivers remaining nate sailor i said
34:27earlier but you did all the guys a favor you knocked out kai kelly in the first round
34:32so did all those guys a favor there and now axe man find yourself in the finals axe man you're in second
34:36place this is your chance to get those points just in time and catch up to kai all right look we got the
34:43coin here we're gonna go ahead and flip it for lane choice who's calling it he's won so much lately
34:51nate's won so many rounds lately he's been so many people on the trail i'm gonna give him lane choice

36:30these racers i mean we're just running at the back but like what was that ohio when it was spinning
36:36every pass i mean it's doing great but to out to outrun nate oh it's gonna have to be it can't shake
36:47it's gonna have to go smooth one inch to the other yeah yeah all the cars we think's fast nate's been
36:55out running them so i mean i got my work cut out and with the tires shaking ah man the confidence i
37:01need to i need them but oh in the back of my mind it's tough i need to make that thing to make a full
37:06pull and be really fast be safe man yeah good luck you guys good luck man uh axeman's a badass i love
37:15him they pit across from us all the time uh him and his wife are just super cool people i love them
37:20both we broke in denver against them and they got the win uh and then we beat them in vegas so like
37:27it's one and one how many times were the race that the car's fast that's why he's in the finals these
37:36guys aren't in the finals because they're getting lucky they're in the finals because they're doing the
37:39work um and they did it i mean they just did it's a bad dude it's a bad dude i think we have a better
37:47hot rod than they do and i want to go out and and see it this is the great eight finals right here folks

39:51starting line i could have spun i could have broke something i could have done all sorts of stuff but
39:56the second you guess and turn on that red light your race is over who beat you to the finish line
40:00well my way oh come on baby i almost ran you down anyway but now that's when i let off you thought
40:06you called oh okay now we're at 35 points and kai is at 50. we're only 15 points down from winning
40:13this hundred thousand dollars and the next two races are point and a half and two points we got a shot at
40:18this hundred grand plus our team's kicking ass so man i'm on cloud nine right now i did not jump man

40:33win just won his first grade eight event that moves him from sixth place all the way up to third
40:39just 15 points behind kai kelly he could totally win in his rookie season at milk at the beginning of
40:47the season it looked like kai kelly might run away with the grade eight championship but the drivers
40:53have got their ducks in a row and now it is a close race to alabama international dragway how are you
40:59doing today there's only two races left so if you're in first place in points i want to lock it up kai
41:07lock it up i've been trying you went out first round last week in the week before in the week before
41:11in the week before don't suck kai nate sailor and sean there are two i'm really worried about
41:15nate could actually tommy and sean could get really really close
