00:13Also gifting us with their presents
00:15Go on Nick!
00:16Nice for giving it in!
00:17And placing their bets on our challenges
00:19TV legend Alison Hammond
00:21Give us a kiss
00:22Alright
00:24Actor and comedian Nick Mohammed
00:26He's going home with a barbecue!
00:28We need a bowl!
00:29And all-round funny guy Rob Peckett!
00:32What about me?
00:32Merry Christmas Rob!
00:33Okay
00:34This is You Bet On Tour
00:35Yes!
00:36At Christmas!
00:37Come on!
00:47Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingled all the way
00:51Oh what fun it's to ride in a one horse on the stage
00:55Or a Ferrari!
00:56Ha ha ha!
00:57Jingle bells, jingle all the way
01:00What were your Christmases like growing up?
01:02Oh, I loved Christmas growing up
01:04I was obsessed with Chinese food when I was a kid
01:07I sent a letter to Santa
01:08I wanted spear ribs, king prawn fried rice
01:11Wow!
01:11I don't want to be some sort of weirdo but I quite like a bit of turkey gravy
01:14At Christmas, yeah!
01:16It'd be nice to be the You Bet Champion on Christmas
01:21That would be something special
01:22Because then you've got it for the whole year exactly
01:24Yeah
01:25Okay, I am going to wee
01:26You want this do you?
01:27I've decided what I might do this time is say they can't do it and then as they're doing it try and intimidate them and put them off
01:33I might just shout
01:35You're going to lose
01:37You're wasting your time
01:39I mean it's not very Christmas spirit-y is it but I want to win
01:42I'll tell you what, look at that guys
01:44Welcome to Kimbolton Castle
01:46Ooh, lovely
01:48Hello everyone
01:57Here we are soaking up the beautiful December sunshine in incredible castle grounds for our first challenge everyone
02:04Yeah!
02:05Right let's just get on with it, chup chup
02:07Nothing brings seasonal joy like a cosy wood fire
02:11But it's always a hassle chopping and collecting wood
02:15That's where timber sports stars Georgia and Glenn come in
02:19They bet they can chop through four logs faster than a chainsaw can
02:25Here's how it works
02:27First tree surgeon Jack and his trusty machine will chop through these four logs
02:31Then Georgia and Glenn will use four different timber sports techniques to chop through their four logs
02:38And to pass the challenge they'll need to do it in a faster time than the chainsaw
02:43If they can see and saw off their competition
02:47Then that five grand is theirs
02:49So can they cut it
02:54Or will they face the job
02:58It's Glenn and Georgia everybody
03:00Good to see you, lovely to see you
03:02Yes, keep those down there
03:04Yes, welcome to the show guys
03:06So, how do you know each other?
03:08So, we're a couple, we've been together for three years now
03:10Oh, okay
03:11Are you married?
03:12No, not married
03:13Not married?
03:14Oh, three years, we're on a Christmas show
03:16It could be the perfect moment, Glenn
03:18It could be
03:20Yeah, you tell them
03:22Now listen, you guys are banging to your timber sports
03:25Just explain to everybody what it is
03:27So, timber sports takes traditional wood cutting and forestry techniques
03:32And turns them into competitive events
03:34Okay, how good are you at this?
03:36This year I actually won my fourth British title in a row
03:38So, yeah, I'm quite good
03:40Oh, love it
03:41Good one
03:43What about yourself, Georgia?
03:44So, I came second this year at the British World
03:46Wow, nice
03:48So, we have got the real deal here on our You Bet Christmas special
03:52Now, you are going up against your competition which is Jack, first name Lumber
03:56And he is, um, keep up with me, would you?
04:00Um, on paper, it feels like he's got the advantage
04:04Yeah, he's got the chainsaw, so he's probably got the advantage there
04:06But we're going to give it our best and try and beat him
04:08Jack's a tree surgeon, right? What do you do for a living?
04:10Does it, like, kind of help you in any way in terms of this or?
04:13Um, so, I'm a builder, so I'm used to working with wood, I suppose
04:16Yeah
04:17For Georgia, it's a bit different
04:18Yeah, I'm a finance assistant for a local authority
04:20That's, like, completely different
04:22Your job panel, of course, is to try and guess
04:24Whether you think they will succeed in their challenge, yes or no
04:27Get it right, and you'll back those all-important points
04:29And whoever has the most points at the end of the show
04:31Will be crowned our Christmas first-ever You Bet champion
04:35So, Nick, we're going to come to you first
04:37I can see the logs, they just look too thick
04:40I'm so sorry, but it feels impossible, I'm going to say no
04:43We're starting to be the no
04:44Right, Rob
04:45Again, I don't want to be negative, but it's...
04:48No, come on, guys
04:50I just, I just think, and you're just going to tie it
04:52And it's going to be close, but it's a no
04:54Oh, okay, so two no's
04:56Alison
04:57I know it's going to be close, but I believe in love
05:00I believe in you too, I know you've got this
05:02And I'm going to say yes!
05:04Right
05:05Two no's and a yes before the show
05:08We asked a hundred of our You Bet fans what they thought of your challenge
05:11And I can tell you that 42% believe in you, they say yes
05:15But, of course, 58% are saying no, but it's still close, it's still close
05:20So, first up, Jack will saw through his four logs using his chainsaw to set the time that you two need to beat
05:26Let's go to our marshal now, George, in your own time
05:29In your own time
05:30Ready?
05:31Three
05:32Two
05:33One
05:34Go!
05:35And we're off
05:40He's doing what he does best as a tree surgeon
05:42That is fast, isn't it?
05:44That is super fast
05:48Log one done
05:49Oh my god
05:50Georgia and Glenn are going to have their work cut out beating this
05:58It's like a nose through butter
06:01This is what he does day in and day out
06:06Two logs left to chop
06:10What are you thinking as he's doing this?
06:12Yeah, he's quick
06:13He's quick
06:14He is quick
06:17He's a big old boy, isn't he?
06:21That heroic pose was my favourite
06:23I want to see that from you as well
06:27Last log now, and that time is looking quick
06:30Look at him, Jack
06:33Has he done it?
06:34Yes!
06:35And he's finished
06:36Alright
06:37Nice one, Jack
06:39Glenn and Georgia, that was an impressive start, wasn't it, from Jack?
06:41It was, yeah, he was really quick there
06:43So, yeah, we're going to be up against it
06:45The time that Jack has just set, that you need to beat by chopping your four logs, is 1 minute 38 seconds
06:52What do you feel about that? You just looked at each other, what did that mean?
06:54I think it's going to be a close one, but I think we've got, yeah, all the chance in the world, I think
06:59Oh, listen, I really hope you do it, can they do it?
07:05Right, you both go and get yourselves ready
07:06Thank you
07:07Thank you
07:08Come on
07:10James, up first
07:121.38 to beat
07:13Time to hand over to our marshal George
07:15Off you go
07:16Athletes ready
07:18Three
07:19Two
07:20One
07:21Go
07:22Glenn is doing the first log alone
07:24Yes, he's good
07:25By using what's called a single butt technique
07:28I reckon I could choose through that in five seconds
07:30Look at him go, he's like a machine
07:36Stop the clock
07:39That's an incredible start
07:41That was fast
07:42One down, three to go
07:45Georgia, you're up next, take your position
07:47There's one minute, 21 seconds left on the clock
07:50Athletes ready
07:52Three
07:53Two
07:54One
07:55Go
07:56Go on Georgia
07:57This is the underhand shot
07:58Looks dangerous
07:59Oh my god
08:00The SoCo serve me
08:01It's hard to watch
08:05Yes, Georgia
08:07Go on
08:09This is taking a lot out of her
08:11Come on Georgia
08:12Go Georgia
08:14This second log's taking a long time
08:18Keep going, keep going
08:22Go on Georgia
08:26They're not through the second log
08:28And there's only 40 seconds left
08:30Come on Georgia, keep going, keep working
08:33Keep working
08:34She's tiring out
08:38She's losing a lot of time here
08:40You can do it, come on
08:42Stop that clock
08:46Well done
08:49That's two logs chopped
08:51But two more in 24 seconds
08:54Is a tall order
08:55Glenn looks like he's ready
08:57This is the standing block chop
08:59And they will need to go like the clappers
09:00If they're going to have a chance of winning that 5,000 pounds
09:03Come on Glenn
09:04Three
09:05Two
09:06One
09:07Go
09:08Look at him go
09:09Never mind a chainsaw
09:10Glenn's like a machine
09:11Yes
09:12Yes
09:13Yes
09:14Yes
09:19Go Glenn
09:20Go on Glenn
09:21Go for it
09:22Stop the clock
09:23Yes
09:24Yes
09:25Wow
09:27That was a super human effort from Glenn
09:30It's literally unbelievable
09:32It now means you've got eight seconds on the final log
09:36What is the fastest you've ever done the double saw
09:4010.2 seconds
09:42Oh my gosh
09:44Get yourselves ready
09:46Let's get behind him everybody
09:47Come on
09:48This is so close
09:50Eight seconds
09:51Can they do it in eight seconds?
09:53This chop could be worth 5,000 pounds
09:57Are Pete's ready?
10:00Three
10:01Two
10:02One
10:03Go
10:04Are they going to do it?
10:06Five
10:07Four
10:08Three
10:09Two
10:10One
10:11They've done it
10:12Yes

10:15Come on
10:16Yes
10:17Come on
10:18Yes

10:23Yes
10:24Yes
10:25You did that last log in 7.5 seconds
10:287.9
10:31And the 5,000 pounds is safe
10:34What are you going to spend it on?
10:35Oh we got a trip planned to New Zealand
10:37So yeah it's definitely going to go towards that
10:39So yeah
10:40Listen I hope you have a lovely honeymoon
10:42Fantastic time
10:44And of course Alison's smiling all the way to the leaderboard
10:48You know I never doubted them
10:49Love conquers all
10:50I'm so proud
10:51I'm going to buy a little fascinator for the wedding
10:53Everyone one more time Glenn and Georgia
10:57Yeah
10:58I'll tell you what else Alison will love
11:04The cheese top of the Christmas tree also the first bet
11:09But there's plenty more where that came from
11:11Don't try this at home because it can be dangerous
11:14Here's
11:16You
11:17Welcome back to a very special Christmas edition of Yuba On Tour
11:27Where Kim Bolton Castle is hosting our festive soiree
11:43Guys here we are in the beautiful drawing room in the perfect setting for our next challenge
11:49When it comes to prezzies under the tree we've all had a sneaky shake
11:56But shop assistants Naya, Lily, Abby and Madison are taking it to the extreme
12:02Under our Christmas tree are 50 wrapped presents ready to be gifted
12:08All selected from the 10,000 products on sale at the discount store our challengers work at
12:15Using their encyclopedic knowledge of the store's inventory
12:19The team must work together to correctly identify the gifts without unwrapping them
12:24They'll need to get 5 out of a possible 6 correct to win the 5 grand
12:29So do our shop assistants have this challenge all wrapped up?
12:34Or have they taken on more than they bargained for?
12:38Please welcome Naya, Lily, Abby and Madison
12:44Here they are
12:46Good to see you ladies
12:48Welcome to the show
12:49Now tell us the shop that you're actually from
12:51We work in the best shop in Liverpool, Barney's Bargain
12:54Is that right?
12:55And yeah, it sells from sofas to sheds to clothes
12:58Just so you know, this isn't an advert
13:00Just so you know
13:01Sorry
13:02So, what do you love about working in your store?
13:04What's the best thing?
13:05Oh, it's like a big family really
13:08We're all having a blast
13:10We're all constantly laughing, gabbing
13:12What's the worst item in your shop?
13:13As it goes through your till you go, who would want that?
13:16Um
13:17Rob's book?
13:19Reduced to clear
13:23The wooden panels
13:24They're so popular
13:25Just non-stop with them
13:27It's funny
13:28Because I've got a wooden panel over here
13:32Just like in Barney's Bargains, they're cheap
13:37How long have you worked there?
13:40I've worked there for seven years
13:41Who's worked there the least amount of time?
13:43Me
13:44How long have you been there?
13:45Four months
13:46Four months, okay
13:47Do you all have your own specialist subjects?
13:49So I'm on till, so I see these things quite often
13:52I have my own aisles, so I do household laundry
13:55Especially subject over there
13:56Oh, especially subject
13:58So, panel, it is time to place your bets
14:01Right, Alison, what are you thinking?
14:03This is so difficult
14:05Especially the boxes
14:06I don't know how you're going to do it
14:07So, unfortunately, girls
14:09It's a no from me
14:10Oh, we're starting with a no!
14:12A Christmas No Nick
14:13I think because there's four of you
14:16And you're working together
14:17And you've worked kind of across departments
14:19And for various amounts of time
14:20I'm going to say yes
14:21I think you can do it
14:22I think you can do it
14:23Oh, got it yes
14:26Go on in, Rob
14:27No, I think they're quite everyday products
14:29So even if you haven't sold them personally
14:31You may have an idea of what it is
14:33And I just think between you
14:35I've just got a good feeling
14:36I think you're going to do it
14:37I'm going yes
14:38Oh, come on, right
14:40Of course, we always ask a hundred of our UBET fans
14:42What they think of their challenge
14:44I can tell you now
14:45That a massive 78% have said yes
14:50So only 22% are saying no
14:51Lots of points on offer here
14:52If Rob and Nick are right
14:54So, panel, here's how it's going to work
14:56You're each going to say two presents
14:57From underneath the Christmas tree
14:58For the ladies to try and identify
15:03For everyone they get right
15:04You get to keep
15:06Oh, yes!
15:07Yes!
15:08Bit of festive spice join in there
15:10Let's get this challenge started
15:11Alison
15:12Do the honours, please
15:13Right, okay

15:26Oh, she's gone for such a hard one
15:28There you go
15:29Right
15:30Ladies, it's over to you
15:32So there's a lot of space in it
15:33Yeah
15:34Oh
15:35I think I have an idea
15:37Yeah
15:38I think it's the
15:39Natural Himalayan salt lamp
15:40Natural Himalayan salt lamp
15:41Natural Himalayan salt lamp
15:42Yeah, natural Himalayan salt lamp
15:43Oh, I hope it's right
15:44Because I'd love one of them

17:36You are doing very well so far
17:37Two for two
17:38Rob, you're up next
17:39You're up next

18:06It's been pushed it
18:07It's been condensed smaller
18:08So what's in the shop
18:09That fits that description?
18:10We've got a blow up like boot type thing
18:13And we've also got a blow up mattress
18:15Right
18:16It could be one of the two
18:17Yeah
18:18Okay
18:19So you do have the pass
18:20But it's your shout

18:26The actual, like, the name for it
18:29See, they seem to know the other one straight away

27:25First time I hit 30 seconds, yeah.
27:27Oh, really?

27:50It's even decorated to rub a glove like a turkey.
27:52Yeah.
27:52Come on.
27:53No, not in that amount of time.
27:55It's too much.
27:55Okay.
27:56Absolutely not.
27:57No way.
27:58He's not going to come here without practising.
28:00Of course he can do it.
28:01Yay.
28:02Right.
28:03Don't try this at home because it can be dangerous.
28:05All right.
28:05Here we go.
28:06Three, two, one, go.
28:08He's off.
28:18Ten seconds gone.

28:46Alison, 51 points coming your way.
28:50So let's see what a stunt of the leaderboard.
28:53Ho, ho, ho.
28:54Lee, mistletoe.
28:56Alison's retaken the lead after quick bets,
28:58leaving Rob with that much Christmas cheer at the bottom.
29:02This is dangerous.
29:04Oh, my goodness.
29:05Oh, no.
29:06They're colliding.
29:07Oh, you all right, guys?
29:09You don't need the kiss of love.
29:10Calm down.
29:10Ha, ha, ha.
29:20Welcome back to U-Bat on Tour,
29:22where everyone's in the Christmas mood.
29:25Come on, Nick.
29:26Come on.
29:26Just here to slay the sea.
29:28I'm a printing thing.
29:30Alison, Alan.
29:31Come on.
29:32It's lovely weather.
29:33We're going to slay right together with you.
29:34Come on.
29:35Come on.
29:35Come on.
29:36Outside the snow is falling,
29:38and friends are calling you ho.
29:39What lovely weather.
29:42We're going to slay right together with you.
29:44Give a round of applause, everyone.
29:46They were magic, and we were tragic.
29:48Speak for yourself.
29:51Can we do it again?
29:52I see those sleigh bells jingle and ring, jingle, jingle.
29:56Come on, guys.
29:57Get yourselves in the air.
29:58It's lovely weather for us.
30:00Come on.
30:00Come on.
30:01Come on.
30:01So here we are in the stunning castle ground
30:06for our next challenge.
30:07Yes.
30:11Now, you've heard of Cirque du Soleil,
30:13but it's Christmas, so they are Cirque du Soleil.
30:15Oh, yeah.
30:16Do you know where I'm going with that?
30:18Yes.
30:20Tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry.
30:22And to celebrate, we're preparing a Christmas feast
30:25for 12 esteemed guests.
30:27But somebody has forgotten to lay the table.
30:32That's where circus troupe Ember,
30:34Eden, Harry, Jordan, Felix, and Marcus come in.
30:38Flipping and flying through the air,
30:40they must attempt to lay the table
30:41for all 12 guests in just three minutes.
30:45First, they'll need to lay out 12 plates
30:47on the 12 placemats,
30:48followed by 12 sets of cutlery,
30:5112 crackers, and 12 glasses.
30:55Finally, they'll need to remove the three cloches
30:57before the big finish.
30:59Pulling a Christmas cracker in mid-air.
31:02So will our circus troupe be somersaulting to success,
31:05or will their heads be less spinning?
31:09And here they are!
31:13I'm loving the energy already.
31:14This is unbelievable.
31:16What sort of experience do you need to take it on?
31:18We all work year-round as circus performers.
31:21I also was a waiter, so...
31:24Oh, that all helps.
31:25Yeah, when you're doing double flips and all that sort of stuff.
31:28So how dangerous can it be?
31:30Of course, anything like this can be very dangerous,
31:33but we train to hopefully minimise the risk,
31:36but they're never zero.
31:37Yeah, so any injuries amongst the team?
31:39I broke my back when I was about 14.
31:42You broke your back?
31:43Yeah.
31:43Were you laying at a Christmas dinner table when you did it?
31:45No.
31:45No, OK, good to know.
31:46Thankfully no.
31:47And how hard is this really?
31:48We're going to be doing lots of somersaults, lots of vaults.
31:51I don't want to give away too much,
31:52but it's definitely challenging to be precise.
31:55Now, remember, panel,
31:57your job is to bet whether you think our challenger will succeed,
32:00yes or no.
32:01Alison, what are you thinking about the circus troupe?
32:03Believe it or not,
32:04I used to do a lot of tumbling when I was a teenager.
32:07Break your back?
32:08Never.
32:08She'd never bring her back at any work.
32:10No.
32:10I was really good at tumbling,
32:15and if you practice a lot,
32:16you can get this down.
32:18So I'm feeling very positive.
32:20For me, it's a yes, I believe in you.
32:22Right, a yes from Alison.
32:24Rob, what are you thinking?
32:26Again, these guys seem really confident,
32:28and they've been injured in the past,
32:30which tells me that they're just going to go for it.
32:32Do you know what I mean?
32:33They're not going to hold back.
32:35Yes, I believe in you.
32:36Yes, Rob.
32:37Two yeses.
32:38But, Nick, what are you thinking?
32:39I, you know what,
32:40I used to do gymnastics when I was younger as well,
32:42and so I really want to believe that you can.
32:46I can see those placemats just look quite small,
32:48so I'm actually going to say no,
32:50although I hope I'm wrong,
32:51but I hope I'm wrong.
32:52OK, so what, two yeses and a no.
32:53But, of course, as always,
32:54we do ask 100 of our YouBet fans.
32:5641% have said you can do it,
32:59so 59% have gone no, no, no.
33:02You've got to prove those losers wrong.
33:04No offense.
33:06Let's show them what we can do.
33:07That's fighting talk.
33:08I like it.
33:09Good luck, guys.
33:12Go and get yourselves warmed up,
33:13and we'll see you in a bit.
33:14Thank you very much.
33:15Nice look.
33:15See you in a moment.
33:16Got this.
33:17Yes.
33:20I never knew that you did gymnastics or uni.
33:22Yeah, I did it till I was, like, 15.
33:24Anything you can show us?
33:26Absolutely not.
33:26Great.
33:28I'll tell you something, panel.
33:30They've got their game faces on.
33:31Oh, they are.
33:31They look ready.
33:32They do.
33:32Yeah.
33:33Guys, you ready to nail this?
33:34Yeah.
33:35Yeah.
33:35OK.
33:36Good luck, guys.
33:38You've got this.
33:39Remember, they've got three minutes to lay all 12 settings.
33:42That's 48 items in total.
33:45They'll start by laying the 12 plates.
33:47Time will begin in three, two, one.
33:52Come on.
33:52Here we go.
33:53Here are the plates.
33:55Here are the plates first.
33:58Oh, yeah.
34:00That was great.
34:02What a start.
34:03Eight plates down.
34:05Oh.
34:06One plate is filled off.
34:08Remember, they need to flip again to correct any mistakes,
34:11and that will cost them valuable time.
34:14Well done.
34:14All the plates are all in place.
34:16Yeah.
34:16Like, colouring out.
34:19Come on.
34:20Come on, guys.
34:21That's fantastic, isn't it?
34:23Eight down.
34:24Four more colouring to plate, and...
34:26All the colouring plates are now done.
34:29Oh, well done.
34:30Now the 12 crackers.
34:32I'll tell you what, if you think this is impressive,
34:34you should see how they load the dish for shot.
34:35It's amazing.
34:37Hey!
34:41Yes, please.
34:42Merry Christmas.
34:43This is better than circus to saliva.
34:45Oh, oh.
34:47All 12 crackers are on the table,
34:48but they'll have to move two of them
34:49because, remember, they need one on each mat.
34:52Oh, they're having to go back to straighten them up.
34:53Look, he's got to straighten it.
34:55He's got to sort these crackers out.
34:56He's got to do it again.
35:01Oh, guys.
35:02Well done.
35:03All the crackers are now sorted.
35:06We're now on to the glasses.
35:08Here we go.
35:08It's glass.
35:09Be careful, guys.
35:10Oh, this is dangerous, you know.
35:23Oh, my goodness.
35:27Oh, no, they've collided.
35:28Oh, you all right, guys?
35:31Guys, are you all right?
35:32Oh, gosh.
35:32They're all right?
35:33OK, come on.
35:33I ain't no first aid.
35:35You don't need the kiss alive.
35:35I've loved it.
35:37They've lost time.
35:38Come on, guys.
35:39Be quick.
35:40And there's still one more glass to go.
35:42Come on, Big Dog.
35:44Whoa.
35:46How's he doing it?
35:47You're too big.
35:48All the glass are down, but the clock's ticking.
35:51They need to remove the three clutches
35:52and pull the Christmas cracker in just 20 seconds.
35:56Big Dog, the clutches in one.
35:58I can't believe it.
36:02Beautiful.
36:02Just the cracker to go.
36:04They haven't got long.
36:05Go.
36:06Quick.
36:06Quick.
36:0710 seconds.
36:09Nine.
36:10Eight.
36:10Oh!
36:14They've done it!
36:16Thank God it's Christmas.
36:19Unbelievable.
36:21Seriously.
36:22Well done.
36:22Thank God it's Christmas.
36:25That was very close, guys.
36:27But listen, full respect.
36:29They did do it!
36:30Yeah!
36:305,000 pounds!
36:325,000 pounds!
36:35Wow.
36:355,000 pounds.
36:37That was absolutely amazing.
36:41Happy Christmas, guys.
36:42Merry Christmas, Stephen.
36:43One more time for Ember, Eden, Harry, Jordan, Marcus and Felix.
36:50Thank you, Ross Sarkis!
36:53Well done!
36:55Happy Christmas.
36:57Do you know what?
36:57I think it's time for a bit of a leaderboard update, guys.
36:59Yes.
36:59So, Alison remains at Christmas number one, going into the final challenge.
37:05But Rob's still in the game.
37:06Yeah!
37:07Yeah!
37:07Yeah!
37:07Yeah!
37:08Welcome back to You Bet On Tour at Christmastime.
37:19And boy, have we got a festive finale for you.
37:22So, Pamela, here we are in the castle courtyard for our final challenge.
37:28And this is a good one.
37:30Quick question for you and you at home.
37:31What was last year's Christmas number one?
37:33Oh, I have no idea.
37:35Well, if you think that's hard, wait until you hear
37:37what our next challenger is going to attempt.
37:43Meet memory expert, Katie.
37:45She has memorised every UK top ten single since 1952 when charts began.
37:52That's over a whopping 700 songs.
37:56Our You Bet choir will sing the first line from five of these songs.
38:01From that information alone, she must give the song title,
38:04artist, the year, and its chart position on Christmas Day.
38:08She'll need to get four out of five correct to pass the challenge and bag the 5K.
38:13Will Katie hear the sweet sound of success?
38:16Or be left with the Christmas blues?
38:20Please welcome out, Katie!
38:25Katie, welcome to the show.
38:27So, when did you realise that you had this skill?
38:31When I was about three.
38:32Three?
38:33When I was about three, I used to know which footballers played for which teams.
38:38So, people started saying I had a good memory.
38:41And then one day I found out about memory techniques and I started competing in memory competitions.
38:46So, I'm ranked number seven in the world.
38:49Ooh.
38:50How long have you prepared for this today?
38:52It's been taking a few weeks.
38:53There's over 700 songs.
38:55And my family have had to listen to all these Christmas songs and other songs.
38:58Wow.
38:58I've been testing myself and it's been a lot of hard work.
39:01We're not just saying this is the song.
39:03You just hear the first line.
39:04Yeah.
39:05So, you've got to memorise the first line of all these songs,
39:07as well as the chart position, the year, the singer.
39:11Because the first line might not be the name of the song, right?
39:13No.
39:13So, yeah.
39:14It's a lot.
39:15So, panel, it is time to place your bet.
39:17What are you thinking, Nick?
39:18I'm thinking it's a phenomenal thing to do, but I think that Katie's got it.
39:22I'm going to say yes.
39:23Oh, a nice yes from Nick.
39:25Alison?
39:27Oh, I just feel like it's a lot.
39:30It's a lot of pressure, the audience and everything like that.
39:33I really want you to do it.
39:35However, I'm feeling in my heart that she's not going to be able to do it.
39:38So, it's a no.
39:39Oh, it's a no from Alison.
39:40Sorry.
39:41Okay, Rob.
39:42No, I don't want to be the mood hoover, but obviously you're amazing with your memory and things like that,
39:48but I just think it's too much to do over a couple of weeks, so I think no.
39:51Right, okay, so two no's and a yes.
39:54Now, Alison and Rob, you might regret this because a massive 79% of our UBET fans said yes.
40:01Oh, yes.
40:0221% saying no.
40:05What do you think here, audience?
40:06Yes.
40:07Well, I really hope you do this, seriously.
40:10And as it's Christmas, we thought we're going to push the boat out, so please keep the applause going for our UBET choir.
40:16Here they come.
40:22The choir are going to sing the first line of a song.
40:26We need the title of the song, the artist, the year it charted, and the chart position on Christmas Day.
40:33Here's your first song.
40:35Here we go.
40:36That is it.
40:48When the snowman brings the snow, we need the song title, the date, and the chart position.
40:56What's going through your mind?
40:58Okay, so this is quite a well-known one.
40:59It's back in the 70s, so the title is I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day.
41:07The artist is Wizard, and the date, 1973, and the position was four.
41:23So you're saying Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day by Wizard, 1973, and charted number four.
41:28Yes.
41:29Is that your final answer?
41:33Yes.
41:34Okay.
41:35We've locked that in.
41:37It's time to find out if you've got the first one correct.
41:39Choir, take it away.
41:41That is correct.
41:47Come on!
41:49That's how you reveal if you're right or you're wrong.
41:52Oh, I wish it could be Christmas every day.
41:58So let the bells ring out for Christmas.
42:09It must be lovely to get the first one under your belt.
42:12That's really good.
42:13Okay.
42:13Ready for the next one?
42:14Yes.
42:15Quiet, if you wouldn't mind.
42:17Do your thing.
42:17Ba-da-ba-ba.
42:20Welcome to my Christmas song.
42:25How short was that?
42:27Welcome to my Christmas song.
42:30Okay.
42:33You know, when you have to think of the whole song in your head to try and remember the...
42:36Right.
42:37So, I've remembered the artist and I'm seeing him sitting at a piano.
42:49So, it's Elton John.
42:51Right.
42:53And the title is Step Into Christmas.
42:55So, obviously, this is an older song, but when did it actually come into the Christmas
43:10charts?
43:162020.
43:19I'm going to say position 10.
43:20Are you absolutely sure?
43:27Final answer locking in?
43:30Yes.
43:32If you've got this right, you are one step closer to winning at £5,000.
43:36Okay.
43:37Time to find out if you're right.
43:40Da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da.
43:42That is correct.
43:44Come on!
43:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
43:45Two for two.
44:08You're two for two.
44:10You've got to get two more correct to win the £5,000.
44:13OK, to song number three.
44:16You're the star upon the tree.
44:20So quick.
44:22You're the star upon the tree.
44:23Very quick.
44:28So, it's Sam Ryder.
44:31The song title...
44:34You're Christmas to Me.
44:37I don't even know that song.
44:39Never mind, remember it.
44:40And it was quite a recent one.
44:45Uh, 2023.
44:49Position two.
44:52You're confident?
44:54Yes.
44:55Okay, let's lock it in.
