00:00Naughty down by the flavors.
00:02He's talking smack over there.
00:03Ooh.
00:04In a wild twist, each team had to put up
00:06only their two best pies for judging.
00:08I think it's pretty unanimous at this point.
00:10Yeah.
00:11Tariq and Charles.
00:12Chase and Giancarlos, that's my vote.
00:15Ooh.
00:16I ain't talking about that.
00:17Tariq, you nailed it.
00:19The Naughty team took the win.
00:21Karen, I don't know what the Nice team's
00:23going to do without their alpha mom.
00:25They're going to get Naughty.
00:30All right, I'm liking your hat.
00:36Ooh.
00:37Snow.
00:38This is so cute.
00:39Oh, my God.
00:40That's so cool.
00:41Wow.
00:42That's magical.
00:43Oh, hey, Team Nice.
00:44Hey, Team Naughty.
00:45Hi.
00:46You know, I love building a snowman this time of year.
00:49And up in Canada, where I grew up, man, building and decorating
00:52a snowman, that was the perfect snow day activity.
00:56So the challenge today is to make sure you're
01:00a dessert that represents a fun snow day activity.
01:03Okay.
01:04And each of you will be assigned activities like building
01:07a snowman, sledding, or indoor fun like playing board games
01:11or having an indoor picnic.
01:13Okay.
01:14Wow.
01:15All right.
01:16Now, this is the Only Bake today.
01:17Best dessert wins immunity from elimination for their entire
01:19team.
01:20And, of course, the losing team will lose a baker.
01:23Now, Team Naughty, about your advantage because you won the
01:28last challenge.
01:29This year, you never know what's coming next.
01:33You have two choices.
01:35The nice advantage is actually really helpful.
01:39You can give yourself a 15-minute head start in this challenge.
01:42Okay.
01:43Okay.
01:44That's pretty nice.
01:45Yeah.
01:46And the Naughty advantage, it's really Naughty.
01:48Ugh.
01:52You can take a baker from the other team.
01:56Oh!
01:57Are you serious?
02:02Are you serious?
02:03And that baker you take is going to stay on your team.
02:08Oh.
02:09No, thank you.
02:10We're nice.
02:11Come on.
02:12We don't belong.
02:13All right.
02:14This is a big decision.
02:15Go ahead.
02:16Talk it over.
02:17Can we take someone?
02:18Wait.
02:19Hold on.
02:20Let's think about it for a second.
02:21The twists, the turns is that it's crazy this season.
02:23We would have a two-person advantage on them, and that just
02:26gives us two more chances to beat them.
02:29I would sabotage.
02:30Your dessert.
02:31I can't even make a pie, so, like.
02:32I'm going to take Naughty.
02:33Naughty.
02:34All right.
02:35So, Naughty team, what's it going to be?
02:37We're going to take Alex onto our team.
02:40Oh.
02:43Wow.
02:44I'm like, that's...
02:45Wow.
02:46You decided to take Alex and draft her onto Team Naughty.
02:50You don't want me.
02:51I'm so mean.
02:52I have a temper.
02:53I know she's...
02:54That's why you belong.
02:55That's why...
02:56Oh, no!
02:57She's been one of the top ones this competition.
02:59More than anything, it's just a compliment to you.
03:02We just think you're really good.
03:03Yeah.
03:04We think highly of you.
03:06Yeah.
03:07I feel very, very complimented.
03:09I feel really honored.
03:10Here you go, Alex.
03:12And they are very nice people.
03:14I don't want to go over there.
03:16You are officially now baking with Team Naughty.
03:20Alex has a little naughtiness inside her, so I think she's a good fit.
03:23And the stronger players we have on our team, the better chance we, as a whole team, can go further.
03:29I don't even know where to stand.
03:32We're going to bring it home.
03:33It's going to be even sweeter when we win.
03:35Okay, bakers, you're making snow day desserts.
03:38Oh, it's our town delivery guy.
03:39What?
03:40Oh!
03:41Oh!
03:42Oh.
03:43Thanks.
03:44Oh, my goodness.
03:45Oh, no!
03:46Oh!
03:47It's natural.
03:48It's like Christmas catamines.
03:50You can't just put it down on the floor.
03:53Thanks, delivery guy.
03:54At least you took a picture, you know.
03:56He's not getting a good tab.
03:57Okay.
03:58When time starts, grab a package to discover your snow day theme.
04:02There are two and a half hours on the clock, and your baking time starts.
04:09Now.
04:10What are these?
04:15What are these?
04:19What are these?
04:20Christmas morning.
04:21I got indoor picnic.
04:23Sledding.
04:24Building a snowman.
04:25Snowshoeing.
04:26Cutting out snowflakes.
04:28I got playing board games.
04:30Building an indoor fort.
04:31Ooh, okay.
04:32All right.
04:33I'll like go there.
04:34All right, friends.
04:35That bad boy in the middle.
04:36Nice.
04:37Only three people and I.
04:38What are we going to do?
04:39Well, we're going to come out strong.
04:40All right, guys.
04:41Well, welcome to Team Naughty, Alex.
04:43It's a little more fun, you know?
04:44That looks good on you.
04:45It's a warm welcome.
04:46I look good in everything.
04:48This is an elimination challenge, and we need to beat Team Naughty.
04:52We've lost two in a row, and now they're taking Alex, one of our strongest players from our team.
04:59It's a team competition, but it's still individual.
05:02At the end of the day, only one person can beat the winner of this entire competition.
05:07I am betting on myself.
05:09I know what I'm capable of.
05:10I'm going to bring my A-game.
05:12Pretty nice.
05:13Not A-game.
05:14All right.
05:15Let's go.
05:16All right.
05:17Let's have some fun.
05:18Get that mise-en-place going.
05:21Okay.
05:22Bad lad.
05:23Oh, no.
05:24Oh, no.
05:27Did you see that?
05:28Good.
05:29Okay.
05:30No one saw that.
05:31Wait, Chase, what are you making?
05:32Don't let them change you.
05:33I won't.
05:34Oh, we're already changing her.
05:36I'm making brownies.
05:37What are you making?
05:38What are you making?
05:39Brownies.
05:40I'm making a brownie.
05:42Oh, fight, fight.
05:43Are you serious?
05:44Fight, fight.
05:45Shut up.
05:46You can separate us, but you'll never separate our hearts.
05:49Oh, my God.
05:50I'm worried.
05:51Too much.
05:52We're basically using the exact same ingredients today.
05:54What kind of brownies are you making?
05:55I'm doing a...
05:56Better not be a peanut butter s'more.
05:57Are you doing peanut butter s'more?
05:58Yeah.
05:59I'm doing a caramel crunch.
06:00Oh.
06:01Yes.
06:02Battle of the brownies.
06:03Yes.
06:04Brownie win.
06:05Yeah, seriously.
06:07I know this brownie is crazy good.
06:09You whip the eggs and that aerates the dough.
06:12There's no leavener, no baking soda, no baking powder.
06:16Relying on the air that you incorporate into the eggs for its texture.
06:19And that's all you really need to give a nice souffle texture.
06:24It's going to have a graham cracker cookie base.
06:28Gonna swirl in a layer of homemade peanut butter.
06:32And then it's gonna have some marshmallowy meringue on top.
06:34Salty, sweet.
06:35It's a childhood dream.
06:36What do we need for a picnic?
06:38We need a blanket at the base.
06:40It's going to have a trio of gingerbread men surrounding the food.
06:44Swiss rolls, cupcakes, cookies.
06:46All these sweet things for these sweet little cookies to be eating.
06:49I can't possibly think of a better way to spend a snow day.
06:52I used to have two block lines around my bakery for these brownies, so...
06:58This is super weird.
07:00I want to go home.
07:02It's not home.
07:03Was your home over there?
07:04It was over there.
07:05It's behind you.
07:06The home was over there in the nice team, and they stole you.
07:08Say nice things.
07:09I only say nice things, so...
07:11How does it feel to be over here?
07:12She's evil.
07:14Wow.
07:15You've really been...
07:16You've been accepted, I can see.
07:17I think that I've made an impression.
07:18I think so, too.
07:19I'm incredibly flattered.
07:21It's taking some adjustment, but I'm rolling with it.
07:24Yeah.
07:25What snow day theme did you get?
07:27I am building an indoor fort.
07:28Oh, nice.
07:29So, I'm doing a brownie base with a crunchy, thick caramel, bunch of different ganaches,
07:34and then I'm going to have a scene of little gingerbread folks with a nice little blanket
07:41board over top and a couch, and they're going to be using a spirit board to summon the spirit
07:46of Christmas.
07:47No way.
07:48And, you know, Santa and Satan are anagrams, so I'm going to kind of be like they summoned
07:53the wrong S figure.
07:56Oh, my goodness.
07:58You even have a naughty laugh.
08:01I know.
08:02Did you just hear that?
08:03That was incredible.
08:04It's like all coming out now.
08:06I feel like you've been released.
08:07I think it's fun to play around with some naughtier themes, you know?
08:12So, I'm feeling a little bit better about it.
08:14Odie in the oven.
08:15Look at home, Miss Pini.
08:16Oh, yes.
08:17We're not wasting any time today.
08:19All right, bakers.
08:20You got two hours left.
08:22For real?
08:23Oh, man.
08:24How has 30 minutes gone by?
08:25And make sure your Snow Day desserts read either naughty or nice.
08:30I've been the top two for so many challenges.
08:32I need that win.
08:33I'm a little sick of being the bridesmaid ready to be the bride.
08:36I know the end game is the win at the end, but I really would like to get a win before that at some point.
08:42So, I got cutting out snowflakes.
08:45We're going to start on vanilla cremeau.
08:48All that vanilla bean is what we're going for.
08:51I am inspired by just the pure white of snow for the snowflakes, and I'm just doing a vanilla bean entremet.
08:58Vanilla is sometimes a kind of negative term.
09:01Like, it's bland.
09:02It's boring.
09:03It's vanilla.
09:04But that's so wrong.
09:06Vanilla, it can be a really strong powerhouse flavor on its own when it's done right.
09:12I'm going to do a few different textures of snowflakes.
09:16I'll do some with gum paste, some that are hand cut out of wafer paper.
09:19And then my naughty twist is going to be a little depiction of little Charlie running with scissors, so excited to make these snowflakes.
09:26This is my vanilla white chocolate mousse.
09:29It's always a nerve-wracking thing because the whole dessert is based on if it sets up or not.
09:33So, we'll see.
09:34Being a chef around the holidays really pulls you away from your family and your life because there's more events, more parties.
09:41If I were to win that $25,000, I want to just give back to my family and take them on a trip to make up for all the holidays we weren't able to spend together and make some new memories.
09:52Okay, sweet.
09:54Camry, how we doing over there?
09:55Good.
09:56No, it's just, you know, the three of us rocking and rolling over here on the nice team, and, you know, we're still feeling confident.
10:03The fire never goes out.
10:05Every challenge is fresh, every challenge is new, and that's just a new opportunity to knock the socks off the judges.
10:12So, I got building a snowman, which is very fun and very cute.
10:15Perfection.
10:16So, I'm making a spice cake and a little bit of raspberry ginger compote and a maple ginger mousseline.
10:26So, the judges have been really telling me to focus on presentation.
10:30Flavors, I think, are good.
10:32Presentation, I really want to bump it up.
10:34I love to decorate in more of an abstract way.
10:38I feel like I don't really make stories very often with my decorating, so that's going to be, like, the challenge.
10:43So, the goal today is to do a fun little scene in which there's, like, light poles in the background and then a snowman in the center that's, like, half being built because it's building a snowman.
10:57Maple ginger.
10:58Oh!
10:59I love it.
11:00I love the maple.
11:01The last main he I won for my team, which was awesome.
11:06It was really nice that my team was safe and it was because of me.
11:10Being the youngest baker and winning helped to prove myself to a lot of the other bakers in terms of what I can do only at the age of 19.
11:17So, hopefully, I keep up the good mojo.
11:20So, I got snowshoeing.
11:21I'm making a rum raisin carrot cake.
11:24Rum raisin is definitely a flavor combo that my family goes crazy for during the holidays.
11:29And I decided to go with, like, thinking back to my holidays in the Middle East just because my only experience snowshoeing was in the desert while I lived in Saudi Arabia.
11:39My dad, he's from the Middle East.
11:41So, I moved to Riyadh when I was 9 and then I left when I was 11.
11:46It does not snow there, ever.
11:48And I figured that because that was an important part of my life, I could definitely make snowshoeing into a sandy day activity.
11:57That's the naughty part.
11:58There is no snow.
12:00I'm going to decorate it to, like, look like a nice desert.
12:02So, it's going to have, like, palm trees and I'm going to have, like, a camel and some, like, gingerbread people.
12:06And I'm going to have the gingerbread people and the camel snowshoeing on, like, the desert sand.
12:10Just making it all, like, very cutesy while still trying to be pretty naughty.
12:14All right, go in the oven.
12:15Bakers, you got 90 minutes left.
12:17Team Nice, how does it feel being down one baker?
12:23Well, the silence says a lot.
12:29I didn't add leavening into my cake batter.
12:31Oops.
12:34I put my cake in the oven and then I realized I didn't add the baking soda.
12:37Oh, that's hot, hot, ow, ow, ow, ow.
12:39I don't have time to remake my batter.
12:41This is bad.
12:42Without the baking soda, it's going to be a dense mess.
12:47Okay, bakers, you are creating Snow Day desserts.
12:51The winning dessert is going to keep their entire team safe from elimination.
12:55It'll be fine, it'll be fine, it'll be fine.
12:57It'll be fine, it'll be fine.
12:58It'll be fine.
12:59I realized I forgot the baking soda for my cakes.
13:02So, thank God I caught it soon enough or else it, like, would have been a hot mess.
13:07But it's still liquid, so I think it should be okay.
13:09I'm just hoping that I can get it mixed in enough where the cake is still going to rise properly.
13:15Hope this works.
13:17Sean Carlos, how we doing?
13:19What Snow Day theme did you get?
13:20So, I get coloring.
13:22I'm making today a hesitant intramé.
13:25What I want to picture on this dessert today is about my future.
13:28Okay.
13:29How I want to have my own family with my husband.
13:32Wow.
13:33If I have a chance to win this competition, I will start the process for adoption.
13:38For the decoration, I'm going to make a little boy coloring on the floor, crayons, drawings, and Christmas tree,
13:45front to the fireplace during the holidays.
13:48Good luck.
13:49Sean, how are you doing, babe?
13:51I'm making my inserts for my intramé with a chocolate sponge and hazelnut cremout.
13:58This time, I want to show a different technique for the judges.
14:02When I cut my intramé, I'm not going to have a regular layer.
14:07I will have a different surprise for the judges.
14:11Now, my intramé just needs to set.
14:14Let's go.
14:17Thank you, Michael.
14:18Just leave me one.
14:19Oh, I'm just taking one.
14:20Okay.
14:21Actually, wait.
14:22Can I take two?
14:23Just give me one.
14:24You take the rest.
14:26Love you.
14:27Bye.
14:28Thanks.
14:29Love you, Mina.
14:30Our team dynamic is really finally pulling itself together, and I just love it.
14:32Alex, will you taste this for me?
14:33Yeah.
14:34Now, with Alex, we're constantly taste testing everything.
14:37We are communicating properly.
14:39Do I need to hit it with any citrus?
14:40A little salt.
14:41I would say a touch of salt, but that's lovely.
14:43All right.
14:44That is cherry.
14:45As a team that started off pretty much struggling, I feel like we're the stronger team now.
14:50So my theme today is playing board games.
14:54I am going to decorate like a very popular board game, but today I'm not sorry because, you know, it's a little bit naughtier.
15:02My boyfriend, John, and I become two different people when we play board games, and I think everybody does.
15:07I think everybody has a little bit of naughty on their shoulder that's like, I'm going to win.
15:11I'm going to do anything to do it.
15:13Putting in some extra brandy for Miss Nancy today.
15:16Oh, yes.
15:17So I'm doing a cherry almond pie bar.
15:21To decorate, I am going to create a sugar cookie game board with gumdrops and holiday game pieces.
15:29I'm going to go get that into the oven right now.
15:32There we go.
15:33Sleep well, baby.
15:34All right, bakers, you got 60 minutes left.
15:37I hope no one else is using honey today because I'm using it all.
15:40I'm going to be making baklava today.
15:42Baklava is a very traditional Middle Eastern dessert, but my baklava today, I'll be taking that classic and adding some holiday spices to it.
15:51So my baklava will consist of layers of phyllo.
15:56I'll be brushing with butter, a spiced pistachio and walnut mix, and we'll be doused with a holiday spiced honey syrup.
16:05So we're turning up baklava a little Christmassy.
16:07Niko, what snow day event did you get?
16:09So I got sledding.
16:11Sledding?
16:12Very cute.
16:13Well, it's not going to be cute for long.
16:15Uh-oh, there's a naughty component, obviously, with you.
16:17Always.
16:18So they're actually going to be sledding down a volcano.
16:21Because I was thinking to myself, like, what's the naughtiest type of sledding you can do?
16:28Bro.
16:29Niko, like, your mind.
16:31I'm going to be constructing a volcano out of a homemade pistachio and tahini rice cereal treat.
16:37It's going to be sitting atop a baklava.
16:40Oh, dude, amazing.
16:42And then I'm going to have some raspberry rose lava coming down.
16:45I was just going to ask, like, it's one thing if the kids are, like, tobogganing down and the volcano's not actually erupting.
16:50Oh, yeah, of course it's going to erupt.
16:52Who do you think I am?
16:53Oh, dude.
16:54So I'm going to decorate with isomalt flames erupting from the volcano.
16:59Sleds out of speculous cookies, candy canes, and then I'm going to have little modeling chocolate boys and girls sledding down the volcano.
17:06Perfect.
17:07Let's go.
17:08Chase, you doing good?
17:10Yeah.
17:11Good.
17:12Getting started on my fondant decor.
17:14Starting first with a blanket.
17:16Work it, work it, work it, work it.
17:18I am making little baby desserts to go on to my indoor picnic.
17:23It's like a little mini cake.
17:26I've never, literally never worked with fondant.
17:29Oh, look at this little tiny cake.
17:31Oh, my God.
17:32Look at my little Swiss roll.
17:33Oh.
17:34It's cute, right?
17:35I hope the judges like them.
17:37She's gorgeous.
17:39I'm adding a chewy caramel to the top of my brownie, and it will kind of cut through that richness of all of the different chocolates.
17:46That looks good.
17:48Time to decorate.
17:50I grab my entremet.
17:52I need to get it out of the mold to glaze it.
17:56Oh, my God.
17:59My mousse is not sap.
18:01This can't be happening.
18:02Ay-yi-yi.
18:03Moose is just a little soft, but if I don't get it out now, I won't have a glaze.
18:17So we are, you know, kind of improvising.
18:20There's a few edge chunks that have kind of stuck to the mold, so I carefully, using a warm offset spatula, I kind of smooth out those cracks.
18:29Okay.
18:30Can't really tell, relatively.
18:32It's definitely killing me a little bit inside, because I want to impress the judges.
18:37I want to put up a really nice, clean dessert.
18:39And if there's a lot of bumps and lumps on this entremet, it's really going to show through my glaze.
18:45But we'll see.
18:47All right, bakers, 30 minutes left.
18:50Wow.
18:51Snow day desserts.
18:52Remember, one of your desserts is going to win your team immunity.
18:56Hey, Caleb, babe.
18:57We're doing good.
18:58Chase, you want a taste of my cake?
19:00I need your opinion.
19:02I'm going to add a soak.
19:04Yeah.
19:05Soak.
19:06Perfect.
19:07So growing up in Michigan, we got a lot of snow.
19:10When we heard we had a snow day, we just rejoiced, because it was like, oh, I can watch cartoons all day.
19:16And then go outside if I want, trying to build snowmen and igloos.
19:21Snow days were the best days.
19:24Looks great.
19:25Smells so good.
19:27My cakes look good, which means that it's all okay.
19:30I didn't add my baking soda too late.
19:32Crisis averted.
19:34I do kind of like a ribbon design around the sides.
19:38And then on the top, I sprinkle a lot of graham cracker crumbs to look like the desert sand.
19:43I get my dessert out of the blast chiller, and I'm going to cover with my mirror glaze.
19:49Yes, this is the green I'm looking for.
19:54Representing nice.
19:55Team green.
19:56Team green.
19:57Green for money.
20:00So right now I'm making my coloring sticks.
20:03I'm melting different colors of chocolate, and I'm filling up straws.
20:10For making the drawings, I'm using wafer paper, cutting in small pieces.
20:17Very realistic.
20:19All right.
20:20Let's get this party started.
20:22I'm making my game board.
20:24I'm going to do it all on a sugar cookie with royal icing.
20:27Nancy likes her Christmas colors, so.
20:31Coming into this competition from day one, I don't know that I did believe in myself enough.
20:35But today, this is a challenge that's really heavily focused on the decorating aspect.
20:41And I really want to just crush it.
20:43We're going to go big.
20:44We better go home.
20:45Or go big or go home.
20:46That's what I meant.
20:48Not go home.
20:49Oh, look at our beautiful baby.
20:52And now the most important step is straight out the oven.
20:56So you make the syrup first, and then you have a cold syrup.
21:00And then when you pour it onto the hot baklava, that's how it really takes in that flavor.
21:04It really infuses into those nuts.
21:06And that's when you really get that ooey, gooey, scrumptious, umptious kind of baklava texture you're looking for.
21:10And now it's time to start working on the volcano.
21:13I grew up in Chicago, and I have a lot of really great memories of going out, playing in the snow.
21:19But that said, because we had so much snow all the time, a lot of my favorite holiday season memories
21:26was escaping from the snow and going somewhere a little beachier, a little more tropical.
21:31And that's part of the reason I wanted to do a volcano.
21:32It's kind of that escape from the snow.
21:34Perfect.
21:36Ten minutes left, bakers.
21:38Oh, my gosh.
21:39This is a time for details, everyone.
21:41Look at this Swiss roll.
21:42Come on.
21:43Now I need to set the scene for my cozy indoor picnic.
21:47Got lots of cute little cakes.
21:50I'm so impressed with my own fondant work.
21:52And I think the judges will be really impressed by the small details that I have put into my decoration.
21:58Chase, I'm sorry if my brownies are just the tiniest bit better.
22:02They won't be.
22:03The judges will let us know.
22:06I am making my couch out of rice cereal treats.
22:09You can't have a pillow fort without some sort of structure.
22:12And the couch is usually the structure.
22:14Then I place my gingerbread people.
22:16And then I place the spirit board right in between them.
22:20I've gone from, like, think nice.
22:23Think, like, classic holidays.
22:25Think about holiday memories.
22:26And now I'm just, like, metal, you know?
22:30I hope that reads blanket.
22:32OK, this is going to look good.
22:33This is going to work.
22:34This is going to work.
22:35For the snowshoes, I take some pretzels that I broke in hand.
22:38And so I attach it to the base of the gingerbread camel and the gingerbread person.
22:45And now it looks like they're snowshoeing together through the desert.
22:48That's cute.
22:49How we doing, nice team?
22:51We got this.
22:52This will be a little kid coloring.
22:56I place my drawings.
22:58And I place my crayons all over my dessert.
23:01Finally, I add my Christmas tree.
23:03My tree is a little bit crooked.
23:06But I think I will be safe.
23:09Five minutes left.
23:11All right.
23:12Moment of truth.
23:15Boom.
23:16Ashley.
23:17Yes.
23:18How's the game board look?
23:19Great.
23:20Very colorful.
23:22Sorry, not sorry.
23:23Boom, boom.
23:25Lobshed.
23:26What are you doing?
23:27You're making little slugs.
23:28Oh, huge.
23:29Ha!
23:30Dope.
23:31I wanted to just have really clear flavor and a very clear story.
23:36And I think the boy running with scissors is very obvious.
23:41In my design, I want to have some wafer paper cut-out snowflakes.
23:44And I think the duality of the, like, child-like paper ones and the kind of pristine gum paste cut-out ones will really add a nice, elegant design to my entourage.
23:58Two minutes.
23:59Hey, Helen.
24:00One baker's dessert is going to keep their team entirely safe from elimination.
24:05I will not lose this.
24:06Do you need something?
24:07Um, no, I'm just going to start to make my snowman.
24:11Oh, there should be little snow bags.
24:14I'm a little worried about Kamri.
24:17I just don't know.
24:18Her cake does not look decorated right now.
24:20Let's see my trees.
24:22I'm going to use porcent scoops to make my snowman.
24:25One minute left.
24:27Anyone have spare bonnet?
24:29That's out.
24:30Red, whatever.
24:31Which one?
24:32Red, black bonnet.
24:33Mm, red.
24:34Okay, great.
24:35We gotta go.
24:36We're getting the scarf for my snowman.
24:40Decorations have to be on point.
24:43There we go.
24:45Oh, Santa.
24:46Oh, my goodness.
24:49I almost forgot the spirit of Christmas.
24:50Ten seconds left.
24:56That's it.
24:57That's all she wrote.
24:59All right.
25:01All right, stop.
25:02Woo!
25:03Woo!
25:04Team Nice.
25:05You're gonna be up first and judging.
25:07All right.
25:09I'm a little stressed.
25:10I'm not gonna lie.
25:12So how are you guys feeling about Team Naughty today?
25:15They have five people now.
25:17What's going on?
25:18Yeah.
25:19They have five chances.
25:20We have three.
25:21Yeah.
25:22We really need a win today.
25:23I'm confident in us.
25:25Yeah.
25:26All right, Chase.
25:27Come on in.
25:28Oh, Chase.
25:29Your time to shine.
25:31I do feel pressure.
25:33It's absolutely crucial that we don't lose anybody else from our team.
25:36So I think we have a real battle on our hands.
25:40Hello.
25:41Hi, Chase.
25:42All right.
25:43Snow Day themed desserts.
25:44Tell us, Chase.
25:45What did you make?
25:46I had an indoor picnic, so I did a ton of fondant work, which is my first time.
25:51I am very impressed, Chase, with that fondant work.
25:56I definitely got indoor picnics immediately.
25:59The way that you made your Swiss roll, it is really, really clean.
26:04I immediately knew those were Linzer cookies.
26:06It looks really delicious.
26:07This is amazing.
26:08Screams, team.
26:09Nice.
26:10Great job.
26:12Let's cut it up, Chase.
26:15Oh, my goodness.
26:16Are you kidding me?
26:17So tell us what you made.
26:19I made a peanut butter s'more brownie.
26:23It's got a cookie crust base and a pillowy, fluffy meringue.
26:28They're going to love it.
26:29Yes.
26:30It looks so good.
26:31Cardia, you made a face when you took a bite.
26:37Seriously, Chase, this is amazing.
26:40It's satisfying.
26:41It's gooey.
26:42It's light.
26:43It's airy.
26:44It's like everything in one.
26:45Oh, wow.
26:46But it's weird because a lot of times you get a gooey brownie, it's just because it's underbaked.
26:51This is something else.
26:52It's like a cheesecake.
26:53You know, it's so beautiful.
26:56Nice job.
26:57I appreciate you all.
26:59Really spectacular.
27:00I feel a huge sigh of relief.
27:03Everything seemed to be pretty well on point.
27:06I think we can clinch this, guys.
27:08I hope so, yeah.
27:09Absolutely.
27:10Giancarlo, it's good to see you again.
27:12My Snow Day theme was coloring.
27:15This dessert is something I picture on my future.
27:19I want to build a family.
27:20I want to build a family with my husband.
27:22And this is how I saw my little boy in the indoor snow day.
27:28It's reading nice, but I think it just needs to be a little neater.
27:36I think it looks good.
27:37I don't agree.
27:39Duff.
27:40Oh, there it goes.
27:41Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
27:42No!
27:43Oh!
27:44Listen, Giancarlo, I think that it's a wrong dessert to decorate this much.
27:57You've got a Christmas tree on there.
27:58It's falling over, right?
27:59So the entremé cannot hold that kind of weight.
28:02Things are melting.
28:03You've got to clean that up.
28:04I would have picked a different dessert.
28:06That makes sense.
28:07And now I need the judges like my flavors.
28:10Ooh!
28:11Ooh!
28:12Ooh!
28:13My dessert is hazelnut praline mousse, a chocolate sponge, and a praline creme mousse.
28:24You know, the textures on this are really nice.
28:26You know, your mousse is beautiful and light and airy and not super heavy, which is great.
28:31The problem is you kind of piled up all those hazelnuts on top of each other.
28:35All I'm getting is hazelnut.
28:38Nance.
28:39I loved it.
28:40I loved every one of those hazelnuts.
28:45Come on.
28:46Giancarlo, thank you.
28:47Thank you, guys, so much.
28:48Thank you, Giancarlo.
28:49Muito obrigado.
28:50Bye-bye.
28:51Today for me was like, I'm trouble.
28:55Hello, Kamri.
28:56What was your snow day activity?
28:58Building a snowman.
28:59You know, the kids, they were having a blast outside building their snowman.
29:03And kids, come on, it's time for lunch.
29:06So they come in for some hot cocoa.
29:08They, unfortunately, leave the snowman for building later.
29:12Duff, you took the glasses off.
29:13Yeah.
29:14Yeah.
29:15You know, when I first saw it, I was like, oh, he's missing an eye.
29:18I didn't know if it might have been a pirate.
29:20Yeah.
29:21Snowman.
29:22No.
29:23I feel like without your story, I wasn't really sure what was going on.
29:27OK.
29:28Yeah.
29:29And you got some people in here that can really decorate.
29:32This is, this is OK.
29:34I know you have it in you.
29:36Like, I need you to lock in on that.
29:38Yes.
29:39Yes, ma'am.
29:40Do you feel like the judges are getting more new?
29:42Getting more tough.
29:44What are the critiques?
29:45So it is a spice cake with a maple mousseline and then a raspberry ginger jelly on the top.
29:54Maple?
29:55Yeah.
29:56No maple.
29:57OK.
29:59I get ginger.
30:00I get raspberry.
30:01I get those flavors.
30:03I think the cake itself is a little dry.
30:06Ooh.
30:07It's just, it's a little chewy.
30:10Too chewy for a cake.
30:11Yeah.
30:12OK, Kamri, thank you.
30:14You know, I don't really know how to feel other than, like, to hang.
30:18Well.
30:19Come here.
30:20Come here.
30:21I'm really hoping that some miracle happens.
30:24Anything can happen.
30:25I don't think we can, we can, we can see the clip, but we don't got to jump off it, you know?
30:30Yeah.
30:31All we need is one of us to win.
30:32I think we could take this still.
30:34Yeah.
30:35Yeah.
30:36Yeah.
30:41There's so many of us now.
30:42I know.
30:43Judges, Snow Day desserts from the Naughty team.
30:46Alex.
30:47Good luck, girl.
30:48Your premiere.
30:49Nervous to go up for judging, because this is my first judging with Team Naughty, so it'll be interesting to see how I stack up.
30:58What?
30:59What is, what is going on?
31:02Traitor!
31:03No, I was taken in the night.
31:04Benedict Arnold!
31:05I was taken.
31:06They kidnapped you.
31:08They took me from my home and they put me over there.
31:12Oh.
31:13Look how much happier you are.
31:15You love it over there.
31:16So, my theme was building a fort, an indoor fort, but to make it naughty, I have a spirit board.
31:27So, our little gingerbread folks in here have seemed to have summoned.
31:31Doesn't quite look like Santa, but if you rearrange the letters in Santa, it spells something else.
31:36It's Satan.
31:37Yeah.
31:38Yeah.
31:40I love your fort.
31:41I love your blanket.
31:43It has so much movement.
31:45It's fun.
31:46Technically, the fondant, you know, could be cleaned up a little bit.
31:50Absolutely.
31:51But it is very naughty.
31:52Very, very naughty.
31:54Very, very naughty.
31:55Oh.
31:56Okay.
31:57Uh-oh.
31:58We've got a brownie off.
32:01So, I made a triple chocolate caramel crunch brownie.
32:06I feel good about this one.
32:09It looks so good.
32:11Delicious brownie.
32:14I love the caramel.
32:16There's too much.
32:17It's really thick.
32:18That chocolate flavor was so rich and so much depth.
32:24My piece is very under because it's just, it's still batter.
32:28Oh, I'm so sorry.
32:30Uh-oh.
32:31Yeah.
32:32I don't know if I got a centerpiece or...
32:34Yeah, I came a little bit closer on the inside for it.
32:37Yeah.
32:38So, the batter is raw.
32:40It just didn't bake evenly.
32:41Right.
32:42All right, Alex.
32:44Thanks, Alex.
32:45Thank you, Alex.
32:46Sucks.
32:49Really sucks.
32:50Niko, welcome.
32:52My snow day activity was sledding.
32:54You know, other families have apple pie, pumpkin pie, yule logs.
32:59For my family, baktava is our quintessential holiday dessert.
33:03Okay.
33:04Uh...
33:05Elephant in the room.
33:06It's...
33:07Why is there a volcano?
33:08It's...
33:09Because it's naughty sledding.
33:10I was like, what's the naughtiest kind of sledding you could do?
33:13Sledding down erupting lava.
33:18Niko, I just want to get like a lawn chair and park it in your brain.
33:22And just...
33:23It's a scary place up there.
33:24I don't know if you want that.
33:25No, you don't.
33:26I do, because it's just pure entertainment.
33:31Is judging always this funny with you guys?
33:33Oh, 100%.
33:34Oh, yeah.
33:35It is so good.
33:36The naughty theme is so good.
33:37The naughty theme is just the best.
33:38So funny.
33:39Niko, I love it because it's so unique.
33:41And it's truly naughty.
33:43And I mean, with all that fire and great color, and I get sledding.
33:48So, I made a spiced baklava and a pistachio and tahini rice cereal treat volcano with a raspberry and rose lava.
34:02For me, I think there should be a little bit more of your soaking syrup. I like my baklava a little sticky.
34:09I think the flavor's great. I love that big punch of cinnamon. It's just falling apart a little bit.
34:14You're a cereal treat. You made these cereal treats.
34:16Yes, I did.
34:17It's really good.
34:18Thank you, Niko.
34:21All right, let's say hi to Ashley.
34:23I'm about to face the judges, and I think for the first time I feel pretty dang confident in this competition.
34:29So, I had playing board games. So, I made not sorry for you because I'm never sorry when I win.
34:39I like your style, girl.
34:42You know what I like about this? It looks like the whole family got involved. You know what I mean?
34:46And, like, that's what you do when you're playing board games.
34:48It screams naughty board game. Not sorry.
34:52You definitely nailed the theme of board games.
34:57Oh, my goodness.
35:00Whoa.
35:01Dang.
35:02Jeez.
35:03I made a cherry almond bar with cream cheese frosting and a almond sugar cookie.
35:09Ashley, your cherry filling is a ton of almond extract, almost to the point where it becomes like a chemical taste to it.
35:19Ooh.
35:20Okay.
35:21I think the brandy is one of the things that's enhancing the almond extract.
35:26Okay.
35:27Like, it's just not a bar to me. Like, a bar, they're definitely a little more moist. Like, this is really like a delicious pound kick.
35:37I don't care what you call it. It's delicious.
35:40Yeah.
35:41Yeah, tell them.
35:42Yeah.
35:44Thanks, Ashley.
35:45Thank you, Ashley.
35:46You know, it kind of tastes like cough syrup.
35:48I do love almonds, so I did like it, but it's not a bar.
35:52You like the brandy.
35:54Well, that, too.
35:57Tarek, welcome. All right. Tell us what you made.
36:00So, my snow day activity was snowshoeing, but the only experience I've ever had with snowshoeing was when I lived in Saudi Arabia in the middle of, like, Riyadh in a desert.
36:11So, it's like a holiday in the Middle East.
36:13I was kind of leaning naughty with, like, the gingerbread man, like, making his camel snowshoe with him, because, you know, camels don't snowshoe.
36:20It doesn't, for me, read snowshoeing right off the bat, but I love that personal touch with adding this is what snowshoeing looks like for you, and when you did it, I get it now that you've explained it.
36:32Let's give it a try, Tarek.
36:35Ooh.
36:36Oh, it's a two-tier.
36:38So, this is a carrot cake with rum raisin and a cream cheese frosting.
36:45Tarek, this is fabulous.
36:48Fabulous.
36:49That's so tasty.
36:50Okay.
36:51It's so moist.
36:52The raisins are perfect.
36:55Hint of rum, not too much.
36:57Yeah, it's a good cake.
36:58Your cream cheese frosting is delicious.
37:00I think the sand on top is actually a really nice touch.
37:03You know, adds a little crunch.
37:05All right, Tarek, thank you.
37:07Thank you, Tarek.
37:10All right, let's welcome in Charles.
37:12Going last and hearing some of the critical feedback of my whole team has definitely made me nervous.
37:19My snow day activity was cutting out paper snowflakes.
37:22I did a vanilla entremet.
37:25I decorated it with a little kind of homage to my childhood self.
37:30I loved arts and crafts as a kid and so sometimes I got a little too excited and ran with the scissors.
37:37Running with scissors is definitely naughty as a former preschool teacher and kindergarten teacher.
37:43It could hurt someone.
37:44I think this is really fun, but I think your entremet, your mirror glaze is a little wonky.
37:53I like your color choices.
37:56I think that really, really light kind of icy blue, all those snowflakes on there.
38:00And it clearly says that this is paper cut out snowflakes.
38:06I love it.
38:07Hey.
38:08Yeah.
38:09I did a vanilla entremet.
38:13It has a rice cereal crunch, a vanilla cremeux, a vanilla genois, and then a vanilla mousse.
38:21Charles, you have made this vanilla absolutely sing, man.
38:27I mean, really brought out that flavor.
38:29You get the complexity.
38:31You get the nuance of the vanilla.
38:33It's just floral.
38:34I feel like I'm in a field somewhere.
38:36It's beautiful.
38:37The flavors, your best yet.
38:39Keep this up.
38:41I'm going to eat this whole thing.
38:44It brings tears to my eyes.
38:47It's just like Grammy Carl's pastry cream.
38:50I mean, I can't begin to tell you.
38:57Nancy's really crying.
39:02Oh, really good.
39:05It takes like a dessert on another level to make someone react like that.
39:11Thank you, Charles.
39:13I feel proud of what I made and excited to hopefully finally break the second place curse.
39:20And also help my team continue on in this competition.
39:27Goodness gracious.
39:28So close.
39:29So many times.
39:30Yeah.
39:31We'll see.
39:32We'll see.
39:33Bakers, it was very interesting watching the new team configurations play out in this bake.
39:38And two of your snow day desserts just thrilled the judges.
39:42The top dessert from the naughty team came from Charles.
39:51And from the nice team, the best dessert was made by Chase.
39:57In the end, only one baker can rule this snow day.
40:03And that baker is...
40:06Charles.
40:07Thank you, Charles.
40:08Thank you, Charles.
40:09Thank you, Charles.
40:10You finally broke through.
40:12Congratulations!
40:13You did it.
40:14Your vanilla entremet was simply divine.
40:17And the snowflake theme came through clearly.
40:20Never run with scissors.
40:23All right.
40:25That verdict means that Team Nice, you're going to be losing another baker.
40:30Because you had the top dessert from your team, Chase, you are safe.
40:34Thank you, churches.
40:35That, of course, leaves Giancarlos and Kamri.
40:37Please step forward, you two.
40:40Kamri, your spice cake had texture issues.
40:44And your decorating looked unfinished.
40:47Giancarlos, there was way too much hazelnut in your entremet.
40:52And your tree was falling over, and overall, it was just really sloppy.
40:56I don't know.
40:57Maybe it was the snow on the ground, but you both really slipped up today.
41:01And unfortunately, the baker leaving this is...
41:08Kamri.
41:09Kamri, I am so sorry.
41:11We really enjoyed having you here.
41:14You could take a moment, you could say your goodbyes and exit the kitchen.
41:18I'm proud to have even gotten here in the first place.
41:22So that's like a big win in my book.
41:24And to have held on as long as I have, like, is a pretty good feeling.
41:29All right, bye, y'all.
41:30Love you, Kamri.
41:31Love you.
41:32Do great.
41:33Rock it.
41:34Thank you, Kamri.
41:35Love you.
41:37Next time, Christmas celebration like never before in the Holiday Village.
41:41Repeat after me.
41:42Rogalah.
41:43You have to make a real nasty throat noise.
41:45Rogalah.
41:47Beautiful work.
41:48I think it's the best donut on the table.
41:51And there's a major shocker.
41:53Please don't.
41:54I was not expecting that.
41:55That's out.
