00:00Back in the 2000s, MTV Cribs was one of the former music video channel's most popular
00:06and fascinating shows.
00:08Each episode took viewers into the homes of pop stars, rappers, athletes, and actors,
00:12and the celebrities themselves gave guided tours of their luxurious surroundings.
00:17Of course, it was pretty much just a setup for them to flaunt their wealth.
00:21But if viewers ever felt envious of all that stuff those stars had, well, the stars might
00:26have felt envious, too.
00:27That's because many episodes of the show were staged and actually full of lies.
00:32Here are some episodes of Cribs that weren't exactly truthful, to say the least.
00:38Robbie Williams
00:40Already a huge pop star in the U.K., the music industry tried its hardest to make Robbie Williams
00:45a big deal in the U.S., and he was forced into the spotlight just long enough to make an appearance
00:51on Cribs.
00:52But when the time came to shoot the episode and show off all his stuff, he borrowed a house
00:56and everything inside it.
00:58According to The Telegraph, the house really belonged to Jane Seymour.
01:02So, yes, Robbie was guiding us all on a tour through the home of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
01:09JoJo
01:11A teen pop starlet in the 2000s, JoJo was just 13 when her song Leave Get Out became a hit
01:17in 2004, and a hit song meant it was time for an appearance on Cribs.
01:23However, the house viewers saw wasn't her house.
01:26She was actually kind of homeless at the time.
01:29JoJo told Huffington Post that she was so busy touring, recording, and promoting her music
01:34that she and her mother were just living in hotels at the time.
01:38She added,
01:38I should have rented out a place, but no, I just used my uncle's crib, so that was me
01:43lying on Cribs.
01:45And after the filming was done, she had to, well, leave, and get out?
01:5150 Cent
01:53Curtis Jackson has won a bunch of awards.
01:56He's had a bunch of hit songs, but one thing he apparently didn't have, at least not when
02:00he appeared on Cribs, was a bunch of Ferraris.
02:03In 2007, Fiddy showed off his car collection on Cribs, which included three of the Italian
02:09Stallions.
02:10But on a forum called Ferrari Chat, one user recalled asking 50 Cent about his rides at
02:15a car show just a couple of weeks before his Cribs episode, and the rapper said he owned
02:20five cars, none of which were Ferraris.
02:23Other eagle-eyed readers pointed out that all three cars were marked with the initials
02:28SC, a notorious Ferrari collector who posted photos of the exact same cars as the ones
02:34that were supposed to be in 50 Cent's possession.
02:37You're part of the Ferrari club.
02:39Bow Wow
02:41When rapper Bow Wow boasted his way through his Miami mansion, he was especially proud
02:46of his fleet of very fancy cars.
02:49But while the movie Like Mike apparently made enough money to get Bow Wow a decent-sized
02:53home, these cars were not his.
02:56According to EGM Car Tech, car enthusiasts are not his.
