00:00definitely wasn't part of our plan but me and david have just been touring our asses off
00:05seriously like seriously since uh since since covid really and it wasn't again it wasn't our
00:10plan but because i think there was not a whole lot going on we're like okay let's just go on
00:16tour together for a certain period of time and then we just kept going we just keep doing more
00:21and more dates and the shows are so fun the touring is um you know the hard part of the work
00:27like the traveling and being out of your suitcase and this that and the other but the actual
00:31the actual stage time where we get to engage with an audience and tell our story of this like
00:36unconventional way that we met and i was a contestant on american idol and um he was a guest
00:42mentor we get to tell these really kind of interesting stories of our unconventional love
00:48story so we we enjoy it i know it's not forever like we know it's we're not gonna be touring
00:52doing this forever but in the meantime it's been a great way to to make a living do you like
00:57pick his brain about music and just the industry itself i mean i imagine clearly he is very
01:03successful what he's accomplished and you know he's your husband but is there times when like
01:06professionally you just get his insight a lot yeah it's it's rare because it it i don't just
01:12ask him randomly out of curiosity it's like something has to sort of spark my interest
01:18um but i'll yeah i think something will come up and i'll maybe ask him like oh i know for sure that
01:24i asked him when you were recording whitney doing i will always love you or celine dion doing
01:30yeah when like when celine dion was doing uh all by myself you know these like crazy notes these crazy
01:37moments they're he's hoping that he's going to create history right but like was your jaw just on
01:44the draft the drown was your was your jaw just on the ground when you were hearing these these vocals
01:50come out and he's just so funny he's like no no we're just we're doing a job another day for him
01:56at the office another day yeah and that's hard to like for people who you me anybody who love these
02:05singers it's hard to imagine that you wouldn't be like just wanting to be a spectator opposed to
02:11being the person who's creating all of this but yeah i mean that's but i'll ask him things like that
02:17just was there any moments where you know he just like i like his story when he talks about
02:24finding celine dion for the first time like those are those are stories i've heard a lot um
02:30but but yeah i know most of his little secrets so and if you don't mind me asking what's your
02:37reaction to sarah and aaron's major success from nobody wants this i imagine i gotta catch up on season
02:43too i'm a little behind even though they gave me the episodes early a lot of television going on
02:47but i mean what if they're not so yeah i've only watched the first three episodes of this season so
02:53far um and i'm you know i'm just such a huge fan of aaron's writing i think she's brilliant she um
03:01is so conversational and it's just so her like if you know aaron which obviously i do um she's my
03:07stepdaughter what can i say um but no she just has a very unique voice and it's so uh it's so thrilling
03:18to see this show come to life and it's just it's so her it's exactly who she is and and i i would
03:27argue that sarah is probably a very um she could probably rival hillary shore as a producer i think
03:34the two of them are both incredibly strong women and they're smart and um so i'm just like super
03:42happy for their success i'm actually i'm the biggest champion like i'm wearing favorite daughter
03:46right now this is a little just casual shirt that wasn't on purpose but but yeah i mean i it's their
03:52their success is inspiring and also you know these girls have come from uh a upbringing that
04:00was exposed to a lot of um you know celebrity and like they grew up in a world where they
04:07their dad was with all these major major superstars and it never jaded them and it never
04:16made them feel entitled that they should have all those things just because of the world that they
04:21grew up in and so i'm i'm like really proud of them i have nothing to do with it
04:25his mom their mom and dad did a really great job and um sometimes when i you know tell david like
04:31you know not to be like so hard on runny in some ways you know like i'll just jump in and then
04:38i'll stop myself because i'm like wait he's done a good job with aaron sarah and jordan and amy his
04:42other other kids like i'll let him have this one you know
