00:00Hold on to your seats, in this episode of Doctor Who Unleashed, we have the exclusive inside story of the 15th Doctor's Regeneration.
00:16You know what's gonna happen when you get cast, you're like, I'm gonna have to hand this baton over one time, it's all gonna come to an end soon.
00:21Yeah.
00:22Look who's back.
00:23You've redecorated.
00:25I don't like it.
00:27Nobody knows really, I only found out this morning.
00:30Oh, did you?
00:30It's not so much of a secret this is.
00:32Oh, right.
00:33Okay.
00:33We've got an exclusive interview with the Hooniverse's latest star, and we say goodbye for now to not one, but two companions.
00:43I just had a moment where I was like, I'm actually just saying goodbye to all of this.
00:49And so, for the last time this series, welcome to Doctor Who Unleashed.
00:57Oh, come on.
01:05Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
01:09Where to begin?
01:11Well, there's only one place we can begin, really.
01:14Joy to the world!
01:16The end.
01:18The end of the season, the end of an era, the end of the 15th Doctor.
01:23How have you felt then, realising these last few weeks will have been your last, as the Doctor winding down, how have you felt, how are you feeling?
01:40Feeling, feeling complete, feeling, um, you know it's going to happen when you get cast, you're like, I'm going to have to hand this baton over one time, it's all going to come to an end soon.
01:51Yeah.
01:51Um, and so, I feel like I've been in constant preparation for that.
01:57It's been bittersweet, as I can imagine, it's been for all doctors.
02:01Just looking at the console before regenerating was like, my God, this console has been here for 60 years.
02:11Yeah, yeah.
02:11And I was here for some of those years.
02:13And how magic.
02:15But also, my body is tired.
02:18You've tired me.
02:19You've tired me and I'm old now and I'm ready.
02:22Yeah.
02:23Ready to settle down.
02:24Oh!
02:25Ouch!
02:27When you will get a chance to reflect back on the last couple of years as the Doctor, how do you think you'll feel, what will be your emotions?
02:34Um, pure joy and like magic and like, this was a magic time.
02:46It's a demanding role.
02:48Hmm.
02:48So it demands a lot of you.
02:50And so, because of that, you're like, in a state of like, just doing when you're in it.
02:57And it's only in these like, final moments or what will be in like, future moments where you look back and you're like, wow, we created something special.
03:05And also, I was a part of a show that is so special and so magical and legendary.
03:13Yeah.
03:15What?
03:17What?
03:18What?
03:19You can't help but like, replay just all your first moments in here.
03:23Yeah.
03:23The first time I was on Wires with Millie on that corner.
03:26What?
03:27Introducing Ruby to the, to the jukebox.
03:31Oh, jukebox.
03:33I like that.
03:34Running around all of you, like you, that was playing in my head in the final scenes.
03:39Okay.
03:40Come on.
03:40That looks good.
03:42It's just like, ah, so, so much fun.
03:47Yeah.
03:47And so much joy and so much brilliance and, yeah, I will look back on it with a full, full heart.
03:52If I had to press you, which I do, on a, on a particular favourite memory.
03:58I don't know.
03:58Doing something, like whenever I was on the Wires and you're like, in a ridiculous situation,
04:04which you are in a lot of the time in this show.
04:07Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:08Where like, this is a lot of people working and you're like dangling 20 feet high on, somewhere and you just have to have a chat.
04:15Yeah, yeah.
04:16Three, two, one, drop.
04:23And rest.
04:24Look out there.
04:25Look out there.
04:25Look out there.
04:26This will be your first interview after this happened.
04:29Okay.
04:29So, fans will be watching this and they'll be sad, some of them, that you'll be moving on.
04:34What would your message to them be?
04:35I love you.
04:36I love you, Whovians, so much.
04:38Thank you so much for embracing me.
04:40The level of love that the Whovians pour into the show is part of the magic of the show.
04:46They give so much to the show and so thank you all, Whovians, for like, for embracing me, embracing Millie, embracing V in this new chapter that Doctor Who's in and just for all the love and support.
05:00It's been truly heartfelt.
05:04So, keep doing what you're doing.
05:06Keep leaking our set locations and all of the craziness that you do.
05:12Love.
05:12This has been an absolute joy.
05:23The 15th Doctor might be saying adios, amigos, but there's a new star rising in the two-part finale.
05:30Meow.
05:31All you Whovians will have immediately clocked that John and Belinda's daughter, Poppy, is somewhat familiar.
05:37A very young Sienna Robin Mavanga Phipps starred as Captain Poppy in last season's Space Babies.
05:44I'm Captain Poppy and I kept the station running for Mummy and Daddy because we need to come back for us one day.
05:51That was then.
05:52This is now, 12 months later, Sienna's back, no longer a baby, now a toddler.
06:01And as this is unleashed, we've got a world-exclusive interview with the star herself.
06:06So, is she excited to be back?
06:08Doctor Who!
06:09Now, they do say they never work with children or animals.
06:12Yeah.
06:12But you're having a ball working with little Sienna.
06:15Oh, my God, she's gorgeous.
06:17She's just perfect.
06:19I got your nose.
06:20You got my nose.
06:22It was a little trickier this time because, like, just at the start, because she's a bit older, she was a bit more aware.
06:28So, things were a bit scarier to her.
06:30Yeah.
06:31But then she got used to me and V.
06:32And then she started asking to go again.
06:34We'd finish a take and she was like, again?
06:37It's a delight being able to work with her.
06:39She's so funny.
06:40Who house is this?
06:42It's Shuti's house.
06:44What?
06:44She comes out with some absolute gems.
06:49Flick.
06:50I'm flick.
06:51I mean, Shuti's obviously got his amazing denim, kilt, outfit, thing.
06:57And, you know, we all just acknowledge that he looks absolutely incredible.
07:02He leans in and the first thing she said is,
07:04What are you wearing?
07:06Yeah.
07:07It was so funny.
07:12I wonder whether they've got that on camera because that happened and it was brilliant.
07:17Oh, she's gorgeous.
07:20There was a moment when we were shooting with Sienna.
07:23100% human.
07:24I asked, well, what else would she be?
07:27And completely, you know, deadpan, said,
07:32Doctor Who.
07:39She's coming for your job, Shuti.
07:40She is.
07:41She is.
07:42She's Doctor Who.
07:43She is the real star of Doctor Who.
07:46Both seasons strong.
07:48Standout performance, man.
07:50That's the next Doctor.
07:51I'm telling you.
07:53Hi, happy news.
07:55Still to come on Doctor Who Unleashed.
08:02We say goodbye to not one, but two companions.
08:06Hi.
08:07I join the costume department for my work experience.
08:11So we can put this down, down these two.
08:15And we're there to capture Shuti's very last moments as the 15th Doctor.
08:21She's to get where you were at.
08:28But first.
08:29Every day, we get what's called a call sheet.
08:36A list of what's being shot that day and the names of all the actors that are going to be on set.
08:41Now this morning, there's a bit of a buzz as one of the actors on the call sheet is called Petrol.
08:47Nothing else, just Petrol.
08:50But who is this mysterious Petrol?
08:52Well, there have been wild rumours flying around.
08:55Is it Daniel Craig?
08:56Is it Dame Judi Dench or Lady Gaga?
08:59Just some of the names being mentioned.
09:01Whoever it is, it must be someone of significance.
09:04As Russell's on set today, and he's looking rather excited,
09:08the Unleashed crew have gone off in search of director Alex Pillai,
09:11and he's about to reveal who Petrol actually is.
09:15So, we are awaiting the arrival of Jodie Whittaker
09:19for our fantastic scene with the two doctors,
09:22the 13th and the 15th doctors, on our TARDIS.
09:26And the interesting thing is that Jodie has not seen the set.
09:30So, when she comes in, we're going to take her up the stairs
09:33and reveal all of it.
09:40Where did you go?
09:41I'm Alex.
09:44What an entry.
09:45Hello, darling.
09:46You can hear me go with me.
09:47Of course I got.
09:48Well, Jonathan here follows me everywhere.
09:51On holiday?
09:51In the loo, everything.
09:54Are you ready to go and have a look?
09:55Yeah.
09:56I don't know.
09:57Oh, my God, it's massive.
10:02So beautiful.
10:04Yeah, isn't this immense?
10:06So, yes, Petrol is 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker.
10:10So, what does it feel like to be back on a set of Doctor Who, then?
10:12I am incredibly hyperactive.
10:15There's a few familiar faces.
10:18Yeah.
10:18Some of which I haven't seen literally since I left,
10:22and I felt incredibly emotional when I saw them.
10:25But also, getting back into my costume, I was like a pig in poo.
10:29Very well put.
10:31Yeah, very well put.
10:33But I was, A, delighted it's still fit, and delighted that I still look classy.
10:40But I've got a wig.
10:41That's the only difference.
10:42But I think it's such a good wig.
10:43I've got long brown hair at the moment.
10:44Yeah.
10:45And that's not very 13.
10:47The 13th Doctor was last seen in October 2022,
10:52when she regenerated into the 14th Doctor, the returning David Tennant.
10:57So, how did Jodie react when she was invited back?
11:01Like, yeah, I don't need to read anything.
11:03I don't need to know anything.
11:04Yeah.
11:04I probably won't even know my lines, guys.
11:06But I was like, whatever it is, I'll be there.
11:09But I did know I was working.
11:11Yeah.
11:11So, that was the only tense thing,
11:13was that I already knew I was going to be away on another job,
11:16which obviously couldn't know about this job,
11:18but needed to kind of release me.
11:19Yeah.
11:20So, all back to the joys of secretive Doctor Who,
11:24which, the anxiety and stress of keeping secrets,
11:27I was like, long gone, and then now I'm back in it.
11:29What are you doing here?
11:31I've been popped.
11:32Like, pop out of my own timeline,
11:35because there's a great big time schism on its way,
11:38caused by you.
11:39You just slipped back into it.
11:41I'll tell you what,
11:42because I pitched 13 at like,
11:44when I was looking at the lines,
11:46I was like, oh, God.
11:47It's quite meaty.
11:48It's quite script, isn't it?
11:49And I obviously can't let the better Doctor down.
11:53And I've never met him,
11:55but I'm having such a lovely time.
11:56Yeah.
11:56And I knew there were one proper sci-fi line.
12:00That was going to get wrong.
12:01Is this going to hurt?
12:03Try shifting your third strand.
12:05Is this going to hurt?
12:07Try shifting your third strand phenomarkers.
12:10One micro spasm to the left.
12:12It just might help.
12:13And I have got it wrong multiple times.
12:15But you've also got it right?
12:16Yeah.
12:16And do you know what?
12:17You only need one take.
12:19Exactly.
12:19And a really great editor.
12:21Thank you, Mr. Editor,
12:22for sounding that out.
12:23Miz.
12:24Oh, yeah.
12:24Sorry, Miz Editor.
12:25Good point.
12:27Now, it's all very secret that you're here.
12:29Like, you're...
12:30Nobody knows, really,
12:31that Jodie's here.
12:31I only found out this morning.
12:33Oh, did I?
12:33So that's how much of a secret this is.
12:35Oh, right.
12:36OK.
12:37You've got a code name.
12:38Did you know that?
12:39Yeah.
12:39I've had to learn my lines like that
12:41and it's really thrown me.
12:42Oh, no.
12:43Do you mean the character name that I've got?
12:44Yeah.
12:44So on the call sheet,
12:45you're down as Petrol.
12:46No, I know.
12:47And so in the scene,
12:48when I was learning my lines,
12:49for Dr. 15,
12:50was Clive.
12:52You wasn't Clive.
12:52Clive and Petrol.
12:54Do you get to choose a code name?
12:55I've got, like,
12:56an actual, like,
12:57I've got a pseudonym
12:58for, like, checking into hotels,
12:59which I'm not putting online.
13:00No, no.
13:00That's a good idea.
13:01Keep that to yourself.
13:01Not much of a pseudonym, then, is it?
13:03But if you were in a hotel
13:04and someone called Petrol beat you,
13:05you know who it is.
13:07Petrol Whitaker.
13:11So Geordie was Petrol
13:12and Shootie was Clive,
13:14which got me to thinking...
13:15When you're, you know,
13:16maybe one day
13:17sneaking back in as Belinda
13:19for some storyline
13:21in the far future
13:22of Doctor Who Knows
13:23and you've got to be a code name,
13:24what would your code name be?
13:26Jumpsuit.
13:27Oh, that's good.
13:29She loves a good jumpsuit.
13:31She loves a good jumpsuit.
13:33I don't know.
13:35Checkered?
13:36I wear so much check.
13:37I mean, maybe pinstripe, actually.
13:39Pinstripe, yeah.
13:40Pinstripe.
13:41I'm just like David Tennant
13:42for this episode,
13:42so, yeah, I'll be pinstripe.
13:45Have you ever had a code name
13:46in the past,
13:47or would you have a code name
13:48if you were to...
13:49Roatug.
13:49What?
13:50Straight away?
13:51Oh, Coffee Bean.
13:52That's a good one.
13:53That is a good one.
13:54Yeah.
13:54Be coffee head.
13:55Yeah.
13:56Do you have a nickname in school,
13:57maybe,
13:57or do you have a pet?
13:58Do you have a pet or a name?
13:59Oh, my nickname in primary school
14:01is Chopsy,
14:02so I don't know
14:04whether that would be
14:05very good on a course sheet.
14:07Chopsy.
14:07Yeah.
14:08I like it.
14:09But no...
14:09For the non-Welsh people
14:10watching,
14:11Chopsy means...
14:12Like, talkative.
14:13Yeah.
14:13Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:14Or mouthy.
14:16Yeah.
14:17I've got a funny skill.
14:18Okay.
14:19I can tap dance,
14:20and I still tap dance.
14:21Do you?
14:21Maybe I'd be the tapper.
14:22There we are.
14:23There we are.
14:26Probably butterfly.
14:27Butterfly's a good one.
14:28Float in and out.
14:29Yeah.
14:30No one notices me on set.
14:32I'm going to go diesel.
14:33I'm trying to think
14:33what diesel means.
14:35I mean,
14:35it sounds quite...
14:35It sounds like quite...
14:36Quite earthy,
14:37quite rustic.
14:38It sounds cool.
14:38It does sound cool.
14:40It's like a motorbiking thing.
14:41Yeah,
14:41and you've got a leather jacket.
14:42Yeah, yeah.
14:43So maybe that's the vibe
14:44I want to go for.
14:44Yeah, okay, right, right.
14:45Then they meet me
14:46and they go,
14:47he ain't that.
14:49When we had our special guest
14:50in here the other day,
14:52and on the call sheet,
14:54she was down as Petrol.
14:55She was called Petrol.
14:56Why?
14:57I'll tell you why.
14:59Because one day
15:01I think there'll be
15:01a companion called Petrol.
15:02It's been a name
15:03that's been in my head
15:04for a long while.
15:05Is it?
15:06Yeah, and I might use it one day.
15:07I might not.
15:07I might have someone
15:08called Felicity
15:09from 1602 or something,
15:11but equally Petrol.
15:12It's a good name.
15:13Oh, you like it.
15:13Okay, there we are.
15:14Yeah, it works, doesn't it?
15:15Everyone kind of picked up on that.
15:16Yeah, well, we did.
15:17We've been asking everyone
15:18what their code name would be
15:19as a result.
15:19Exactly, no one's like
15:20what's the code name?
15:21Something about the word Petrol
15:22that goes ping like that.
15:23So one day,
15:24maybe you might see
15:25a Petrol in Doctor Who.
15:31Without wishing
15:32to turn this episode
15:33into a wake,
15:34we're also here
15:35to say farewell
15:35to not one,
15:36but two companions.
15:38Ruby Sunday.
15:39What's your name?
15:40Ruby.
15:41Ruby Sunday.
15:42Hello, Ruby Sunday.
15:43Hello.
15:43I'm the doctor.
15:45Hi.
15:46I'm Belinda Chandra.
15:47So what's your name?
15:49Doctor what?
15:50Just the doctor.
15:51All right then.
15:52I'm called the nurse.
15:53I have loved playing Belinda.
15:56I love the idea
15:58that I get to play
15:59this fiery,
16:00powerful,
16:02strong woman
16:03who is constantly tested
16:06by this nutcase of a man.
16:09Doctor!
16:10I told you,
16:11get me home!
16:12There's no other job
16:13that would give you
16:14the opportunity
16:15to be able to
16:16see the same character
16:17in all these
16:18different circumstances.
16:19No!
16:20Oh my God!
16:21It's Marilyn!
16:22I don't know
16:22if I'll ever have that again.
16:27I know this is the end
16:27of Belinda for now,
16:28but it's never really
16:30the end.
16:30It's the end, Doctor Who,
16:31is it?
16:31Come on.
16:32We all know what happens.
16:34So you'll probably
16:34be back here eventually.
16:35But in terms of this bit,
16:37have you had a chance
16:39to reflect back on it so far?
16:40Are you still in the middle of...
16:41Actually, I've got to
16:42finish it off first.
16:42There are moments
16:44where it catches you out.
16:45When we were shooting
16:46in the garden
16:46for the goodbye sequence,
16:48I just had a moment
16:49where I was like,
16:50I'm actually just saying goodbye
16:53to all of this,
16:56which I probably should have
16:57thought about before
16:59that day.
17:00Did it catch you?
17:01It did.
17:02But then it's also
17:03when you're holding a baby,
17:05it's like,
17:06I can't fall apart
17:06when I'm holding you.
17:07So I have to hold it together.
17:10Yeah.
17:10Even though my instinct
17:12is to just be like,
17:13bye, you know?
17:15But yeah, it did.
17:17It really caught me.
17:18It's always after
17:19filming a show
17:20that I get the post-show blues.
17:22And I think I'm going
17:23to be looking back
17:23at all the Unleashed episodes
17:26and all the footage
17:29very, very fondly.
17:30This is the end
17:35of a journey
17:35that you started
17:36with Chuty
17:36all that time ago.
17:38What's it like
17:38to be here at the end?
17:40You were there
17:40at the beginning,
17:41now you're here
17:41at the end as well.
17:42Oh, my gosh.
17:42I remember that.
17:43I mean,
17:44I remember when I met you.
17:45Yeah.
17:45Hello, has anybody
17:46seen Millie anywhere?
17:47Has anybody...
17:48Oh, you're there!
17:49Sorry!
17:50Oh, my gosh, yeah.
17:51It seems like
17:52forever ago
17:53and also yesterday.
17:54I think we've both
17:55been on such a
17:56prominent journey together
17:58and it's a very unique
17:58one as well.
17:59I feel like no one
18:00really understands
18:01this experience
18:01until you're
18:02in the universe world
18:04as it is.
18:11From kilts and coats
18:13to spacesuits
18:14and sharpsuits.
18:16Action.
18:17The costume department
18:18design, create and manage
18:20all of the cast's clothing.
18:22For this episode's
18:23work experience,
18:24I'm being entrusted
18:25to help one thread
18:26of this very big department.
18:28Well, Michelle,
18:30I'm excited to be with you today.
18:31What exactly is your title?
18:33Because it's quite...
18:34It's a big department
18:35and I can't be honest,
18:36I don't exactly know
18:37what everybody does.
18:38I know you're all busy,
18:38everybody flies around
18:39and everybody's holding stuff.
18:41So I'm a principal costume
18:42standby,
18:43so I mainly do principals.
18:44Yeah, so principals,
18:46that means that's the main actors
18:47rather than the supporting actors.
18:49Yes, yeah.
18:50As the principal costume standby,
18:53Michelle is responsible
18:54for dressing
18:55and maintaining
18:55the main character actors
18:57and there's lots to do
18:58even before the cameras
19:00start rolling.
19:01Obviously, you're a sort of
19:03a bit of a linchpin, right?
19:04Because you're looking
19:04after what they look like,
19:05but all the departments
19:06must come to you,
19:08I suppose.
19:08You're working with everyone.
19:09Yeah, so sound in the morning,
19:11we work with sound.
19:12So we've got to make sure
19:14that the mics are hidden
19:15and so that's what
19:16we're going to be doing
19:17in a minute.
19:17It's OK for us to mic.
19:19First task of the day,
19:21mic up one of the principal actors.
19:23Hi.
19:23Hi.
19:23And lucky for Varada,
19:26it's her.
19:27So you've got to make sure
19:28basically this goes on
19:29without messing any of the work
19:30that you've already done.
19:31Yeah, so the sound department
19:32have come up this very clever,
19:34clever,
19:35so we've got to put this down
19:37down V's top.
19:40So let's...
19:41Are we going under the vest?
19:44Under the vest.
19:46Wait.
19:46The great thing with this
19:47is you don't have to
19:48undo any of the costume.
19:50So then...
19:50So that goes down the...
19:51I did not think the sound
19:52would go down the lace.
19:53Oh, you can pull that back.
19:55Oh, yeah.
19:55Thank God.
19:56This is quite...
19:57It's early in the morning.
19:58People will want to chat sometimes.
19:59They'll be in the zone, right?
20:00And you've got to feed off that
20:01if you're putting a costume on.
20:02Oh, yes, I'm very good at
20:03like kind of that non-verbal dialogue,
20:05you know, especially if
20:06there's a lot of lines to learn.
20:08Yeah.
20:09Things like that.
20:09I just come in like a little ninja
20:11and just kind of, you know,
20:12do my bits half-packed
20:14and then go out.
20:14So, yeah, I'm very respectful.
20:15The best thing about Michelle
20:17is keeping me warm.
20:19Like, you're the best
20:19at keeping me warm.
20:21I'll be dreading
20:21like wearing the dress that day.
20:23And somehow, I just...
20:25I've got nothing to worry about
20:27because I'll just be totally warm
20:28like the whole time.
20:30Bit like a mum, kind of.
20:31I like to make sure
20:31that everybody is comfortable
20:33and warm and, you know,
20:35so you can do your job as well,
20:36you know?
20:36Yeah.
20:36So that's the most important thing.
20:38So it's...
20:39And on that note,
20:39we should probably let you go
20:40and do your job.
20:41Yes, yeah.
20:41So what I'm discovering so far
20:43is that keeping people warm
20:44is really important in this job.
20:47And also like having chat.
20:48Lots of chat
20:49or sometimes no chat at all.
20:50So like,
20:52we've got small talk game
20:53and this could be the job game.
20:56Right, time to mose on over
20:58to the unit set
20:59for today's scenes.
21:01There are lots of actors
21:02with lots of costumes
21:04and lots of details to be checked.
21:08So Michelle and I set up
21:09where we can oversee everything.
21:12So these are the Chex monitors of this.
21:14Yes.
21:14So when they rehearse,
21:16they'll rehearse then on camera
21:18and then we can see kind of what's going on
21:20to see what the costume's doing.
21:22Do we need to do any rigging?
21:23What I like to do
21:24is I like to kind of do in my head
21:26like pre-checks.
21:27What do I need?
21:28What's the costume doing?
21:29What kind of do I need to do on Chex?
21:31Yeah.
21:31Because you have maybe
21:32about 30 seconds to a minute
21:33to do Chex.
21:34Right.
21:35So you've got to solve loads of problems.
21:36So Chex is when
21:37basically they're about to start filming
21:38and they call Chex
21:39and everybody runs in
21:40and has to make sure
21:41that everything looks good
21:42so that they can start filming.
21:43Yeah.
21:44With a break in rehearsals,
21:46Michelle and I get to work.
21:48Making sure the cast
21:49are looking as they should
21:50and staying warm
21:51and comfortable.
21:52Oh, thank you.
21:53Nice.
21:54Stay warm.
21:54So how did you end up doing this?
21:5817 years ago,
21:59something after I started.
22:00So I was a teacher before that.
22:02Were you?
22:02Yeah.
22:03So I went back to uni
22:04when I was 25
22:05and then retrained
22:07and then just did
22:09all my work experience
22:10in TV, film and theatre.
22:12Yeah.
22:13And slowly kind of worked my way in.
22:15You know,
22:15got to do quick sewing jobs,
22:17you know,
22:17so a quick kind of alteration.
22:19Kind of having the broad range
22:20of, you know,
22:21spectrum of skills,
22:22I think is really...
22:23And people skills.
22:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
22:24Reading the room,
22:26you know,
22:26kind of keeping people calm as well.
22:29I'm known as Mama Mish.
22:30I was going to say,
22:30you're basically
22:31you're on-set therapist,
22:32aren't you, Miss?
22:32I know.
22:33Basically.
22:34So do you not hover
22:35until they're back ready to go again
22:36and you take it away?
22:37Yes.
22:38So I...
22:39So we're hovering?
22:40We're hovering.
22:41So,
22:41we are moving on
22:42to set up to everyone.
22:44Director Alex calls
22:45for the next set up
22:47and that's my call to action.
22:48Sorry, I know it's cold.
22:50I need to take this from the world.
22:52Sorry.
22:53Come on.
22:53You're a professional.
22:54You've got this.
22:54You can do it.
22:58That's right.
22:59She's doing, you know,
22:59on it.
23:00On it.
23:00She wasn't even there.
23:02So there we are,
23:03Michelle.
23:03Well, thank you very much
23:04for showing me the ropes.
23:05Pleasure.
23:07Feedback?
23:07You were very good.
23:09Very attentive.
23:10Yeah.
23:10Good.
23:11You can join our team.
23:12It's a win-win.
23:14That's the best feedback I've had.
23:17This is great.
23:17We'll get you sewing next.
23:19Oh, yeah.
23:20Yeah.
23:20We'll do some sewing jobs next time.
23:23I don't know if I've got my calluses aren't ready yet.
23:25Have we got thimbles?
23:26Okay, it's fine.
23:27In an episode full of landmark moments,
23:36let's have one more, shall we?
23:37the last scene
23:39that Shooty got one shot
23:40as the 15th Doctor.
23:44At last!
23:45It's now officially
23:47May the 24th,
23:49the day we thought
23:49would never arrive.
23:52Congratulations!
23:54With everyone
23:54who is anyone
23:55here to witness
23:56Shooty's last scene,
23:58I want to get a word
23:59on the man himself
24:00from those who know him best.
24:02It's amazing to look back
24:03and think what Shooty's
24:04brought to the Doctor.
24:05And I think famously
24:06he is a more emotional Doctor
24:09than we've ever seen before.
24:10I mean, it's not an emotion
24:11you can't name.
24:12That's the glorious thing
24:13about he's being angry.
24:15He's being funny.
24:17You're Scooby-Doo.
24:18Honey, I'm Velma.
24:19He's been joyous.
24:21He's been lonely.
24:22He's been brave.
24:22He's been optimistic.
24:24He's been sad.
24:26Name an emotion
24:27the man hasn't put into this.
24:29It's just Doctor Who
24:30played to 100%.
24:31I think he has a flair,
24:34a natural flair
24:35for being this kind of
24:36otherworldly being.
24:39He is inherently
24:40such a special person
24:41and I think he really brings
24:43that sparkle to the Doctor.
24:46And she's toasting
24:47a pumpkin lassie.
24:50Shooty is unique
24:51and I've loved every second
24:55of working with him.
24:57I think he is pure magic.
25:01He's a star.
25:04I'm the Doctor.
25:07Obviously, when you come
25:07to an end of something,
25:09you like to look back
25:09on favourite moments.
25:11Is there a standout piece
25:12of 15 that you love?
25:14Oh, it's hard.
25:14I mean, I want to wheel
25:1518 episodes in front of you
25:17and show them all.
25:18I think the ending
25:19of Fine Time,
25:20the ending of Dot and Bubble
25:21is the most important,
25:22which is day one for him.
25:27Oh!
25:29Down!
25:32Down!
25:33Which is the most
25:34extraordinary performance
25:35I've ever seen on camera
25:35from anyone.
25:37But actually, do you know what?
25:37I'm going to choose
25:38a really unexpected moment.
25:39I'm going to choose
25:39the end of the
25:41Interstellar Song Contest
25:42where they're standing
25:43in the corridor
25:43and Belinda tells him
25:44he's wonderful.
25:46I think this is shooting
25:46at his absolute best.
25:48You're wonderful.
25:50Do you look at his face
25:51in that moment?
25:52He's kind of wary.
25:53He's in love with her.
25:55He's impressed.
25:56He's lofty.
25:57He's a bit aloof
25:58like she's an ant.
25:59He's intimate
26:00like she's the most important.
26:02Just look at his face.
26:03All he does is smile at her.
26:04Look a bit puzzled
26:05and happy and hugs her.
26:07And moments like that,
26:08that's just true
26:09brilliance in that moment.
26:11I don't know
26:11what he's thinking
26:12in that moment.
26:12And that's very rare.
26:17Listen up.
26:19It's my honour
26:20and privilege
26:21to do this.
26:23We've been on part of a journey,
26:24you and I,
26:25since summer 2022
26:26where we put you
26:28in a shirt and pad
26:29and we put you
26:29on the helipad.
26:32Thank you for all your
26:33hard work on this series.
26:35You are a magnificent doctor.
26:41You're now part of a really
26:48special family.
26:50So as annoying as we are,
26:51we're always here.
26:52and there's always
26:56a C on the TARDIS
26:57for you.
26:59Shooter, get one,
27:00you are right.
27:07He's been
27:08an incredible doctor
27:09and he's an incredible person,
27:11an incredible actor.
27:12We love you.
27:14Shooter.
27:18He's just brilliant
27:19at everything.
27:21It just feels very special
27:22that I got to be here
27:24for his entire role.
27:26He's taken it
27:27and blown something
27:29so very special
27:30and so of himself
27:33into it.
27:33I love him.
27:37I think there's going
27:37to be a lot of people
27:38that are really sad.
27:40It's a closing
27:41of a chapter
27:42and I think
27:44he's going to be
27:44treasured forever
27:45because he's
27:47spectacular.
27:49Everyone here
27:50is amazing.
27:51I'm terrible
27:52with words
27:53but
27:54the crew here
27:57like really are like
27:59the petrol
28:01to this place
28:01and thank you so much
28:02for the past two years
28:03at this place
28:04to show there's so much
28:05love
28:06and hard work
28:07and the hard work
28:08that goes into
28:09creating these
28:11incredible scripts
28:11every day
28:12is exceptional.
28:15Thanks for my two companions.
28:18There are no words.
28:20There are no words.
28:20I have no words
28:21for
28:21this experience
28:25but just thank you.
28:28Everyone.
28:33Come on, everyone.
28:39Aja, we'll come and see you
28:40in one second.
28:44I love it.
29:07I love it.
29:09I love it.
