00:00Here's me beautiful blushing bride. There we are. I'm going in single and I'm coming out married.
00:13Paul's here if I need somebody to open a jar. I don't ever have to take out my own trash and I
00:21ask him to do something and he does it. He's a great kid. Other kids could move in and maybe
00:26it wouldn't work out but if I had to live with a grandkid he's the perfect one. I love this kid.
00:31Thank you. I love you too. You're welcome. There's gonna reach a point that we're not so active and
00:37there's a lot of us and I worry that that's gonna be a problem that society as a whole isn't gonna
00:44be ready for a whole generation of old folks. I am here taking care of my grandmother. My friends are
00:54always helping their grandmothers out and when it comes time for like the baby boomers to like
00:59start getting really old they're gonna lose their facilities. They're gonna start losing this sense
01:05of self and we're gonna be the ones to take care of it. Age of course now with the first baby boomer
01:10turning 80 is gonna put a spotlight on the older old population and you know the reason they had
01:18the spotlight on them is first because they're a big generation but then they also did kind of
01:22important things and back in the 1960s they were a big part of demonstrating in the civil rights
01:28movement protesting against the war in Vietnam. In a way they they draw attention to themselves for
01:33these kind of younger issues in the United States. One issue of course with this doubling of the 80
01:38year old population over the next 20 years is the caretaker population. Baby boomers didn't have as
01:44many kids as their parents did because they were the baby boomers and so they don't have as many kids
01:50to sort of look out for them and then there are other kinds of care workers that they need to rely on
01:55and we need to make sure that those people are available. Maybe immigration is a piece of that puzzle.
