Ollie takes a look at who Crystal Palace could be signing in the January transfer window
Transcript
00:00Crystal Palace need another attacker in January.
00:03Fifth in the league, quarter-finals of the League Cup and European knockouts on the horizon,
00:07Palace have an opportunity to deliver a second successive historic season
00:11and potentially persuade their best ever manager to stay.
00:14A lot of that hinges on adding one more first-team quality piece to this side.
00:19But who?
00:20Palace need someone who is ready now.
00:22An on-brand pick?
00:24Raheem Sterling.
00:25Now hear me out.
00:26Palace love a Chelsea loan.
00:28Sterling wants out and fits the profile Palace are after.
00:31He can play either side.
00:32He's good on the shoulder of the last defender and his attacking positioning is strong.
00:36Chelsea need to get rid.
00:37Palace need someone to take some minutes off Sarr's shoulders.
00:40I see it.
00:41Brennan Johnson is a name that's been thrown around.
00:42And again, don't laugh at this suggestion.
00:44Johnson and Sarr are very similar players.
00:47Good runners in behind, excellent finishers and top-notch positioning.
00:50Johnson would be a seamless tactical fit and, aged just 24,
00:53could represent good value if Spurs are willing to sell for around the £30m mark.
00:58This is a man who got 25 goal contributions to Spurs last season.
01:02And whilst he has holes in his game, Glasner's system would perfectly cover them.
01:07But my pick, a name that's been floating around this week, is Oscar Bob.
01:11And what a signing that would be.
01:13More a Lise than Sarr, Bob would solve arguably Palace's biggest problem right now,
01:18which is breaking down low blocks.
01:20He's young, he's hungry, he's immensely talented, and Man City are reportedly open to bids.
01:26It would be ambitious, but now is the time for Palace to be exactly that.
01:31January is a big month for the Eagles, both on and off the pitch.
01:35Let's see how they fare.
