00:00Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has extended its session until December 29th to allow for the ratification of the proposed 2026 national budget.
00:10This move, according to House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, is essential to ensure the continuity of government operations and the faithful implementation of the national budget for the next fiscal year.
00:22Prior to the holiday break, lawmakers also approved several key measures on the third and final reading.
00:28These include House Bill 67-89, which establishes the Department of Water Resources and Water Regulatory Commission.
00:37Also passed was House Bill No. 22, known as the Sana'a All My Internet Act, aiming to deliver more affordable and reliable internet services across the country.
00:47And House Bill 67-07, which promotes anti-corruption mechanisms within the banking sector.
00:54Reflecting on the year, House Speaker Faustina Bojedi III said that despite the challenges, the House has stood for what's right, for justice, and for the welfare of Filipino people.
