00:00Thousands of new U.S. Army recruits have begun returning home in time for some Christmas cheer.
00:07The trainees arrived at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Friday
00:13and were given gift bags before their flights out.
00:16We have upwards of 9,000 basic trainees that are in some stage of their initial entry training into the Army
00:22that are going to get to go home for Christmas.
00:24So all training at Fort Benning pauses for the holiday season and we, in a very deliberate manner,
00:31get them all onto buses up to the airport and to their flights in an orderly and efficient manner.
00:39When I get home originally, I can't wait to see my dog.
00:42That's what I'm most excited for.
00:43But I'm probably going to go see my grandparents and see how they're doing
00:46because I haven't talked to them in so long and I know they're missing me too.
00:49The training soldiers are based in the U.S. Army Fort Benning outside Columbus, Georgia.
