00:00My name is Jill Hobbs. During the week, I am the secretary to our general manager here at the Buccaneers.
00:12Weekends, I do the message board.
00:14Oops!
00:17Jesus Christ, what happened to the line? Oh, no!
00:22Jill Hobbs started with the organization in 1976.
00:25Jill was amazing. The epicenter of the culture.
00:30She's the heartbeat of this organization. She loved this organization.
00:34Zach!
00:36She was like one of the guys.
00:39Hey, Ricky. All righty!
00:42In 1976, there weren't a lot of women in sports, and the positions that they held were few.
00:47But Jill Hobbs just rolled up her sleeves, and she embraced this organization, and she brought it to life.
00:55When I got to the Buccaneers, Jill Hobbs did just about everything.
00:59She almost ran this place. She helped the scouting department. She was Ron Rose's number one person.
01:04She knew players as well as anybody else. And better than that, she was a winner.
01:09Back in the heyday, she ran the scoreboard.
01:11Yeah, I saw you throwing down!
01:14No!
01:14She would take no shit and just get the job done.
01:19Oh, bump your head and hit it.
01:22Whenever you want to know anything about history, you went to her, because she saw it all firsthand.
01:26We didn't have the big waiting room, so the waits were like on the patio.
01:29Every morning, I'd be out there working out.
01:33Jill come out, have a cigarette.
01:34I'd give her a hard time about her smoking a cigarette while I'm trying to work out.
01:39She'd get fired up, tail me off, or cuss me out.
01:45Most of all, Jill was a friend.
01:47Jill is the type of person to just call you and let you know you're loved.
01:51When Jill died, it happened fast.
01:54You heard the news that she had cancer.
01:5730 days over, it was over. Like, it was that fast.
02:01At the end of the day, before she passed, we were getting ready to go to the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers.
02:10All right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right!
02:12And I called her to check on her, and she put it the only way that Jill Hobbs could put it.
02:17She said, what the hell are you doing? Stop talking to me. Go beat the fucking Packers.
02:23This is only the fourth time in franchise history that the Bucs have made it to the NFC Championship game.
02:36You'd love to be the first team ever to host a Super Bowl.
02:39Getting ready to go to Green Bay and play, they're hanging all the Super Bowl banners on our stadium.
02:44Every way to get to our facility was Super Bowl, Super Bowl, Super Bowl.
02:50The first team meeting, I said, look, fellas, if you're reading them banners, we're getting our ass kicked in Green Bay.
02:56Them banners ain't got shit to do with us until we go win this game.
03:01Our last win at Lambeau, we've got to go back to 2005.
03:05It just doesn't get any better than Aaron Rodgers taking on Tom Brady.
03:12We knocked off future Hall of Famer Drew Brees, and now we've got to go play another future Hall of Famer in Aaron Rodgers.
03:19Both these quarterbacks are playing the best that they have all season long.
03:22In fact, both teams have really hit their stride down the stretch.
03:25And for the Tampa Bay defense, they get Vida Veya back coming off that broken ankle that he suffered in Week 5.
03:35I mean, a devastating blow.
03:36I broke my tibia, and I tore my deltoid ligament in my ankle.
03:43Vida and I were building a bond.
03:45I've always wanted a little brother, and he was filling that void for me.
03:50I really looked up to Sue, and I believed everything he said.
03:52And Sue looks at me, and he's like, you know you're going to make it back to the playoffs.
03:55Which is crazy, because this type of injury that I had, not everybody makes it back.
03:59From then on, I'm going to make it back.
04:01I'm going to make it back.
04:02This is for the Super Bowl.
04:09I'm on it all.
04:10We want to go play at home next week.
04:12And away we go.
04:19Brady throws, end zone.
04:21He's got Evans for the touchdown.
04:24And the early points for the Buccaneers here on the road.
04:27Easy work.
04:28Easy work.
04:29Great drive for Tampa.
04:31Third down coming up.
04:3219.
04:3219.
04:3319.
04:3319.
04:3419.
04:3419.
04:3419.
04:3519.
04:36Here comes Vita out onto the field.
04:44It was such an emotional boost.
04:46You're getting one of your guys back.
04:48You're getting one of your studs back.
04:50Big Vita Veya over the ball for Tampa Bay.
04:52Vita Veya's in the ballgame for the first time since early October.
04:55I don't think Green Bay was ready for Vita.
04:58I don't think they knew that Vita was going to be able to come back.
05:01First of all, he requires a double team, if not a triple team.
05:05So somebody's always freed up when Vita's in there.
05:08Shaq Barrett comes off the edge.
05:09He's sacked.
05:10Just his presence alone with JPP and Shaq and Domkinsu up front.
05:15Having Vita, it just fired everybody up.
05:20Vita Veya exploded.
05:22For the Packers, they're going to have to slow down this pass rush.
05:25He's sacked by Shaq Barrett again.
05:28He had nowhere to go.
05:29Yeah, I know.
05:29I'm going to go back to last night.
05:31Nowhere to go back to last night.
05:32Third down and nine.
05:35Brady slides.
05:36He's going for Godwin downfield.
05:39And a juggle and a catch.
05:4152 yards to Godwin.
05:43I think there are certain guys that rise to the occasion in the big moments, and Lenny
05:49threw to all of us.
05:50That's what he was all about.
05:51Four net stutter still.
05:53Playoff Lenny stepped it up to a whole nother level than the playoff.
05:57Playoff Lenny.
05:58If you don't tackle playoff Lenny for negative one yard, he's going to get at least six or
06:02seven on it.
06:02In the pass game and run game, Lenny just came through in the situations he needed to
06:06come through.
06:08What a move.
06:09They're spent.
06:10To the five.
06:10Three, two, one.
06:11Touchdown.
06:12Touchdown, Tampa Bay.
06:13Leonard Fournette.
06:14That was a big stop.
06:15That was a big stop.
06:16Hey, that little run.
06:17Go get to another one.
06:18Playoff Lenny.
06:19A couple of guys, when they had their numbers called, showed up in the right way.
06:23Here's a pick by Murphy Bunting.
06:29That's his third in this postseason.
06:32I got my head around that bitch right there.
06:35You know, you talk about the greatest plays in Bucs history.
06:38Of course, you immediately go to the Buccaneers' 2002 season.
06:43That's intercepted.
06:45You immediately go to Ronnie Barber's 92-yard interception return in the NFC Championship.
06:49The second greatest play, in my mind, happened in an NFC Championship game at Green Bay.
06:55The end of the first half.
06:57And they've got it at the 39-yard line with about eight seconds left.
07:01I hollered punt.
07:02And then I think, what's the worst thing that could happen?
07:06Aaron Rodgers hits a pass, they kick a field goal.
07:08We're still winning.
07:10Let's go for this.
07:12Let's no risk it, no biscuit.
07:14Those aren't just words for Bruce.
07:16He lives no risk it, no biscuit.
07:17It goes back to a poem one of my high school coaches put in my playbook,
07:22no great thing is ever going to happen by happenstance.
07:26You can't hit a home run if you don't swing for the fence.
07:30You can't hit that par five if you don't swing that ball over the water.
07:34I heard the play call come in.
07:36Tom kind of looks at me and goes, what?
07:38It was double go, me and Scotty.
07:40Scotty Miller was a six-round draft pick.
07:43Very, very fast.
07:44And that was his role with our football team.
07:47All right, let's give it a look.
07:48No risk it, no biscuit.
07:51With eight seconds on the clock, you cannot give up the big play.
07:55I kind of looked down the middle of the field a little bit.
07:58Looked over, saw Scotty running.
08:02Brady goes for the deep shot.
08:05And I remember kind of like looking up, trying to find the ball.
08:10And I just see Scotty like falling in the end zone with it.
08:13Touchdown!
08:15Scotty Miller!
08:16Oh my God!
08:18What is happening?
08:19Holy shit!
08:21Scotty Miller got behind the defense.
08:24You already know!
08:25You already know!
08:26There you go!
08:27It's a couple times, huh?
08:28I remember I was in on this play.
08:31I was there for max protection for Tom.
08:33I missed the block.
08:35He was about to get to Tom.
08:36Leonard Fournette was right there to scoop him up.
08:39And he blocked him out.
08:41Leonard saved the day.
08:43Oh, nice job.
08:43They put you in the zone on that.
08:44Yeah.
08:45Way to see it.
08:46They were all fucked up.
08:47So thank you, Leonard.
08:49Me like that!
08:50And we built like that!
08:51Like that!
08:54They start the second half to Todd Bowles.
08:56They're not taking their foot off the gas.
09:01And that's a fumble.
09:03Picked up by Devin White.
09:06White is inside the 10.
09:11Touchdown Brate.
09:14That's y'all's touchdown.
09:16Second and 10, Tampa Bay.
09:17It was the third quarter.
09:18We got blitzed.
09:20And I kind of panicked through the ball with my back foot.
09:23Pass.
09:23And it's passed.
09:24Their defense got three interceptions in the second half.
09:28And that was a brutal way for me to play.
09:30Rodgers slings it.
09:32Passes.
09:32Touchdown, Tanya.
09:35Aaron gets hot.
09:36Gotta fucking hold it!
09:37Aaron gets hotter.
09:39Now there's third and goal.
09:40Extra men on the rest.
09:41Pass caught.
09:42Touchdown.
09:42Let's go!
09:45Let's go!
09:46We don't have time to feel sorry for those.
09:47Let's go!
09:48Let's go!
09:49They've got the ball.
09:51And I'm getting nervous.
09:52End of the game.
09:54Aaron Rodgers.
09:55It looks like Aaron could have probably run the ball.
09:57Throws the ball incomplete at the goal line.
10:03Kick it.
10:04So they decide to kick the field goal, which was very controversial.
10:09Crosby makes this a five-point game again.
10:13I'm really surprised by that decision, Joe.
10:15I thought that they would go for it on fourth down.
10:19Now, our job is to make sure they don't get this ball back.
10:23As good as this shit!
10:25The Buccaneers are 48 seconds away from Super Bowl 55.
10:31I said to my offense coordinator, Byron, it's time for the crack sweep.
10:35He said, Coach, I already got it called.
10:36Let's roll.
10:37Toss to Godwin.
10:39I feel like I see where the first down marker would be on TV.
10:44And, like, everything's moving in slow motion.
10:47I was, I think, six years old.
10:50My first youth football team was named the Buccaneers.
10:53Like, that was the very first team that I was a fan of.
10:55And as soon as I cross the first down marker, I slide.
10:59And everything speeds up again.
11:00He's got the first down, and this game's over.
11:04The Buccaneers are going to Super Bowl 55.
11:08It's now home.
11:09Well, I don't care about no rules at times.
11:12Way to go.
11:12Nice job.
11:13Super Bowl 55 in Tampa, Florida.
11:18And I'm, like, ecstatic.
11:21I'm crying on the field.
11:23To win three playoff games on the road, it was incredible.
11:26Let's go.
11:27One more.
11:28We're at home.
11:28I know.
11:29We're at home.
11:29I know.
11:30Let's go.
11:31We're at home, baby.
11:32That was one of the greatest wins of my entire career.
11:36Shot!
11:36Can I say hi to my son?
11:40How about that?
11:42Get y'all.
11:42You want to throw the Super Bowl, baby?
11:44What do you think?
11:45I love you, man.
11:46I'm just running to the locker room.
11:48I'm happy.
11:49And they go, no, no.
11:50You've got to come back out.
11:51We have the Hall of Stroke presentation.
11:53Tampa, we're coming home!
11:57I don't give a shit about that.
11:58I just want to get on this bus and go home.
12:00Defense came up huge, and we're going to need it again in a couple weeks.
12:04And whatever thought, you know, a home Super Bowl for us, but we did it.
12:10I've only done this ten fucking times.
12:12It's a little different this year.
12:13Yeah, I'd say so.
12:16It's fucking beautiful, bro.
12:17How about that?
12:18The Berkeley boys.
12:19The Berkeley boys.
12:20The Berkeley boys.
12:21I remember seeing a tweet that the Buccaneers put out saying to the fans, it's COVID.
12:41You know, we've still got all these restrictions.
12:44Don't show up.
12:47Plane doors open, and it's just a circus.
12:51Super Bowl!
12:52Super Bowl!
12:53Super Bowl!
12:55Super Bowl!
12:56Fans came out to welcome the NFC champs home, and Mayor Jane Castor even got in on the action.
13:01This is for the community, for all those Bucs fans that have been there from the beginning,
13:06that never, ever lost faith.
13:09This is unbelievable.
13:10Unbelievable moment.
13:11We did it.
13:12We're here at home with the Super Bowl.
13:1455 years of Super Bowls, and it's the first time ever that a team plays a home game in their home stadium.
13:20It's going to be total domination!
13:23The Super Bowl is in our home stadium, and it was something that we were gunning for all year
13:26and for it to finally happen.
13:29It was just surreal.
13:32Super Bowl Sunday coming up, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes says that, well,
13:37the Chiefs can adopt is just about anything the Buccaneers can throw at them.
13:40I just remember the vibe they had that week, and recognizing that, you know, Todd Bowles
13:45had learned something about the Kansas City Chiefs when they played them earlier that year.
13:50We played Kansas City, and we knew Tyreek Hill was fast.
13:53We didn't know how fast.
13:54You want a deep ball?
13:55Here it is.
13:56Toop!
13:57Hill!
13:58For the touchdown!
14:00Down the field.
14:01Who else?
14:01Hill!
14:02We realized we can't play man.
14:03We got to go zone, and we went to kind of a shell coverage and kind of changed some things
14:07up in the start of the second quarter, and it ended up being a close ball game.
14:11But right after that game, I said, if I ever play these guys again, I know exactly what
14:16I would do.
14:16It was really the location of where Tyreek Hill was going to be, where Kelsey was going
14:22to be, and where McCole Hardman was going to be, whether it was three by one or two by
14:26two.
14:27They had telltale signs of what they would and wouldn't run.
14:33When I presented it, usually there's a lot of feedback going back and forth with all the
14:38coaches, and nobody said a word.
14:40I said, either I'm very crazy, or this is going to work out great for us.
14:46The defensive play of the night came when the Blitzing All-America, Todd Bowles, hit
14:51the quarterback.
14:53Todd was captain for me at Temple back in 86, when I was the head coach there.
14:57I would have never thought from Broad Street in Philadelphia in 1986 to 2020 that Todd and
15:04I would be in a Super Bowl together, but I knew one thing I had the best guy going that
15:07could possibly be to shut down the Kansas City Chiefs.
15:10Get a little more fucking physical with these guys and fucking rerattle them and put them
15:14in their fucking place.
15:14I was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
15:18I grew up in downtown projects called 26A Pioneer Homes, and I fell in love with football
15:25at a very young age.
15:27There wasn't much else to do down there but play football or do drugs or gamble, so football
15:32was a big outlet for me.
15:33I was a big Richard Woods fan because he's from my hometown and we went to the same high
15:39school, so I kind of followed him from that standpoint, so it was really huge for us to
15:44see Richard Woods doing that, and I kind of caught on the Doug by watching Richard, and
15:50Doug is the sole responsibility.
15:52I'm sitting here in coaching today.
15:53I gave his first coaching job at Mo House College.
15:58I begged him to come and be my defensive coordinator.
16:00And Doug was just finishing up in the USFL.
16:09He came in 86 as well.
16:11We lived about a mile and a half down the street from each other, and we would go against each
16:15other and practice every day, and we developed a very close relationship there.
16:20Years later, Doug was a scout for Jacksonville, I was a scout for Green Bay, but we both had
16:25the East Coast, so I ran into him every week.
16:27So, he asked me, he said he was going to get the head job at Mo House, and he asked me
16:31to be his defensive coordinator.
16:32I asked him why me, he can get anybody he wants, he said no, he wanted me, he watched me in
16:36practice every day, so I was the guy for the job, so I got the job with Doug at Mo House
16:42College.
16:43Then he went to follow me to Gramblin, he was, for a year at Gramblin, he was my defensive
16:47coordinator, and I look at him now, doing one heck of a job here in Tampa.
16:57Are you ready yet?
16:58Here we are, kick off a second away.
17:01This is a matchup that we're going to be talking about, I think, for a long time.
17:04The most surreal moment for me came thinking about my dad.
17:08He passed away the year before, and we always had talked about if I could become a general
17:12manager and go to a Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl, and those were my dreams, and he
17:18always talked about those things with me.
17:19So I'm sitting on the bench, I was texting with some family members, had my head down, and
17:26all of a sudden I look up, and Brady's standing right in front of me.
17:30Gave me a wink, and he said, this is going to be a great day, Jay.
17:34That moment for me is probably one that I will never forget.
17:38You get to the culmination of the season, the Super Bowl, and you dream of what it's
17:42like to be there.
17:43And here you are, you're about 25 minutes from the game starting, and it's kind of the
17:47last chance to remind everyone what we're playing for.
17:51Brady didn't speak all year, he never said anything pre-game, post-game, he never really
17:56said anything.
17:57He said, guys, I got something to say, and we all huddled around him, and it's like
18:00you could hear a pin drop in there, it was dead silent.
18:03Everyone's eyes were on Tom, oh my gosh, I'm getting, I'm getting juiced up.
18:07And he had that look in his eye, that look that we saw all season, that he's ready to
18:11go to war.
18:12That level of intentionality and excitement for someone who's already done it so many times,
18:19that's contagious.
18:20And it was a simple message.
18:21This is about honor.
18:22Your whole family and yourself will be remembered for how you play today.
18:28To win that game changes not just your life, it changes the life of everybody that's been
18:33associated with you.
18:35To hear that from him just solidified who we are as a team and why we're here.
18:40We could be that Super Bowl 55 championship team, nobody could ever take that away from you.
18:45I felt like he was just saving that speech for the right time, because that was one of
18:50those movie scripts.
18:52It was an unbelievably powerful message.
18:55It was about letting the guys know that honor is what that game's about.
19:02And you're honored, your family's honored, your kids are honored.
19:07And everybody that's made the sacrifice for you, your entire career, to play the game
19:13you love and do what you love, gets to share in the same excitement.
19:18Everybody looked around after like,
19:20Let's go!
19:22Let's fucking go.
19:24Had only two winning seasons of the past decade.
19:28Hadn't won a playoff game since winning the Super Bowl back in 0-2.
19:31This could be one for the ages.
19:33He sent out!
19:36The weight of that game is impossible to ignore.
19:44My legs sort of, like, trembling a little bit.
19:53That stress is real.
19:55Set toe, bro!
19:56We're here, man! We're here!
19:59Let's go!
20:00Let's go, baby!
20:02I remember, specifically, they had on the inner part of their jerseys,
20:13they had back-to-back on there.
20:15They were, like, predicting that they were going to go back-to-back.
20:18And, like, that's kind of disrespectful, right?
20:21From the 45, Brady goes side.
20:26I remember that offense looking so sharp and so under control.
20:33And you just saw that we were well prepared for this game.
20:37Let go to Braves.
20:38Hammered Braves down to about the 24.
20:41We had answers for every blitz.
20:43We had answers for every coverage.
20:45So no matter what they threw at us, our guys were prepared.
20:48And our communication was so good and that built up over the course of the season that, you know, we were firing on all cylinders.
20:57Here's Brady's pass.
20:58It's Gronkowski!
21:00Back again!
21:02The biggest tandem for touchdowns in postseason history.
21:08You could see Coach Bowles on the sideline and the way he was calling plays.
21:13I believe in the plan that we came in and we don't need to change anything.
21:16All you guys need to do is go out there and execute.
21:19Shaq, JPP, all these guys inside.
21:21He has nowhere to go!
21:22Yeah, nowhere.
21:23Nowhere to go!
21:23They gave Mahomes no chance.
21:26You see the pressure that Mahomes is having to throw at the guy in his face.
21:29It was almost like he was running for his life.
21:31Coming after him.
21:32Way back!
21:33That's Shaq.
21:34Barrett.
21:35The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense was serving up body blow after body blow.
21:39And the Chiefs, they aren't able to handle.
21:42My gosh.
21:44That pass rush.
21:45Let's go!
21:48Mahomes.
21:49He is taken down by Shaq Barrett.
21:53The whole season we were building up to something great.
21:55But that game was just a masterful game for us.
21:58We played our best game offensively and defensively.
22:03And we were playing really a perfect game.
22:05First and ten.
22:06Brady from the pocket.
22:09They've got the Kansas City defense on its heels now.
22:12Brady play action.
22:16Looking.
22:17Third option.
22:18End zone.
22:19Caught!
22:21Gronkowski again!
22:22Hover drive, kid.
22:23Hover drive.
22:23Keep attacking.
22:24Keep attacking.
22:25Right before the half, I run a goal ball on Brashad Breeland, left side of the field.
22:3023 seconds to go.
22:32Tom just gives me a chance to run under it, and he clips my feet.
22:35Here's the deep ball for this week.
22:37Oh, and he, did he trip him?
22:41Breeland's gonna be flagged.
22:43Trying to hit Mike Evans.
22:45Let's go!
22:46Tyron Matthews was like chirping Tom all day.
22:48He was saying Tom was old and stuff.
22:50He's like, you can't throw over here.
22:51Just talking shit to him.
22:52And Tom's like, I'm coming after you.
22:53This is where Brady is so dangerous.
22:56You gotta take a shot to the end zone.
22:57No risk it, no biscuit, Jim.
22:59Right now, this play, huge.
23:02Crazy things happen right before the half.
23:04Ball to one.
23:05There's the pass.
23:09And there's the catch for the touchdown.
23:12Antonio Brown.
23:13Just unbelievable route by Antonio Brown.
23:17And again, Brady and Matthew.
23:20Tom's not one to just walk away from good talk.
23:23Tyron Matthews was like whining about it, and Tom went up and got in his face.
23:25That's what I fucking thought.
23:27I was like, whoa.
23:28Brady and Matthew have an exchange.
23:32The frustration is boiling over for Kansas City.
23:35There you go.
23:35There you go.
23:37That's the end of the first half with the score.
23:40Tampa Bay 21, Kansas City 6.
23:43As time goes on, people forget of COVID and the world just coming apart.
23:56You don't even know if you're going to have a season, let alone a Super Bowl.
24:00The sports world just shut down.
24:03We have some new numbers tonight that highlight the hardest-hit areas in Tampa Bay.
24:06That whole season, and I've said this to many people all the time when I sing, I still feel like it was very surreal.
24:15It was COVID, and it was a very weird time.
24:18The first responders during COVID were incredible.
24:23They were risking their lives and doing everything so everybody else in the community could function properly.
24:30And so we thought it was really important to include them at the Super Bowl.
24:36We were limited to 25,000 people at the stadium, but we made sure that those first responders were included as part of that group.
24:44That intensity lent itself to bringing the team together and really one team, one cause to win a Super Bowl.
25:03The Buccaneers, the first team to ever play in the Super Bowl on their home turf.
25:10For Kansas City, it's a tall task.
25:12They can do it, but this is a tall task for the second half.
25:15They're hard to beat at any time.
25:18Before that game, what was the last big game Patrick Mahomes lost?
25:21He's walking out in the second half with the Super Bowl, down 15.
25:24He's not done.
25:28Edwards Allaire, rookie running.
25:30I didn't feel like the game was over.
25:32I'd seen Patrick Mahomes score touchdowns in 17 seconds.
25:37Get Hill out in the open.
25:38Even the throws he was missing, he was barely missing when he was diving and throwing the football.
25:44He can beat you time and time and time and time again, cause you've seen it.
25:48So we had to be relentless.
25:49The only thing I was hesitant about was our coverage on Kelsey.
26:07Kelsey always went off against everybody.
26:09So I'm looking like, man, y'all think that's enough for Kelsey?
26:12I don't need nobody over the top or nothing.
26:13We was one-on-one with Kelsey the whole game, and we was letting the Levante take it.
26:19My assignment in that game was to be on Travis Kelsey.
26:22Try to minimize him as much as I can.
26:24Kelsey goes up and shakes people.
26:26He wins all the time.
26:27But David says, I'm not going to back up.
26:29Most people back up a half a step or with the body weight.
26:32He's hitting him right there.
26:33And it's really affected this offense.
26:35Levante may be the most underrated guy in this modern NFL era.
26:44Nine years overlooked.
26:45No respect by the media.
26:47Can't get elected to the Pro Bowl.
26:49But good God, what he has done for this franchise.
26:51We wanted to play prison ball.
26:53We wanted to go out there and smack him in the face.
26:55I knew if we continued to play that way, they were going to fold and they were going to break.
27:00As an offensive line, that was our mindset.
27:02We're going to go in there, we're going to break them.
27:04We're going to not let them get any shred of confidence.
27:09I think we got into the flow.
27:11We got into the rhythm.
27:12We got into the trust.
27:12And all those days at Berkeley paid off.
27:15All that trust that we developed paid off.
27:18The pressure that we put on people to succeed every day paid off.
27:22And it paid off against the best team that we played all season.
27:26We're going to put the nail in the motherfucker.
27:27Yeah, buddy.
27:31Four net.
27:33Four net.
27:34Four net.
27:36Touchdown.
27:37Yeah.
27:38And watch Mark.
27:39Yeah, I'll be Mark right there.
27:41Yeah.
27:42That big run that Lenny had.
27:43As soon as he hits the corner, he takes off.
27:46That was craziness.
27:48During that very moment, what I was thinking about was sitting in B.A.'s backyard.
27:54Having a drink saying, let's don't cut Lenny.
27:58Wow, what a statement by Tampa.
28:02Mahomes.
28:03Got it away.
28:06Incomplete.
28:07He heaves it.
28:09It's knocked away.
28:10It's on the deflection.
28:11It's intercepted.
28:12It's on the deflection.
28:13Sometimes dreams become nightmares.
28:15Suck-ups.
28:16Kick.
28:18Good.
28:20If you're a Tampa fan, you love this.
28:23See the dejection.
28:25Just a tough day.
28:26Seasons on the line.
28:27They're hanging in there, trying to give this team just one last shot.
28:30Tyreek Hill, that first game, he was backflipping and he would peace on every time.
28:34He would, like, get a touchdown.
28:36You know, as a competitor, you never want somebody to have an insane game like that against you.
28:40But, you know, you just never want that to happen to you.
28:43Now your shooting ball is definitely on the line, Jim.
28:45You don't get this one.
28:46I'm calling it.
28:47Chase throws.
28:50Incomplete.
28:50And Tampa Bay makes another stop.
28:53It was a little out of character for me.
28:55Because, you know, I try to, you know, stay humble.
28:56But, no, that time I just had to do it.
28:59It was just something I felt like I couldn't pass up on the opportunity.
29:02The situation was just too good.
29:04I'm so glad you did that.
29:05Oh, I had to.
29:06It was on the right.
29:10Patrick Mahomes.
29:11He got beat by our defense.
29:13I've watched a lot of football over the years.
29:16Studied it a bunch even more after I retired.
29:19And there's one thing, man.
29:22A great defense can always beat a great offense.
29:25Always.
29:26You know, as a football player, you always dream about going to the Super Bowl.
29:37And having all those dreams come into fruition in that one moment.
29:42Everything we had gone through that entire year, all the struggles, the bad football, the great football.
29:52We worked through all of that to get to this point right here.
30:00It was special.
30:03There's this man.
30:07Mahomes running to his right.
30:10Mahomes directly.
30:10No, throw the end down.
30:11And intercepted.
30:12Picked off in the end zone.
30:14The Bucs are going to beat the Chiefs.
30:15We're the champions of the world.
30:18Yes, I get the Super Bowl, motherfucker.
30:20Holy shit.
30:22Where'd it go, Randy?
30:24What the fuck are you doing?
30:25Unbelievable.
30:26I love you, bro.
30:27Ever since I started coaching, I dreamt about that Gatorade bath.
30:32What it would be like to have a Gatorade bath at the Super Bowl.
30:36How about that time he beat it through all that blue Gatorade on me.
30:41It was the greatest feeling in the world.
30:44The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a second Super Bowl title in franchise history.
30:54Out of the Super Bowl, me and Tom embraced.
30:58I just told him, thank you.
30:59Thank you for coming here and changing our lives in this franchise history.
31:04Thank you so much.
31:05The confetti starts to fly.
31:08And my first thought was trying to find my wife.
31:10Let's go!
31:13My and my wife have been together since we were in high school.
31:16She was like, you want to go out on the confetti?
31:18Like we're kids.
31:20I'm like, yeah, let's do it.
31:21Sam Perry's shower tonight!
31:23All right, he's going to go.
31:32Hey, nobody, leave us!
31:35My wife and my dad came down and, yeah, it's emotional, man.
31:40They see you win the biggest moment.
31:43Like, it's so special.
31:46The first thought that came to my mind was when my dad was, when I saw him, you know,
31:53we just embraced each other.
31:54And that same year, when he passed away, just for him to be able to celebrate with me, that
32:03moment would never leave my memory.
32:05My dad was my biggest support.
32:07He deserved a lot of credit for molding me to who I am today.
32:10We didn't have a car at one point, so he had to ride me on a bike on the handlebars and
32:14went to practice, made the practice on time.
32:16And he just looked back, and he was there for me the whole way.
32:21You put it on already!
32:22When my family came out of the tunnel to congratulate me and give me a hug, seeing the smiles on their
32:28faces probably was one of the happiest moments ever.
32:32There was text messages with me and Doug and how happy he was, and I saw a lot of Doug Williams
32:37jerseys out there, and they gave me a big sense of gratification.
32:40Congratulations.
32:41Congratulations.
32:42Thank you, thank you.
32:42Way to go, man.
32:43There's no drug in the world you can give yourself to make you feel the way you feel
32:48after you win a Super Bowl.
32:50Knowing how hard it is, and to get back there and do it, was a feeling of monumental achievement
32:55and appreciation and the satisfaction and happiness for everybody in Tampa.
33:00Congrats.
33:01You deserve it, man.
33:02Thanks, brother.
33:02People don't realize I got kicked out of high school my senior year, and the look on my dad's
33:08face stuck with me for a very, very long time, that I embarrassed him.
33:12Not that he didn't love me all this time, and my sister always gets pissed off when I tell
33:16the story that I felt that way.
33:19So then when my wife and son and daughter came down, it was the best family hug ever.
33:28During that hug, um, you know, pop, we did it.
33:42You know, we did it is a great three words in sports.
33:48We did it.
33:49And I think I said it probably a million times from the end of that game through the start
33:55of the next season because we did it.
34:00You are the Super Bowl champions.
34:03Joel, to the entire Glazier family, congratulations.
34:08The Vince Lombardi trophy is staying in Tampa Bay.
34:12I remember looking over and seeing Joel and Ed and Brian and Darcy and Kevin and Avi actually
34:22all together in one moment, and they saw me embracing my family.
34:25And I know that they were thinking of their dad the same way that I was thinking of my
34:30dad.
34:30I thought about my father, how he would have enjoyed it.
34:36I thought about everything he had done to help us get to this point, to own this football
34:40team, and that he couldn't be there, yet, you know, he was there in spirit.
34:44And without him, we wouldn't be standing there.
34:47My father would have been very proud of my family, the organization, the players, the city
34:51of Tampa.
34:52He would have been very proud of that moment.
34:53But this is great.
34:54This moment, if you just had this one moment, that's enough for a lifetime.
34:59My father had an expression.
35:02If you want to know the road ahead, ask the person who's been there.
35:06We found that person.
35:08Ten Super Bowl appearances, seven victories.
35:11Tom Brady.
35:12Yes, you did.
35:14I'm so proud of all these guys down here.
35:17I think we knew this was going to happen tonight, didn't we?
35:19World champions forever.
35:21You can't take it away from us.
35:23Having been there before, that was a week where I tried to enjoy the moment, to try to
35:28soak in the moment.
35:29Because it is so hard.
35:31It is so, so hard to not only get to the Super Bowl, but to win it.
35:37It had been 18 years since we had won our last Super Bowl.
35:44That's a full generation ago.
35:46And so, what it meant to the city, what it meant to my family, words can't even describe.
35:52It was just everything.
35:56We appreciate the players who stuck it out during our losing seasons.
36:01People like Mike Evans, Levante David.
36:04They stuck with us when things were bad.
36:06And when things got great, they probably appreciate it more than anybody else.
36:10The lean years, the years when we were going 2 and 14, 5 and 11, that's some tough time.
36:16Got to hear from family members, got to hear from friends, you know, like, man, what's
36:20going on with y'all?
36:20Y'all ain't winning, this and that and that.
36:22How are you doing, man?
36:23Congratulations.
36:23We got you, man.
36:24I got you.
36:25A lot of players wouldn't make it through something like that.
36:28Ready?
36:28Ready?
36:29Ready?
36:29Ready?
36:29Ready?
36:29Ready?
36:30Ready?
36:30Ready?
36:30Ready?
36:31Ready?
36:31Ready?
36:32Ready?
36:32Ready?
36:33Ready?
36:33Ready?
36:34Ready?
36:34Ready?
36:35Ready?
36:35Ready?
36:36Ready?
36:37Ready?
36:37Ready?
36:37Ready?
36:38Ready?
36:39I remember saying to my brothers, what are we doing?
37:00And I don't remember who told me, but boat parade.
37:06Boat parade, what the fuck is a boat parade?
37:24We just thought we were going to go on a boat, we'll see a few fans ride around for like 10-20
37:30minutes and be done.
37:32No, no, no.
37:37We just took the idea of a boat parade and supersized it.
37:39Seemingly, the entire city of Tampa, they were also on the water the entire day.
37:43It's just one big party.
37:45We're trying to get to the beginning of the boat parade and we can't even move.
37:50Then Tom comes down, he's got his own boat.
37:52It's like the party of the Red Sea.
37:53Everybody moves for Tom, right?
37:55We just run, we're the only one at the top.
37:57Here's a reminder to do what anyone forgot.
37:59Our daughter, Zoe, was holding the trophy and I looked at my wife and I said, I think this
38:05is the greatest day of my life.
38:07Besides, of course, you know, the day we got married and the day that we had kids and
38:12then she said, no, this is better than all of that.
38:16We had to pull this whole thing together in 48 hours and then getting the word out in
38:22basically one day.
38:23The result was, you're going crazy.
38:31I have the trophy.
38:33All the tight ends were on one boat and they kept going, hey, throw the trophy.
38:39And after probably eight shots of tequila, I was like, that seems like a good idea.
38:48You ready?
38:49I was getting ready to cock it back.
38:51One, two, we were kind of counting down.
38:54And at the last second, I hear my daughter go, no!
39:01Foo-foo.
39:02Foo-foo.
39:03Foo-foo.
39:04Foo-foo.
39:05Foo-foo.
39:06Next thing you know, I look on my phone, it's Tom throwing the trophy.
39:18I'm like, oh, this is insane.
39:21I couldn't believe it.
39:22My mind was shocked.
39:23And you could definitely tell when he threw that trophy, Tom Brady was a different cat
39:27being down in Tampa.
39:28But I'll tell you what, we was not going to let that damn trophy go to the bottom.
39:32I was ready to dive in in the water just in case it fell.
39:36We thankfully pulled it off.
39:39But without a lot of looking back thinking, what the fuck was I thinking?
39:43You know, when you get a taste of it once, you never think it's coming back.
39:54And then for me, it was kind of a little promise.
39:57We're going to bring you back a winner.
39:58We're going to keep this band together.
40:00All right, we're going for two and we ain't stopping.
40:02I want to be back.
40:04I'd love to be back.
40:06I'd love to do it again.
40:08I created a special bond with all these guys.
40:10Your ass ain't going nowhere.
40:12We deserve this shit.
40:13We worked hard all year.
40:15Your ass ain't going nowhere either.
40:17Yeah, we ain't going no fucking word.
40:20We doing it again.
40:34In your opinion.
40:35Yep.
40:36Who is the greatest buccaneer of all time?
40:37Greatest buccaneer of all time?
40:38I mean, you can't put Tom in it because he was here three years.
40:55This is so hard.
41:01I want to say Levante.
41:03Like, he's a guy that when you are talking to younger players, you want them to play like him, no matter what position.
41:10I think he's a first ballot Hall of Famer in my eyes.
41:14In my opinion, I think he's the greatest buccaneer of all time.
41:18Ronde is great.
41:19Derek is great.
41:20Sap is great.
41:21Doug was great.
41:22But I can only go by what I see.
41:24So I'm going to say Mike Evans.
41:25I'm going to have to go with my guy, Mike Evans.
41:28I have to go Derek Brooks.
41:31But I was going to say, I'm going Mike Evans.
41:38I changed my answer.
41:39I'm going Mike Evans.
41:40Best buccaneer of all time.
41:41Mike Evans, to see what he's done in the course of his career is just something that's crazy.
41:49Constantly been a thousand yard receiver.
41:51He's done it with different quarterbacks almost every other year, regardless of whether it's Ryan Fitzpatrick or whether it's Tom Brady.
42:00He's done it with everybody.
42:02And I don't think anyone can argue that fact for any other player.
42:06Save me.
42:07For myself and for my health like.
42:09Save me.
42:10I've been on my own doing for myself like.
42:13Save me.
42:14From the pain and all the glory.
42:16Save me.
42:17Don't let you be the same old story.
42:20Save me.
42:21Highs and lows, I suppose.
42:23Save me.
42:24The higher you get, the lower it goes.
42:27Save me.
42:28Saving your time, saving your toes.
42:30Save me.
42:31And praying for mine, saving my souls.
42:34Save me.
42:35Lord knows I've been crazy.
42:36Lord knows I've been wasting time.
42:38Now I'm back on my grind to make peace.
42:40Take heat.
42:41Take the league.
42:42No fairytales, no make-believe.
42:44This the time when you make do or take the reins to tame the beast.
42:47Save me.
42:48Don't let you be the same old story.
42:51Save me.
42:52Highs and lows, I suppose.
42:54Save me.
42:55The higher you get, the lower it goes.
42:58Save me.
42:59Save me your time, saving your toes.
43:01Save me.
43:02Save me.
43:03Save me.
43:04Pray from miners, saving my soul.
