00:00:00Growing evidence of an ancient catastrophic event and enduring claims of otherworldly involvement.
00:00:11For nearly two decades, ancient aliens has traveled the globe exploring towering megalithic structures,
00:00:20mysterious artifacts, and stories of otherworldly beings
00:00:25in a quest for evidence that might reveal the truth of our extraterrestrial origins.
00:00:32You know, when we talk about flood stories, we're not talking about just a few.
00:00:35We're talking about over a thousand.
00:00:38Now, we take a look back through the ancient aliens' archives to the show's very origins
00:00:45to examine the evidence that we are not alone.
00:00:50We have never been alone.
00:00:55For me, one of the most interesting stories that we have is the tale of the Great Flood.
00:01:05Because it's not just in the Old Testament, but we find this story in cultures all over the world.
00:01:12And the more you learn about it, the more interesting it gets.
00:01:15And it's not just about a global cataclysm.
00:01:17It involves otherworldly beings who come out of the sky.
00:01:21The whole thing sounds like an extraterrestrial event.
00:01:23Right, and as we gather more evidence, it turns out that this might not just be a mythological tale,
00:01:30but it actually happened.
00:01:32We've pretty much covered every aspect of the flood story on ancient aliens,
00:01:37including some incredible revelations in a season one episode called Closer Encounters.
00:01:43September 2000, the Black Sea, Turkey.
00:01:51Marine archaeologist Robert Ballard and his team of underwater scientists discover what appears to be a farmhouse,
00:01:59some 330 feet below the surface.
00:02:02Estimates suggest the submerged dwelling to be approximately 7,500 years old.
00:02:11Ballard and other scholars speculated that rising ocean levels could have caused the Mediterranean Sea to burst through a natural dam,
00:02:19creating a flood so great, it drowned an estimated 58,000 square miles under 500 feet of water.
00:02:28But more than finding the ruins of an ancient dwelling,
00:02:34had Ballard actually discovered proof that the biblical story of Noah and the Great Flood was true?
00:02:42And those villages, of course, weren't built underwater.
00:02:45So Ballard concluded that the Black Sea, as we know it, was only created some 8,000, 9,000 years ago.
00:02:56And that is exactly what we're talking about with Noah's Ark and the flood, the same area where all that happened.
00:03:04And in fact, mainstream archaeologists know that in the Mediterranean, there are over 200 known sunken cities.
00:03:11Those cities, those cities, too, were somehow flooded the same time that the Black Sea was flooded.
00:03:19Also written in the book of Genesis, the story of Noah tells how God saw that the wickedness of man was great
00:03:26and decided to destroy all of creation.
00:03:32Only Noah, his family, and the animals aboard the ark were allowed to survive and repopulate the planet.
00:03:41But is this the whole story?
00:03:44Was Noah selected only for his virtue?
00:03:48Or was there another reason he was chosen to save the planet?
00:03:54Ancient astronaut theorists believe the Bible doesn't tell the whole story.
00:03:59In the late 1940s and early 1950s, a series of ancient texts known as the Dead Sea Scrolls
00:04:09were discovered in a cave located in what is now Israel's West Bank.
00:04:15Among the ancient writings are various stories not found in the traditional Hebrew Bible.
00:04:22One such story tells of Noah and his strange, miraculous birth.
00:04:26One of the Dead Sea Scrolls is called the Lamech Scroll.
00:04:33What is Lamech?
00:04:34Lamech was a shepherd.
00:04:36And one day, Lamech, his woman, was pregnant.
00:04:40And he said to her, this is impossible.
00:04:42I was not here for months.
00:04:44But his woman, with the name Battenosh, swears.
00:04:47No one touched me.
00:04:49But Lamech doesn't believe his wife Battenosh.
00:04:51And he goes to his father, which was Methusalem.
00:04:55And Methusalem says to Lamech, I can't help you.
00:04:58I don't understand this.
00:04:59I believe your women, Battenosh, that nobody touched her.
00:05:02And I believe you.
00:05:03What should I do?
00:05:04So Methusalem goes to his father, the grandfather now of Lamech.
00:05:08His name is Enoch.
00:05:09Now, Enoch tells to Methusalem that the guardians of the sky have made an artificial insemination
00:05:18into the womb of Battenosh, the wife.
00:05:22And he should accept this child because this child would be the father of a new human generation.
00:05:30And in the Bible, this is Noah.
00:05:32What if, as ancient astronaut theorists believe, the story of Lamech is true,
00:05:40and the guardians of the sky described in the story are, in fact, aliens?
00:05:47Does this mean that Noah was the product of an artificial insemination,
00:05:51a genetic experiment performed by extraterrestrials?
00:05:56If so, what was the reason for the Great Flood?
00:06:02Well, the reason for the Flood, and we need to understand this,
00:06:05it tells us is that Noah was pure in all of his generations.
00:06:08What does that mean?
00:06:09You know, why would the account, you know, specify pure in all his generations?
00:06:15According to the Bible, God sent the Flood because of man's wickedness and corruption.
00:06:21But ancient astronaut theorists believe the Flood was actually a means of ridding the Earth
00:06:27of biological imperfections.
00:06:30By using Noah and his family, they could repopulate the planet with a genetically superior species.
00:06:39Part of this human society is, again, genetically backward, closer to the animal.
00:06:45What can we do?
00:06:47These humans were spread out over the planet.
00:06:49So they said, we have to kill them all by a Great Flood.
00:06:53And then we have to restart again.
00:06:58Another familiar element in the story of Noah
00:07:01involves the collection of animals brought aboard the ark.
00:07:06In the Bible, God commanded Noah to collect two of every kind of living creature,
00:07:13animal, bird, and insect.
00:07:18But many biblical scholars and theologians agree
00:07:21that such a task would have been both physically and biologically impossible.
00:07:26Could there be another, more scientific, explanation?
00:07:32The story of Noah's ark is pretty implausible if you think about it.
00:07:37You have two animals of each creature on planet Earth on a boat.
00:07:46Not only would the boat have to be huge,
00:07:48but how are you going to collect every animal on the planet and put it on that ship?
00:07:53So could it be possible that Noah's ark was once again misunderstood technology
00:08:01and Noah's ark was a DNA bank?
00:08:11Could it be a story?
00:08:12Could it be technology somehow gathering up all living things as in a DNA bank of some kind?
00:08:18It fits together.
00:08:19Hard to imagine how that would happen so far back.
00:08:23But if it did happen, it would need to be told as a story.
00:08:26And the story of a boat works.
00:08:31Perhaps this is really an extraterrestrial DNA bank as well.
00:08:35The extraterrestrials need plants and animals and minerals on this planet too.
00:08:41Just like when we go to Mars or something,
00:08:43we'll be using what we can use on that planet.
00:08:47So extraterrestrials coming here would want to do that as well.
00:08:51And if they knew that some cataclysm was coming,
00:08:54they too would want to preserve certain kinds of animals and plant life
00:08:59and create, you know, what we think of as Noah's ark.
00:09:04Noah's ark wasn't necessarily a boat made out of wood.
00:09:09But what if Noah's ark was some type of a DNA storage facility
00:09:15that was used in order to preserve all the species on planet Earth?
00:09:21If each species can be held in a tiny vial like this,
00:09:28then it all becomes very logical.
00:09:31And once again, we have to look at it from a perspective.
00:09:36What did our ancestors try to describe?
00:09:40What did they witness?
00:09:42Aliens, artificially inseminating humans.
00:09:48Ancient DNA banks.
00:09:50Could such ideas really help our understanding of the Bible?
00:09:55And is it possible that extraterrestrials have influenced the development of mankind,
00:10:03perhaps even orchestrating a great flood to cleanse the Earth of their own creation?
00:10:08There are many who claim that the proof can be found inscribed on clay tablets,
00:10:16left behind by the world's earliest known civilization.
00:10:25Most people know the story of the great flood from the Bible's Old Testament.
00:10:29But what's really fascinating is that a virtually identical story was told centuries earlier
00:10:34by the world's first known civilization, the Sumerians.
00:10:38Right, and what makes the Sumerian version so striking
00:10:41is that in it it is told that multiple gods descended from the sky
00:10:46with a lot of fire and smoke, the Anunnaki.
00:10:49Yeah, and the Anunnaki was supposedly coming from another planet.
00:10:54We talked about this in a 2013 episode called The Anunnaki Connection.
00:10:59Nineveh, Iraq, 1849.
00:11:09A treasure trove of ancient cuneiform texts is uncovered,
00:11:14detailing accounts of the creation of Earth, man, and the lives of the gods.
00:11:20In 1849, Austin Henry Laird made an archaeological expedition to the city of Nineveh,
00:11:30a city that's mentioned in the Bible.
00:11:32And in his excavations, he discovered the Palace of Sennacherib,
00:11:37who's well known from the Bible.
00:11:39This really galvanized the interest of the world.
00:11:41Well, three years after this, his assistant found the palace of his grandson, Ashurbanipal,
00:11:50on the opposite side of the mount.
00:11:52Now, in both cases, they found archives.
00:11:56And together, the archives form about 20,000 to 30,000 tablets.
00:12:00Recorded on seven of the tablets is the Babylonian creation myth called the Enuma Elish.
00:12:13Enuma Elish was probably composed in the 11th century B.C.,
00:12:18but almost certainly, this story goes back to much earlier periods.
00:12:25The tablets tell of a god named Marduk,
00:12:28who took blood from the god Kingu and mixed it with clay
00:12:32in order to create the Earth's first humans.
00:12:37When the Anunnaki create the model man,
00:12:39that person gets picked up as a story in the Bible, and he's called Adam.
00:12:44What I find interesting is that the Bible left out some of the most important details
00:12:48and cut the story short.
00:12:50So the Sumerian tablets, the Mesopotamian tablets,
00:12:52have the more detailed versions.
00:12:58According to ancient astronaut theorists,
00:13:02the Enuma Elish vividly describes not mythic gods,
00:13:07but otherworldly beings,
00:13:09alien visitors who possessed a highly advanced knowledge of genetics.
00:13:14The Anunnaki began to figure out how they could create a docile worker.
00:13:20So they took genes from a female hominid,
00:13:25and after many, many trials,
00:13:27they figured out that they could blend genes together
00:13:30and create the perfect being.
00:13:31In a sense, what these tablets are really talking about
00:13:37is a genetic engineering
00:13:39and the changing of the DNA within human beings.
00:13:46Clearly, something happened where we went from nothing
00:13:51to all of a sudden coming up with the most incredible of thought models.
00:14:00So the question then is, how was it done?
00:14:03And according to the ancient alien theory,
00:14:07our ancestors were given intelligence
00:14:11by a deliberate change of our DNA
00:14:16by space travelers who came here thousands of years ago.
00:14:24Is it possible that the Anunnaki
00:14:27created the human race using their own DNA?
00:14:33According to ancient astronaut theorists,
00:14:36startling evidence can be found
00:14:38in the numerous similarities between the Babylonian myths
00:14:41and the Judeo-Christian Bible,
00:14:43and most notably,
00:14:46in writings from another ancient cuneiform tablet
00:14:49known as the Sumerian King List.
00:14:53The Sumerian King List
00:14:54was found on a tablet in ancient Mesopotamia
00:14:58and dates to somewhere around 2100 B.C.
00:15:02The list contains names of 140 kings.
00:15:08What's most interesting about this list
00:15:10is that the deities have enormously long lives.
00:15:14One king, for example, ruled for 36,000 years.
00:15:19And you have to wonder,
00:15:21how could people have lived that long?
00:15:24But yet we have the same thing in the Bible.
00:15:28Methuselah and Noah lived to be 800 or 900 years old,
00:15:32which seems so fantastic to us.
00:15:34One explanation for why Noah and Methuselah could live so long
00:15:39is that it's possible that they themselves were starseeds
00:15:42or seeded by perhaps the Anunnaki
00:15:45and contained their extraterrestrial genes
00:15:48that prolonged their lives.
00:15:49And so clearly, we can do one of two things.
00:15:54Pretend that this is all myth,
00:15:56that this doesn't exist.
00:15:58Or take what our ancestors gave us at face value,
00:16:02and then we're confronted with the possibility
00:16:04that we are indeed talking about
00:16:06incredible extraterrestrial beings
00:16:09whose lifespan might have been normal for their whereabouts,
00:16:13but definitely were extraordinary for planet Earth.
00:16:21Is it possible that the Sumerian kings
00:16:24lived and ruled for hundreds, even thousands of years?
00:16:29And if so, could these so-called ancient kings
00:16:32have been our extraterrestrial ancestors,
00:16:37alien beings who created man using their own DNA?
00:16:40There are those who believe
00:16:44that question was already answered
00:16:46more than 35 years ago.
00:16:55New York City, 1976.
00:16:59Author and researcher Zechariah Sitchin
00:17:02publishes his book, The Twelfth Planet,
00:17:05introducing his revolutionary interpretation
00:17:09of the Anunnaki deities.
00:17:12After studying Sumerian cuneiform tablets
00:17:14for 30 years,
00:17:16he asserts that these so-called Sumerian gods
00:17:19were, in fact, extraterrestrials
00:17:22that landed on Earth in Mesopotamia
00:17:24more than 450,000 years ago.
00:17:27According to Sitchin's translations,
00:17:33the Anunnaki both created human beings
00:17:36and also had a part in mankind's downfall
00:17:39when a great flood nearly destroyed all life on Earth.
00:17:44But why?
00:17:46What was the purpose of the Anunnaki's earthly visitations?
00:17:51And why did they create the creature known as man?
00:17:55Zechariah Sitchin wrote a number
00:17:58of well-received books on the Anunnaki,
00:18:01which he believed were basically extraterrestrial entities
00:18:04from a planet called Nibiru,
00:18:06which he quite controversially believed
00:18:09actually exists in our solar system.
00:18:12His theory was they upgraded the human race
00:18:16and used them as sort of a slave species.
00:18:19Sitchin understood,
00:18:20based on his interpretation of the tablets,
00:18:22that the mission had to do
00:18:25with the failing atmosphere
00:18:26around the planet Nibiru
00:18:28and that when they came,
00:18:30they came to mine gold.
00:18:32The Anunnaki had damaged their atmosphere
00:18:35and by using gold,
00:18:37they found that they could patch
00:18:38these atmospheric holes
00:18:40becomes the story of our humanity.
00:18:42The Anunnaki literally came to Earth
00:18:44to mine the gold.
00:18:45And when realizing it was such a toil to do so,
00:18:50created us as a worker race
00:18:52to do that form.
00:18:57Zechariah Sitchin's hypothesis
00:18:59that the Anunnaki came to Earth
00:19:01to mine gold
00:19:02and then created humans
00:19:04to perform the task
00:19:05was both bold and controversial.
00:19:08Needless to say,
00:19:11it was not embraced
00:19:12by mainstream scholars.
00:19:15But many ancient astronaut theorists
00:19:17believe that Sitchin's interpretation
00:19:19of the tablets
00:19:20is not only correct,
00:19:22but also provides compelling evidence
00:19:24that the Anunnaki created mankind.
00:19:27What if the whole Anunnaki story
00:19:33is a global story
00:19:35of a non-human intelligence
00:19:36that was manipulating genes
00:19:39all over the planet,
00:19:41that it wasn't just gold,
00:19:43it was a planetary base?
00:19:46Could it be
00:19:47that the Sumerian cuneiform tablets
00:19:50detail a past vastly different
00:19:53from that taught
00:19:54in our history books?
00:19:57One in which the human race
00:19:58was created by entities
00:20:00who traveled here
00:20:01from the stars.
00:20:04Ancient astronaut theorists
00:20:06say yes,
00:20:07and they suggest
00:20:08that some of the most compelling
00:20:10evidence can be found
00:20:11by examining the story
00:20:13of their departure
00:20:15and the onset
00:20:16of a catastrophic flood.
00:20:27Shuripak, south-central Iraq, 1931.
00:20:36While digging at this ancient Sumerian city,
00:20:39archaeologists find what they believe
00:20:41to be sedimentary evidence
00:20:43of flooding
00:20:44from approximately 2900 BC.
00:20:49According to accounts
00:20:50in the Sumerian king list,
00:20:52King Ziyasudra
00:20:53was the last Sumerian ruler
00:20:55before a great flood
00:20:57on earth.
00:21:01Excavations
00:21:02of the great city
00:21:04of Shuripak
00:21:04began in 1931.
00:21:06And it was from
00:21:07these excavations
00:21:08that they began
00:21:09putting together
00:21:10the story
00:21:11of King Ziyasudra.
00:21:14At the city
00:21:15of Shuripak,
00:21:16we find
00:21:16sediment deposits
00:21:18that appear
00:21:20to show
00:21:21a flood
00:21:21that occurred
00:21:22in around 2900 BC.
00:21:27This is one link
00:21:29that shows
00:21:30that the biblical flood
00:21:31may in fact
00:21:32be genuine
00:21:32and a way
00:21:33in which we can
00:21:34ultimately prove
00:21:35that to be true.
00:21:39Many ancient cultures
00:21:40have a story
00:21:40of the flood,
00:21:41which is intriguing.
00:21:44The fact
00:21:45that the Mesopotamians
00:21:46had a story
00:21:46of a flood
00:21:47is not surprising.
00:21:48because Mesopotamian history
00:21:50is fraught
00:21:52with stories
00:21:52of trying to contain
00:21:53the Tigris
00:21:54and Euphrates
00:21:55and make them usable
00:21:56for agriculture.
00:21:58Until they built
00:21:59the canal system,
00:22:00there were regular floods
00:22:00that wiped out cities.
00:22:04It appears
00:22:04that the story
00:22:05of Noah's Ark
00:22:06may not be
00:22:06an original Hebrew story.
00:22:08In the Sumerian text,
00:22:09we find a much older story
00:22:11of Ziyasudra,
00:22:12who also survived
00:22:13the flood,
00:22:14who constructed
00:22:15an ark
00:22:16and was able
00:22:16to save
00:22:17part of his family
00:22:18as well.
00:22:19Is this merely coincidence,
00:22:20or does it suggest
00:22:21that in fact
00:22:22the biblical tale
00:22:23is based upon
00:22:24the Sumerian original?
00:22:28The similarities
00:22:30have caused many
00:22:31to suggest that
00:22:32perhaps the biblical account
00:22:34is drawn
00:22:34in some sense
00:22:35from the Mesopotamian account.
00:22:38My feeling is that
00:22:41most certainly
00:22:42the biblical writers
00:22:43adapted it
00:22:44for their own
00:22:45theological reasons.
00:22:47In the biblical account,
00:22:49the rationale
00:22:49for the flood
00:22:50is human sinfulness.
00:22:53And so,
00:22:54what the biblical writer
00:22:55has done
00:22:55is used
00:22:57the flood account
00:22:58in order to provide
00:22:59a theological rationale
00:23:00for why the flood
00:23:02took place.
00:23:03according to ancient
00:23:07Sumerian legend,
00:23:09the great flood
00:23:09was not a natural event,
00:23:11but was directed
00:23:12by the god Enlil,
00:23:14who had grown tired
00:23:15of the noise
00:23:15of humans.
00:23:16The Anunnaki
00:23:21who came to Earth
00:23:22essentially had
00:23:24two leaders,
00:23:25Enlil,
00:23:25who was the legal,
00:23:27legitimate son
00:23:28of Anu,
00:23:29the king
00:23:29on the planet Nibiru,
00:23:31and his half-brother,
00:23:32Enki,
00:23:32who was actually
00:23:33the firstborn.
00:23:35They were in charge
00:23:36of the Earth contingent.
00:23:40Procreation
00:23:40was out of control,
00:23:42and Enlil
00:23:43gets enraged.
00:23:45He decides
00:23:45he's going to
00:23:46eliminate
00:23:47all the humans
00:23:48and created
00:23:48what we know
00:23:49as Noah's Flood.
00:23:53Enlil
00:23:53thought
00:23:54that humans
00:23:55should be erased.
00:23:57They were
00:23:57too troublesome,
00:23:58and Enki,
00:24:00like Prometheus
00:24:00in the Greeks,
00:24:01took the side
00:24:02of the humans
00:24:03and said,
00:24:04no,
00:24:05they should be
00:24:06preserved.
00:24:09According to legend,
00:24:11Enki warned
00:24:12King Ziyasudra
00:24:13to build a boat
00:24:14so that he might
00:24:15be saved
00:24:16from the Great Flood,
00:24:17just as Noah
00:24:18was directed
00:24:19to build an ark
00:24:20in the stories
00:24:21of the Hebrew Bible.
00:24:23Could both stories
00:24:24have their origins
00:24:25in historical fact?
00:24:26at Ur and other cities,
00:24:31we have evidence
00:24:32of floods,
00:24:33major floods.
00:24:35People have
00:24:35associated this
00:24:36with the story
00:24:37of Noah's Flood,
00:24:39and there are flood
00:24:40stories in other cultures.
00:24:42So I think
00:24:42we have a trend here
00:24:44where over and over
00:24:45people have doubted
00:24:46the myths,
00:24:47have doubted
00:24:48the legends,
00:24:48but in fact,
00:24:49with more research,
00:24:50we find that
00:24:51they have a genuine basis.
00:24:53Could the similarities
00:24:59of these two tales
00:25:00be attributed
00:25:01to mere coincidence?
00:25:03Or might the story
00:25:05of Noah
00:25:05be directly based
00:25:07on the story
00:25:07of a displeased
00:25:08Anunnaki god,
00:25:10a god
00:25:11who was bent
00:25:12on destroying
00:25:12the hybrid creatures
00:25:14that inhabited
00:25:15the earth?
00:25:15Enki,
00:25:18the Anunnaki god,
00:25:19told the Sumerian king,
00:25:22Ziasudra,
00:25:23that there was going
00:25:24to be this flood,
00:25:26the same flood
00:25:27of the Bible,
00:25:28and that he needed
00:25:29to build a craft,
00:25:31we would say today
00:25:32a boat,
00:25:33to escape it.
00:25:35However,
00:25:35it's quite possible
00:25:36that the craft
00:25:37that he made
00:25:37to escape this flood
00:25:39was actually a spaceship,
00:25:41and that he went
00:25:42into space
00:25:43in order to escape
00:25:44the flood,
00:25:44and into orbit
00:25:45around our planet.
00:25:52If there's one thing
00:25:53that unites
00:25:54ancient cultures
00:25:55all across the world,
00:25:56is that pretty much
00:25:57each and every one of them
00:25:58have flood mythologies
00:25:59attached to them.
00:26:01Deluges,
00:26:01great floods,
00:26:02you know,
00:26:02just swamping
00:26:03and covering
00:26:04the entire planet,
00:26:05wiping out
00:26:06whole races of people.
00:26:08In most cultures,
00:26:09this is put down
00:26:10to the work
00:26:10of the gods
00:26:11or a god
00:26:12displeased
00:26:13with the human race.
00:26:14Now,
00:26:16of course,
00:26:17today,
00:26:17you know,
00:26:17many people
00:26:18place that
00:26:19in a UFO context.
00:26:21Other people
00:26:21place it
00:26:22in a religious context.
00:26:24But many researchers
00:26:25sort of view
00:26:26biblical accounts
00:26:27and stories
00:26:28as having
00:26:28a basis in fact,
00:26:30but of extraterrestrial
00:26:31origins.
00:26:32both the Bible
00:26:35and specifically
00:26:36the ancient Sumerian
00:26:37accounts
00:26:38make it clear
00:26:39that the flood
00:26:40was something
00:26:41which the gods
00:26:42created.
00:26:44The gods
00:26:45made this flood
00:26:46happen.
00:26:48And so what we're
00:26:48seeing in the ancient
00:26:49accounts is basically
00:26:50an interaction
00:26:52between the Anunnaki
00:26:53on the one hand
00:26:53and our ancestors
00:26:55on the other hand.
00:26:56The Anunnaki
00:26:57basically make sure
00:26:58that we as a species
00:26:59will survive
00:27:00because sections
00:27:01of the Anunnaki
00:27:02were intent
00:27:03on destroying
00:27:04everything on this planet.
00:27:06Is it possible
00:27:07that the Anunnaki
00:27:09were responsible
00:27:10for causing
00:27:11what has been called
00:27:12the Great Flood?
00:27:13And if so,
00:27:16might it have affected
00:27:17not just the region,
00:27:18but the entire planet?
00:27:22Perhaps evidence
00:27:23of such a worldwide
00:27:24catastrophe
00:27:25can be found
00:27:27preserved
00:27:27in the geological record.
00:27:33You know,
00:27:34when we talk about
00:27:35flood stories
00:27:35and other traditions,
00:27:37we're not talking
00:27:37about just a few.
00:27:39We're talking about
00:27:40over a thousand
00:27:41from other ancient cultures.
00:27:43Now, that to me
00:27:44does not sound
00:27:45like coincidence.
00:27:46No, absolutely not.
00:27:48And most of these
00:27:49ancient cultures
00:27:50around the world
00:27:50supposedly had no contact
00:27:52with each other.
00:27:53And we have evidence
00:27:54of a terrible cataclysm
00:27:56in the distant past.
00:27:58Like the Ucello horizon,
00:27:59this thin ash layer
00:28:01that's found
00:28:01in the Earth
00:28:02all over the world.
00:28:03You know,
00:28:04Andrew Collins examined
00:28:05this for an episode
00:28:05of Ancient Aliens
00:28:06in 2014.
00:28:07It is one of the
00:28:13best-known stories
00:28:14of the Bible.
00:28:16And variations
00:28:17of this ancient tale
00:28:18can be found
00:28:19in cultures
00:28:20throughout the world.
00:28:23From ancient Hindu
00:28:24teachings
00:28:25and Mesopotamian
00:28:26legends
00:28:27to Mesoamerican
00:28:28myths,
00:28:29it is written
00:28:30that the gods
00:28:31sent a powerful flood
00:28:32to wipe out
00:28:33all of humanity.
00:28:34In stories
00:28:39much older
00:28:39than the story
00:28:40of Noah,
00:28:41in the story
00:28:42of Gilgamesh,
00:28:43the council of gods
00:28:45brought the flood.
00:28:48In Plato's writing,
00:28:50Zeus brought the flood.
00:28:52In Hinduism,
00:28:53God had instructed
00:28:54that one day
00:28:55the whole Earth
00:28:56would be flooded.
00:28:57When that happens,
00:28:58you build a boat
00:29:00and you gather
00:29:01the people,
00:29:03some animals,
00:29:03and I will save you.
00:29:10The story
00:29:11of the Great Flood
00:29:12is often considered
00:29:13to be mythological.
00:29:16But similar stories
00:29:17of a cataclysmic flood
00:29:18can be found
00:29:20in approximately
00:29:201,200 different cultures
00:29:22around the world.
00:29:24And many anthropologists
00:29:26say
00:29:26that because
00:29:27these stories
00:29:28are so numerous
00:29:29and date back
00:29:31thousands of years,
00:29:32it is unlikely
00:29:33that they originated
00:29:34from a single source.
00:29:36When we find similar myths
00:29:39all over the world,
00:29:40like the myth
00:29:41of the flood,
00:29:42then we have to ask ourselves,
00:29:44are these things
00:29:45that human beings
00:29:46came up with independently
00:29:48because, let's say,
00:29:50there was a great flood
00:29:51in ancient history
00:29:53that has been memorialized
00:29:55in people's mythologies
00:29:56because it was
00:29:56such a cataclysmic event
00:29:58that people
00:30:00looked for
00:30:01a religious explanation
00:30:03for it.
00:30:05The fact that
00:30:06there are ancient stories
00:30:07that speak of
00:30:08the same flood,
00:30:10it almost
00:30:11leads into
00:30:12that direction
00:30:13that at some point,
00:30:15some cataclysm
00:30:16happened
00:30:16that not just
00:30:17affected
00:30:18one geographic
00:30:19area of the world,
00:30:21but the entire planet.
00:30:23If a cataclysmic flood
00:30:26really did occur,
00:30:28killing most life
00:30:28on the planet,
00:30:30what could have cost it?
00:30:32And is there
00:30:32any physical evidence
00:30:33to suggest
00:30:34that it actually happened?
00:30:37Scientists say
00:30:38answers to both questions
00:30:40may be buried deep
00:30:41beneath the sea.
00:30:46The Indian Ocean
00:30:48According to the five scientists
00:30:52who make up
00:30:52the Holocene
00:30:53Impact Working Group,
00:30:55this area,
00:30:56900 miles southeast
00:30:57of Madagascar,
00:30:59is where an enormous
00:31:00asteroid struck the Earth
00:31:02thousands of years ago.
00:31:05This impact
00:31:06may have been so large
00:31:07that it triggered
00:31:08enormous tsunamis
00:31:10that flooded inland areas
00:31:11across the region,
00:31:13an event
00:31:14the local inhabitants
00:31:15would have perceived
00:31:16as a great flood.
00:31:18Since so many ancient cultures
00:31:20have a flood story
00:31:22or a flood mythology,
00:31:24this is probably based
00:31:25in some sort
00:31:25of real event.
00:31:28And an asteroid
00:31:29landing in the ocean
00:31:30in the right place
00:31:32triggering a tsunami
00:31:33would then lead
00:31:34to one of these
00:31:34major floods.
00:31:36The Holocene Group
00:31:37says evidence
00:31:38for a catastrophic
00:31:39asteroid strike
00:31:40lies in what they believe
00:31:42is an 18-mile-wide crater
00:31:44on the floor
00:31:45of the Indian Ocean
00:31:46just west of the island
00:31:48of Madagascar.
00:31:50Holocene Group scientists
00:31:52believe further evidence
00:31:53supporting their theory
00:31:54also lies
00:31:56in what are called
00:31:57chevrons,
00:31:58ancient deposits
00:31:59of sediment and fossils
00:32:00in both Madagascar
00:32:02and Australia.
00:32:02What was so out of place
00:32:07and unusual
00:32:08about the chevrons
00:32:09was that
00:32:10they weren't
00:32:11land-based debris,
00:32:13but rather
00:32:14it was the kind
00:32:15of debris
00:32:16you get
00:32:16from an ocean,
00:32:17sea bottom.
00:32:18Things like
00:32:19marine animals,
00:32:21marine fossils.
00:32:22They've also found
00:32:24what's really
00:32:24the smoking gun
00:32:26of any asteroid
00:32:27or comet impact
00:32:29and that's
00:32:30microbeads.
00:32:31the only way
00:32:32they're formed
00:32:32is by the extreme
00:32:34heat of an impact
00:32:36melting the rock,
00:32:37the rock being thrown
00:32:39into the air
00:32:39or water
00:32:40and cooling
00:32:41into these nice
00:32:42little spheres.
00:32:48Similar marine fossils
00:32:49have also been found
00:32:51on the other side
00:32:52of the world
00:32:52at the ancient
00:32:54temple complex
00:32:55of Pumapunku
00:32:56in modern-day Bolivia.
00:33:01If the Holocene group's
00:33:02initial findings
00:33:03proved true,
00:33:04they could be
00:33:05definitive evidence
00:33:06that a cosmic strike
00:33:08caused large-scale
00:33:09flooding
00:33:10thousands of years ago.
00:33:13But if an asteroid
00:33:15really was responsible
00:33:16for a worldwide flood,
00:33:19scientists say
00:33:20it would have to have been
00:33:21as large
00:33:22as the one
00:33:23that led to the extinction
00:33:24of the dinosaurs,
00:33:26which measured
00:33:27eight miles wide
00:33:28and struck the earth
00:33:29with a force
00:33:30five billion times
00:33:31more powerful
00:33:32than the bomb
00:33:33dropped
00:33:34on Hiroshima.
00:33:35There are many
00:33:41ancient texts
00:33:42that tell us
00:33:44that there wasn't
00:33:45just a flood,
00:33:47but there was also
00:33:48a conflagration,
00:33:50a period of fire
00:33:51when the earth
00:33:52was bombarded
00:33:53with firestorms,
00:33:55the gods bringing
00:33:55them down,
00:33:56and that this period
00:33:57was then followed
00:33:59by a flood.
00:34:01And it seemed
00:34:02that fragments
00:34:03of this comet
00:34:04vaporized
00:34:05the ice sheets
00:34:06that had been
00:34:07covering large parts
00:34:08of the northern hemisphere
00:34:10for tens of thousands
00:34:12of years,
00:34:13sending all of the water
00:34:14up into the atmosphere,
00:34:17which then rained down,
00:34:19perhaps even for
00:34:1940 days,
00:34:2040 nights,
00:34:21like the Bible tells us.
00:34:27According to those scientists
00:34:29who subscribe
00:34:29to this theory,
00:34:31the fires that might have
00:34:32occurred just before
00:34:33the flood would have
00:34:35left behind an ash layer
00:34:36in the earth
00:34:37all over the world.
00:34:40This distinctive ash layer,
00:34:42which scientists call
00:34:43the Usela horizon,
00:34:44could be the ultimate proof
00:34:46that the great flood
00:34:47really occurred.
00:34:49And researchers believe
00:34:51they may have discovered it.
00:34:57Just outside the small Belgian town
00:35:00of Lammel,
00:35:01author and researcher
00:35:03Andrew Collins
00:35:04follows local archaeologist
00:35:06Ferdi Geerts
00:35:07to the site of a mysterious
00:35:08black layer of soil
00:35:10excavated by a mining company.
00:35:12I can already see a black layer
00:35:17in the soil here.
00:35:19It's about just under
00:35:20a metre down,
00:35:23three to four feet.
00:35:26And are we looking here
00:35:28at the Usela horizon?
00:35:31Is this it?
00:35:32At the end of the ditch,
00:35:33we see a peat layer.
00:35:35Yeah.
00:35:36At the top of the peat layer,
00:35:37there is some charcoal.
00:35:39Right.
00:35:40So can we go down
00:35:41and look at this?
00:35:42Yes.
00:35:45Collins and Geerts
00:35:46get a closer look,
00:35:47which allows them
00:35:48to determine
00:35:49that this dark layer
00:35:50of soil
00:35:51seems to date
00:35:52to the end
00:35:53of the last ice age,
00:35:54about the same time
00:35:55the Usela horizon
00:35:56is supposed to have formed.
00:35:59If we come down
00:36:00from the surface here,
00:36:02which is obviously
00:36:03the modern day,
00:36:04there is this accumulation
00:36:05of sands
00:36:07over a period
00:36:08of around 13,000 years
00:36:11that takes us back
00:36:12to this point here.
00:36:14The black is a layer.
00:36:15Yeah.
00:36:16And the white is sand.
00:36:18We call that
00:36:19a soil horizon.
00:36:20Okay.
00:36:22According to Geerts,
00:36:23this black layer
00:36:24dates back to the time period
00:36:26when a global flood
00:36:28may have devastated Earth.
00:36:30But what is it made of?
00:36:32Collins and Geerts
00:36:33dig into the soil
00:36:34and discover
00:36:36that it is indeed charcoal.
00:36:39This is the Usela horizon.
00:36:42And to Collins,
00:36:43it's confirmation
00:36:43that the catastrophe
00:36:45described in the Bible
00:36:46was real.
00:36:47This is physical evidence
00:36:50of that flood,
00:36:54of that conflagration.
00:36:56This is your absolute evidence
00:36:59that this event took place.
00:37:02This is the evidence
00:37:03of the cataclysm.
00:37:06Could the Usela horizon,
00:37:09a possible impact crater
00:37:10in the Indian Ocean,
00:37:12and sea fossils
00:37:14at Pumapunku
00:37:15all be proof
00:37:16that the ancient story
00:37:18of a great flood
00:37:19is not a myth,
00:37:20but that it is based
00:37:22based on actual events?
00:37:25And if so,
00:37:26could the rest of the story
00:37:28in which God sent a flood
00:37:30to annihilate the human race
00:37:31be true as well?
00:37:34This suggests
00:37:36that a great flood
00:37:37did in fact happen,
00:37:38that it was real.
00:37:41But then it also presents us
00:37:43with an intriguing possibility.
00:37:44It is entirely possible
00:37:47that there is
00:37:49an extraterrestrial origin
00:37:50to this terrible flood.
00:37:57Could it be
00:37:58that the great flood,
00:37:59described in so many ancient texts,
00:38:02really did occur
00:38:03at the end
00:38:03of the last ice age?
00:38:05And if so,
00:38:07could it have been brought on
00:38:08by extraterrestrial beings?
00:38:10Ancient astronaut theorists
00:38:14say yes,
00:38:15and claim that evidence of this
00:38:17can be found at the top
00:38:18of one of the world's
00:38:20most sacred mountains.
00:38:29Laurel, Maryland,
00:38:31October 2014.
00:38:35At Johns Hopkins University,
00:38:37top scientists
00:38:38from all over the world
00:38:40gather for the first
00:38:42international asteroid
00:38:43impact deflection
00:38:44assessment workshop.
00:38:47The focus of this event
00:38:48is to demonstrate
00:38:50the latest technology designed
00:38:52for diverting the course
00:38:53of asteroids
00:38:54headed for a collision
00:38:56with Earth.
00:38:59The proposed method
00:39:01involves launching
00:39:02a spacecraft
00:39:03to collide with the asteroid
00:39:05at a velocity
00:39:06nine times faster
00:39:08than the speed
00:39:09of a bullet
00:39:09fired from an AK-47.
00:39:17If we look at the dinosaurs,
00:39:19for example,
00:39:1965 million years ago,
00:39:21they were wiped out
00:39:23due to the impact
00:39:25of a giant rock
00:39:27that wiped out
00:39:28everything on planet Earth
00:39:30at the time.
00:39:30And so, right now,
00:39:35scientists around the globe
00:39:37are working tirelessly
00:39:39to redirect asteroids
00:39:41from possible collisions
00:39:42with Earth.
00:39:47In addition to using
00:39:49direct impact
00:39:50to knock an asteroid
00:39:51off course,
00:39:52scientists
00:39:53have also looked
00:39:54into the possibility
00:39:55of creating
00:39:56a gravity tractor
00:39:58that could actually
00:39:59manipulate the trajectory
00:40:01of the object.
00:40:03But if we are close
00:40:05to developing
00:40:05this kind of technology
00:40:07today,
00:40:07is it possible
00:40:09that extraterrestrials
00:40:11who visited Earth
00:40:12in the distant past
00:40:13already possess
00:40:14the ability
00:40:15to redirect asteroids?
00:40:18And if so,
00:40:19might they have used
00:40:20this technology
00:40:21not to deflect
00:40:23an asteroid
00:40:23away from Earth,
00:40:24but towards it.
00:40:28We are talking
00:40:30about technology
00:40:31that equals
00:40:33ours today,
00:40:34or as some have said,
00:40:36that it actually
00:40:37surpasses
00:40:38whatever it is
00:40:39that we've achieved
00:40:40so far
00:40:41in our modern age.
00:40:44And so,
00:40:45if we can control
00:40:47the trajectories
00:40:48of asteroids
00:40:49to direct them
00:40:50away from Earth,
00:40:51then it's certainly
00:40:52possible
00:40:53that highly advanced
00:40:54extraterrestrials
00:40:56could have had
00:40:57the technology
00:40:57to direct
00:40:59an asteroid
00:40:59towards Earth.
00:41:02It's interesting
00:41:03how the legends
00:41:03described
00:41:04how the flood came.
00:41:06It is stated
00:41:06that a great meteor
00:41:09or a comet
00:41:10or something
00:41:10was to swing around
00:41:12from behind the sun
00:41:12and as such,
00:41:15rip the oceans
00:41:15out of their bodies.
00:41:19The flood
00:41:20was clearly contrived.
00:41:21that was sent
00:41:23by higher powers
00:41:25to correct things
00:41:27here on Earth.
00:41:30They had an intent
00:41:31and a purpose
00:41:32for experiment Earth
00:41:33which they believe
00:41:34had become corrupted
00:41:35and therefore
00:41:37the flood
00:41:38was sent
00:41:38as an attack
00:41:41and assault
00:41:42upon humanity.
00:41:46If the great flood
00:41:48was a real historical event,
00:41:51could it have been
00:41:51deliberately caused
00:41:52by other worldly beings
00:41:54as ancient astronaut
00:41:56theorists suggest?
00:41:58But if so,
00:41:59why?
00:42:00What might they have been
00:42:01trying to destroy?
00:42:03Mount Hermon, Lebanon, 1869.
00:42:15Exploring the top
00:42:16of this historic
00:42:17mountain range,
00:42:18British archaeologist
00:42:20General Sir Charles Warren
00:42:21discovers the sacred temple
00:42:23of Khosr-Ontar,
00:42:26believed to be
00:42:27the highest place of worship
00:42:28in the biblical world.
00:42:30Sir Charles Warren
00:42:35hiked up to the top
00:42:36of Mount Hermon.
00:42:37The ruins of this temple
00:42:38are there
00:42:38and there he found
00:42:39an ancient stelle
00:42:41and he broke the stelle
00:42:43into two pieces
00:42:44and brought it back
00:42:46to the British Museum.
00:42:49When scholars translated
00:42:51the Greek text,
00:42:52it read,
00:42:53according to the command
00:42:54of the greatest
00:42:55and holy God,
00:42:57those who take an oath
00:42:58proceed from here.
00:43:00The inscription's significance
00:43:02was lost on archaeologists
00:43:04for more than a century
00:43:05until biblical scholar
00:43:07George Nickelsburg
00:43:08connected it
00:43:09to an oath mentioned
00:43:11in the ancient book
00:43:12of Enoch.
00:43:13According to Enoch,
00:43:15Mount Hermon
00:43:16is where a band
00:43:17of renegade angels
00:43:18known as the Watchers
00:43:19descended from the heavens
00:43:21in the distant past
00:43:22and took an oath
00:43:24before meeting with humans.
00:43:25In the time before time,
00:43:29the sons of God
00:43:30came down to earth.
00:43:32They were the shining ones,
00:43:34the Enochim.
00:43:35They're fallen angels
00:43:36and they found the women
00:43:38very attractive
00:43:39and they married the women
00:43:41or bonded with the women.
00:43:43The offspring
00:43:44of these unnatural unions
00:43:46between angels and humans
00:43:48were said to produce
00:43:49giant hybrid beings
00:43:51called the Nephilim.
00:43:53And God was so disgusted
00:43:55by their existence
00:43:56that he decided
00:43:59to send a great flood
00:44:00to cleanse the earth
00:44:01of them.
00:44:02But how is it
00:44:06that human women
00:44:07were able to be
00:44:08impregnated by angels?
00:44:11Could it be,
00:44:12as ancient astronaut
00:44:13theorists suggest,
00:44:15that the book of Enoch
00:44:16is not actually
00:44:17describing angels,
00:44:19but rather
00:44:19a different kind
00:44:21of otherworldly being?
00:44:24You've got to wonder
00:44:25what was really going on here.
00:44:28Are extraterrestrials
00:44:29coming and now
00:44:30breeding
00:44:31with humans,
00:44:32which was somehow
00:44:33forbidden
00:44:34and wrong,
00:44:36but they did it anyway.
00:44:38And so the other
00:44:38extraterrestrials decided
00:44:40this is a big mistake.
00:44:42Now we've got to destroy
00:44:43all these people.
00:44:54Could the story
00:44:55of the Great Flood
00:44:56actually be describing
00:44:58extraterrestrials
00:44:59coming to earth
00:44:59long ago?
00:45:01And interbreeding
00:45:01with human women
00:45:02to create
00:45:03a mutant
00:45:04race of giants?
00:45:06If so,
00:45:07might there be evidence
00:45:08of their time on earth
00:45:09that was capable
00:45:11of surviving
00:45:12a catastrophic flood?
00:45:14Ancient astronaut
00:45:15theorists say yes
00:45:17and claim proof
00:45:18may be found
00:45:19by examining ruins
00:45:21that are believed
00:45:22to date back
00:45:22thousands of years
00:45:24before our earliest
00:45:25known civilizations.
00:45:31Some of the most
00:45:31fascinating evidence
00:45:33we have for the Great Flood
00:45:34comes from the geologist
00:45:36Dr. Robert Schock
00:45:37because he found
00:45:39that the Sphinx
00:45:40in Egypt
00:45:40showed signs
00:45:42of water erosion.
00:45:43Yes,
00:45:43major water erosion.
00:45:45And remember,
00:45:46this is in the Sahara Desert.
00:45:48So that means
00:45:49potentially the Sphinx
00:45:51was built
00:45:51during an earlier
00:45:52climactic period
00:45:53and that was more
00:45:54than 12,000 years ago.
00:45:56Exactly.
00:45:57And that is right
00:45:58around the time
00:45:58when many researchers
00:45:59now believe
00:46:00the Great Flood
00:46:01actually happened.
00:46:04The Giza Plateau.
00:46:07Egypt, 1925.
00:46:12Rising out of the desert sand
00:46:14is a giant stone statue
00:46:16of a human head.
00:46:18For centuries,
00:46:20most visitors to the area
00:46:22believed this was
00:46:23all that existed.
00:46:24But French engineer
00:46:26Emile Berets
00:46:27is convinced
00:46:29that much more lies
00:46:30beneath the surface
00:46:31than even archaeologists
00:46:33are aware of.
00:46:36He begins an excavation
00:46:38to uncover it
00:46:39and after 11 years
00:46:40of extensive digging,
00:46:42Berets unearths
00:46:44a massive body
00:46:45resembling a lion
00:46:46and reintroduces
00:46:47the world
00:46:48to the full splendor
00:46:50of the Great Sphinx.
00:46:54It is the largest
00:46:57monolithic sculpture
00:46:58on Earth.
00:47:01It must have been
00:47:02quite eerie
00:47:03to be there back then
00:47:05not knowing a lot
00:47:07about the ancient
00:47:08Egyptian history
00:47:08and having this huge
00:47:12structure staring down
00:47:14at you.
00:47:14Facing east
00:47:21toward the rising sun,
00:47:23the Great Sphinx
00:47:24is located nearly
00:47:25half a mile
00:47:25from Egypt's
00:47:26three largest pyramids.
00:47:29It is carved
00:47:30from a single piece
00:47:31of limestone bedrock
00:47:33and stands
00:47:34over 60 feet tall
00:47:35and 240 feet long.
00:47:38people have asked
00:47:41themselves for centuries
00:47:43what was the Sphinx for?
00:47:47Why was it built?
00:47:48There is a story
00:47:50behind it
00:47:50but what is the story?
00:47:57The Sphinx
00:47:58is arguably
00:47:59one of the most studied
00:48:00monuments in the world
00:48:01yet it remains
00:48:04one of the most mysterious.
00:48:05There are no inscriptions
00:48:10on the Sphinx
00:48:10to indicate
00:48:11who built it
00:48:12or why
00:48:13but most Egyptologists
00:48:16date it to 2500 B.C.
00:48:21The time of the pharaoh
00:48:23Khafre
00:48:23or Khafrin
00:48:25as he is known
00:48:26by Greek scholars.
00:48:28The dating is based
00:48:29on a mention of Khafre
00:48:30on a tablet found
00:48:31between the paws
00:48:32of the Sphinx.
00:48:35There is something else
00:48:37written on the Sphinx
00:48:38that was ignored
00:48:39by the Egyptologists.
00:48:41The Sphinx actually says
00:48:43I have been here
00:48:45since the first time.
00:48:49Now,
00:48:50the word in ancient Egyptian
00:48:51for first time
00:48:52is Zep Tepi
00:48:54and what they meant
00:48:55by this
00:48:56is the time
00:48:57when Osiris
00:48:58had come
00:48:59at the beginning
00:49:00of the civilization.
00:49:01The Egyptians
00:49:05talk about
00:49:06a golden age.
00:49:08A golden age
00:49:09that existed
00:49:1012,500 or so
00:49:12years ago.
00:49:14This is something
00:49:15that goes back
00:49:16at least 8,000 years
00:49:18before the current
00:49:19accepted chronology
00:49:21of Egypt.
00:49:21At that time
00:49:25the gods
00:49:27mingled
00:49:28or walked
00:49:29with men.
00:49:34Could this
00:49:35extraordinary monument
00:49:36be a remnant
00:49:37from a golden age
00:49:38when extraterrestrials
00:49:40coexisted with humans
00:49:41as ancient
00:49:42astronaut theorists
00:49:43suggest?
00:49:44If so,
00:49:47does the Sphinx
00:49:48date back
00:49:49thousands of years
00:49:50before
00:49:50conventional scholars
00:49:52believe possible?
00:49:54Perhaps further clues
00:49:56of its true age
00:49:57can be found
00:49:58in the geological record
00:49:59of the Giza Plateau.
00:50:07Boston, Massachusetts.
00:50:10Geologist Dr. Robert Schock
00:50:12has studied the geological
00:50:14features of the Sphinx
00:50:15for over 20 years.
00:50:17I looked specifically
00:50:19at the weathering
00:50:20and erosion
00:50:21on the body
00:50:22of the Sphinx
00:50:23on the walls
00:50:24of the Sphinx
00:50:24enclosure.
00:50:25I saw weathering patterns
00:50:26that were not compatible
00:50:27with the Sahara conditions
00:50:29of the last 5,000 years.
00:50:32Here we have
00:50:33a photograph
00:50:34of the Sphinx
00:50:35on the left side.
00:50:38This is the rump
00:50:38of the Sphinx.
00:50:39This is the wall
00:50:40of the Sphinx
00:50:40enclosure.
00:50:41When you look at this,
00:50:42these are the lines
00:50:43of rock
00:50:44or the strata
00:50:45as we say geologically.
00:50:47You can see
00:50:48how they've been
00:50:48weathered out
00:50:49sort of a rounded
00:50:50rolling profile.
00:50:52This is caused
00:50:52by rain beating down
00:50:54and running
00:50:55over the rock.
00:50:56And this was
00:50:57very evident
00:50:58to me
00:50:58as a geologist.
00:50:59according to archaeologists,
00:51:07significant rainfall
00:51:08in the Giza Plateau
00:51:09would date back
00:51:10to before
00:51:113,000 B.C.,
00:51:13at least 500 years
00:51:15before the time
00:51:16attributed
00:51:16to the building
00:51:17of the Sphinx.
00:51:18The degree
00:51:21and level
00:51:22of erosion
00:51:23that we see
00:51:23on the Great Sphinx
00:51:24has to go back
00:51:26to that earlier
00:51:27climatic period
00:51:28and not just
00:51:29a few hundred years,
00:51:30thousands of years
00:51:31before Sahara times.
00:51:33This put us back
00:51:34to at least
00:51:345,000,
00:51:35maybe 7,000,
00:51:368,000,
00:51:37I now suspect
00:51:38even 10,000 B.C.
00:51:40If we are
00:51:42to subscribe
00:51:43to the idea
00:51:44that the Sphinx
00:51:45displays markings
00:51:47of water erosion,
00:51:49then that means
00:51:51that what's staring
00:51:53us in the face
00:51:54is much,
00:51:55much older
00:51:56than what
00:51:57mainstream science
00:51:59proposes.
00:52:03Is the Sphinx
00:52:04really older
00:52:05than our history books
00:52:06have led us
00:52:07to believe?
00:52:08If so,
00:52:09who or what
00:52:11was responsible
00:52:12for its construction?
00:52:14Could it be
00:52:15a colossal creation
00:52:16from a pre-flood
00:52:17civilization?
00:52:19Perhaps further clues
00:52:21can be found
00:52:21by examining
00:52:22the ruins
00:52:23of ancient cities
00:52:24in India
00:52:25that lie
00:52:26beneath the sea.
00:52:32When Dr. Shock
00:52:33proposed that the Sphinx
00:52:35was built around
00:52:3512,000 years ago,
00:52:37all the archaeologists
00:52:38said he was
00:52:39nuts.
00:52:40And only a few years
00:52:41later,
00:52:42they discovered
00:52:42the amazing
00:52:43megalithic site
00:52:44of Gebekli Tepe.
00:52:45And guess what?
00:52:47It has been
00:52:47scientifically dated
00:52:49to around 12,000 years
00:52:50ago.
00:52:51And that blew
00:52:52people's minds.
00:52:53And now we found
00:52:54another site,
00:52:55Ganon Padang,
00:52:55in Indonesia,
00:52:56that's dated
00:52:57to approximately
00:52:58the same time.
00:52:58And we even have
00:53:00entire cities
00:53:02underwater that might
00:53:03be part of a
00:53:04pre-flood civilization.
00:53:05And we covered
00:53:06all this in a
00:53:072014 episode
00:53:08called
00:53:09The Great Flood.
00:53:10The Gulf of Kambad,
00:53:16India, 2001.
00:53:21Scientists working
00:53:22some 25 miles
00:53:23from shore
00:53:24and 125 feet
00:53:26below the surface
00:53:27stumble across
00:53:28something extraordinary,
00:53:30what appears to be
00:53:32the signs
00:53:33of an ancient
00:53:33civilization.
00:53:35Recently,
00:53:36the marine
00:53:37archaeologists
00:53:38of India
00:53:38have discovered
00:53:39two cities
00:53:41in the Bay of Kambad.
00:53:43They are still
00:53:43working on it,
00:53:45you know,
00:53:45going down there
00:53:46and archiving it
00:53:47and taking photographs
00:53:48and videos.
00:53:51They think
00:53:52that these cities
00:53:53were destroyed
00:53:54in a geological change
00:53:56that happened
00:53:57many thousands
00:53:58of years ago.
00:53:59But you have
00:54:00to wonder yourself
00:54:01if there are not
00:54:02more sunken cities
00:54:04all around India,
00:54:06their own legends
00:54:07and myths
00:54:08say exactly that.
00:54:11Ruins found
00:54:12beneath the ocean
00:54:13in the Gulf of Kambad
00:54:15are thought
00:54:16to date back
00:54:17at least 9,000 years
00:54:19to the time
00:54:20when some researchers
00:54:21believe
00:54:22a comet
00:54:23struck the Earth
00:54:24and caused
00:54:27a global deluge.
00:54:32could these
00:54:36submerged cities
00:54:36not only be evidence
00:54:38that the Great Flood
00:54:39really did occur
00:54:40but also
00:54:41that it wiped out
00:54:42an advanced society
00:54:44that existed
00:54:45long before
00:54:46the earliest known
00:54:47human civilization?
00:54:49Scientists say
00:54:50further evidence
00:54:51can be found
00:54:52in archaeological sites
00:54:53around the world
00:54:54that date back
00:54:56to the end
00:54:56of the last ice age.
00:55:00In southeastern Turkey
00:55:02lies Gobekli Tepe
00:55:03an extraordinary series
00:55:05of circular stone structures
00:55:07with intricately carved pillars
00:55:09weighing as much
00:55:10as 50 tons.
00:55:12Radiocarbon dating
00:55:13indicates parts
00:55:15of the complex
00:55:15were built
00:55:16about 10,000 B.C.
00:55:18and at least
00:55:19one archaeologist
00:55:20believes there are signs
00:55:22it may have been destroyed
00:55:23by a flood.
00:55:30We have evidence there
00:55:32of catastrophic destruction
00:55:34of pillars being knocked over
00:55:37at the end
00:55:38of the last ice age
00:55:39that things were very severe
00:55:42people were trying
00:55:42to rebuild it
00:55:43at the time
00:55:44eventually
00:55:45they effectively gave up
00:55:47and cover it over
00:55:48the entire site
00:55:49maybe to come back later
00:55:51to uncover it
00:55:52maybe to simply bury it
00:55:53for posterity.
00:55:57In the rainforests
00:55:59of Indonesia
00:55:59is a series of terraces
00:56:02walls
00:56:03and steps on a hill
00:56:05that the locals call
00:56:06Ganang Padang.
00:56:08When scientists drilled
00:56:10into the earth
00:56:10to determine its age
00:56:12they discovered
00:56:12the site dates back
00:56:14to at least
00:56:149,700 B.C.
00:56:18Very interestingly
00:56:19one of the layers
00:56:21of Ganang Padang
00:56:23that's been exposed
00:56:24seismically
00:56:25shows that
00:56:26there was an entrance
00:56:27to a cave
00:56:28at about
00:56:299,700 or so B.C.
00:56:31that was subsequently
00:56:33covered over.
00:56:37Again, I think
00:56:38this ties in
00:56:39with the events
00:56:39of the end
00:56:40of the last ice age.
00:56:44People were going
00:56:45into caves
00:56:46they had to escape
00:56:47and then things
00:56:49were covered over
00:56:50after that.
00:56:53Are these ruins
00:56:54that are found
00:56:55across the world
00:56:56evidence
00:56:57of an advanced
00:56:58civilization
00:56:59that existed
00:57:00before a global
00:57:01deluge?
00:57:02and if so
00:57:04might we find
00:57:05mention of it
00:57:06in ancient myths?
00:57:09If we go back
00:57:10to ancient Greece
00:57:12one of the myths
00:57:14one of the sacred
00:57:15narratives
00:57:15that Plato preserves
00:57:17is the narrative
00:57:19that there used
00:57:20to be a great
00:57:21continent
00:57:21which he calls
00:57:22Atlantis
00:57:23and Atlantis
00:57:26had a great
00:57:27advanced civilization
00:57:28Atlantis
00:57:32was one
00:57:33of the continents
00:57:33that was destroyed
00:57:35by the great flood
00:57:36when does he date
00:57:39Atlantis
00:57:39to 9600 BC
00:57:41which is very
00:57:42close to the
00:57:43modern date
00:57:44of the end
00:57:45of the last ice age
00:57:46so all this
00:57:48I believe
00:57:48ties together
00:57:49that we had
00:57:50an earlier cycle
00:57:51of civilization
00:57:52it was devastated
00:57:54at the end
00:57:55of the last ice age
00:57:56by natural catastrophes
00:57:57humanity
00:57:58was driven
00:57:59into a dark age
00:58:00that lasted
00:58:02thousands
00:58:02and thousands
00:58:03of years
00:58:03until civilization
00:58:05re-emerged
00:58:06about 5,000 years ago
00:58:08Is it possible
00:58:11that the story
00:58:12of Atlantis
00:58:12is really describing
00:58:14a civilization
00:58:15that existed
00:58:16before 10,000 BC
00:58:17when the great flood
00:58:19and the end
00:58:20of the ice age
00:58:20are said to have happened?
00:58:23Did Atlantis
00:58:24suffer the same fate
00:58:25as Gobekli Tepe
00:58:26Ganong Padong
00:58:28and many other
00:58:30ancient structures
00:58:31that appear
00:58:31to have been hit
00:58:32by some catastrophic event?
00:58:35Ancient astronaut
00:58:36theorists say yes
00:58:38and suggest
00:58:40that the most
00:58:40compelling evidence
00:58:41can be found
00:58:42not with what
00:58:43was destroyed
00:58:44but with what
00:58:46survived
00:58:47Just as fascinating
00:58:53as these sites
00:58:54like Gobekli Tepe
00:58:55and Ganong Padong
00:58:56are these vast
00:58:57underground complexes
00:58:59that have been found
00:58:59like the Washon Grotto
00:59:01in China
00:59:02these incredible stone rooms
00:59:03with pillars
00:59:04and bridges
00:59:04and of course
00:59:06we have Derinkuyu
00:59:07in Turkey
00:59:08where over 5 million
00:59:09square feet
00:59:10of rock
00:59:11were removed
00:59:12to create
00:59:13this underground
00:59:13dwelling space
00:59:14Yeah and it goes
00:59:15without saying
00:59:16that an underground
00:59:17structure
00:59:18might not be
00:59:18the best place
00:59:19to escape a flood
00:59:20but some people
00:59:22have suggested
00:59:22that solar flares
00:59:24and meteor strikes
00:59:25happened as well
00:59:26and so perhaps
00:59:28some of these
00:59:28were shelters
00:59:29for some kind
00:59:31of an aerial threat
00:59:33Central Anatolia
00:59:37Turkey
00:59:38300 miles
00:59:40from the ancient
00:59:41site of Gobekli Tepe
00:59:42December 28th
00:59:452014
00:59:46A local crew
00:59:49excavating
00:59:50for an urban
00:59:51renovation project
00:59:52stumbles across
00:59:53a strange series
00:59:54of carved rooms
00:59:55and tunnels
00:59:56deep underground
00:59:57Upon further exploration
01:00:01they find
01:00:02the subterranean
01:00:03network
01:00:03spans several miles
01:00:05and extends
01:00:06hundreds of feet
01:00:07below the surface
01:00:08of the earth
01:00:09much like
01:00:10the nearby caves
01:00:11of Derinkuyu
01:00:12What they discovered
01:00:15was that
01:00:16these caves
01:00:17extended
01:00:17for a distance
01:00:18of
01:00:19370 feet
01:00:22down
01:00:23into the rock
01:00:24Archaeologists
01:00:29estimate
01:00:29that more than
01:00:305 million square feet
01:00:32of rock
01:00:32the volume
01:00:33of over
01:00:34370 Olympic
01:00:35sized swimming pools
01:00:37was removed
01:00:38to carve out
01:00:39this subterranean
01:00:40city
01:00:40yet there is
01:00:42no evidence
01:00:42of the extracted
01:00:43material
01:00:44in the area
01:00:45This mysterious
01:00:48cave system
01:00:49is still under
01:00:50excavation
01:00:51and closed
01:00:52to the public
01:00:53but in June
01:00:542017
01:00:56author and
01:00:57researcher
01:00:57Andrew Collins
01:00:58was granted
01:00:59access to the site
01:01:01The sheer size
01:01:04of some of these
01:01:04rooms
01:01:05is absolutely
01:01:06amazing
01:01:06I mean this one
01:01:07that we're in now
01:01:08is 120 feet
01:01:09in length
01:01:10and yet
01:01:11it's just one
01:01:12of hundreds
01:01:13of similar rooms
01:01:15that we find
01:01:16inside this
01:01:17great hill
01:01:17These tunnels
01:01:20that you see
01:01:21seem to go
01:01:22on and on
01:01:23and yet
01:01:24what's incredible
01:01:25is that
01:01:26not only were they
01:01:27full of people
01:01:28but there was also
01:01:29livestock down here
01:01:30and we're told
01:01:32that as many
01:01:33as 20,000 people
01:01:36perhaps even as much
01:01:37as 60,000
01:01:38could have lived here
01:01:39at any one time
01:01:40Not only is there
01:01:43evidence that these
01:01:44caves once housed
01:01:46thousands of people
01:01:47but archaeologists
01:01:48have found air vents
01:01:50and water wells
01:01:51that would have made
01:01:52it possible to live
01:01:53underground
01:01:53for years at a time
01:01:55These were cut
01:01:57deeply into the rock
01:01:59sometimes for hundreds
01:02:01of yards
01:02:02in depth
01:02:03and at the base
01:02:04of them
01:02:05were wells
01:02:06that provided water
01:02:08to these underground
01:02:09populations
01:02:10This is what is known
01:02:17as a self-sealing door
01:02:19and they're in fact
01:02:21huge great stone wheels
01:02:23made of a volcanic rock
01:02:25known as basalt
01:02:26and their function
01:02:28was that they would be
01:02:29wheeled into position
01:02:31so that they would lock
01:02:33so that nobody
01:02:34was able to get inside
01:02:37the underground cities
01:02:38When it was discovered
01:02:44historians recovered
01:02:46artifacts
01:02:46that suggest
01:02:48the cave system
01:02:49was used by the
01:02:50early Christians
01:02:51to escape persecution
01:02:52so they dated the site
01:02:54to be approximately
01:02:551,500 years old
01:02:57But based on new evidence
01:03:01the caves might be
01:03:02much older
01:03:03A few years ago
01:03:06I interviewed
01:03:07an archaeologist
01:03:08by the name of
01:03:09Omar Demir
01:03:10and he found within it
01:03:13Paleolithic tools
01:03:14tools that went back
01:03:16at least
01:03:1710,000 to 12,000 years
01:03:19and arguably
01:03:19even earlier still
01:03:21If these caves
01:03:26can be dated
01:03:26to at least
01:03:2712,000 years ago
01:03:28around the same time
01:03:30archaeologists believe
01:03:32the nearby site
01:03:33of Gobekli Tepe
01:03:34was constructed
01:03:34just who built them
01:03:36and what drove
01:03:38the builders
01:03:39underground
01:03:40Ancient astronaut
01:03:43theorists suggest
01:03:45clues can be found
01:03:46not embedded in stone
01:03:48but in the pages
01:03:49of ancient Persian
01:03:51religious texts
01:03:52Zoroastrianism
01:04:00Zoroastrianism
01:04:00is one of the world's
01:04:02oldest monotheistic religions
01:04:04founded by the prophet
01:04:06Zoroaster
01:04:06in ancient Iran
01:04:08approximately
01:04:093,500 years ago
01:04:11The central figure
01:04:14of the religion
01:04:14was a powerful god
01:04:16named Ahura Mazda
01:04:17who is often depicted
01:04:19seated inside
01:04:20a winged disc
01:04:21according to the story
01:04:24recorded in a text
01:04:26known as
01:04:26the Vendidan
01:04:27he sent a powerful warning
01:04:29to a young priest
01:04:30named Yima
01:04:31about a coming cataclysm
01:04:33Ahura Mazda
01:04:36told the great
01:04:37early king Yima
01:04:38that there would be
01:04:39a terrible disaster
01:04:40a giant serpent
01:04:42would descend
01:04:43from the heavens
01:04:44to the earth
01:04:44well that sounds
01:04:46like a comet
01:04:47or a large meteorite
01:04:48falling to earth
01:04:49and a winter
01:04:53would come
01:04:54such as
01:04:55has never been known
01:04:57prior to the event
01:05:00Yima
01:05:01is given
01:05:02very specific instructions
01:05:04to build
01:05:05an underground shelter
01:05:06in order to survive
01:05:08the coming
01:05:08giant freeze
01:05:10Ahura Mazda
01:05:12instructs Yima
01:05:13to build a vara
01:05:15this is a huge structure
01:05:17two miles long
01:05:18two miles wide
01:05:18an underground
01:05:19hall of sorts
01:05:22where things can be
01:05:23protected
01:05:24from the terrible winter
01:05:25Yima was to hide
01:05:29a remnant of the people
01:05:31and an extensive seed bank
01:05:33also a pair
01:05:35of each of the animal species
01:05:37once Yima is finished
01:05:39building the vara
01:05:40he takes 2,000 people
01:05:42in
01:05:43a representation
01:05:44of mankind
01:05:45they are there
01:05:47for 150 years
01:05:49but when the winter
01:05:50is over
01:05:51and they come out
01:05:52it is a barren world
01:05:53they will have to
01:05:54rebuild civilization
01:05:55from scratch
01:05:56the vara is supposed
01:05:59to be a huge
01:06:00enclosure
01:06:01that not only
01:06:03houses
01:06:04a large number
01:06:05of people
01:06:06but also animals
01:06:07and seeds
01:06:08it's a storehouse
01:06:10just like
01:06:11Noah's Ark
01:06:12so you've got
01:06:13this same story
01:06:14and it would seem
01:06:15that this is
01:06:16a very real thing
01:06:17that ancient people
01:06:18knew about
01:06:19and wrote about
01:06:21could it be
01:06:25that the story
01:06:26of Noah's Ark
01:06:26and the vara
01:06:27of Zoroastrianism
01:06:29are one
01:06:30and the same
01:06:31and the reference
01:06:33to an Ark
01:06:34was later misunderstood
01:06:35to be a large ship
01:06:37but if these accounts
01:06:40are in fact true
01:06:42how is it
01:06:43that mankind
01:06:43had enough
01:06:44advanced warning
01:06:45to build
01:06:46such sophisticated
01:06:47places of refuge
01:06:49the ancient texts
01:06:53are very clear
01:06:54that the gods
01:06:56they always
01:06:57warned people
01:06:59that this catastrophe
01:07:00would happen
01:07:01so that they would
01:07:02save a select group
01:07:04of that population
01:07:06so how was that possible
01:07:09well either
01:07:11they had access
01:07:11to sophisticated
01:07:13technologies
01:07:14with which to
01:07:15predict the weather
01:07:16or what's the other option
01:07:18and if you combine
01:07:20that with the fact
01:07:21that Ahura Mazda
01:07:23was known
01:07:24to have descended
01:07:26from the sky
01:07:26in a vehicle
01:07:28with fixed wings
01:07:29it looks like
01:07:30some type
01:07:31of flying device
01:07:32that would suggest
01:07:34that he was in fact
01:07:37an extraterrestrial
01:07:38according to ancient
01:07:42astronaut theorists
01:07:43the vara
01:07:44described in the ancient
01:07:46Zoroastrian texts
01:07:47is strikingly similar
01:07:49to the recently discovered
01:07:50subterranean town
01:07:52in central Anatolia
01:07:53the underground caves
01:07:56in Turkey
01:07:57sound exactly
01:07:58like the vara
01:07:59that was made
01:08:00by Hema
01:08:00in Zoroastrian mythology
01:08:02is it possible
01:08:04that this cave system
01:08:05supplies the evidence
01:08:07that tells us
01:08:07that the Zoroastrian mythology
01:08:09is in fact
01:08:10a real true story
01:08:12if these caves
01:08:15provide evidence
01:08:16that the account
01:08:17recorded in the ancient
01:08:18Zoroastrian texts
01:08:20is factual
01:08:21did the inhabitants
01:08:23of the vara
01:08:23emerge to find
01:08:25a barren wasteland
01:08:26where they were
01:08:27to rebuild
01:08:28civilization
01:08:29ancient astronaut
01:08:32theorists
01:08:33say yes
01:08:34and they suggest
01:08:36a strikingly similar story
01:08:38can be found
01:08:39half a world away
01:08:40in the deserts
01:08:42of North America
01:08:44one of the places
01:08:50where we have stories
01:08:51of a great flood
01:08:51is right here
01:08:53in North America
01:08:53and we have many
01:08:55Native American traditions
01:08:56that also talk
01:08:58about a global
01:08:59cataclysm
01:09:00right
01:09:01the Zuni
01:09:01and the Hopi
01:09:02for example
01:09:02who say
01:09:03they're all
01:09:03the survivors
01:09:04of this massive
01:09:06cataclysmic event
01:09:07and they actually
01:09:08take it one step
01:09:09further in their
01:09:10traditions
01:09:10by saying
01:09:11the survivors
01:09:12received help
01:09:13from the so-called
01:09:14ant people
01:09:15yeah
01:09:16these ant people
01:09:16are described
01:09:17as humanoid figures
01:09:19who dwelled
01:09:19beneath the earth
01:09:20and had high technology
01:09:21so what are we
01:09:22talking about here
01:09:23extraterrestrials
01:09:24who helped humanity
01:09:25survive the great flood
01:09:26Chaco Canyon
01:09:30New Mexico
01:09:31in the desolate
01:09:32high desert
01:09:33of the American
01:09:34Southwest
01:09:35stand the ruins
01:09:36of the most important
01:09:37ceremonial site
01:09:38of the ancient
01:09:39Pueblo people
01:09:40constructed around
01:09:42900 AD
01:09:43the central feature
01:09:45of this vast complex
01:09:46is the great kiva
01:09:48a kiva
01:09:49is basically
01:09:51a Native American
01:09:54version of a church
01:09:55it is a circular
01:09:57structure
01:09:58Chaco Canyon
01:10:00has an absolutely
01:10:02giant one
01:10:03that's located there
01:10:04when you
01:10:06enter one
01:10:07you are literally
01:10:08entering another world
01:10:09to commune
01:10:11with the gods
01:10:12from before
01:10:12in ancient
01:10:15Pueblo culture
01:10:16every
01:10:17place you went
01:10:18had a small
01:10:19kiva
01:10:20of some kind
01:10:20but
01:10:22they would get together
01:10:23maybe
01:10:24eight or nine
01:10:25different kivas
01:10:25small ones
01:10:26into a larger
01:10:28great kiva
01:10:29and
01:10:30the great kivas
01:10:32were huge
01:10:33when the Spanish
01:10:35came in
01:10:36in the
01:10:371600s
01:10:38they took
01:10:39their church
01:10:39and interposed
01:10:41it on top
01:10:41of the kiva
01:10:42so everywhere
01:10:43in these Hopi
01:10:44villages
01:10:45in the Pueblo
01:10:46villages
01:10:46that you see
01:10:48a Catholic church
01:10:49it's usually
01:10:50on the high
01:10:51point of land
01:10:52where the kiva
01:10:53was destroyed
01:10:54and the church
01:10:55was built
01:10:55over the top
01:10:56of it
01:10:57every kiva
01:11:01includes a feature
01:11:01called a cipapu
01:11:03in some kivas
01:11:04the cipapu
01:11:06is a small hole
01:11:07in the subterranean
01:11:08wall
01:11:08in kivas
01:11:10that are enclosed
01:11:11it is often
01:11:12represented
01:11:12by a hole
01:11:13in the roof
01:11:14in both cases
01:11:16it is the most
01:11:17important part
01:11:18of the structure
01:11:19symbolizing the entrance
01:11:20to a subterranean
01:11:22world
01:11:22all of the pueblos
01:11:25share
01:11:26a story
01:11:27in which
01:11:28humankind
01:11:29began under the earth
01:11:30and we slowly
01:11:32over generations
01:11:33crawled up
01:11:34and out of a hole
01:11:35called cipapu
01:11:36and the kivas
01:11:39have this little hole
01:11:40in it
01:11:40symbolizing that
01:11:42the descendants
01:11:44of the ancestral
01:11:45pueblo
01:11:45share the belief
01:11:47that earth
01:11:47was populated
01:11:48three separate times
01:11:50before the era
01:11:51of modern humans
01:11:52with each
01:11:54previous age
01:11:55ending
01:11:55in a devastating
01:11:56cataclysm
01:11:57the pueblo
01:11:59indians believe
01:12:00that there in fact
01:12:01were three worlds
01:12:02or epochs
01:12:03before ours
01:12:03and they were all
01:12:04destroyed
01:12:05first by fire
01:12:07the second by ice
01:12:09and the third
01:12:10by water
01:12:11in each instance
01:12:13they tell us
01:12:14that it was due
01:12:15to mistreatment
01:12:16of the earth
01:12:17and so
01:12:17that tells us
01:12:18that there could
01:12:19have been
01:12:20previous examples
01:12:21of humanity
01:12:22that were destroyed
01:12:23who knows
01:12:24how long ago
01:12:25we're living now
01:12:27in the fourth world
01:12:29and the zunis
01:12:31and hopis
01:12:32believe
01:12:32our fourth world
01:12:33will also end
01:12:35in a cataclysm
01:12:36their prophecy says
01:12:40that there would be
01:12:40a gourd of ashes
01:12:42that would come
01:12:43from the sky
01:12:43that's interpreted
01:12:44as nuclear warfare
01:12:46the hopi
01:12:48suggest that
01:12:49there were
01:12:49previous worlds
01:12:50or civilizations
01:12:51before
01:12:52and this is
01:12:53interesting
01:12:53because
01:12:54there are
01:12:55other cultures
01:12:56ancient cultures
01:12:57around the world
01:12:58who speak
01:12:59of similar stories
01:13:00the kabbalah
01:13:02teaches that
01:13:03there were
01:13:03previous advanced
01:13:04human civilizations
01:13:05a number
01:13:07of them
01:13:07the hindus
01:13:09teach about
01:13:09the yugas
01:13:10where civilization
01:13:12advances to a
01:13:13very high place
01:13:14and then descends
01:13:15and then
01:13:16reascends
01:13:17it too
01:13:18is divided
01:13:19into four
01:13:19different ages
01:13:20so all of these
01:13:22traditions
01:13:22corresponds directly
01:13:23with what the
01:13:24native american
01:13:25tradition
01:13:25is teaching
01:13:26could the
01:13:29native american
01:13:30tradition
01:13:30describing
01:13:31previous ages
01:13:32of humankind
01:13:33be true
01:13:34ancient astronaut
01:13:37theorists
01:13:37say yes
01:13:38and suggest
01:13:39that these stories
01:13:40also contain
01:13:41evidence
01:13:42of extraterrestrial
01:13:43intervention
01:13:44the hopis
01:13:47of northern
01:13:48arizona
01:13:49have a very
01:13:50curious myth
01:13:51of surviving
01:13:52the third
01:13:53of the
01:13:54cataclysms
01:13:55by going underground
01:13:57and living
01:13:57with what they
01:13:58called the
01:13:58ant men
01:13:59the stories
01:14:01the hopi tell
01:14:01is that the
01:14:02ant people
01:14:03rescued them
01:14:04from cataclysm
01:14:05by taking them
01:14:06underground
01:14:07literally
01:14:08and helping
01:14:09the hopi
01:14:10to survive
01:14:11underground
01:14:11and then
01:14:12once it was
01:14:13safe to
01:14:14return to the
01:14:14surface of the
01:14:15earth
01:14:15the hopi
01:14:16were taken up
01:14:17through the
01:14:18sapapu
01:14:18by the ant
01:14:19people
01:14:19and repopulated
01:14:21the earth
01:14:21but in all
01:14:22instances
01:14:23the ant people
01:14:24are described
01:14:24as having a
01:14:25special relationship
01:14:26with the hopi
01:14:27and also
01:14:28of having a
01:14:28connection
01:14:29with the
01:14:29star realms
01:14:30despite their
01:14:32name
01:14:32ant men
01:14:33are described
01:14:34not as insects
01:14:35but rather
01:14:36as small
01:14:36humanoid figures
01:14:38the reason
01:14:39they call
01:14:40these creatures
01:14:40ant men
01:14:41is that they
01:14:42lived under
01:14:43the earth
01:14:43and they
01:14:44would emerge
01:14:45much like
01:14:46ants crawling
01:14:47out of a hive
01:14:47so they called
01:14:48them ant men
01:14:49but what they
01:14:50were
01:14:51were extraterrestrials
01:14:52they were
01:14:53entering
01:14:53our world
01:14:54through the
01:14:55portal
01:14:55the ant men
01:14:58were underground
01:14:59dwellers
01:15:00who had
01:15:00high technology
01:15:01and looked
01:15:02very similar
01:15:03apparently
01:15:04to what we
01:15:04would call
01:15:05gray aliens
01:15:06so this is
01:15:08something of a
01:15:09mystery
01:15:09of who
01:15:10these ant men
01:15:11were
01:15:12many hopis
01:15:14and the zunis
01:15:14have similar
01:15:15belief that
01:15:16yes
01:15:16the ant men
01:15:17were extraterrestrials
01:15:18there were beings
01:15:22that are of
01:15:22the extraterrestrial
01:15:23origin
01:15:24that were
01:15:25were part of
01:15:27that whole
01:15:28emergence
01:15:29mythology
01:15:30the entrance
01:15:31to the fourth
01:15:31world
01:15:32could it be
01:15:35that the story
01:15:36of the ant men
01:15:36is a genuine
01:15:38account of
01:15:39extraterrestrials
01:15:40helping humanity
01:15:40survive a global
01:15:42cataclysm
01:15:43ancient astronaut
01:15:45theorists
01:15:46say yes
01:15:46and suggest
01:15:48further clues
01:15:49can be found
01:15:49by comparing
01:15:51the native
01:15:51american traditions
01:15:52to accounts
01:15:53of a legendary
01:15:54lost continent
01:15:55called
01:15:56atlantis
01:15:57athens greece

01:16:05in his famous
01:16:07dialogues
01:16:08timaeus
01:16:09and critias
01:16:09the greek
01:16:10philosopher
01:16:11plato writes
01:16:12about a lost
01:16:13continent
01:16:13that existed
01:16:149000 years
01:16:15before his time
01:16:17and was home
01:16:18to a highly
01:16:19advanced
01:16:19civilization
01:16:20called atlantis
01:16:23it was founded
01:16:24by the greek
01:16:25god poseidon
01:16:26and the inhabitants
01:16:27possessed
01:16:28sophisticated
01:16:28technology
01:16:29but atlantis
01:16:31was ultimately
01:16:33destroyed
01:16:33by a terrible
01:16:34cataclysm
01:16:35and according
01:16:36to some
01:16:37researchers
01:16:37the story
01:16:38of its destruction
01:16:39is strikingly
01:16:40similar
01:16:41to native
01:16:42american
01:16:42traditions
01:16:43detailing the end
01:16:44of the third
01:16:45world
01:16:45the hopi
01:16:48and other
01:16:49pueblo indians
01:16:50tell us
01:16:50that their
01:16:50devastating
01:16:51cataclysm
01:16:52was due
01:16:53to human
01:16:53greed
01:16:54and wandering
01:16:55away from
01:16:55the spiritual
01:16:56truths
01:16:57of our creator
01:16:58what's interesting
01:16:59about this
01:17:00is that
01:17:00this idea
01:17:01is echoed
01:17:02in plato's
01:17:03story of the
01:17:03destruction
01:17:04of atlantis
01:17:05the atlanteans
01:17:06were also
01:17:07created by gods
01:17:08as soon as
01:17:09humanity
01:17:10wandered off
01:17:10into materialism
01:17:11that's when atlantis
01:17:14was destroyed
01:17:14by water
01:17:15a perfect
01:17:17correspondence
01:17:18with what the
01:17:18hopi said
01:17:19happened at the
01:17:19end of the
01:17:20third world
01:17:20could there be
01:17:22a connection
01:17:23between the
01:17:24ancient greek
01:17:24tale of atlantis
01:17:25and native
01:17:26american
01:17:27origin stories
01:17:28ancient astronaut
01:17:31theorists suggest
01:17:32another story
01:17:33told by early
01:17:34native americans
01:17:35bears striking
01:17:36similarities
01:17:36to atlantis
01:17:37the legend
01:17:39of the lost
01:17:39city
01:17:40of aslan
01:17:41which appears
01:17:42in the traditions
01:17:43of the aztecs
01:17:44and numerous
01:17:45native american
01:17:46groups
01:17:46throughout the
01:17:47southwest
01:17:48this considers
01:17:50the birthplace
01:17:51of civilization
01:17:52based on the
01:17:54machica
01:17:55codices
01:17:56and the oral
01:17:59history
01:18:00of the mohavis
01:18:01of the hopis
01:18:03so we have
01:18:04all these
01:18:05oral histories
01:18:05also
01:18:06that allude
01:18:08to the origin
01:18:10of aslan
01:18:10there's debate
01:18:13among scholars
01:18:14as to exactly
01:18:16what aslan
01:18:17looked like
01:18:18and we know
01:18:20that the
01:18:20aztecs
01:18:22say that
01:18:22their capital
01:18:23of tenochtitlan
01:18:25was made
01:18:27in the image
01:18:28of aslan
01:18:29and from
01:18:30that capital
01:18:31we get a
01:18:33backwards projection
01:18:34that their
01:18:35origin place
01:18:36is a
01:18:37island surrounded
01:18:38by water
01:18:39they actually
01:18:42built
01:18:42tenochtitlan
01:18:43up into
01:18:45the lake
01:18:45and put
01:18:46causeways out
01:18:46so that it
01:18:47looks very much
01:18:48like atlantis
01:18:49according to
01:18:52the aztecs
01:18:53the god
01:18:53Huitzilopochtli
01:18:54was the
01:18:55founder
01:18:56of
01:18:56tenochtitlan
01:18:57which as far
01:18:58as ancient
01:18:59astronaut theorists
01:19:00are concerned
01:19:01provides yet
01:19:02another intriguing
01:19:03connection
01:19:03to plato's
01:19:04description
01:19:05of atlantis
01:19:06tenochtitlan
01:19:08was a place
01:19:09made
01:19:10artificially
01:19:11compared
01:19:12to atlantis
01:19:14in both
01:19:15cases
01:19:16a god
01:19:17was the
01:19:17ruler of it
01:19:18in atlantis
01:19:20we have
01:19:20poseidon
01:19:21now poseidon
01:19:22was an
01:19:22extraterrestrial
01:19:23not everyone
01:19:25should have
01:19:26access to
01:19:26atlantis
01:19:27the same
01:19:29thing
01:19:29in
01:19:30atlan
01:19:31or
01:19:31they wanted
01:19:33to be
01:19:33separated
01:19:34they had
01:19:35a certain
01:19:35technology
01:19:36there
01:19:36which was
01:19:37a hidden
01:19:37technology
01:19:38and
01:19:38it was
01:19:39not
01:19:39for the
01:19:40general
01:19:40public
01:19:41it's
01:19:41the same
01:19:42thing
01:19:42the fact
01:19:43that we
01:19:44have
01:19:44stories
01:19:45that are
01:19:45not
01:19:45just
01:19:45similar
01:19:46but
01:19:46identical
01:19:47leads me
01:19:48to think
01:19:48that perhaps
01:19:50these ancient
01:19:51cultures
01:19:52were visited
01:19:52by the
01:19:53same
01:19:53extraterrestrials
01:19:54while
01:19:57mainstream
01:19:58academics
01:19:59consider the
01:20:00stories of
01:20:00these lost
01:20:01civilizations
01:20:02and their
01:20:03destruction
01:20:03to be
01:20:04mythological
01:20:05the recent
01:20:06discovery
01:20:07of vast
01:20:07sunken
01:20:08land masses
01:20:09such as
01:20:09Doggerland
01:20:10located just
01:20:12east of the
01:20:12British Isles
01:20:13in 2012
01:20:14and Zealandia
01:20:16found near
01:20:17New Zealand
01:20:18in 2017
01:20:19may offer
01:20:21proof
01:20:21that a
01:20:22catastrophic
01:20:22water event
01:20:23did in fact
01:20:24change the
01:20:25face of
01:20:26the earth
01:20:26so here
01:20:28so here we
01:20:28have
01:20:29authentic
01:20:29legends
01:20:30of lost

01:20:31that were
01:20:32destroyed
01:20:33in

01:20:34mainstream
01:20:35historians
01:20:37you know
01:20:37still
01:20:37pretty much
01:20:38reject
01:20:39this
01:20:39feel
01:20:40that it's
01:20:40all
01:20:40myths
01:20:41but it
01:20:42would seem
01:20:42really
01:20:43that all
01:20:43kinds
01:20:44of
01:20:44civilizations
01:20:45could have
01:20:45come and
01:20:46gone
01:20:46on our
01:20:46planet
01:20:47we know

01:20:52there's just
01:20:53so much
01:20:54on our
01:20:55planet
01:20:55that we
01:20:55have yet
