00:00Neurologist says Trump is very cognitively sharp.
00:04A New York neurologist told Newsmax that President Donald Trump is very cognitively sharp following a recent battery of tests.
00:11Dr. Russell Saraski made the comments during an interview on Rob Schmidt Tonight with host Rob Schmidt,
00:17saying he has been studying this president now for several years.
00:20Saraski responded,
00:21I can tell you he continues to be very cognitively sharp.
00:25He just had a thorough neurological exam, cranial nerves, motor, sensory, reflexes.
00:31Everything was excellent.
00:32Saraski said the president completed a Montreal cognitive assessment, scoring a 30 out of 30,
00:38and the magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance angiography scans of the brain, heart, and blood vessels showed perfectly clear results.
00:46He argued that the real issue was not the scans themselves, but the media's decision to ignore the excellent results.
00:53White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt summarized the administration's account and released a memo from the president's physician,
01:00Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, saying the imaging focused on the cardiovascular system and abdomen,
01:06and that the results were perfectly normal.
01:08The physician's memo described the imaging as preventive screening intended to identify issues early,
01:14confirm overall health,
01:16and ensure long-term vitality and function.
01:18The White House memo specified cardiovascular and abdominal imaging.
01:23It did not, in the text released to the public, state that brain imaging was performed.
01:28Saraski's on-air description, by contrast,
01:30referred to MRIs and MRAs of the brain, heart, and abdominal organs,
01:35and cited a MOCA score.
