Christamas Celebration: Thousands of people dressed as Santa Claus took to the streets of Madrid for the city’s annual Red Cross charity run on the final weekend before Christmas. Organisers estimate more than 10,000 participants joined the 4.5-kilometre race through the city centre, including children dressed as elves.

Runners said the event was a joyful way to spread positive energy and celebrate the festive season, combining fun, fitness and charity as Christmas approaches.
