00:00Previously on Canada's Drag Race
00:02It's the return of the reading battle
00:05Hi ladies and gentlemen
00:07Whatever the fuck PM is
00:09Thank you
00:10I am Ebony LaBelle
00:12And that's a man Maury
00:16Ebony LaBelle
00:17Congratulations
00:20I have chose to save Dulce
00:23PM
00:24Shanta Yusay
00:25Hazel
00:26Sashay away
00:30Oh
00:34Hazel
00:36Hazel is gone
00:38And I feel like I just lost the most important person in this game to me
00:44She didn't deserve to go yet
00:47Well fuck
00:49PM you are the only bitch to put up a great fight
00:52Honored to battle against you
00:54Bring it home to Vancouver
00:56Dulce you're lucky bitch
00:58Oh
01:00Love you all so much
01:01Season 6 sisters for life
01:07Although I think it was her time to go
01:08I am sad to lose a sister here
01:10Girl that first three alliance crumbled real fast
01:14Girl let's sit down and talk some shit
01:16Ugh
01:19Wow that lip sync was fucking incredible
01:21Everyone
01:22Absolutely
01:23Thank you
01:24You twirled down
01:25Thank you
01:26You ate that shit
01:27Thank you
01:28Oh yeah
01:29I am like very sad to have landed in the bottom two
01:33But I love to perform
01:37PM has shown us that they almost have immunity in this competition
01:41To be able to lip sync like that
01:43It feels like they're never gonna go home
01:44Ebony I'm so over the moon for you saving me
01:47I really appreciate it
01:49Um call it luck
01:51Call it whatever you want Hazel
01:52Ooh
01:53The tea is you were doing the worst in the competition
01:55You had landed in the bottom before and you weren't funny
01:57So you're home now
01:58Lucky for what?
01:59Every single fucking challenge we've done
02:01I've done better than you
02:03So lucky where?
02:04Lucky that I'm more talented than you?
02:06Something I did take into consideration
02:08I wasn't sure what's coming up next week
02:10I mean we still don't know
02:11I feel like it's gonna be something performance based
02:13And I know that's something that you're gonna kill at
02:16And also Dulce hasn't got to beef her yet
02:19It was tough
02:20So what you're saying is you saved Dulce
02:22Because PM and Hazel are better performers
02:24Girl, bye
02:26I see PM as bigger competition than Dulce
02:30And so I'm gonna put them in the bottom
02:33It wasn't no shadiness
02:34Girl, it wasn't shadiness
02:36This was your second bottom
02:38Yeah
02:39And so compared to Dulce with their first bottom
02:41Okay
02:42Ebony's dead to me in this game
02:45She is a lovely individual
02:47But she took out my best friend
02:50She put me in the bottom
02:51I'm not working with her
02:53I need to get out of drag because my skin is burning
02:56So let's go get out of drag everybody
02:58Let's go get out
03:00I feel like this is my turning point to stop playing nicely
03:05I think a few of us need to start talking a lie and stuff
03:08Because I think there is something going on beneath our toes here
03:12I have my eyes on that prize more so than ever
03:15And I'm ready to stir the pot to get some people out of here
03:19I'm sorry I have to put you through that trauma lip sticking against your fucking good sis
03:24It's okay
03:25I will lie
03:26I will say I'm working with her if she wants to even approach that
03:29She's my target
03:31P.M. Puppet master
03:36Bet you didn't see that one coming
03:41The winner of Canada's Drag Race receives $100,000
03:46With Tracy Melshore
03:48Carson Kressley
03:50And Brooklyn Heights
03:51With extra special guest judge Kyza
03:54It's a new day in the workroom and I feel fucking amazing
04:10I can't wait to see whatever it's gonna be
04:12And I can't wait to just infuse my secret sauce in the recipe
04:16I've had a realization, bro
04:18I've had a realization that I want to be confident
04:20You know, I want to be that person who, you know, is of my dreams
04:25You know, who's exactly where they're supposed to be
04:27And I realized that I am
04:28Word
04:29You know, I am
04:30But I realized that I was afraid of being angry at myself
04:34When Saldina talks, girl, it's just like a bunch of words that equal nothing
04:39She's going into like a monologue about her spiritual awakening
04:42I'm confident now, girl, shut up
04:43I just wanna say something
04:45I remember what Duse you said with your comeback
04:49I'm surprised you know the word grandma
04:51Cause wasn't your mom an alcoholic and hated you?
04:53Yeah
04:54Oh yeah, sure
04:55She cannot go to my mom and say things like that
04:58Because I really felt shit after
05:01And I think it was really under the belt
05:04Yeah, I'm sorry that if I felt like I was going for your trauma
05:07I mean, you mentioned me being poor, I have trauma from that
05:10So I don't feel like necessarily it was going under the belt
05:13But if you felt some type of way for the jokes that I made, I do apologize
05:16Thank you for letting me know, I appreciate that
05:18And I'll make sure not to like bring that kind of
05:19Thank you
05:20Cause if y'all wanna be
05:21Y'all are lucky
05:22Y'all are lucky
05:23Y'all are lucky
05:24Give me the fuck out here
05:26Oh, Canada
05:28Seen it already, then they had her
05:31Hey, Queens
05:32Hey
05:33Hey
05:34Is it getting hot in here?
05:35Or is it just the topics?

07:45Bet you know that I'm the best.
07:47Smash this beat, salute by Jed.
07:49I must admit, I'm out of breath, literally.
07:51Yes!
07:53Terra Nova's verse, like, I think it's good.
07:56Like, I genuinely love it.
07:58No, I'm actually out of breath. That was crazy.
07:59Gorgeous hair, teeny waist.
08:01Like, well, yes.
08:02I'm almost late for school, baby.
08:04Get the hell out of here.
08:05All right, next up is...

08:21Tongue, tongue, tongue pop.
08:24PM said, literally, hit the lights.
08:26I be focused, you know this.
08:29Don't come my way, cause you focus.
08:31Hocus, pocus, I be ready to ring.
08:33Go, little boy, kiss you out of my league.
08:35Don't find me, get like me.
08:37Don't hate me, congratulate me.
08:39I'm the queen that everybody pays to see.
08:42I sing okay.
08:44Do I hit the highest note on earth?
08:46No, but I'm a drag queen.
08:49Who cares?
08:50Heartbeat by Luna Dubois.
08:52Give the deep voice, give the voice.
08:54Baby, can't you tell that I'm in love with you?
09:00The way you look at me, the way you hold me,
09:03the way you kiss me makes my heart beat.
09:07Let's make it official.
09:08Got those pics uploaded on Insta.
09:10Stop, blood launch, even on Grindr joke.
09:12We're not open.
09:14Woo!
09:16Do you recognize any of these verses?
09:18No.
09:20Heartbreak by Amy Gonse.
09:23Ooh, I better get this one.
09:26Don't text me anymore.
09:28Soy la rompecorazon.
09:29I don't want you anymore.
09:31Sal de aquí el perderro.
09:33Tu fuese un condom.
09:34One night and adios.
09:36I'm so sorry for your love.
09:38Now, bye.
09:39Close the door.
09:40Don't call me anymore.
09:41Don't call me anymore.

09:47Yay!
09:48Yay!
09:49Yay!
09:50Yay!
09:51Now, let's go with Not by Zanna.
09:53Uh.
09:54Uh.
09:55This is my dad's favorite song.
09:56N-O-T.
09:58Not.
09:59We're not friends.
10:00You're a niche to an end.
10:01No matter how many OTs said.
10:02Kachi trying to steal my man's.
10:03I don't play pretends girl.
10:04I got friends.
10:05You got major split ends.
10:06Fake number one in first place.
10:07I could reach photo all over your face.
10:08Plus out the outer space.
10:09Signed, still delivered.
10:10End of pace.
10:11Yay!
10:12Oh, my God.
10:13Yeah.
10:14I did that one off beat too.
10:15Just like her.
10:16All of us are, like, you know, surprisingly bad.
10:17At least.
10:18Yeah.
10:19Oh, my God.
10:20Yeah.
10:21I did that one off beat too.
10:22Just like her.
10:23All of us are, like, you know, surprisingly bad.
10:25at karaoke.
10:26At least drag karaoke.
10:27I don't think we'll be called back ever again.
10:30Girl, that was crazy.
10:32Oh!
10:33Shit.
10:34Sorry.
10:35What a show.
10:38But I don't ever need to hear those verses again.
10:40Girl, same.
10:41That's fine.
10:42The winner of today's mini challenge is...
10:46Dilsa!
10:47Oh, my God.
10:48That's the first thing that held down.
10:51You've won $2,500 cash courtesy of Shoe Freaks.
10:56Yeah!
10:57I'm not poor anymore.
10:59Come on.
11:00Queen, you've shown me you can hit the right note, but can you talk the talk?
11:05Ooh.
11:06Ooh.
11:07Ooh.
11:08For this week's maxi challenge, you'll be the hostesses with the mostesses on our brand-new drag talk show, The Shade.
11:14Okay.
11:15All right.
11:16Okay.
11:17You'll be serving co-anchor realness while bringing the gossip, drama, and tea to daytime TV.
11:25Yeah.
11:26All right.
11:27Thank you.
11:28But first things first, divide yourselves up into three groups of three.
11:32Go.
11:33Oh.
11:34Hello?
11:35I'm down.
11:36I'm down with that.
11:37I'm down with this.
11:38I just turn around and look over, and I see Velma and P.M., and I'm like, gold.
11:43What the...
11:44Oh, we have to split up.
11:45I gotta split up.
11:46Okay.
11:47Well, yes.
11:48We got this.
11:49We got this.
11:50Each group will tackle their own block of the show, starting with...
11:54The Realness.
11:55Breaking down the biggest topics in drag today.
11:58Think tipping and tucking and everything in between.
12:03Tea Time.
12:04Spilling on the shadiest celebrity headlines of the week.
12:07And finally, Couchside Kiki, an exclusive three-on-one interview with an extra special guest.
12:15Dance music diva, Kaiza.
12:18Oh!
12:19Oh, my.
12:20Okay, yeah.
12:21Very good.
12:22Yes.
12:23Bitch, Miss Kaiza.
12:26Ugh.
12:27That is gaggy.
12:28I'll let you fight over who gets what segment.
12:31Racers, start your engines, and may the best drag queen...
12:36This challenge is gonna be so much fun, yo.
12:47I'm excited.
12:48I am excited for it.
12:49For real, Kesa, I love her so much.
12:52It's gonna be so cool.
12:53It's epic.
12:54Ties up.
12:55I need to interview her today because I'm a dancer, she's a dancer, and I wanna know everything about her.
13:01All right, ladies.
13:02It's time to choose our segments.
13:04Does anybody have a preference?
13:06The realness, I think.
13:07Do you guys feel the realness?
13:08I don't feel the realness.
13:09Yeah, I love the realness.
13:12Well, you guys do give real mess, but I don't know about realness.
13:16And that's why we wanna do tea time.
13:18I wanna show that I'm a real biatch.
13:21Wait, no.
13:23Not like a real bitch, but like a real bitch.
13:26I think we wanna do tea time.
13:28Or the realness.
13:29We're feeling tea time or the realness.
13:31Yeah.
13:32I definitely want tea time.
13:33I think that's the most opportunity to have fun.
13:35I know I'm with some shady bitches up in here.
13:37And I think this is gonna go really well.
13:39Couchside Kiki.
13:40Oh, that was easy.
13:41Yay!
13:42That was definitely easy.
13:43Wait, that was so nice of us.
13:46Who's gonna screw this up and who's gonna do well?
13:48I guess we'll find out after the break.
13:51Okay.
13:56Hi, welcome back to The Shade.
13:57I'm Sammy.
13:58I'm PM.
13:59I'm Velma.
14:00And we're here having the couchside Kiki.
14:03Kiki.
14:04We are all so happy to be working together.
14:06And it's just ear-to-ear grins,
14:08which is exactly the setup you need for this challenge.
14:13I feel really good.
14:14I mean, obviously I feel a little sad
14:16that neither of you really wanted me in your group.
14:18I feel like when we kinda...
14:19When did I say that?
14:20When we were standing out there
14:21and me and Maya were separate,
14:22none of you were eager to pull me in
14:24or be like, who does that come here?
14:25Oh, I see.
14:26Yeah, but you didn't do that to me either.
14:27When?
14:28When you were with Maya,
14:29you weren't like...
14:30I literally was the one that went into your groove.
14:32Girl, like, it's not that serious.
14:34It is not that serious.
14:36I honestly wasn't thinking twice.
14:37I wanted to stay with me,
14:38so it's like either one of you has to come.
14:40No, because she grabbed me first.
14:42Yeah, okay.
14:43But what I do wanna do
14:44is that little shit like this
14:45doesn't fucking matter
14:46because we need to do well in the challenge.
14:47Well, my feelings do matter,
14:48so if that's how I felt,
14:49that's how I'm gonna talk.
14:50Oh, my God.
14:51Okay.
14:52That part.
14:53But, girl, this is definitely not the energy
14:55that I wanna start with.
14:57Honestly, girl, go fuck yourself.
14:59I'm gonna say how I feel
15:00and you're not gonna shut me up
15:01because this is not the energy that you need.
15:03So I'm Tina trying to silent on white voices, girl.
15:05Not today, girl.
15:06I know exactly what I was doing.
15:07Yeah.
15:08Girl, she's so annoying.
15:10Okay, ladies.
15:12Yes.
15:13We got the winning team
15:14because we're all winners.
15:15We do.
15:16I'm scared of hearing from her.
15:17You know what?
15:18Actually, about that,
15:19I think that gives us, like,
15:20a little bit more pressure this week
15:21because this is the thing.
15:22We know the judges like us.
15:23Clocked up.
15:24Hell, yes, there's a lot of pressure
15:25being in a group with all winners.
15:26Not only are the other girls looking at us
15:28because they're waiting for us to trip up,
15:30but at the same time,
15:31I'm working with people
15:33who have already proved themselves
15:34in this competition,
15:35so I know that I need to work that much harder.
15:37So how are you guys feeling
15:38about the topic that we got?
15:39Is this...
15:40Was this your number one choice, or...?
15:41I'm actually happy with the topic.
15:43I just didn't want the couch side cheeky.
15:45I just think a three-on-one interview
15:47is kind of a recipe for disaster.
15:49It's risky.
15:50I don't know how they'll do,
15:52but they're all smiles over there,
15:54so maybe they'll do well.
15:56But you can never trust a person
15:57that smiles too much, you know?
15:58Like, if you're always smiling,
15:59like, what are you hiding?
16:01Like, they're over there like...
16:02Yeah?
16:03Girl, that's why Star went home.
16:04Too damn much...
16:08Does anybody feel like they really
16:10would love to moderate?
16:12I would love to moderate.
16:13I would really love that.
16:14I really hope that if I do a good job
16:16as a moderator,
16:17that'll be my ticket to the win.
16:19I think we do have a challenge
16:20because we're four people talking.
16:22Yeah, we have to be smart about it.
16:23We don't want to cut her off,
16:24but we want to make sure
16:25that at the end of the day
16:26it's us being evaluated
16:27and not her, you know?
16:29We're gonna have to listen even more
16:31because we can't just
16:33have our rehearsed bits.
16:34You cannot zone out.
16:35You can't clock out.
16:37You gotta clock in,
16:38as Van would say thousands of times.
16:41See, clock it.
16:42Clock it!
16:43Clock it!
16:44Clock it!
16:45Clock it.
16:46Clock it.
16:47Fucking clock it.
16:48I hate it.
16:49I feel like all these topics
16:52we could talk about
16:53for like 10 minutes each.
16:54That would definitely
16:55be our challenge.
16:56Yeah.
16:57Just keeping it concise.
16:58And this is daytime,
16:59so we have to be inspirational.
17:00My strategy during this challenge
17:02is to show a more
17:04serious side of myself.
17:06But, you know,
17:07I want to talk about
17:08my experiences.
17:09So, padding in and out.
17:10For me personally,
17:11I always pat.
17:12I think people should
17:13do it first
17:14to find out how it feels.
17:15Do you ever pat something out?
17:16Or no?
17:17I started with padding.
17:18Mm-hmm.
17:19And then, you know,
17:20because of my body,
17:21because I have to use
17:22the washroom so much,
17:23I was like, you know what?
17:24Let's try it without padding.
17:25I do have an invisible disability
17:27because of my car accident.
17:28And that ranges from
17:30any gut issues.
17:31It ranges from scar tissue pain,
17:34fatigue, joint pain.
17:36I go to the washroom a lot.
17:38Sometimes after a number,
17:39I'm running to a washroom
17:41because I don't want
17:42to shit on stage.
17:43As I'm like,
17:44at first I was like,
17:45oh my God,
17:46this is a comedy challenge.
17:47It's not fun.
17:48No, and the main thing
17:49is to be yourself.
17:50Yeah.
17:51I feel like we all talk a lot,
17:52but we're also not really loud.
17:53And we don't overpower each other.
17:54Yeah.
17:55I'm not going in there
17:56with a character.
17:57I'm not going in there
17:58with a crazy voice.
17:59I'm treating it like
18:00I'm literally just sitting there
18:01talking to my friends
18:02and listening.
18:03So how are we feeling
18:04about the other two groups?
18:06Van and Ebony,
18:07they're talkers.
18:08Yeah, they do.
18:09They talk a lot.
18:10Yeah.
18:11You know,
18:12I'm just wondering
18:13if Van and Ebony
18:14can just shut
18:15and listen for one second.
18:17As much as I love
18:18Ebony and Van Goss,
18:19they don't know how
18:20to hold a conversation
18:21like a person.
18:22and then Dulce Saltina
18:24and Caramel.
18:25I feel like that's
18:26a strong team.
18:27Oh.
18:28But you know what?
18:29We have more confidence.
18:30Yeah.
18:31Yeah.
18:32I feel like the realness
18:34is a more subdued group.
18:35I am not sure
18:36if they're going to find
18:37the fun aspect,
18:39but that'll work
18:41in my favor, I guess.
18:44Beautiful.
18:45Oh, hey.
18:46That's amazing.
18:47Wow.
18:49Hey, queens.
18:50Who's ready to hit
18:51the airwaves?
18:52Yay!
18:54Dulce Saltina, Caramel,
18:55you're up first.
18:56Everybody else,
18:57have a seat.
18:58Yay!
18:59We're about to do
19:00our live taping
19:01of The Shade.
19:02Let's hope this, uh,
19:04goes well.
19:05The Shade is obviously
19:07a talk show,
19:08but listening is just
19:10as important
19:11as the talking.
19:13What daytime show
19:14are they on, girl?
19:15One's going to a wedding,
19:16one's going figure-stating,
19:17the other one's going
19:18to a rave.
19:19It's something else, girl.
19:20We're going live in five,
19:22four, three...
19:26Hello, and welcome
19:27to The Shade,
19:28the talk show
19:29that keeps you
19:30on your heels.
19:31My name is Dulce,
19:32and with me today,
19:33I have Saltina and Caramel.
19:36In our first segment
19:37of the day,
19:38it's time for the realness,
19:40where we will be discussing
19:41some hot topics
19:42and dishing our opinions.
19:43First up, padding.
19:45In or out, ladies?
19:46I feel like right now,
19:48there's a major discourse
19:49around padding.
19:50I feel like it's really
19:51up to the girl.
19:52It's really up to you
19:53and your drag.
19:54For me, I started with padding.
19:56Yeah.
19:57I started with it,
19:58and I loved it, but...
19:59You know how much I go
20:00to the washroom?
20:01Well, yes.
20:02I decided to try it without,
20:03and I love it.
20:04I recall this one time
20:05I did a show,
20:06and it wasn't until it was,
20:07like, halfway through
20:08that I realized that, like,
20:09I had forgotten my pads at home.
20:11After that,
20:12I was just in the mirror crying,
20:14but I had to, like,
20:15quit the show halfway
20:16because I think I relied
20:17on the pads so much
20:18to, like, make me feel comfortable,
20:20and I love the way
20:21my body looks when it's padded.
20:23The energy on this segment
20:24is so low.
20:26Girls, pick it up.
20:28Club culture.
20:30So when I say that, ladies,
20:31like, what comes to your mind?
20:33For me, it's one word.
20:34It's accessibility.
20:35Yeah.
20:36As a broke-body baddie myself,
20:38I want to see more people
20:39like me there.
20:40I want to see people
20:41who never thought
20:42that they could be there.
20:43Go and have a good time.
20:44It's definitely more
20:45about, like, acceptance.
20:46Yeah.
20:47I find that sometimes, like,
20:48when I go out of drag
20:49to the same club
20:50that I was performing at,
20:51like, literally last night,
20:53it's, like, it's harder
20:54for me to get a drink.
20:55Girl, this is boring.
20:57If this was a talk show,
20:59I'd be changing the channel
21:00by now.
21:01Even more sober spaces,
21:02there's a lot of sober queens.
21:04It's hard when all your friends
21:05are drunk or drinking
21:06is encouraged or it's like,
21:07I'm not drinking tonight.
21:08No, do a tequila shot.
21:09We shouldn't be encouraging that.
21:11And as a sober girl myself,
21:13I can say I can still party.
21:15Thank you very much.
21:16100%.
21:17I can still party.
21:18Oh, I know.
21:19Speaking about partying,
21:21there's nothing we love
21:22to do more than party
21:23with our drag families.
21:24Do you guys have a drag family?
21:26I feel like I started drag
21:27and I had a drag mother right away,
21:29and she has been incredible,
21:30so supportive.
21:31But I've learned that it's not
21:32just, like, having a drag mother,
21:33drag daughter.
21:34It's about the connections
21:35you make along the way.
21:36Drag family's important.
21:38It's really important.
21:40Girl, curl milk is given
21:42an empty plate.
21:43Please, sir,
21:44can I have some more?
21:45Unfortunately,
21:46that is time for us.
21:48I wanted to thank you guys
21:49so much for joining us.
21:50We'll be right back
21:51after these short messages.
21:53I'm with my tea time girls.
22:00Yes.
22:01Van, Ebony, and Maya Fox.
22:03We're going in to film our segment,
22:05and girl, I am feeling shady.
22:07We're going live in five, four, three...
22:11Have you got your cups ready?
22:13Whether you like it iced, hot,
22:15or full of shade,
22:16grab your girls,
22:17because it's...
22:20Tea time.
22:21My name is Van Goth,
22:23and I am here with Ebony LaBelle
22:25and Maya Fox
22:26to dish and spill
22:27on the hottest celebrity tea.
22:30Maya, what are you
22:31brewing over there?
22:32Well, listen,
22:33the first story of the day
22:34involves a scandal
22:35with the current reigning queen
22:37of Canada's drag race.
22:38No way.
22:39That's right.
22:40The Virgo queen,
22:41she's not even a Virgo.
22:42What?
22:43She's a Scorpio.
22:44A Scorpio?
22:45Listen, Ebony,
22:46you're a Virgo, right?
22:47What do you think about that?
22:48because we are funny.
22:49Yes.
22:50We are organized.
22:51And we got rockin' bodies.
22:53And let me tell you,
22:54when I was watching Virgo
22:55on season five...
22:56Good, she ain't gonna know that.
22:57Okay.
22:58Oh, oh.
22:59Clock it.
23:00Now listen, Ebony,
23:01what are you seepin' on over there?
23:02It is pretty bitter.
23:03I'mma be real.
23:04I won last week.
23:05Oh, we heard.
23:06And I got real close
23:08and personal with the beaver.
23:09She was cute,
23:11but she was a little suspicious.
23:13Oh.
23:14How so?
23:15Why is she not even gold?
23:16Oh.
23:17Girl.
23:18Oh my...
23:19Now Miss Maya.
23:20Yes.
23:21You won a few weeks ago.
23:22I did.
23:23And you held the beaver.
23:24Well, listen,
23:25when I picked Miss Beaver up,
23:26she was a little lighter
23:27than I expected.
23:28But I just thought Miss Thing
23:29was on Ozempic, okay?
23:30She might have been.
23:31She might have been.
23:32Now listen,
23:33I have some breaking news.
23:34Ooh.
23:35As well.
23:36Y'all know Jimbo, right?
23:37Of course.
23:38Miss Thing is opening up
23:39her own drag school.
23:40Okay.
23:41She's offering classes,
23:42she's got teachers.
23:43I actually got an email.
23:44She was offering me
23:45a full ride scholarship.
23:46Aww.
23:47Yes, she knew the drag was good.
23:48Or that the drag needed help.
23:50I don't know.
23:51Anyways.
23:52Let me tell you about
23:53the most popular course
23:54that she's offering.
23:55It's how to lose twice
23:56and win on the third try.
23:58So, you know our queen mother?
23:59Of course.
24:00Host of Canada's Drag Race.
24:02Now tell me why
24:03she was caught at DragCon
24:05with no wig.
24:06with no wig.
24:07I don't know though.
24:08I'm kind of here for it.
24:09It's giving very Joey J tees.
24:11Yes.
24:12That is true.
24:13But listen,
24:14if I were to be caught
24:15at a gig or in public
24:16with no wig,
24:17it'd be pretty scurry up in there.
24:18It would be.
24:19But you know,
24:20Miss Thing is a trendsetter.
24:21If Miss Brooklyn
24:22is wearing no wig,
24:23maybe ladies,
24:24we should try no wig.
24:25Oh.
24:26Should we,
24:27should we give it a...
24:28No.
24:29No, no, no.
24:30We'll leave it to Brooklyn.
24:31She got the bone structure for it.
24:32Van Gogh, Ebony, and Maya
24:34are doing really well.
24:35They've picked up the energy.
24:37Sorry.
24:38Mmm.
24:39Oh, I picked up my energy there.
24:41Have you got your fill?
24:42Because I'm overflowing.
24:44But don't go anywhere.
24:45The shade will be right back.
24:47Yay!
24:49All right,
24:50we have Sammy, PM, and Delma.
24:52How you doing?
24:53Great.
24:54Great.
24:55Okay,
24:56we are back in five,
24:57four,
24:58three...
25:00Bonjour,
25:01and welcome back.
25:02I'm Sammy,
25:03and I'm joined by...
25:05Hi, I'm PM.
25:06I am Velma.
25:07And this is Couchside Kiki,
25:10where we get to know
25:11one of your favorite
25:12Canadian celebrities.
25:14Today,
25:15we're very excited for this one.
25:16We're joined by three-time
25:18Juno award-winning artist.
25:20It's Kaisa, everyone.
25:22We're so happy to have you.
25:27You look so good.
25:28Wow.
25:29Wow.
25:30Take your seats.
25:31Yeah, sit down.
25:32So this is the Couchside Kiki, okay?
25:34See, my nickname is Kiki.
25:35No.
25:36Okay.
25:37My mom calls me Kiki.
25:38This is perfect.
25:39We're about to have a good Kiki now.
25:41I'm a dancer,
25:42and I so look up to you
25:44and your movement quality
25:46and just everything you exude.
25:48Thank you.
25:49Thank you.
25:50How long have you been a mover?
25:51Because it seems like forever.
25:52Forever.
25:53Yeah, since I was a kid.
25:54I started ballet when I was, like, two.
25:55It shows.
25:56But I've always been a bit awkward, actually.
25:57You can sort of see it.
25:58I'm a little, like, nerdy and awkward,
26:00and that's actually because I'm ambidextrous.
26:01Oh, okay.
26:02And I have a dual-dominant brain.
26:04Do you have a favorite performance memory?
26:07One of the coolest memories
26:08was performing at Wembley Stadium.
26:10Oh, my gosh.
26:11Wow.
26:12It's the first time I experienced, like,
26:13when they say the crowd high.
26:14There's nothing like that.
26:15I got actually high,
26:17and I got lost.
26:19Like, I was on this thrust stage,
26:20and I went down,
26:21and I was just like...
26:23I'll have what she's having.
26:25I know.
26:26Well, speaking of being lost,
26:28one of my favorite personal song ever
26:32is Idaway.
26:33This music video,
26:34because it's a one-shot video,
26:36how did you come with that idea?
26:38I was broke.
26:40I couldn't afford an editor.
26:42Yes.
26:43Cowtide Kiki is going good.
26:46They're seeming to connect with Kaiza.
26:48I don't know.
26:49It's better than the realness.
26:50I'm gonna tell you that.
26:51Now, we're about to go into
26:52our favorite segment, all right?
26:54So this is rapid-fire questions, all right?
26:57And you just answer with the first thing
26:59that pops up in your mouth.
27:00Okay, I'm scared.
27:01Don't be scared.
27:02It's a good couch here.
27:03Very good.
27:04I love this talk show, by the way.
27:05Thank you.
27:06Thank you.
27:07Our ratings are going up the roof right now.
27:08Now, East Coast or West Coast?
27:11And be careful.
27:12I'm from the East Coast.
27:13I'm from the West Coast, so.
27:14Honestly, I find the East Coast more artistic.
27:15It is.
27:16But I like relaxing.
27:17I go to the West Coast to, like, disappear
27:19and kind of get into my soul, my, like, vanish.
27:23Sweet or salty?
27:24Salty.
27:25Sneakers or stilettos?
27:27I know.
27:29I like the sneaker stilettos.
27:31Have you seen those?
27:32Yes, yes, yes, yes.
27:34Yes, yes, yes.
27:35Ketchup on poutine.
27:36Agree?
27:37No.
27:38No.
27:39Okay, okay.
27:40I'm good.
27:41I'm there with you.
27:42We're trying to be inclusive here, but I'm with you.
27:45That's all the time we have.
27:47Thank you so much for taking the time to Kiki with us.
27:51Tune in tomorrow where we will be joined by Brad Goreski.
27:55Where has he been?
27:56We will find out.
27:58I'm Sammy.
27:59I'm PM.
28:00And I'm Velma.
28:01Thanks for sitting with us at Couchside Kiki.
28:05Thank you.
28:06Thank you.
28:07Wow.
28:08I'm just really happy with what we did.
28:10Everything was so fast, but I have just a good feeling about it.
28:16It's elimination day, and some of these girls should be really worried
28:18because they forgot that a daytime talk show is still supposed to be entertaining.
28:22It's TV.
28:23We did really fucking good.
28:25None of us fucking stumble.
28:26I can acknowledge when I don't do well, but I can acknowledge when I do fucking well.
28:30And I did fucking well this week.
28:32I feel like we did do well.
28:33I feel like it really depends on the taste of the judges per each segment.
28:36You know what I mean?
28:37She was having fun with us.
28:38I really feel like she was having fun.
28:40She said it.
28:41She said it.
28:42That's the thing.
28:43We were having a Kiki.
28:44After seeing all these shady bitches have fake-ass alliances,
28:47I'm gonna go align myself with the two realest people in this room.
28:52I think we need to get real right now because I haven't felt like I have anyone that really has my back.
29:01And I would love to have a weirdo-clown alliance.
29:05Yeah.
29:06Yeah.
29:07Of course.
29:08Let's just do that trio.
29:09Like the three clowns, why not?
29:11I feel like these two are two people that I can rely on.
29:14And even for the weirdo queens, we had very daytime looks.
29:18Oh, my God.
29:19Yeah.
29:20Yeah.
29:21It's time to send in the clowns.
29:24I don't know how many of you guys know this.
29:27I don't think I've shared it with that many people unless they knew, like, my day job about like a year or two ago.
29:32For like six years, I was in the military.
29:34Oh.
29:35Like that was like my regular job.
29:36Wow.
29:37Um, and while I did that, like I still did drag.
29:40And I would get into drag like on the bases and like go to my shows.
29:43What?
29:44That's iconic.
29:45That's nice.
29:46And they knew.
29:47I didn't hide it.
29:48Like I never changed my voice.
29:49I never changed anything because like I've always wanted to be unapologetically myself.
29:52As I was there a longer time and more years, like people would like come out to me and stuff and say like how cool it was to see someone so queer and stuff in the army.
30:00But they're like just the fact that you can do that is like super cool.
30:03And honestly, that brought me so much joy.
30:05Delce, have you ever like used a gun or like shot a gun or like done any of that?
30:09Girl, yes, I used to.
30:11I can like do like a machine gun, a regular gun.
30:14I can like take them apart, put them back together, blindfolded, honey.
30:17Like what?
30:18Yes, honey.
30:19Yes.
30:20Literally, yes.
30:22Like Dulce knows how to assemble a gun blindfolded.
30:26Van, you in danger, girl.
30:28So we have a really exciting runway today, a perp walk to remember.
30:34Yes.
30:35What do you guys have?
30:37My runway today is probably the one that I'm most proud of.
30:42I am going to be talking about the bathhouse raids in the 80s.
30:47Oh.
30:48In Toronto, actually, there were bathhouses being raided.
30:51And men, trans people, queer people were dragged out just in their skimpies, maybe undressed.
30:59And a lot of them were arrested just for being themselves in a space that they thought they could call home.
31:06And so I am going to be one of the people who got pulled out today.
31:11I love that.
31:12I'm pretty stoked.
31:13Sammy, what are you doing?
31:14I need to know.
31:15I'm going full silly.
31:17My whole thing is illegal injections.
31:20That's like what I'm arrested for.
31:22I'm going to be botched on the runway.
31:25As opposed to.
31:26As opposed to.
31:27As opposed to.
31:29As opposed to.
31:30What about you, Van?
31:32Mine's really personal.
31:34This last year I was diagnosed with HIV positive.
31:36Oh.
31:37Oh.
31:38And one of the first things that happened was this person called me and said, like, hey,
31:45like, this is someone to talk to you about, like, all the legal issues.
31:48And I was like, what legal issues?
31:49And she was like, well, if you don't disclose your status when you're asleep with people,
31:53you can get charged with aggravated sexual assault.
31:55And I was like, even if I was undetectable, she's like, yeah, but it doesn't matter.
31:58You have to always disclose it.
32:00Um, or you could get arrested.
32:03When I, like, found out I had HIV positive, I was just like, I just couldn't believe it.
32:07And I felt guilty, but also, like, sad.
32:11Like, I felt like I did something wrong.
32:13Like, why did I feel that way?
32:15Like, why is, like, my first reaction that I, like, should feel bad?
32:18So my look is inspired by, I guess, my fears of, like, having my status used against me in a way that is, like, criminal
32:28and, like, could result in, like, I don't know, me going to jail or, like, just, like, being discriminated against.
32:33Like, a lot of the fear has been, like, not getting upset with myself and, like, I'm not the problem.
32:42And it's, like, hard to unlearn.
32:45We love you so much.
32:49Oh, my God, I can't wait to see you.
32:51I just, like, feel like I don't know who I am anymore.
32:54Like, like, I just, like, don't know.
32:57Yeah, I don't know.
32:59Sorry to, like, express.
33:00Yeah.
33:01Yeah.
33:02Coming on here, I really want to, like, just show people a different side of it
33:06and that it's not everything you see in movies and TV shows
33:10and you don't get diagnosed if you're positive one day
33:12and the next day you have AIDS and you're on your deathbed.
33:14There's a lot of stigma within the community about it, which is unfortunate and it's really sad.
33:20I want to learn more about what being AIDS positive is
33:23and I want to break my own stigmas about it.
33:25If I could, like, sit back at the end of my life or my career in drag and be like,
33:30oh, I made a difference, that's, like, the best prize.
33:34How could you ask for anything better?
33:36Be patient with yourself and remember that you don't have to rush to figure everything out right now.
33:42No, totally.
33:43You can take your time.
33:45I'm honestly really proud of Nan in this moment for being so vulnerable.
33:48I know that she is somebody that's kind of guarded, she has this hard exterior,
33:52and I know that it is a huge step for her to come out and share her status with us.
33:57We love you, girl.
33:58Thank you.
33:59We love you.
34:00We love you.
34:01I appreciate it.

40:44talk show energy when you watch a talk show it's a back and forth it's a volley and i really felt
40:50like that was missing it felt a little bit flat and this is a daytime talk show it's supposed to
40:56be lively and engaging and it felt more like monologues than conversations you know in a
41:02daytime format people are sitting at home during the day and they kind of want to be part of the
41:05party you kind of wanted to see you know you gals kiki-ing about important things but having a fun
41:11time doing it i loved your look your body looks amazing fantastic and i just i gagged when you
41:17came out of that medieval thing i would have loved some more medievalish hair to go with it but i
41:24appreciated the reveal and i think this is a really cool take on a perp walk thank you next up dulce
41:30hi you were the lead moderator and that is probably the toughest job on a daytime talk show and i think
41:37you took that so seriously that you kind of got lost in the script you were well researched and you
41:43were ready to talk about your topics but it was almost like you were too ready there was a bit of
41:48a seriousness all the way through it felt like the tv turned on and you turned off i really loved a lot
41:55of moments of what you were saying but um i felt just your body language was closed to the camera you
42:01could have just kind of opened your body up so we could see you a little more this is one of my favorite
42:06looks i've seen you in it's young it's fresh it's funky it's a little bit bangey a little bit
42:12shoplifting on sesame street which i love i wish i got a little bit more shoplifter from it i wish you
42:18would have pulled like 10 000 things just to really sell the idea what story you're telling
42:23next up caramel hey i get the sense that you are a quiet personality and you're not the loudest person
42:31in the room which is something i can very much relate to i'm the same way but challenges like
42:36these are extra hard for us because we really have to go outside of our comfort zone and we have to go
42:42triple what we think we should be doing it was about the energy level and i think that if you're not
42:47the most extroverted person act just fake it till you make it first of all i actually think you have
42:54such a strong presence and i just felt yeah maybe you were playing it a little bit safe
42:58i think this look i know this is uh a bank robber gets shot with like you know the dye that identifies
43:05you as the robber i wasn't really getting that from this look i think the problem for me is the color
43:10i would have loved if you had done a really contrasting color so the blue dye really popped
43:15on it for me i think it's a very cool concept i just don't think it's quite fully realized thank you
43:21so much next up ebony labelle you were made for tv i just wanted to watch you forever you really
43:28brought the audience in and you made it fun i love the wig i love the look the beat was beaten i was
43:34channeling you oh stop it i literally got ready and was like i look like tracy muscle right now well
43:40i'm flatter you're magnetic i was drawn in i i had so much fun i really felt like i was in the room
43:46when you're comfortable the audience is comfortable and that's gold for daytime television
43:50your look tonight you know the fact that you're paying tribute to marsha p johnson her impact is
43:56immeasurable it's a little bit simple for me um and there's a little bit of a fit issue with the
44:02crotch especially if we're doing something like a bodysuit we have to make sure it fits perfectly
44:07next up pm hi pm hi i think that's funny that your name is pm but you're really you're an am kind
44:16of queen uh because you belong on daytime i've done so many interviews and this was one of my favorites
44:23of like my whole career you connected to our special guest kaiza dancer to dancer and you also showed her
44:30that you were listening to her you showed your personality without taking over thank you your look
44:38tonight i am equally delighted and disgusted yay i feel like this is pm core and you also brought
44:45attention to a really important moment in our queer history just in a slightly more disgusting way
44:51a little bit last but certainly not least sammy landry
44:55you did such a good job being the mediator of the group like i did feel like you really anchored
45:03the the whole talk show when kaiza spoke about feeling like she was high at wembley stadium
45:10you're like i'll have what she's having you were just really listening and responding and having fun
45:15i really really enjoyed you and i did not know how you were going to do in this challenge so you
45:18really surprised me this week thank you this look looks like somebody put jimbo in the microwave
45:26this is the kind of level of crazy and manic and weird that i want to see from you you're like cindy
45:32loo who's slutty cougar stepmom tanya loo who tanya based on the judges critiques we have made some decisions
45:45sammy landry in the challenge and on the runway you are the name on everyone's lips
45:51ebony labelle this week you spilled the tea and we loved every drop pm you were a daytime delight
46:02and on the runway you served the bathhouse down boots sammy landry congratulations you are the winner of
46:12this week's maxi challenge thank you you have won five thousand dollars cash courtesy of community one
46:21foundation ebony pm great work this week thank you saltina dulce caramel i'm sorry but that means you
46:31are the bottom queens this week sammy as this week's winner you have earned the power of the golden beaver
46:38granting you the ability to save one of the bottom queens from lip-syncing for their life
46:45as you untuck the bottom three may plead their case you may leave the stage
46:49pick up your feet i gotta tidy up i gotta make sure this set's nice and clean the girls will be
46:59here any minute hurry up it's a little messy so we got the man of green gables you know doing a little
47:05bit of housekeeping her east coast is really coming out here oh they're back oh my god we've been
47:11cleaning up coming into untucked i feel so great i won this week i feel amazing i'm aware baby
47:26five thousand dollars i'm gonna go get some real injections who are the other girls in the top
47:31i have landed in the top and this makes me so excited surprise bitches i'm in the bottom yeah
47:48they just want me to like i guess like break out in my shell more i get it it's like drag it's better to
47:54to go big rather than to go home so this is my first time here and it honestly it sucks i know
48:02that i'm retreating a little bit i don't want that to be the reason why i go i'm not fading into the
48:09background i refuse i'm realizing that i'm worth it that i'm deserving of being here that i'm here for
48:17a reason and that i am talented let's say what do they say about you i just feel like so stupid
48:25i thought i was in the top so it makes me feel like oh obviously not like i view my drag differently
48:33i really thought i was in the top and i was gonna win and i feel like the dumbest bitch ever
48:38for like thinking that i try to listen and think of like how to do what they want us to do and i do the best and
48:47it doesn't work when has the challenge ever asked you to be serious dry and monotone
48:57kind of like your vagina i have something i want to ask from the bottom three i want to hear why you
49:05want to stay but i think also i want to hear if you stay what are specific things that you know you
49:12need to work on to go better in this competition spicy girl who dynamite you brooklyn all of a sudden
49:20you're like well tell me how you're gonna improve yourself bitch how are you gonna improve yourself
49:24you still well i will go first i'm often afraid to come across as ironically too confident i feel that
49:33at any point that i am someone is gonna tear me down someone's gonna tell me that i don't deserve
49:38what the i have i relate to that yeah and this competition has made me realize that you know
49:44what maybe i do deserve this maybe i do deserve my tiktok following maybe i do deserve that win
49:49i've knocked down all those walls the self-doubt the overconfidence the arrogance the fear
49:56i want to know what's next i'm saying no matter what
50:00i bet you wish you gave the beaver to sammy now
50:08baby put saltina in the bottom two make her lip sync let's go you want to get the top four
50:13spot you want to win let's see it girl fuck friendships coming here i want to show that i'm
50:18more than just somebody that control on stage i want to show more my personality it's insane
50:23the amount of growth i feel like i've learned and grown as a person and i want to continue that i
50:28want to continue to show it and to prove it fuck the noise i'm just going to say what i have to say
50:33save me don't save me i'll turn it out well i think i'm the only one of these two that hasn't said
50:38that you should have been in the bottom or gone home so take that into consideration no you said it
50:43i'm a fierce queen you got like everything i do i've gone through like so much
50:49fucking shit and always made it through the other end i will get through this as well i will be here no
50:53matter what because i'm supposed to be here i deserve to be saved because i wasn't the worst
50:59this week and like girl i'll give you a vape i could save saltina she's a great friend of mine but
51:07she is a threat i could save caramel she didn't do that bad in the challenge but she is a lip sync
