00:01:09And these strange creatures are unlike anything else in the animal kingdom.

00:01:13And we have reports that they even have supernatural abilities.

00:01:16Right, and often these cryptids, for example, in ancient times, are referred to as hybrid

00:01:22beings, like the minotaur in ancient Greece, half human, half bull.

00:01:28And according to legend, this being was allegedly created inside of a container.

00:01:33That, to me, speaks of genetic experimentation.

00:01:36Yeah, and these stories aren't just isolated to the ancient world.

00:01:39Cryptids have been recorded right up through to the present day.

00:01:41We've featured these strange creatures in a 2011 episode called Aliens and Monsters.

00:01:52Surfside Beach, Montauk, New York.

00:01:57On July 13, 2008, a 26-year-old woman and three of her friends

00:02:03discovered the carcass of a strange-looking creature that had washed onto the shore.

00:02:09It actually looked like a hybrid creature that had the claws of a raccoon and possibly the beak

00:02:22of a bird and the body, perhaps, of a dog.

00:02:25A very unusual creature.

00:02:28A photograph was taken and circulated.

00:02:31It started popping up all over the internet.

00:02:34It went viral.

00:02:35The people couldn't identify the animal because it didn't look like anything.

00:02:40It looked like a mixture of different animals.

00:02:46And because it looks so strange, you know, it's provoked a lot of theories.

00:02:51Is it just an unknown animal?

00:02:54Could it be some sort of hybrid-type creature?

00:02:57Something, you know, that had been genetically tinkered with in a lab?

00:02:59Some believe the mysterious creature is a hybrid beast,

00:03:09perhaps created at a nearby government testing facility,

00:03:13the Plum Island Animal Disease Center.

00:03:17Cryptozoologist Lauren Coleman labels the creature the Montauk Monster.

00:03:21This is a replica of the Montauk Monster.

00:03:26One of the things that we noticed about this creature was these strange features around its mouth.

00:03:31It looked like a beak.

00:03:33It actually looked like we didn't know what was going on here.

00:03:37Was it a griffin?

00:03:37Was it a creature?

00:03:38Was it a giant turtle?

00:03:40But indeed, that was decaying flesh that had come away from the skull.

00:03:45Other features were the strange-looking feet.

00:03:48And the body, indeed, because the picture had no scale in it, we thought, looked enormous.

00:03:54But on the body, these white objects here really defined the size of flies on the creature,

00:04:01which then determined the scale of this creature was very small.

00:04:05Unfortunately, someone grabbed the carcass and supposedly took it to his front yard,

00:04:10and then it ultimately vanished.

00:04:11So the only evidence we have of this creature is the photo.

00:04:18But while some researchers theorized that the so-called Montauk Monster was the product of modern science,

00:04:29ancient astronaut theorists believe the animal could be part of a long line of genetically modified creatures

00:04:37that have appeared throughout human history.

00:04:40If the Montauk Monster is, in fact, a reality, then that could mean that if we are able today

00:04:50to create some very bizarre creatures behind closed doors in labs all around the world,

00:04:57it is possible that our ancestors, especially the extraterrestrial ancestors,

00:05:03had the same capability, because in ancient texts, we have numerous references

00:05:11to monsters, bizarre beings, that have been described in great detail.

00:05:20Ancient Greek artifacts depict terrifying beasts,

00:05:24such as the Gorgon,

00:05:26the Hydra,

00:05:30and the ferocious Cerberus.

00:05:41And in Homer's epic poem, The Iliad,

00:05:44the Greek author describes a battle

00:05:46in which the hero, Bellerophon,

00:05:49slays a monster

00:05:50called the Chimera.

00:05:52The Chimera was a dreaded beast

00:05:56that wreaked havoc

00:05:57and terrorized the people of Asia Minor.

00:05:59Homer described the Chimera

00:06:01as an immortal beast

00:06:02with a lion-like head,

00:06:03a snake tail,

00:06:05and a third goat head in the middle

00:06:06that snorted bright fire.

00:06:08The notion of Chimeras and hybrids

00:06:10is one that has been

00:06:11part of the human psyche for millennium.

00:06:14I mean, when you think about things

00:06:15such as the Minotaur,

00:06:17Pegasus,

00:06:19Anubis,

00:06:20this is something that

00:06:21either we have imagined

00:06:23or have been created

00:06:24at one time.

00:06:29But did mythic monsters

00:06:31merely spring from the imagination

00:06:33of our ancestors?

00:06:35Or might they have actually existed?

00:06:41Ancient alien theorists

00:06:42believe in their existence

00:06:44and that evidence can be found

00:06:46in the relics of the past.

00:06:50To suggest that all of these creatures

00:06:54were nothing else but fantasy,

00:06:56in my opinion,

00:06:58doesn't really hold water

00:06:59because our ancestors weren't stupid.

00:07:02They depicted what they saw.

00:07:05We find these mixed hybrid beings

00:07:11all throughout Egypt

00:07:13as sphinxes,

00:07:14as griffins,

00:07:16as bizarre creatures

00:07:18that, according to the ancient Egyptian texts,

00:07:21they did exist.

00:07:24They were not a fantasy

00:07:25of our ancestors' imagination.

00:07:28Just imagine

00:07:30there is a mother spaceship

00:07:32traveling in the universe

00:07:34for centuries and centuries.

00:07:37Then,

00:07:37they find a solar system

00:07:39with the planet

00:07:40with the possibility of life

00:07:42like the Earth.

00:07:44And they observe

00:07:45on the Nile

00:07:46a crocodile,

00:07:48a living creature

00:07:49which obviously

00:07:50is resistant to the heat.

00:07:51they observe

00:07:54a lion

00:07:54with his power,

00:07:56his muscles.

00:07:58And now they start to think

00:07:59we could use

00:08:01a mixture

00:08:02of this creature

00:08:03on another planet.

00:08:05And now,

00:08:06by genetical design,

00:08:08they start

00:08:08to create

00:08:09mixed creatures.

00:08:11Some of these mixed creatures

00:08:13did exist

00:08:14in the past.

00:08:17The griffin

00:08:18was a mythological creature

00:08:19that had the body

00:08:20of a lion

00:08:20with the head

00:08:22and wings

00:08:22of an eagle.

00:08:25Well,

00:08:25now the lion

00:08:26is the king of beasts,

00:08:27the eagle

00:08:27is the king of birds,

00:08:29so the griffin

00:08:30was the king

00:08:31of all creatures.

00:08:33The creature

00:08:33is somehow

00:08:34two creatures

00:08:36put together

00:08:36in a way

00:08:37that defies

00:08:38normal sense,

00:08:39defies normal explanation.

00:08:41So the question then

00:08:42is,

00:08:42how does that happen?

00:08:44By the mid-19th century,

00:08:46scientists began

00:08:47to look at fossil records

00:08:49around the planet

00:08:50to study

00:08:51how organisms

00:08:51changed over time.

00:08:56Naturalist Charles Darwin

00:08:57theorized

00:08:58that all life forms

00:09:00share a common origin

00:09:01and have evolved

00:09:03over the centuries

00:09:04through a process

00:09:05called natural selection.

00:09:09Might the hybrid monsters

00:09:11of ancient religion

00:09:12and myth

00:09:13really have been

00:09:14the result

00:09:15of evolution?

00:09:16Darwin's theory

00:09:19of evolution

00:09:19by natural selection

00:09:20is a mechanism

00:09:22by which

00:09:22life forms

00:09:23can change

00:09:24from one

00:09:24into another.

00:09:26It relies

00:09:27on the principle

00:09:28that organisms

00:09:29that have

00:09:30certain traits

00:09:31which are mutations

00:09:32may be advantageous

00:09:34in the struggle

00:09:35for existence

00:09:36and the struggle

00:09:36for reproduction

00:09:37and those traits

00:09:40are the ones

00:09:41that will be

00:09:41perpetuated over time

00:09:43over many, many generations.

00:09:45Certain different species

00:09:47can breed

00:09:48if they are genetically close

00:09:50like the donkey

00:09:52and the horse

00:09:53like the wolf

00:09:56and the dog.

00:09:56However,

00:09:59cats and dogs

00:10:00will not mate

00:10:01because,

00:10:02first of all,

00:10:03they don't have

00:10:05the biochemical signatures

00:10:06to mate with each other

00:10:07and plus their genes

00:10:09are so different

00:10:10that the chromosomes

00:10:12just won't line up

00:10:13properly to reproduce.

00:10:15It's impossible.

00:10:18But if Darwin's theories

00:10:20on evolution

00:10:21and natural selection

00:10:22cannot explain

00:10:24the origins

00:10:24of ancient beasts

00:10:26and monsters,

00:10:27then where

00:10:29might they have come from?

00:10:31Perhaps the answer

00:10:33cannot be found

00:10:34on Earth

00:10:35but in a place

00:10:37much farther away.

00:10:49Southern Pakistan.

00:10:52In the middle

00:10:53of the Indus River

00:10:54Valley

00:10:55lie the ruins

00:10:56of Mohenjo-Daro.

00:10:59This ancient city

00:11:01whose name means

00:11:02Mound of the Dead

00:11:04was one of the largest

00:11:05urban settlements

00:11:06in the world

00:11:07in 2600 B.C.

00:11:10The ancient city

00:11:12of Mohenjo-Daro

00:11:15had what appeared

00:11:16to be streets

00:11:17that were made out

00:11:18parallel and perpendicular

00:11:19to each other

00:11:19like a modern city.

00:11:20the homes

00:11:22and the homes

00:11:22actually had

00:11:23their own toilets

00:11:25and they had

00:11:25a very sophisticated

00:11:26sewer system

00:11:27so it looks like

00:11:28a very advanced city.

00:11:32Ancient astronaut

00:11:33theorists

00:11:34have long thought

00:11:35this site

00:11:36was also the epicenter

00:11:37of a nuclear explosion

00:11:39that occurred

00:11:40more than

00:11:404,000 years ago.

00:11:42Skeletons were found

00:11:46in dead positions

00:13:28after the carnage

00:13:31a fearsome

00:13:32flying monster

00:13:33appeared in the sky.

00:13:34It was called

00:13:38In the Mahabharata

00:13:39the Garuda

00:13:40is a massive

00:13:41bird-like creature

00:13:42it's a red face

00:13:43red wings

00:13:44talon

00:13:45it's so huge

00:13:46it would block out

00:13:47the sun.

00:13:48There are stories

00:13:49that it would let

00:13:49a certain god Vishnu

00:13:50ride on him

00:13:51on occasion.

00:13:54he would show up

00:13:56descending from the sky

00:13:57he would create

00:13:58hurricane winds

00:13:59and upon his descent

00:14:01the earth would shake

00:14:03dust would flap

00:14:04in the air

00:14:05and everyone

00:14:06in the vicinity

00:14:07would be

00:14:07absolutely terrified.

00:14:11here we have

00:14:12a carving

00:14:13of Garuda

00:14:14and if we look

00:14:15at the top

00:14:16yes they look

00:14:17like feathers

00:14:18but at the same time

00:14:19they could be

00:14:20interpreted

00:14:20as big

00:14:21gigantic flames.

00:14:24According to

00:14:25Hindu mythology

00:14:26Garuda is born

00:14:27out of this

00:14:29cosmic event

00:14:31this war

00:14:32and destruction

00:14:33that happens

00:14:34at the end

00:14:34of every age.

00:14:37Could this have

00:14:38been somehow

00:14:39connected

00:14:39to exposures

00:14:41or to radiation

00:14:42being born

00:14:43within a zone

00:14:44of high radiation?

00:17:12creature which

00:17:12somehow is able

00:17:13to spit fire

00:17:14obviously is not

00:17:15any place in

00:17:16the animal kingdom

00:17:18So what we have

00:17:19here is either

00:17:19an invention

00:17:20which did

00:17:20indeed spit

00:17:21fire in which

00:17:22case we're not

00:17:23confronting a

00:17:23creature here

00:17:24but somehow a

00:17:25creation.

00:17:26Something which

00:17:27was either

00:17:27engineered by

00:17:28mankind or

00:17:29which was

00:17:29engineered by

00:17:30extraterrestrials.

00:17:32While accounts

00:17:33of strange

00:17:34creatures commonly

00:17:35referred to as

00:17:37cryptids are not

00:17:38scientifically validated

00:17:39is it possible

00:17:41that some of them

00:17:42truly exist?

00:17:45And if so

00:17:46might these beings

00:17:47have an other

00:17:48worldly connection?

00:17:51Perhaps further

00:17:52evidence can be found

00:17:53by exploring

00:17:54accounts of an

00:17:55aquatic beast

00:17:56said to reside

00:17:58in the deep

00:17:59waters of

00:18:00Loch Ness.

00:18:06We have so many

00:18:07stories that describe

00:18:08cryptids inhabiting

00:18:10bodies of water

00:18:11whether oceans,

00:18:12lakes, even

00:18:13rivers.

00:18:14Right.

00:18:14We have stories

00:18:15of the kraken and

00:18:17the hydra and the

00:18:18leviathan and in

00:18:19modern times we have

00:18:20stories of the

00:18:21Loch Ness monster.

00:18:22This long-necked

00:18:23creature that hundreds

00:18:25of people have claimed

00:18:26to have seen and even

00:18:27photographed.

00:18:28Yeah, and there really

00:18:29is no better hiding

00:18:31place than deep

00:18:32underwater.

00:18:33And we keep making

00:18:34these new discoveries

00:18:35of species in our

00:18:36oceans so who knows

00:18:38what else might be

00:18:39lurking down there.

00:18:40in March 2010, a panel

00:18:47of 41 international

00:18:48experts concluded that

00:18:51the impact of an

00:18:52asteroid that smashed

00:18:53into Earth at Mexico's

00:18:55Yucatan Peninsula 65

00:18:57million years ago probably

00:19:00triggered the global

00:19:01climate change that

00:19:02resulted in the mass

00:19:04extinction of the Earth's

00:19:05dinosaurs.

00:19:06dinosaurs, but is

00:19:08there also evidence

00:19:09that some dinosaur

00:19:11species survived?

00:19:14And if so, might they

00:19:16also have evolved?

00:19:18Paleontologists tell us

00:19:19that, oh, these things

00:19:20have been extinct for

00:19:2165 million years, yet

00:19:23they still crop up.

00:19:25And they appear to be

00:19:27prehistoric animals,

00:19:29dinosaurs literally,

00:19:30that have survived right

00:19:32down to today.

00:19:33Much like the coelacanth

00:19:34and alligators and

00:19:37sharks and turtles

00:19:38also have survived

00:19:39from those same

00:19:40prehistoric times.

00:19:42I believe that ancient

00:19:43prehistoric monsters

00:19:44are still living in

00:19:47remote areas of the

00:19:48world, either in oceans

00:19:50and lakes or jungle

00:19:52areas today.

00:19:57In the highlands of

00:19:58Scotland, the legend

00:20:00of the Loch Ness Monster

00:20:01has long been part of

00:20:03Celtic and Norse

00:20:04folklore.

00:20:06Recorded accounts of

00:20:07sightings can be traced

00:20:08to the year 565, to the

00:20:12Irish monk, St. Columba,

00:20:14a powerful leader who

00:20:16founded monasteries in both

00:20:17Ireland and Scotland.

00:20:20During his travels,

00:20:21Columba is said to have

00:20:23encountered locals

00:20:24burying a man near the

00:20:25shores of the now

00:20:26fabled Loch Ness.

00:20:28They explained to

00:20:32Father Columba that the

00:20:33man who had died had

00:20:34been swimming in the

00:20:35lake and was attacked

00:20:36by the water beast.

00:20:37Upon hearing this,

00:20:38Father Columba sent his

00:20:39own follower into the

00:20:41lake.

00:20:41When the beast came

00:20:42after this man, Father

00:20:43Columba made the sign

00:20:44of a cross and commanded

00:20:46the beast not to harm

00:20:47the man.

00:20:48The beast fled and was

00:20:49never seen harming

00:20:50another man again.

00:20:51A lot of people don't

00:20:57realise how big Loch Ness

00:20:59is.

00:20:59It's 23 miles long, a

00:21:01mile wide, and at its

00:21:03deepest point, about 800

00:21:04feet.

00:21:05And the water is very,

00:21:06very dark and dense.

00:21:08And so it is the prime

00:21:09location where, conceivably,

00:21:12they didn't need to

00:21:13surface that often.

00:21:14They would sort of

00:21:15bypass detection.

00:21:16When we're confronted

00:21:19with the Loch Ness monster

00:21:20or any kind of anomalous

00:21:22creature, the question

00:21:24really is, where does it

00:21:25come from?

00:21:26Is it a remnant of the

00:21:29dinosaur age, or is it

00:21:30something which is out of

00:21:32this world?

00:21:33We know that, for example,

00:21:34St Columba definitely felt

00:21:36that the lake was sacred

00:21:37and that there was

00:21:38something present there

00:21:39which had a religious

00:21:41connotation, which is why

00:21:42he went to that place to

00:21:44begin with.

00:21:44The intriguing thing is

00:21:46that there actually have

00:21:47been a significant number

00:21:49of UFO sightings over the

00:21:51Loch itself, of strange,

00:21:53brightly lit objects

00:21:54hovering over the water

00:21:55late at night, which

00:21:56clearly aren't helicopters

00:21:57or aircraft or meteorites

00:21:59or anything like that at

00:22:00all.

00:22:01So, in other words,

00:22:02Loch Ness is a weird and

00:22:03spooky place.

00:22:07Could the so-called sea

00:22:09monsters of Loch Ness

00:22:11possibly be descendants of

00:22:13ancient dinosaurs?

00:22:14Or might it be of another,

00:22:19perhaps, extraterrestrial

00:22:21origin?

00:22:22And if so, what might this

00:22:24say about other mythical

00:22:26sea beasts, like the

00:22:27seven-headed Sumerian sea

00:22:29monster, the Leviathan?

00:22:30The Leviathan is sometimes

00:22:32described as a serpent or a

00:22:34crocodile or a dragon, but it

00:22:36lurks.

00:22:37It is the gatekeeper to a

00:22:39portal to hell.

00:22:40And this gateway to hell is

00:22:42apparently deep in the ocean,

00:22:43and the Leviathan is there

00:22:45forever lurking.

00:22:46In Greek myths, the Hydra was described as an ancient sea serpent with many heads.

00:22:56It was said to be a descendant of the Earth goddess, Gaia.

00:23:00Hercules was sent to kill the Hydra, but it was terribly difficult.

00:23:07He would slice off the head, and two heads would form.

00:23:12He had to ask help from his nephew, and his nephew had a brilliant idea.

00:23:16Bring a torch.

00:23:18Fire might keep the heads from forming, so Hercules would bash off one of the heads,

00:23:22and his nephew would essentially cauterize the neck so that another one wouldn't form.

00:23:26And in this way, the Hydra was finally defeated.

00:23:30In the case of a Hydra, we have something which has several heads, which is once again

00:23:35a category of a creature which you would expect not to see.

00:23:39So we are either confronted here with something which was genetically engineered or which genetically

00:23:44went wrong, but clearly it was of such importance that it was adhered to in mythology,

00:23:50where it attained a status over the years, over the centuries, up until this moment in time.

00:24:01According to Scandinavian legend, the Kraken are legendary sea monsters of gargantuan size,

00:24:08and are said to have roamed the seas off the coasts of Norway and Iceland.

00:24:13This fearsome beast was infamous for its attacks on sailing ships.

00:24:18The danger was not only being attacked by the Kraken, they would come up to the surface

00:24:24and were enormous, the size of small islands, so you could have a collision with a Kraken

00:24:29that wasn't even out to attack you.

00:24:31Another great danger was that if it submerged suddenly, it formed such a great whirlpool that

00:24:36it could pull a ship under.

00:24:37Could such legendary sea monsters have actually existed?

00:24:47Might they have escaped extinction in the safety of cold, deep waters?

00:24:54Ancient astronaut theorists say yes, and they suggest that in addition to oceans and lakes,

00:25:01there is evidence that many cryptids find refuge in the world's densest forest and highest mountains.

00:25:13You can't really talk about cryptids without mentioning Bigfoot.

00:25:17And I spent a lot of time with Bigfoot hunters back in 2014 for my show In Search of Aliens.

00:25:23And I'll tell you, those people were convinced that they did encounter this creature.

00:25:29You know, what's intriguing is that people that report witnessing Bigfoot often see him

00:25:33right after a UFO sighting or even at the exact same time.

00:25:38Right, and there are reports of Bigfoot disappearing in a sudden flash of light.

00:25:43So, you know, you have to wonder, is there an extraterrestrial connection?

00:25:47Mount Everest, November 9th, 1951.

00:25:59On the Menloong Glacier, at an altitude of 18,000 feet,

00:26:05British explorers Eric Shipton and Michael Ward came across a mile-long trail of unusual footprints.

00:26:12Not expecting to find humans in this remote corner of the mountain,

00:26:20the climbers examined the prints to determine what made them.

00:26:26To their surprise, the footprints were in the shape of a large, human-like foot,

00:26:32one roughly twice the normal size.

00:26:35The footprints suggest that, in fact, we're dealing with a large primate,

00:26:40one that shares with us not only the habit of walking on two legs,

00:26:44but has some superficial resemblance in its foot to our footprints,

00:26:49only a much larger scale,

00:26:51but differ from the other great apes in the lack of a divergent big toe,

00:26:55suggesting they're adapted to a wholly terrestrial environment living on the ground.

00:27:03Photographs brought back from the expedition

00:27:05launched a media sensation

00:27:07and marked the beginning of the Bigfoot phenomena.

00:27:14But where do these giant footprints come from?

00:27:18Could they be a hoax?

00:27:20Or is there some mysterious unknown creature

00:27:23living in the remote wilderness?

00:27:25According to the histories and myths of the Himalayan region,

00:27:33one such ape-like creature is the yeti,

00:27:37more commonly known as the Abominable Snowman.

00:27:41The notorious Himalayan yeti,

00:27:45it's often described as being less than six feet in height,

00:27:49much more aggressive when encountered.

00:27:51All of these sightings really make for a creature

00:27:55which seems to be hiding from us.

00:27:58It's a creature which is hiding in plain sight.

00:28:01And obviously the direct evidence comes in the form of its footprints,

00:28:04hence why it's quite often referred to as Bigfoot.

00:28:08People often ask,

00:28:10why don't we catch Bigfoot?

00:28:11Bigfoot could be some sort of supernatural creature,

00:28:13like a phantom, you know.

00:28:15If Bigfoot is, however, a flesh-and-blood animal,

00:28:18then I would have to say their numbers would have to be few and far between.

00:28:24Since the Mount Everest discovery,

00:28:26there have been numerous sightings of large ape-like creatures on every continent,

00:28:31many clustered in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States,

00:28:36including Mount Shasta in Northern California.

00:28:39In 1979, I was up on the side of Mount Shasta on the foothills,

00:28:46trying to get to the base of the mountain.

00:28:49It was so dense and so tough.

00:28:52As we're standing there, we heard this crashing sound.

00:28:58Simultaneously, we smelled this awful smell.

00:29:01I mean, it was foul.

00:29:03But what was horrifying was whatever it was,

00:29:05was coming at us through this impenetrable hedge.

00:29:08And then we heard the most blood-curdling combination of us.

00:29:13Elephant trumpeting, a lion roaring.

00:29:17And it was so loud, it bounced off the foothills two miles away.

00:29:28That was probably the most terrified I've ever been in my life.

00:29:31And the next thing I knew, we were headed down the mountain,

00:29:33almost skidding off corners.

00:29:34I had heard from sheriffs about a rancher in Montana

00:29:43who had gone out to go hunting,

00:29:45comes around a ridge,

00:29:47has an eight-foot-tall, reddish-brown,

00:29:50primate-looking, long-haired creature

00:29:53standing right in front of him,

00:29:56picks up a .30-06 and just fires.

00:30:01And the creature disappeared in a flash of light.

00:30:05If the Sasquatch, when a bullet is shot at it,

00:30:10disappears in a flash of light,

00:30:12then what in the world are we dealing with,

00:30:14and what do they want?

00:30:17Why is the creature known as Bigfoot

00:30:20so difficult to capture or kill?

00:30:23Could it be, as ancient astronaut theorists contend,

00:30:27that the creature's ghost-like abilities

00:30:29are the result of its otherworldly origin?

00:30:32Many Sasquatch researchers have noted that

00:30:38there's a connection between UFO activity

00:30:41and Bigfoot activity.

00:30:44In fact, Bigfoot has been seen

00:30:46coming out of some UFO flying saucer craft.

00:30:51You have to wonder if somehow Bigfoot himself

00:30:55isn't some kind of extraterrestrial.

00:31:01Many of the North American Indian tribes

00:31:04have legends and mythological tales

00:31:06about these Sasquatch.

00:31:08The Anasazi and various other Indian cultures

00:31:10look at these as a ghost creature,

00:31:13or something that it's impossible to capture,

00:31:16close to impossible to see,

00:31:17but they do know that they exist.

00:31:24Although mainstream scientists

00:31:26consider the mysterious beast

00:31:28as no more than a modern-day myth,

00:31:31the number of Bigfoot sightings

00:31:33reported and photographed

00:31:35continues to steadily increase.

00:31:37Specifically, what you get

00:31:41is obviously Bigfeet,

00:31:42you get a hairy creature,

00:31:44you get a very specific smell,

00:31:46very harsh smell,

00:31:48and it is also said that

00:31:49the sound which Bigfoot makes

00:31:51is kind of whistling.

00:31:56So all of these components

00:31:57really make for a typical Bigfoot sighting,

00:32:00and they are concise across the board.

00:32:02They seem to be very elusive,

00:32:06very retiring and retreating.

00:32:08Aggressive behaviors

00:32:09are very rarely reported.

00:32:11The witness sees the creature

00:32:13and both go in opposite directions

00:32:16with no interaction whatsoever.

00:32:20They range in size

00:32:22from perhaps 6 feet to 10 feet tall.

00:32:25Coloration, the most common description

00:32:28is of a dark brown fur.

00:32:30Their names vary from the location,

00:32:33but you have, of course, in America,

00:32:36Bigfoot, otherwise known as Sasquatch

00:32:38in the Pacific Northwest.

00:32:40Down in Florida,

00:32:41he's known as the Skunk Ape.

00:32:43Down in Australia,

00:32:44we have the Yaoi.

00:32:48But if a Bigfoot creature

00:32:50really does exist,

00:32:52how has it remained so elusive?

00:32:58Researchers point out

00:32:59that accounts of giant,

00:33:01human-like beasts

00:33:02date back thousands of years.

00:33:04Throughout ancient history,

00:33:06we have a number of legends

00:33:08about giants,

00:33:09about wild men,

00:33:10about hairy beasts

00:33:11that live at the edge of civilization.

00:33:14These were humans,

00:33:15you know, people,

00:33:16who were, however, wild.

00:33:18They were hairy,

00:33:19they didn't wear clothes,

00:33:20they lived in the woods,

00:33:21and yet, in other ways,

00:33:23they had special powers.

00:33:25Is it possible

00:33:28that the supernatural creatures

00:33:29of Native American myths

00:33:31are, in fact,

00:33:33descriptions of encounters

00:33:34with Bigfoot

00:34:28to do with the divine

00:34:30or with the spiritual

00:34:31because those gods

00:34:32were not gods at all.

00:36:34who allegedly

00:36:37was a giant.

00:36:39It is possible

00:36:40that Enkidu,

00:36:43this wild,

00:36:45hairy beast,

00:36:46this giant,

00:36:47could have been

00:36:48of extraterrestrial origin,

00:36:51because that is

00:36:53what the ancient

00:36:54Sumerian texts

00:36:54are saying.

00:36:57Enkidu is described

00:36:58in the epic

00:36:59of Gilgamesh

00:37:00as being

00:37:02a hairy,

00:37:03man-like monster

00:37:05with great strength.

00:37:08And when you read

00:37:14of Bigfoot Sasquatch.

00:37:19first-fashioned being

00:37:24their genetic marker

00:37:27that would be

00:37:27their slave,

00:37:28and they called

00:37:29this being

00:38:47this does suggest

00:38:51very, very prevalent

00:38:52and widespread

00:38:53across the world.

00:38:57were common

00:38:58in the ancient world,

00:38:59but similar stories

00:39:02emerged much later

00:39:03with Viking explorer

00:39:05Leif Erikson,

00:39:06who in the 10th century AD

00:39:08wrote of horrible,

00:39:10ugly, hairy creatures

00:39:12with dark eyes.

00:39:16Leif Erikson was familiar

00:39:17with the different types

00:39:18of tribes

00:39:19of an indigenous people.

00:39:21Now, he spoke very specifically

00:39:22about these large,

00:39:24hairy creatures

00:39:24with dark eyes

00:39:25and a very specific scent

00:39:27that they had

00:39:28that stood out

00:39:29from all the other cultures

00:39:30that they interacted with

00:39:31on their travels

00:39:32into the new world.

00:39:34Could these have been

00:39:36the Sasquatch or Yeti

00:39:37that we speak of today?

00:39:38Very possibly.

00:39:42But could all these

00:39:43similar accounts

00:39:44found throughout history

00:39:45and around the world

00:39:47be proof that Bigfoot

00:39:49is more than just myth?

00:39:54And is there any evidence

00:40:32as Ghost Light Road,

00:40:35because people see

00:40:36these weird balls

00:40:38flying through the woods.

00:40:41Coincidentally,

00:40:44huge numbers

00:40:45of Bigfoot-type reports

00:41:02some sort of extra abilities

00:41:27up in Snohomish, Washington,

00:41:29famous for the Sasquatch

00:41:31or Bigfoot sightings,

00:41:33who said,

00:41:36I was out

00:41:37at my father's place,

00:41:40and I hear a sound

00:41:42in the trees

00:41:43as if wind

00:41:44has come in.

00:41:46With the trees

00:41:47starting to move

00:41:48comes the silver disc,

00:41:50and then he sees

00:41:53a beam

00:41:54comes down

00:41:55to the ground.

00:41:59shaggy,

00:42:00primate looking,

00:42:02it looked like a gorilla.

00:42:03Comes down

00:42:04to the bottom,

00:42:06and the tall creature

00:42:09as if he doesn't exist.

00:42:15are reported

00:42:27with extraterrestrial beings,

00:43:03there are researchers

00:43:05that Bigfoot is,

00:43:15as part of a research project.

00:45:05behind him.

00:45:06He saw a strange

00:45:07seven-foot-tall creature

00:45:09with red glowing eyes

00:45:11running towards him.

00:45:14Davis started

00:45:15to drive away

00:45:16but the creature

00:45:17caught up with him

00:45:18and jumped

00:45:19on the roof

00:45:19of the car.

00:45:23to throw the creature off,

00:46:14a number of other witnesses

00:46:17had seen the lizard man.

00:46:28what he said

00:46:29was a lizard man

00:46:31cross his grassy runway

01:13:40to drag it

01:13:40out of the corral.

01:13:43a .357 out of the truck

01:13:44and brings it over.

01:13:46Dad pops a shot

01:13:47into this wolf.

01:13:49No yelp,

01:13:50no blood,

01:13:50no anything.

01:13:54Now this is a fourth shot

01:13:56and then a fifth shot

01:13:58goes right into the chest.
