Maria Farmer, an artist whose warnings about Jeffrey Epstein were ignored for more than three decades, said Friday that she finally felt vindicated after the department of justice released her 1996 complaint under the epstein files transparency act. The report, which had remained buried for years, details shocking allegations that Epstein stole photographs of her 12 and 16-year-old sisters and may have sold them to others.

The farmer's lawyer confirmed to CNN that she was the person who filed the complaint. According to the report, Epstein even asked farmers to take photos of “young girls at swimming pools” and threatened to “burn her house down” if she told anyone about the images. The complaint highlights the ways in which Epstein manipulated and intimidated those around him to cover up his abusive behavior.

00:00Maria Farmer, an artist whose warnings about Jeffrey Epstein were ignored for more than
00:23three decades, said Friday that she finally felt vindicated after the Department of Justice
00:28released her 1996 complaint under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
00:35The report, which had remained buried for years, details shocking allegations that Epstein
00:41stole photographs of her 12- and 16-year-old sisters and may have sold them to others.
00:49Farmer's lawyer confirmed to CNN that she was the person who filed the complaint.
00:55According to the report, Epstein even asked Farmer to take photos of young girls at swimming
01:00pools and threatened to burn her house down if she told anyone about the images.
01:07The complaint highlights the ways in which Epstein manipulated and intimidated those around him
01:12to cover up his abusive behavior.
01:15Farmer, who was a professional artist at the time, said she had repeatedly tried to alert
01:21authorities about Epstein's misconduct, but the FBI failed to act.
01:26I've waited 30 years.
01:28I can't believe it.
01:29They can't call me a liar anymore, she said, reflecting on the decades of frustration and
01:34silence.
01:37She and her sister later filed separate lawsuits against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2019,
01:43which were ultimately resolved through a settlement with Epstein's estate.
01:47Farmer also sued the DOJ in July, claiming that the Clinton administration FBI chose to
01:53do absolutely nothing with her complaint in 1996, allowing Epstein to continue victimizing
01:59women for years afterward.
02:02Farmer's revelations are part of a massive release of tens of thousands of documents
02:08related to Epstein and Maxwell.
02:10While some survivors have criticized the release for redactions and missing material, Farmer
02:15said seeing her complaint finally made public was a moment of recognition and a step toward
02:20justice.
02:23For decades, I felt ignored and silenced.
02:26Now, at least, my story is out there, and people can see the truth.
