00:00Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas,
00:05the search for Hallmark's next holiday-leading man
00:07was in full swing.
00:09We better get out of the way.
00:10Oh.
00:11In the festive face-off, they had to slay the competition.
00:15Yo, you're the guy!
00:16Then, in the star quality challenge...
00:18I'm here!
00:19...they posed as reindeer mid-flight
00:21for a picture-perfect holiday shot.
00:23There it is, there it is!
00:24Several soared above the rest.
00:26Oh, right there, right there!
00:27Mommy likes!
00:28But it was Davey who landed the perfect shot.
00:31Davey, congratulations, buddy!
00:33Others...
00:34Whoa! Hey, uh-oh!
00:35...didn't quite get off the ground.
00:37I'm kind of like a superhero right now, you know what I mean?
00:39And Drake's holiday dream came to an end.
00:42Eight leading men remain as we continue the search
00:45to find Mr. Christmas.
00:52Robbie!
00:53Good morning, guys!
00:54Robbie!
00:55What's up? I needed a few extra winks this morning.
00:57Gotta get your sleep.
00:59It's the most important thing.
01:00Yeah.
01:01Yeah.
01:02Well, how are you guys feeling after last night's elimination?
01:04Not safe.
01:05I was kind of at the top of the pack for the first few challenges.
01:09It can turn on its head real quick.
01:11You do take bold choices.
01:12You've done that from the very beginning.
01:14Being able to think outside of the box and try something bold.
01:17Yeah.
01:18That doesn't...
01:19That's never my first choice.
01:20So it's really cool to see you doing that.
01:22Thanks, man.
01:23And I'm inspired by it.
01:24So thank you.
01:25I went from winning pretty much everything so far
01:28to almost on the chopping block.
01:31To be that low, it's nerve-wracking.
01:35You just truly never know.
01:36Hey!
01:37Hey!
01:38What's up?
01:39Fellas.
01:40Gang's all here, huh?
01:41The Elite Eight, gentlemen.
01:42Oh, yeah. This is it.
01:43Oh, wow.
01:44It's getting real.
01:45Being here with you guys is a big win.
01:46It's cool to have you guys, you know, here and kind of feel like you're on my team.
01:50Same.
01:51Same here, man.
01:52I've been searching for so long for people that I resonate with and that I can connect with,
01:55and I've become so close with the guys that are here.
01:59I'm really glad that I've made these lifelong friends.
02:04Look at this brotherhood.
02:06Look at this group of awesome, talented gentlemen.
02:08It's like, look around at these faces.
02:10One of us is gonna win.
02:11Look to your left.
02:12Right here.
02:13That's true.
02:14Look to your left.
02:16On the flip side, we're all gonna lose except for one.
02:19Yeah.
02:20But we got another challenge.
02:22I'm excited for the festive face-off.
02:24You're just, you're excited for the festive face-off because you won the last one.
02:27It's like, let's do this.
02:30Oh!
02:31I've given it my all in all of the challenges, and I haven't won a festive face-off yet.
02:38The bonus that you get from those is amazing, so I'm just gonna try to get in there and
02:43finally win one of these festive face-offs.
02:45What?
02:46Hey guys, welcome back to the workshop.
02:48Eight of you are standing strong in the competition, but only one of you will walk out of here with
02:53a leading role in a Hallmark holiday movie and be crowned Mr. Christmas.
02:58All right.
03:00One of the best parts about Christmas are the baked goods.
03:03Every season, you can count on sweet shortbread, my favorite, the festive fruitcake,
03:08and the holiday headliner, the gingerbread house.
03:13Yeah!
03:14In this festive face-off, each of you will be given a cookie foundation to build your magical
03:19manner.
03:20Don't get me wrong.
03:21I love my cookies, but building a gingerbread house, there's a lot of fine little details
03:27in there.
03:28When your gingerbread house is done, you will have to put it on the table to make a gingerbread
03:32village.
03:33Woo!
03:34Okay.
03:35I actually have some experience building gingerbread houses, so watch out, guys.
03:39I'm coming for y'all.
03:41We want you to create a house that reflects you and your holiday spirit.
03:45Let's find out something new about you by looking at your gingerbread house.
03:49You will not only be judged by the quality of your craft, but also the story behind your
03:54house.
03:55The holiday homestead that stands out the most, wins, and gets an advantage going into the
04:00Star Quality Challenge.
04:01All right, boys, are you ready to build some sweet memories?
04:08Yeah!
04:09Let's do it.
04:10You have 35 minutes to complete your frosty fortress.
04:14Ready, set, build!
04:19Oh, shoot, I got this here.
04:20Sorry.
04:21It's okay.
04:22All right, here we go.
04:23Oh, my gosh.
04:24Have you ever built any red houses, man?
04:26Not since elementary school, actually.
04:29We have to go with the red licorice first.
04:31My mom used to get this when we would go on, like, trips, especially when we go to see
04:35family for, like, Christmas time.
04:37So, what are you doing?
04:38Why'd you go with the red licorice?
04:40I'm making a red schoolhouse.
04:42Oh!
04:43Christmas, for me, is all about your loved ones and your chosen family.
04:46I had a drama mentor when I was in high school, and I want to make this as an homage
04:51to him.
04:52You know, the teachers, like, have, like, such a huge part on your life.
04:55Yeah, no, that's a great idea.
04:56So, for this challenge, the first thing I think of is my girlfriend.
05:00She absolutely loves gingerbread houses.
05:02She'll buy them.
05:03She'll build them.
05:04She's bringing the house to life, you know?
05:05Christmas tree in the front, me and my girlfriend in the front.
05:09I want to go with something that feels like the house that I grew up in.
05:14I knew right off the bat my gingerbread house had to be a white Christmas.
05:17Seeing these lights here makes me think of putting up Christmas lights.
05:20It was mostly my dad, actually, growing up, but when we got old enough, that was our holiday chore,
05:25putting up Christmas lights with my brothers.
05:27Now, being a dad, last year was the first year I put Christmas lights up on my own house,
05:31and I can't wait to continue that tradition with my own son.
05:34Are you going to teach Soto about Santa?
05:37For sure.
05:38How long are you going to take it?
05:39Until he's in high school.
05:41Everyone here is different, has a different background, and has a different story.
05:47I wanted to add a lot of color to my gingerbread house.
05:50When I was young, cereal was one thing I always ate.
05:53I'm putting cereals in the roof, little by little, but it's taking a long time.
05:59The thing is, would I be able to finish the roof?
06:02Okay, you're bringing out the popcorn.
06:04See what you can do with that.
06:06So long. Why is this so long?
06:07Oh, we have scissors, Craig.
06:08What is that? That's insane.
06:10Think 1990s thing.
06:12Boombox?
06:13Little boombox.
06:14Okay, okay, okay.
06:15Boombox.
06:16I like that.
06:17Five minutes left.
06:18How's it going, Angel?
06:20Remember, you have to have your house on this table to create a village when the time is up.
06:28I'm feeling some pressure, I'm not going to lie here, guys.
06:30Yes, yeah.
06:31All right, I'm going to go ahead and move my gingerbread house to the village.
06:35All right, we've got one house coming over to the village.
06:38I've spent so much time on these lights, I hope it pays off.
06:42One minute left.
06:43All of the houses have to create the village or it doesn't count.
06:47Why is this moving?
06:48I'm on the move.
06:49Rustin, behind you.
06:50All right.
06:51We've got Davey on the move.
06:52At this point, I have to get this house finished and get it on the table.
06:55All right, this is the final push.
06:57Gabe has moved.
06:58We've got Ravi's moving.
06:59Whatever side you want to face front, face front.
07:01Looking at the other gingerbread houses, I feel like I didn't do enough.
07:05Everybody else's house is so elaborate.
07:08Wherever you want to go.
07:09Looks like we're losing candy left and right.
07:11Five, four, three, two, one.
07:16Put down the frosting, your time's up.
07:19That was insane.
07:20That was insane.
07:21These look awesome.
07:23Before we start checking if your gingerbread houses are up to code, I need to bring out a special guest judge for this one.
07:31She's the executive editor at People and an expert in all things Hallmark, Brianne Heldman.
07:37Hi, guys.
07:41So good to see you.
07:43Hi.
07:44Welcome, Brianne.
07:45It is so good to be here.
07:46You bring me into rooms with all of the best looking men.
07:49You know, it's a tough day at work.
07:50This is a really hard day at work.
07:51So, today, we're looking for the guy that built their gingerbread house with love, a personal story, and Christmas spirit.
07:58So, Frank Lloyd, Mr. Right Now.
08:00Yeah.
08:01Oh!
08:02Okay.
08:04Davey, tell us about your gingerbread house.
08:06We put lights on the house every year, and there are gingerbread people around my house, representing my mom, my dad, my two brothers and I.
08:13You made the gingerbread house a home.
08:15I did.
08:16Great job.
08:18Thanks.
08:19The snow reminds me when I moved to the United States.
08:22I'd never seen snow in my life.
08:24The cereal on the side of the roof just reminds me when my mom had multiple jobs.
08:30She's a single mother.
08:31She worked really hard to make sure my sister and I have a roof over our heads and presents for Christmas.
08:39So, she left me at home by myself, and I just ate a bunch of cereal.
08:44When I was running out of time, towards the end, I don't know if you can see, it looks different from the beginning.
08:50Oh, we saw.
08:51We saw you throwing the snow on there.
08:53Angel, great job.
08:55Robbie.
08:56So, I wanted to make this schoolhouse.
08:58In front, there are two gingerbread men, and that is me and my drama mentor.
09:04I think that we're such a product of our teachers.
09:06They shape who we are today, and so I really wanted to celebrate him.
09:10He taught me so much about the craft of acting.
09:13He also had a husband, and so it was the first role model that I met that had a beautiful life,
09:19and just really shaped the life that I wanted as a gay man moving forward, and I'm really grateful for him.
09:24Robbie, well done.
09:26Rustin, there is so much going on in this gingerbread house.
09:29Half of a roof is gone.
09:31What village is complete without a theater?
09:34So, if you look at the very back, there's a stage built in there.
09:37Oh my God, there is.
09:38And rows of audience members that are watching.
09:40My whole family was in a Christian worship band, and I had the worst stage fright.
09:45And so, my dad, he built a stage in our house so that we could practice what it was like to perform for an audience,
09:52so that we could gain more confidence.
09:53My dad asked me if I wanted him to build a tree house, and I was like,
09:57no, can you build a stage in the basement?
09:59Which is what he did.
10:01And when parents understand that they have a child that performs, and they just embrace it,
10:06it helps those kids shine so much.
10:09And I can see it in you.
10:13Logan, tell us a bit about your gingerbread house.
10:16The fireplace when I was a kid, being by a warm fireside opening presents,
10:21I don't know, I could just picture it every time I think about Christmas.
10:24Love it.
10:25That is so sweet.
10:26And I do love the ice cream cone as the chimney.
10:28That's really clever.
10:31Gabriel, so my house is a mix between a lot of memories from childhood.
10:34The seashells on the roof.
10:36We used to go to Newport every Christmas, and it was a really good part of my childhood.
10:41My girlfriend, Andrea, she just had our first child, Jory.
10:46I just remember Christmases being the best time ever, and I want that for my daughter.
10:51So sweet.
10:52Craig, what is happening here, Craig?
10:56I want the story.
10:57I need to know.
10:58Kick it.
10:59Now, I'm not a rapper, per se.
11:01I just have the ability to rap.
11:03It's a 1990s gingerbread house.
11:05Ten guys, Jonathan and Brienne in a blouse.
11:08You already know I'm here for the win.
11:10Let's go three for three and do this again.
11:13Nice.
11:14Okay.
11:15You got dinner and a show, Brienne.
11:18Wow, I'm so flattered.
11:20I mean, house and blouse.
11:22Thank God she wore a blouse.
11:23So good.
11:24This is a 1990s gingerbread house.
11:26I was born in 91, and for me, Christmas is all about being a kid.
11:30You'll notice a cartoon taking place.
11:32What is this?
11:33Hand that to Brienne, if you don't mind.
11:34Hand that to Brienne, okay.
11:35And Jonathan, take the other one.
11:36Okay.
11:37So this was my favorite game in the 90s.
11:40Jonathan.
11:41And Brienne.
11:42Brienne, are you home?
11:43Over.
11:44I am home.
11:45Over.
11:46What are you making for Christmas dinner?
11:47I don't cook.
11:49Really great presentation.
11:51This was so creative.
11:53Marcus.
11:54My girlfriend loves gingerbread houses.
11:56So right there at the front, we have me and my girlfriend at the house, greeting everybody
12:00with our Christmas tree.
12:01We have a horse symbolizing like a stable.
12:03My girlfriend loves animals.
12:05That's for her.
12:06And on the other side, we have stuff for my girlfriend's lake house, which is actually
12:09the first time I told my girlfriend that I loved her.
12:11Your girlfriend rides horses.
12:13She loves horses, yes.
12:14Do you love horses?
12:15You know, I've actually never ridden a horse.
12:18But then you have a horse on your display to show your girlfriend, and then you have
12:22the lake house part of it from your girlfriend's lake house.
12:24Yeah.
12:25I want to know Marcus.
12:26Yeah.
12:27We got some crafters in this group.
12:29Yeah.
12:30Well done, boys.
12:31Really impressive.
12:32Thank you so much for opening up and sharing your personal stories with us.
12:35I was surprised at the level of detail and craftsmanship some of the other guys were able
12:39to implement into their gingerbread house.
12:41But overall, I think my presentation went well.
12:43The winner of this festive face-off, who's at the top of the nice list, is...
12:48Robbie, congratulations.
12:49Robbie, that's two festive face-offs in a row.
13:01It feels so good.
13:02We all are here because of the people that shaped us.
13:04And to get to do something that honors them, it just, like, means the world.
13:08I'm so thrilled.
13:09Robbie, you're gonna receive an advantage in the star quality challenge.
13:11Ooh.
13:12Yes.
13:13Yes.
13:14It'll be revealed later.
13:15Now go hang out in the holiday house where the doors actually work.
13:19Get out of here, you crazy kids.
13:20Good job.
13:21So nice to meet you.
13:22Yeah.
13:23Coming up, welcome, Ally Sweeney.
13:26I guess I'm learning to ride a horse today.
13:30Whoa.
13:31And just swing on up.
13:33Ah.
13:34We missed a lot of the lines.
13:38Robbie with the streak.
13:40That was an impressive house, man.
13:41Yeah, it really was.
13:42Yeah.
13:43Yeah.
13:44It looked like you had days to do it.
13:45It was so good.
13:46You ever consider going into, like, contracting or home building?
13:49Um, absolutely not, because that house is gonna fall down with one little push.
13:55Or bite.
13:56Or bite.
13:57Yeah.
13:58I like how a lot of these challenges are kind of shedding light on a lot of our personalities,
14:02where we come from, how we were raised.
14:04Angel, it was really nice hearing about your mom and all the stories you told about her.
14:08Just having that cereal represented joy.
14:11I understand that, yeah, yeah, because I had a single mom as well.
14:14She was a nurse, so I definitely understand that.
14:17Wow.
14:18My mom means everything to me.
14:19I mean, she raised me, she took care of me.
14:21About a month and a half ago, my mom found out that she does have cancer in her lungs.
14:26It's hard to talk about, but she was very supportive of me, like, go do it.
14:30I definitely want to make my mom as proud as possible.
14:33You're such a great guy, Marcus.
14:35Every day is so topsy-turvy, and they're all so different, and it's anybody's game.
14:40I haven't won anything.
14:41I've been on, like, second, third gear.
14:44I haven't bring fourth, fifth, and sixth.
14:46So I feel like maybe it's time to be on the highway and just go fast as you can.
14:52Hit the nuts.
14:53Hit the nuts.
14:54Hit the nuts.
14:58Come on in, boys!
14:59Come on, Cowboys!
15:00Come on, Cowboys!
15:01Yeah!
15:02O-M-G.
15:05What are we about to do?
15:07This is exciting.
15:08I love Westerns.
15:09Howdy, boys!
15:10This is a cowboy Christmas.
15:13Woo-hoo!
15:14Yeah!
15:15Nice.
15:16Hallmark Christmas movies are known for blending charm, romance, and holiday magic.
15:22And this star-quality challenge will be no different.
15:25In this scene, you'll be working with two co-stars.
15:28The first one is a Hallmark megastar.
15:31And she just marked her 30th film with Hallmark.
15:35Please welcome, Ally Sweeney.
15:40Ally Sweeney is incredible.
15:42I am so, so, so excited.
15:45Howdy.
15:46Hello.
15:47Hi.
15:48And this is your other co-star, Belle the Horse.
15:52Hello, Belle.
15:54In this challenge, you're gonna have to maneuver your horse as you create chemistry with your leading lady.
16:00Wow.
16:01I guess I'm learning to ride a horse today.
16:03Horses like small children might throw a curveball at you, and you have to play that in the scene.
16:07Don't let it throw you.
16:09I have zero experience on a horse.
16:12My mom and my grandma were both bucked off a horse, which doesn't necessarily give me a lot of confidence.
16:17Here's what we're gonna be looking for.
16:19Your connection with your leading lady.
16:21Your ability to work with animals.
16:22And as always, star quality.
16:25But before we saddle up, Robbie, because you were at the top of the nice list in the festive face-off, you will get an extra five minutes with your horse and Ally.
16:35Oh.
16:36Okay.
16:37I'll take it.
16:38Thank you very much.
16:39All right, partners.
16:41Here are your scripts.
16:42Go inside.
16:43Get changed.
16:44You'll be able to meet your horse co-star before we roll.
16:47Woo.
16:48Let's go.
16:49Hey, give us a horse.
16:50Hey, where are Logan?
16:51I got him.
16:52I'm gonna see if I still got him.
16:53Go lasso him.
16:54Go get him, Marissa.
16:55Go get him.
16:56Run, boys.
16:57Run.
16:58You wanna know the catch?
16:59You wanna know the catch?
17:00The scene is about the first date.
17:03So, there's some flirtatiousness, and that's easy for me.
17:07I'm also a bartender.
17:10So, part of being a bartender, you flirt.
17:12Get some extra tips here and there.
17:15So, it's gonna be fun.
17:21I am unbelievably excited.
17:24I love horses.
17:25I've ridden horses and ponies, and I'm really excited to bring that experience
17:29to this scene.
17:30Oh, with that, with that, with that.
17:32So, I can do horseback riding.
17:35I'm very proud of that.
17:40It's hard not to be a little bit scared.
17:43Right here.
17:44I take a deep breath, try to calm my nerves, do whatever I can to slow my heart rate down,
17:49because I know that being nervous is only gonna hold me back.
17:52Take your leg over my back.
17:53Oh.
17:54Nice.
17:55Hey.
17:56Okay, great.
17:57Hey, Robbie.
17:58So nice to meet you.
17:59So nice to meet you.
18:00How do you feel about this?
18:01Good.
18:02I've ridden horses, but not in a long time.
18:03Okay, okay, yeah, sure.
18:04So, I think it, hopefully it is like riding a bike.
18:06Yeah.
18:07So, I'm ready for my advantage.
18:08That time is huge.
18:10I think if I say, let's see what else you got, and I can kind of gesture for you to go.
18:15Okay.
18:16Let's see what else you got.
18:17Because then you can kind of go off first.
18:18Yeah.
18:19I feel, you know, your character would, like, lead the way or not.
18:23Or, you know, I think we're gonna have to discover it.
18:25Yeah.
18:26And giving that audience the inside glimpse as to, like, what you're thinking without me looking at you is a huge, important moment on screen.
18:34I love that.
18:35Thank you for that.
18:36Everybody set!
18:37There's no room for, like, not doing well at this point.
18:40Settle!
18:41This could be a way to stretch myself and also show the judges a different side of me.
18:46Three, two, one, action!
18:49Wow.
18:50A Christmas horseback ride.
18:52What a great idea.
18:53Thanks for the invite.
18:54I mean, I'm a little nervous.
18:56It's been a long time since I've ridden.
18:58I thought we'd do a little refresh around the training ring before we go out on the walk.
19:01Sound good?
19:02Yeah.
19:03Perfect.
19:04Now, we always mount from the left, and you want to grab the reins, throw them over the horse's head.
19:09Like that.
19:10You put your foot in the stirrup, and just swing on up.
19:15Ah!
19:16She looks relaxed.
19:17Foot in the stirrup, and swing.
19:20Look at that.
19:22You're an old pro.
19:23Well, it's like riding a bike, I guess.
19:26This character that I'm playing, he needs to find out if she's as into me as I am into her.
19:31Wow.
19:32The horses listen to you so well.
19:34How long have you been riding?
19:35I started when, uh, I was a kid.
19:38My grandparents rode, so I guess you could say it's in my blood.
19:41We've got a real-life cowboy on our hands.
19:44So, cowboy, your grandparents taught you to ride.
19:47You must have a good relationship with your family.
19:49I guess that's right.
19:50Horses like you, so you have good energy.
19:53Can't argue with that.
19:55And you planned this whole date, so you must be a gentleman.
19:59It means I just have one question.
20:01What's the catch?
20:02You want to know what the catch is?
20:04When I see something I like, I don't rest until I get it.
20:10Well then, I hope you know how to keep up.
20:14And cut!
20:18He took his time, he leaned in, and he did what the script called for.
20:22Ride them cowboys!
20:24Woo!
20:25Let's go!
20:26How you feeling?
20:27How was it?
20:28Y'all, that horse, she has a mind of her own.
20:31Wish me luck.
20:32Good luck, brother.
20:33All right, I'll see you guys soon.
20:35It's a little nerve-wracking going into this challenge being somebody that's never ridden a horse before.
20:40I don't know how that horse is going to react.
20:43What if I get thrown off of the horse?
20:45I don't know how it can get any harder than this.
20:47And action!
20:50Wow, a Christmas horseback ride.
20:53That's a great idea.
20:54Thanks for the invite.
20:55And I'm just a little nervous.
20:57It's been a long time since I've ridden.
20:59No worries.
21:00I thought we'd do a little refresh around the training ring before we head out on a walk.
21:04Sound good?
21:05Yeah, perfect.
21:06All right.
21:08Put your foot into the stirrup and swing on up.
21:13Look good?
21:14Okay, the one that has never ridden a horse before, flawless.
21:17Left side.
21:18Foot in the stirrup.
21:19Yep.
21:20And then I just swing.
21:21Yee-haw!
21:22Look at you!
21:24Look at that movie star moment.
21:26This is what I'm talking about.
21:27Oh, the horses really like you.
21:29How long have you been riding?
21:30Here?
21:31Uh, just a couple of years, but I rode when I was a kid.
21:35Wow, we've got a real life cowboy on our hands.
21:38Huh?
21:39So, your grandparents taught you to ride.
21:42You must be close with your family?
21:44That's right.
21:45And horses like you, so you must have good energy.
21:48What's the catch?
21:50So you want to know what the catch is?
21:53I do.
21:54Once I see something I like...
21:56Oh no, the horse is going in reverse.
21:59Come on.
22:00He needs to get that final line in.
22:05Coming up...
22:06Go on a little refresh around the training yard.
22:09All right, let's see what else you got.
22:11He's got to slow down that heartbeat a little bit.
22:14Yeah.
22:18The horse is going in reverse.
22:20Let's see how Marcus handles it.
22:22Once I see something I like, I don't stop until I get it.
22:28Well then, you better learn how to go forward, buddy.
22:35And cut!
22:36How he handled it?
22:37Now that's a movie star.
22:39Clearly, the horse didn't get the script.
22:41But I think I'm in a good spot.
22:43When he leaned in and was like,
22:45Hey, I'm here to be your date.
22:47I'm like, put a saddle on me.
22:48I know.
22:49Sorry, Mom, I said it.
22:51Put your left foot in the stirrup.
22:53Grab the reins.
22:54I grew up in a town with a lot of horses.
22:57But I never actually got on a horse personally.
22:59It's hard not to be a little bit scared.
23:05My mom and my grandma both got bucked off and broke bones.
23:09Just got to slow down that heartbeat a little bit.
23:11Yeah, you got this.
23:12Once I'm in the moment, I feel like I'll be good.
23:13Okay, yeah, totally.
23:14That's a big thing to overcome.
23:16I mean, we have to do that as actors, right?
23:18And action!
23:20I'm kind of nervous.
23:21It's been a long time since I've ridden.
23:23No worries.
23:24Let's do a little refresher around the practice track here.
23:27And before we head out on the walk, let you get the hang of it.
23:30Sound good?
23:31Perfect.
23:32All right.
23:33So, remember, we always want to mount on the left side.
23:37Okay.
23:38I'm definitely having a hard time calming my nerves.
23:50Throw that left foot in the stirrup.
23:54And swing on up.
23:55Okay.
23:56There it is.
23:57And swing.
23:58You're a real pro.
23:59Let's see what else you got.
24:01I mean, come on.
24:02Oh my gosh.
24:03They listen to you so well.
24:04How long have you been riding?
24:05My grandparents rode, so I guess you could say,
24:07it's in my blood.
24:08Oh.
24:09Wow.
24:10Got a real cowboy on our hands.
24:12I'd watch this movie.
24:15Do you think they get together in the end?
24:16Yes.
24:17Yeah, they get together.
24:18So, cowboy, let me ask.
24:20What's that?
24:21What's the catch?
24:22You want to know the catch?
24:24Well, when I see something I like, I get it.
24:28Huh.
24:29But can you keep up?
24:37Yes.
24:38And cut.
24:39I'd like to think my grandma and my mom would be proud of the fact that I got up on that horse.
24:43And my acting wasn't too shabby either.
24:45Never ridden a horse.
24:46I never once worried about him on that horse.
24:48Just exuded confidence.
24:49The one thing Davey could have done better is find his camera a little better.
24:57I feel like I have a good grasp on my lines this time.
25:00I just have to show confidence.
25:02Just act like I'm actually a cowboy and that I've done this a million times on a first date.
25:08Action!
25:10Oh, a Christmas horseback ride is such a great idea.
25:13Thanks for the invite.
25:14I'm a little nervous.
25:15It's been a long time since I've ridden.
25:17Don't worry.
25:18I thought we'd do a little refresh on the training ground.
25:23Just grab the reins, put your foot in the stirrup, and swing on up.
25:30Okay.
25:31Well done.
25:32Not bad.
25:33Swing up.
25:35Look at that.
25:36All I want from Gabe in this last moment is I want him to look at that camera and be a leading man.
25:41Yeah.
25:42Those horses really listen to you.
25:43How long have you been riding?
25:44Just a couple of years.
25:45But I started as a kid.
25:47Real life cowboy on their hands.
25:49Yep.
25:50This is a definitely better.
25:51Yes.
25:52All right, cowboy.
25:53What's the catch?
25:55You want to know the catch?
25:57Okay, here we go.
25:58Come on.
26:01Once I see something I like, I don't rest until I get it.
26:04Ooh.
26:05Well, let's see if you can keep up.
26:12Okay.
26:13And cut.
26:14I was stressing a tiny bit.
26:16She's intimidating to me a little bit because she's so beautiful and such a good actress,
26:21you know?
26:22Yeah.
26:23Yeah.
26:24The horse.
26:25Yeah, the horse.
26:26I'm feeling a little bit nervous.
26:27I'm not going to lie.
26:28Allie is a little intimidating.
26:30I'm going to do the best that I can to connect, be grounded, be present with Allie.
26:35She's a pro.
26:36Action!
26:37I figured we'd just go on a little refresh around the training yard before we get started.
26:43Okay.
26:44That's perfect.
26:45Sound good?
26:46Yeah.
26:47All right.
26:48Cool.
26:49So we always mount from the left side.
26:50Okay.
26:51Just grab the reins.
26:52Get it over this guy.
26:59Come on, baby.
27:00Now here's where he has to get the horses.
27:03Just got to get it over her ear as well.
27:06Of course.
27:07Makes sense.
27:08This is like a tornado meeting a volcano.
27:11I'm not off to a great start, but it's not about how you start.
27:14It's about how you finish.
27:15Putting the stir up.
27:16Yep.
27:17And just swing on up there.
27:19Right.
27:21Hey, baby.
27:22Swing up.
27:23Nice swing up.
27:24They look good together.
27:25They look really good together.
27:26They've really listened to you.
27:28How long have you been riding?
27:29Well, here, just a few years, but started when I was a little kid.
27:33My grandparents rode, so it's kind of in my blood.
27:36Wow.
27:37Wow.
27:38We've got a real-life cowboy on our hands.
27:39Look how much of a movie star Craig looks like right there.
27:41He looks fantastic.
27:42That's right.
27:43Those eyes.
27:44Look at that.
27:45So, cowboy, that means I've got just one question for you.
27:50What's the catch?
27:53The catch?
27:55Once I see something I like, I don't stop until I get it.
28:02Wow.
28:03Well, then you better learn to catch up.
28:05Good girl.
28:10Cute.
28:11And cut!
28:12Very cute.
28:13Once he got up on the horse, it was great.
28:16I'll see you later, Jingle.
28:18Whoa.
28:20Never go behind a horse, man.
28:24I'm surprised you didn't do an accent.
28:26Not this time, no.
28:27I'm excited to prove that I am definitely Hallmark Lady Man material.
28:32I don't need to be playing it safe in this competition.
28:35So, I feel like the cowboy would kind of have an accent, like a slow-tone talk to him.
28:41Come on, Logan.
28:42Come on, Logan.
28:44Action!
28:45Action!
28:46Wow.
28:47A Christmas horseback ride.
28:49What a great idea.
28:50Thanks for the invite.
28:51I mean, I'm a little nervous.
28:52It's been a long time since I've ridden.
28:54Ah, no worries.
28:55But, I thought we'd do a little refresher course to kind of get you refreshed and get you back on it.
29:01Okay.
29:02Perfect.
29:10Come on.
29:11Oh.
29:16Okay.
29:17He's not saying anything.
29:19All right.
29:21Here we go.
29:23Fill up the space.
29:24Fill it, fill it.
29:26He missed, he missed a lot of the lines.
29:31Coming up, we became a Latino cowboy.
29:34Swing on over.
29:35Okay.
29:37Am I dropping out for me, hon?
29:38We have to say goodbye to someone who is absolutely incredible.
29:44Come here.
29:45That's okay.
29:46Come here.
29:50The horse started backing up and I forgot half the line that I was going to be delivering.
29:54And it was so much like dead air.
30:00Fill that space.
30:01With something.
30:02With something.
30:03You don't have to add dialogue if that isn't comfortable, but fill it with something.
30:07Mm-hmm.
30:08All right.
30:09So, you just want to grab your reins.
30:10Okay.
30:11Put your foot in the stirrup.
30:12Yep.
30:13Swing on up.
30:14Okay.
30:15A little shaky to start, but he pulled it back in and he got it.
30:22So, how long have you been riding?
30:24Here?
30:25Just a couple years.
30:26But, I started out when I was a kid.
30:29My grandparents rode, so.
30:31Your grandparents rode.
30:33So, that must mean you're close with your family?
30:36That's right.
30:37And horses like you, so that must mean you have good energy.
30:41I guess I just have one question.
30:43Where's the catch?
30:45You wanna know what the catch is?
30:48Well, when I see something I like, I don't rest until I get it.
30:56I hope you can keep up.
31:02And that's a cut!
31:04He missed some of the lines.
31:06He missed the lines and you could see, I could see a moment where he got flustered.
31:09It felt awkward.
31:10Is this your time to shine?
31:12I have to make sure the animal can trust me and sense that I have good energy coming into
31:18the scene.
31:19And if I do that, I feel like I'm gonna do great.
31:21Yee-haw!
31:22Cowboys!
31:23Let's go!
31:24You got this, Angel.
31:26Action!
31:27Thank you for joining me.
31:29Oh, yeah.
31:30I mean, a Christmas horseback ride?
31:32Thank you for the invite.
31:33I'm a little nervous though.
31:34It's been a long time since I've ridden.
31:36Oh, no worries, my lady.
31:38My lady.
31:39My lady.
31:40You put the rings over the horse.
31:42Sure.
31:43Make sure you're gentle.
31:44How you doing?
31:45Talk to the horse.
31:46Make sure.
31:47Mmm.
31:48Come here.
31:49Sometimes this will happen.
31:51Oh, oh, oh, oh.
31:52Uncooperative co-star.
31:53It's okay, baby.
31:55It's okay.
31:56Oh.
31:57I got you.
31:58I got you.
31:59Oh, he's doing so good at filling the space with dialogue.
32:02He literally wrote another scene into that just by keeping in it.
32:06He's so good.
32:07And swing on up.
32:08Wow.
32:09It's a pissy.
32:10Okay.
32:11It's a pissy.
32:12All right, let's see what else you got.
32:14We have a real life cowboy on our hands.
32:19Something is kind of in my blood.
32:21So I just have one question.
32:23What's the catch?
32:24What's the catch?
32:25You want to know what the catch is?
32:29When I see something I like, I don't stop until I get it.
32:34All right, and I hope you can keep up.
32:37I'm up for this.
32:38Let's go.
32:39Cut.
32:40And he stayed in it when his horse was uncooperative, and I mean, it was amazing.
32:44Oh.
32:45No, come on.
32:47Get out of here, man.
32:48Oh, come on.
32:50Oh.
32:51Get out of here, man.
32:52Oh, brother.
32:53That was fun.
32:54Yeah.
32:55I became a Latino cowboy.
32:58Latino cowboy.
32:59Angels always winning over the ladies.
33:02But I was actually voted the biggest flirt at my high school.
33:07So this is going to be right up my alley.
33:10No pun intended.
33:11Action.
33:12Wow.
33:13A Christmas horseback ride.
33:15What a great idea.
33:16Thank you for the invite.
33:18I mean, I'm a little nervous because it's been a long time since I've ridden.
33:22Ah, no worries.
33:24I think we'll do a little refresher on the training ring before we go out on the walk.
33:28Sound good?
33:29Perfect.
33:30Oh, come here, girl.
33:32Yeah, you're a good girl.
33:34Come here, baby.
33:35You just put your foot in the stirrup and swing on over.
33:38Okay.
33:39How about that hat?
33:40Mind dropping out for me, hon?
33:41I don't mind at all.
33:42Thank you so much.
33:43Here you go.
33:44So.
33:45All right, it's your turn.
33:47Yeah, you made it look so easy.
33:49He's so natural up there.
33:50It's insane.
33:51Grounded my foot in the stirrup and I swing up.
33:55Let's see what else you can do.
33:57Your only job is to charm, charm, charm, and that's exactly what he's doing.
34:01Wow.
34:02The horses really listen to you.
34:03How long have you been riding?
34:04Here?
34:05Ah, just a couple years.
34:08But I started as a kid.
34:10Got a real-life cowboy on our hands.
34:14All right, cowboy.
34:15I guess there's just one question.
34:17What's the catch?
34:18You want to know the catch?
34:19You want to know the catch?
34:21When I see something I like, I don't rest till I get it.
34:27Hope you can keep up.
34:31Hot!
34:32Is it hot in here or is it Rustin?
34:37It's freezing, but I don't care.
34:38Is it hot in here or is it Rustin?
34:40Oh, my gosh.
34:41Rustin is boiling our blood.
34:43I don't need these blankets.
34:44He is so good.
34:45I don't need these blankets.
34:46I don't need these blankets.
34:47You just had Rustin.
34:48I just got Rustin.
34:49Boom!
34:50You just got Rustin.
34:51Rustin.
34:52I'm really curious to hear what Allie says, because she got to be up close and personal
34:55and, like, be really connected to them.
34:57And I have my thoughts, but I want to know who really got to her.
35:01Yeah.
35:02This is going to be a tough decision.
35:04I hope you all had half as much fun as I did.
35:07Oh, man.
35:08It just feels like such an even playing field that it could be anyone at any moment.
35:12Top, bottom, middle, like...
35:15We'll see, man.
35:17Wow, we put our hunks through the test today.
35:19So many things going on in that scene.
35:21Let's first talk about the guys we thought did well.
35:24Let's talk about Marcus.
35:25Marcus had never been on a horse before.
35:27Wow, that was impressive.
35:28He never once looked like he was thinking about the horse.
35:30No.
35:31When he swung right up there, I thought he had so much swagger and confidence.
35:34There was not a single second that I felt like he was out of character.
35:37Do you ever have that thing in scenes with other actors where you're, like, nervous for them?
35:40You're a little worried, like, oh, are they going to forget their line?
35:42Oh, are they worried about this blocking?
35:44With him, not for a second was I nervous.
35:46He felt like you were in good hands all the time.
35:48Yes, exactly.
35:49Then we had Angel.
35:50He came into it with intention.
35:52He came into it with an idea.
35:53He wanted to make it his own.
35:55It's too busy.
35:56Okay.
35:57I loved how he did it.
35:58I loved how he looked at me in the scene.
36:00I loved everything about it.
36:01Then we have Rustin, our resident cowboy.
36:03He understands the assignment.
36:05He does.
36:06So great with the horse.
36:07He handled everything really confidently.
36:09He has a confidence that cannot be broken.
36:11The only thing that was a little tricky was his hat came off.
36:14And he asked you to get it, right?
36:15And he, yeah.
36:16But I felt sort of like he sort of stepped on me by saying, like, hey, will you get that
36:20for me?
36:21And you were like, I'm already getting it.
36:22And I was sort of like, dude, I already got it.
36:24I'm nervous.
36:25Not going to lie.
36:26It was a challenge, for sure, because the horses are kind of unpredictable.
36:30Now let's talk about who struggled.
36:32Now Craig is, you know, our very confident hunk.
36:34I felt a little nervesome, Craig.
36:36Yeah.
36:37When the horse, you know, didn't cooperate, as we warned him, he definitely allowed it to
36:41sort of a tiny bit.
36:42Fluster him a tiny bit.
36:43I forgot what the line was.
36:45Then I internally panicked, and I was like, oh no, oh no.
36:48And then we had Logan.
36:50It felt a little bit like he was nervous about the cameras.
36:53Just didn't have that comfort with how to hit your mark.
36:55Didn't feel intentional.
36:56That's right.
36:57So then let's talk about Gabriel.
36:58There's something with Gabriel where I want him to lock in, because when those glimpses
37:03happen, they're great.
37:04But there's so many cracks between the glimpses of greatness.
37:07He's thinking about the next line.
37:09That comes with experience.
37:10We have a huge decision to make.
37:12I know.
37:13We have eight hunks that really turned themselves into Christmas cowboys.
37:16They did.
37:17And they did such a great job.
37:18But unfortunately, someone's got to go home.
37:20Walking into elimination, I'm feeling stressed.
37:26I'm doing the best I can.
37:28I just don't know if that's going to be enough.
37:30Although I didn't start that scene off on the right foot, I do think I recovered well.
37:35I know that this is just the beginning, and I'm hoping that I'm not going home.
37:40Hello, gentlemen.
37:41Welcome back to the moment where your chance to be Mr. Christmas hangs in the balance.
37:46Tonight, one of you will be named this week's shining star, and one of you will be headed home for the holidays.
37:54In this star quality challenge, we asked you to step out of your comfort zone and step onto a horse while having a romantic scene with your co-star, Ally Sweeney.
38:06Ally, you got to act with the guys.
38:08How do you think they did?
38:09The key in all of this is if you are natural and comfortable with what you're doing, the audience feels that.
38:15And they love it, and they want to feel comfortable watching you.
38:19They don't want to be nervous.
38:20Yep.
38:21The audience can sit back and relax because they know they're in good hands.
38:23Yes.
38:24Exactly.
38:25I was impressed to see you all really commit to today's challenge.
38:28It shows that you're not just here to play, but to win.
38:32But one of you put your nerves aside and rocked the camera with your confidence and chemistry.
38:38The winner of the star quality challenge and tonight's shining star is...
38:44Marcus, congratulations.
38:53Dude.
38:54Dude.
38:55From jumping on a horse with confidence to filling the space we needed.
38:59I really enjoyed riding a horse.
39:00You did so great.
39:01And that's really impressive.
39:02Winning my first star quality challenge feels amazing.
39:05It means that I'm doing something right.
39:07It means that I'm supposed to be here.
39:09And now, unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to someone who is absolutely incredible.
39:13Gabe.
39:14Logan.
39:15Will you please step forward?
39:17Oh, my gosh.
39:20I can't believe I'm in the bottom two again.
39:22I feel my heart racing.
39:25Doing that scene, it was a mess.
39:27Logan.
39:28You messed up a few of your lines and it seemed to shake you.
39:31Instead of connecting with your co-star, it almost felt like you were acting alone.
39:35Gabe.
39:36When you're not on camera, you are confident and you are magic.
39:40When we call action, you lose a bit of your confidence.
39:44You seem a little disconnected in the scene and the focus was more on your next line than it was connecting with your co-star.
39:51Gabe.
39:52Logan.
39:53One of you will be going home right now.
39:56Winning this, I think, would definitely change my life.
39:59Let me stay.
40:00Give me a chance.
40:01I don't want to go home.
40:02I'm learning every single day that I'm here.
40:04And I feel like I'm just getting started.
40:12Logan, that's a wrap.
40:14It's time to take your stocking down.
40:16You're going home for the holidays.
40:20Logan, you charmed us from day one with your authenticity and your love for magic.
40:25And every day, that's what you've been showing up with.
40:28I know everyone here is sad to see you go.
40:31And we can't wait to see what you do next.
40:36Being Mr. Christmas would have been, you know, that would have been so cool.
40:40Being the lead in a Hallmark movie.
40:42I mean, come on.
40:43Who doesn't want that?
40:46I'm really glad that I got the opportunity.
40:48Getting the chance to meet new friends.
40:53Really having a connection with everybody.
40:57I would have missed you guys.
40:59But I loved it.
41:00I loved every second of it.
41:05Guys, you are all here chasing a dream.
41:08And with that, can come some tough love and a little bit of heartbreak.
41:12We'll see you next time as we continue the search to find Mr. Christmas.
41:17Can't believe I get another chance.
41:18But I'm going to stay positive and go into the next challenges with confidence.
41:23We'll see you next time.
41:53Myself 10
42:00And we'll see you next time.
42:01Alright.
42:03Lo.
42:04Let's see you next time.
42:05And wait.
42:08And yeah, do you go ahead.
