00:00I saw a few bones in the pay pile.
00:13Is that a mammoth tusk?
00:16Rib bone, I think.
00:19Right? Rib bone?
00:24I don't know.
00:30Yeah, so things are going really well so far.
00:34You know, we're, like, coming out of the gate, moving.
00:38And we're over 2,000 ounces, but I'm waiting for something to go massively wrong
00:43because things don't go this smoothly for very long.
00:46Six weeks into the season, 30-year-old Parker Schnabel's plan
00:51to mine more than $35 million in gold is right on schedule.
00:57Tyson is being an animal this year.
01:00He's done over 1,500 ounces already here on Dominion.
01:03And then Mitch is doing a really good job over at Sulphur.
01:07Sulphur had over a 350-ounce cleanup last week, so that's crazy.
01:13Parker's plan includes squeezing every ounce he can out of his Sulphur Creek claim,
01:19where foreman Mitch Blaschke has been hunting for gold-rich pockets the old-timers missed.
01:25You know, it's been full throttle since the beginning of the season here in Sulphur,
01:30trying to get all the work done before the water license expires.
01:32Just want to make sure that we get what's ours and don't leave anything behind.
01:38Mitch is down to just three weeks to get it all done.
01:43Making the job harder, his top dirt mover, Brennan Ruhle,
01:47was recently sent to open ground at their next claim.
01:51Right now we're threading a bunch of needles with Brennan trying to have the Indian River ready,
01:54Mitch trying to have Sulphur done before the water license expires.
01:58We need to get the whole project done, reclaimed, and be out.
02:12How's it going?
02:12Good.
02:14How are you?
02:14Doing well.
02:15Yeah.
02:16Nice to be getting to the close of this one.
02:17We can start the next project.
02:19Yeah.
02:19Holy, that's a hole.
02:23Wow.
02:24Very muddy hole.
02:34Nobody's done any panning in here, I'm guessing.
02:36Not on this upper section.
02:37We were trying to get it out as fast as we could, get her to the plant.
02:41Right.
02:41Well, I'll pan some of this just out of curiosity.
02:48All right, well, let's see what we've got.
02:50Holy smokes.
03:12That's a hell of a pan.
03:17Must be 100 pieces of gold in there.
03:19Wow.
03:20Yeah.
03:21That's pretty wild.
03:23What do you think?
03:25It's worth staying here a little longer and getting that last little bit of pay.
03:30There's gold there, and that's what we're here for.
03:32We've got a lot of sluicing to do already this year, so...
03:34There's a lot of sluicing to do.
03:35It always turns into a lot bigger project than we think, doesn't it?
03:40I want to stand up there and look at it.
03:41How far does that go?
03:52Straight to this tree right here.
03:53That's probably where I would go to.
03:55You know, it's going to be tight.
04:01Could just have, like, Brennan come over here.
04:02That's the best chance that you've got at getting the pay down here in time and getting it ran.
04:07That'd be sweet.
04:08All right.
04:08I'll keep you updated.
04:10Over the last six weeks, Mitch has dug out all the pay pockets of the two-acre cut
04:15and is sluicing the last of its stockpiled pay.
04:19But Parker believes the old-timer's dredge missed even more gold
04:24and thinks the pay streak extends up to the road.
04:28He wants Mitch to expand the cut by another two acres
04:33and sluice all of its pay before the water license runs out.
04:41If Parker's move pays off, he could bank another 500 ounces worth $1.75 million.
04:50Just when we thought sulfur here was coming to a close in typical Parker fashion,
04:55and now he's saying, you know, hey, I want even more dirt out of there.
04:59We're pushing this project all the way to its absolute limit.
05:02So I'm just hoping we can get everything done here in sluice,
05:04but let's just mess with our timeline.
05:13Brother!
05:15All right.
05:16The cavalry's here.
05:17We can certainly use the help.
05:19Woo!
05:21We're here.
05:22Happy to help, man.
05:25To give Mitch a fighting chance, Parker has sent in the big guns.
05:31So we've got five trucks, two excavators, and the loader feeding the plant.
05:36We're on a hot streak right now.
05:38Let's stay with it, finish it off,
05:40and get every speck of gold we can get out of here.
05:44You know, everything up here is risk over reward,
05:47and right now the risk is we got ourselves a lot of dirt to move here,
05:51not much time.
05:52But Parker thinks it's worth the reward.
06:07First gold way of the year, you're always hoping for a good one, right?
06:11It can set, you know, kind of set the pace for the rest of the year.
06:14We had the opposite of that.
06:16A hundred miles away, Rick Ness is still trying to recover from a major setback
06:22after failing to obtain the water license needed to mine his gold-rich Duncan Creek claim.
06:30The diamond cut on his new claim at Lightning Creek delivered just seven ounces.
06:36We're always in a race against time, but, you know, we start having gold ways like that,
06:40and it just becomes even more and more serious, you know?
06:42There's no way we can make money off of that,
06:44but that doesn't mean that we can just, you know, call it quits here.
06:47Rick now finds himself in deep water.
06:50He's had to shut down wash plant Rocky,
06:52but has just one week to pay landowner Troy Taylor 100 ounces
06:58to complete his purchase of Lightning Creek.
07:02We've got to move on.
07:03We've got to strip some new ground.
07:04We've already started that.
07:05We've moved up the valley.
07:05We've just got to pivot and pivot quick.
07:09We're late to the game this season,
07:11so we had to come into this location.
07:14It's definitely not as good ground as Vegas Valley.
07:17Hopefully we can get gold out of here to at least pay the bills.
07:22Everyone's getting pretty beat down.
07:24When you see low numbers and no gold coming in,
07:27it doesn't feel too good.
07:31It's definitely getting a little stressful being a little behind the gun here,
07:34so we're going to shift over here and change the odds.
07:38Hopefully start running some pay dirt soon.
07:41This is definitely the beginning of working our way up the valley for sure.
07:46You know, we need as much uncovered as we can,
07:48but pretty much it's just going to be trial and error.
07:51We want to make sure that, you know,
07:53this is going to be good pay and not garbage.
07:56Rick's going to come down and figure out
07:57what he wants me to do moving forward.
07:59Look at this.
08:08What's your thinking, Bailey?
08:09It's like the bedrock's right there,
08:11and then it goes to sand.
08:13Obviously you don't want the sand, but...
08:16Interesting.
08:19There's no telling what this bedrock might do.
08:21You're probably just going to have to follow it.
08:22Some of that along the banks looks like pay.
08:27Okay.
08:28But there's a spot right there where the bigger rocks...
08:31Look at that big rock right there.
08:33That's what we want to see.
08:35Nice.
08:37Do you want that top, gravelly stuff?
08:40I think so.
08:42Yeah, I would say that's the stuff we run.
08:44Bigger rocks should mean bigger deposits of gold.
08:48Over 150,000 years ago,
08:52a giant glacier eroded
08:54and picked up gold from the Mount Hinton motherlode.
08:58A massive ice sheet bulldozed down the valley,
09:01tearing up the landscape.
09:04When the ice melted,
09:06the gold settled in scattered pockets
09:08with the heavy rocks and boulders.
09:12I like it.
09:13Get the plant running.
09:14Just start hauling up the plant.
09:15That'd be great.
09:15Yeah.
09:16You call this the boulder cut?
09:17Cool.
09:18Hopefully it's got gold in it.
09:19Okay.
09:20Thanks, man.
09:21Yep.
09:24Bailey's getting on it right here.
09:25You know, they're doing a good job
09:25of getting this stripped off
09:26and there's a lot more bigger boulders
09:28and stuff in that ground.
09:29It just looks more promising,
09:30so I've got a good feeling about that.
09:35We're all pretty excited to run this stuff.
09:37We'll get this fired up
09:38and we'll start pounding dirt through it.
09:40Well, right now, we're hauling pay to the plant.
09:53This pay layer definitely looks, you know,
09:56a lot better than the diamond cut.
09:59You know, there is big rocks in here
10:00and I'm hoping it's going to be really good.
10:02Something's going on with the bucket.
10:17I just not feel improper.
10:19It doesn't have any strength trying to curl right now.
10:24Hey, Ryan, you got a copy, man?
10:26Go ahead, Bailey.
10:26Yeah, something's wrong with the 750 for sure.
10:28Okay.
10:29All right, man.
10:29Give me just a minute and I'll be over.
10:31Hopefully, Ryan can get down here
10:33and figure out what's going on
10:34because this is our main machine.
10:36That's the only thing that we got down here
10:37that can load rock trucks quick enough,
10:39so right now, we're on a standstill.
10:41We got issued with the 750 right now.
10:57I've probably got a couple more hours worth of pay here
11:00because there's no pay at this plant.
11:02There's no gold in the box,
11:03so it's pretty crucial to have that thing back up and running.
11:07At Lightning Creek,
11:09the Neskru 750 excavator has gone down,
11:13preventing them from digging pay dirt
11:15from the new boulder cut.
11:18I'd zip that plate off.
11:20Let's make as much room as we can.
11:21I'll get in there and I'll crack it open.
11:28All right.
11:29Where is she at?
11:34All righty.
11:36Okay.
11:37We've got a pilot hose over here
11:39that comes from the back main pump
11:41and goes all the way up just underneath the cab
11:43that's chafing pretty bad.
11:45The 750 excavator's bucket moves forward
11:49when hydraulic fluid is pumped through a hose
11:51into a cylinder with a piston
11:53at 5,000 pounds per square inch.
11:57The bucket is then forced to retract
11:59when the cylinder is injected with hydraulic fluid
12:03by a second hose.
12:04Ryan has discovered this hose has a leak
12:09in the body of the excavator near the pump.
12:17He plans to disconnect the hose and remove it,
12:20then replace it with a new one,
12:23restoring the hydraulic system's full pressure,
12:26allowing the bucket to once again
12:29haul six yards of boulder pay dirt with each scoop.
12:33Right here?
12:42Yeah, go ahead.
12:44Oh, yeah, you're good.
12:48Look at this.
12:49Yeah, right there.
12:50So this will get us going,
12:53get us back in the pay,
12:54and keep things rolling.
12:57All right, got it all zip tied up.
13:00Going to get our bottom plates on,
13:01get our top plate mounted back,
13:03and Bailey will be back at it.
13:05Oh, baby!
13:11All right, bottom side's good.
13:13There you go.
13:14There you go.
13:17Hey, Bailey, 750's fixed.
13:20Thanks, Ryan.
13:25Look at the 750 up and running again,
13:27which is awesome.
13:28We got three trucks.
13:29We got to hurry up here
13:30and get that pay to the plan.
13:37I really need this to work out.
13:38We all need this to work out.
13:39This is our spot for the summer,
13:40and we need to start getting some gold out of it.
13:44I'm not going to sleep well
13:45until I get a whole run out of this ground.
13:47If it doesn't start showing us gold,
13:49well, what good is it?
13:52I'm not full panic mode,
13:54but I am definitely got my hand over the panic button.
14:09So far, the season went pretty f***ing good.
14:19So happy, happy, as they say.
14:21A month and a half into his season,
14:24king of the clondike,
14:25Tony Beetz,
14:26is cashing in on his early bird cut.
14:29Right now,
14:31we've got a sluice log going.
14:32If it runs,
14:33don't f*** with it.
14:34Get it going.
14:35He's already banked over 1,800 ounces
14:39of his 6,500-ounce target
14:41and is now opening the corner cut.
14:49The corner cut is so big
14:50that it's going to take us a while
14:53to get down the pay.
14:55But we should have plenty of time
14:56to get it all set up
14:58and do some serious sluicing.
15:01The minute we'll figure it out,
15:02voila.
15:03With Mike,
15:05when he has his crommel going,
15:07well, then we'll just see
15:08what we can pull off.
15:1340 miles away
15:15on Paradise Hill.
15:17Pretty busy right now
15:19here at Mike's shipping department.
15:21Turn my way a bit.
15:24Go to get the next one.
15:25I'm told to get this organized.
15:27I'm told to get this ready.
15:28I'm told to get this going.
15:29This is all Indian River s***.
15:30I'm just a delivery boy.
15:31Trouble's not going to happen
15:35anytime soon at this rate.
15:37If he wants to see gold,
15:38my dad's going to have to leave me alone
15:39and let me do it.
15:42At the start of the season...
15:44You gave Kevin a bunch of help
15:45getting him going.
15:47So is there anything
15:47you're going to help us with?
15:49Tony's youngest son, Mike,
15:52made a case for his own claim.
15:54There is some opportunities out there.
15:56Let's get these two places here
15:57going first,
15:58and then we'll talk.
15:59Tony tasked Mike
16:01with getting their Paradise Hill
16:03operation running.
16:05But two weeks ago...
16:07I don't know what the s*** is going on.
16:08Tony stole half of his equipment
16:10and crew.
16:11If he don't like it,
16:12I guess that sucks to be him.
16:14Ha ha ha.
16:15You try to take all my people
16:17and then all my s***
16:18and then expect me to still run
16:19at the hill?
16:20Now, Mike's Paradise Hill trommel
16:24still sits idle,
16:26and he has no gold coming in.
16:31Hey, what's going on?
16:36What's the problem?
16:38Right now, I'm in equipment.
16:39I can do one project at a time.
16:40I can sluice.
16:41I can strip.
16:42I do not have enough to do both,
16:44which means I ain't going to be able
16:46to run the s*** trauma here.
16:47You will not.
16:53You know Tony's
16:54train of thought, right?
16:56The Indian is the only thing
16:57that's producing right now,
16:59so that's what he wants to focus on.
17:03It's a little bit worrisome
17:05that he takes your equipment.
17:07Why can't I start taking s*** back?
17:09That would go over really well.
17:11You and I both know that,
17:12so that's not going to happen.
17:13So, what are you going to do now?
17:15Do you have a plan B?
17:18We have a Herald.
17:19A nice plant sitting down in Hester.
17:21It's basically stupid proof.
17:23Just got to fuse some pipe,
17:25hook it up to the pump,
17:26test the pump,
17:27and then I just got to get
17:28an excavator and a loader down there
17:30and I could be sluicing.
17:30That's great.
17:33How would you feel
17:34to just have your own claim,
17:36just your stuff,
17:38no interference with your father,
17:39like Kevin?
17:41I would like it.
17:42It would be fun.
17:42Do you think that's going to happen?
17:44F*** no.
17:45He's too busy out there.
17:48Want to have a little wager?
17:51Ten bucks, I say it will.
17:53We can also say 20 bucks.
17:56You're scared?
17:58Twenty bucks.
18:03With that being said,
18:04I do think you have to go back to work.
18:06I'll see you later.
18:07Mike got a little bit of a rough end
18:12of the deal here
18:13because he doesn't have all the people
18:15and all the equipment,
18:17but it's just the way Tony is.
18:19He focuses on what's right in front of him,
18:23not what's 60 miles down the road.
18:26Mike plans to use what little equipment
18:30Tony left behind
18:31to make a quick score
18:33by sluicing a pile of old-timer tailings
18:36that he believes are rich in gold.
18:39But first,
18:41he has to connect the water supply
18:43to wash plant Harold.
18:44So I'm going to be testing out
18:47our new fusing machine here
18:48without no water.
18:50You ain't sluicing at all.
18:53If Mike can fit through,
18:54the pipe will fit.
18:57Spread your wings and fly, Mike.
19:02It works!
19:09Right now, we've lift up the pipe
19:11so I can line it up.
19:14My way.
19:16Stop!
19:17I just lined them up.
19:18I'm tightening them up now.
19:20I'm waiting for the heating pad to warm up.
19:22Put it in there?
19:23Yeah.
19:24Okay.
19:25That melts the pipe
19:26so that when I push it again,
19:27it fuses.
19:29Get ready.
19:32There we go.
19:37It's working.
19:44I heard thunder.
19:46Pull the tongue,
19:47bring it over here.
19:50Now it's raining pretty good.
19:52Hold it up.
19:53Try to cover it
19:54so it doesn't get pissed on rain.
19:55If rain gets into the melted junction,
19:58air bubbles will form
20:00and the fuse will burst
20:02under high water pressure.
20:03If we don't get this fuse together,
20:11I ain't getting no water to herald.
20:20Yeah, it should be good.
20:22The rain seems to be stopping.
20:24You guys can take it off.
20:25Before Mike can test
20:28if the fuses will hold,
20:30he needs to connect the pipe
20:31to the pump
20:32across the creek.
20:35Lift it up in the air.
20:41Yeah, it's looking good.
20:45Excellent.
20:46That's good, Zach.
20:47Pull it in.
20:52Cut!
20:52Next step is to put
20:55the suction in.
20:57Chain this up.
20:58Try not to get hit
20:58in the face with a bucket
20:59because it's not on my
21:01bucket list to do.
21:14Pipes are all hooked up,
21:16fused together.
21:17All I have to do
21:17is test fire the pump,
21:19make sure everything's
21:20working good.
21:22I'm firing up.
21:44I'm firing up.
21:44Everything's working!
21:54First scooping to herald.
21:56Here we go.
22:02For the first time this season,
22:05Mike is on the gold.
22:09Nice to finally get this thing going.
22:11Got it there.
22:11Man, it was brutal.
22:35There's no way we would have
22:36made this happen
22:37without the trucks
22:38and the extra help up here.
22:39But we are finally down to pay
22:41and we're going to load
22:43that in the trucks
22:44and haul it down to Roxanne.
22:46At Sulphur Creek,
22:47Mitch Blaschke has hit pay
22:49in the first section
22:50of the new two-acre extension.
22:53Now, his crew is in a race
22:56to sluice it all
22:57before the water license runs out
22:59in less than three weeks.
23:02Holy s***!
23:03Loader operator Sean Holcroft
23:08is feeding the new pay
23:10through wash plant Roxanne.
23:13Parker, he's got some deadlines going,
23:15so we really got to bust our balls here
23:17and get moving.
23:18I got this old 220 loader.
23:21This thing's a little ancient.
23:22Still able to wash rocks with the plant,
23:24but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:26I have my second year down here now.
23:28A big step up for me.
23:29A little bit more responsibilities.
23:30They're letting me do a lot more.
23:32It's pretty awesome
23:33to have this opportunity.
23:34I really love it.
23:41I don't know what the s***
23:42going on with this thing.
23:46It looks like we've got
23:47the brakes are locking up.
23:50Let's take half load.
23:53Oh my s***!
23:56S***ing painful, man.
23:57Getting a little
24:00hydraulic oil warning here.
24:06Okay, Mitch.
24:08It's 220 here.
24:10It's f***ing up real bad.
24:12I guess they got no power.
24:13Barely making it up this ramp.
24:15There's no way I'm going to be able
24:16to keep up with this
24:16even at 100 yards an hour.
24:19This is not what we need right now.
24:21Unfortunately, with 220 being down right now,
24:29we're going to shut Roxanne down.
24:31Shutting down Roxanne
24:32could mean losing
24:34over $8,000 an hour.
24:37Parker has all these ambitions
24:39and things he wants us to do this season,
24:41but we got one old loader out here,
24:43and right now we're not sleuthing.
24:45To fix the loader,
24:49Mitch calls in mechanic
24:50Taylor Matika.
24:53I've got an alarm
24:55for low hydraulic oil.
24:56You can see there's nothing
24:56on the sight glass.
24:59With the machine running,
25:01the transmission oil
25:03was way high.
25:04It should be at the bottom
25:05of the sight glass here.
25:07We're way over full.
25:08So what caused this
25:10is the parking brake.
25:11And it's got a piston inside
25:13with seals that release
25:14the parking brake.
25:15These seals have failed
25:16and the parking brake is dragging
25:18and it's filling the transmission
25:20with hydraulic oil.
25:24I'm just going to pull the drain plug
25:26on the transmission here
25:27and we'll let her buck.
25:31There it goes.
25:34Hopefully it's just the seals,
25:35but if a piece of ****
25:37got between the piston
25:38and the housing,
25:39we might have a **** piston
25:40and that's going to be
25:42a huge problem.
25:45The 220 loader's parking brake
25:47is spring loaded
25:48and controlled
25:49by hydraulic pressure.
25:52To access the brake,
25:53Taylor will first cage it
25:55by using three bolts
25:56that compress the springs,
25:58releasing the brake
25:59and securing the piston
26:01to the brake cover.
26:03He will then remove
26:04the 16 bolts
26:05that hold the cover in place
26:07and lift off
26:08the caged parking brake piston.
26:10Taylor can then remove
26:12and replace the damaged seals
26:14before reinstalling the brake,
26:17uncaging the springs
26:18and refilling the hydraulic oil,
26:21allowing the parking brake
26:22to function properly.
26:25We're just buzzing
26:26the parking brake out here.
26:28We've got it caged
26:29with these three bolts.
26:33There we go.
26:34We'll take it out,
26:35put it on the back of my truck.
26:36Hopefully this thing's not ****
26:38because we can't afford
26:39a downloader.
26:42You can see here,
26:43there's no real damage
26:44to the piston,
26:45but the parking brake seal
26:46is completely ****.
26:47We need to replace it.
26:50Sean was right
26:50to give me a shout right away.
26:52We'll swap the seals out
26:53and put this thing back together.
26:56Let's get started.
26:58We'll peel these seals off.
27:00We're at the assembly stage now,
27:04just putting these seals in.
27:06Hey, Taylor,
27:06you got a copy, Taylor?
27:08Yeah, go ahead.
27:09How's it going over there, man?
27:11We're putting new seals
27:12in the parking brake right now.
27:13Thank God,
27:14it was just the seals
27:15and we had them in stock.
27:15Give us about
27:16an hour and a half,
27:17two hours,
27:18and this thing will be up and running.
27:19All right, man.
27:20We'll be ready for it.
27:22Mitch is chomping at the bit
27:23to get this thing up and running,
27:24and it's just, you know,
27:25race against time
27:25to get this thing back together.
27:26It's all good.
27:40Fill it with transmission oil,
27:42we can be back to making money.
27:47Transmission's full,
27:49parking brake's reassembled,
27:50resealed,
27:51everything's hooked up.
27:54Lay down.
27:55Good boy.
28:07We're going to take it down to Sean
28:08so they can go fire up Roxanne.
28:16Oh, yeah, buddy.
28:18Thanks, man.
28:18Five hours after shutting down
28:21and $40,000 of gold production lost,
28:25Roxanne is back in the game.
28:28We're washing rocks.
28:29Roxanne's shaking.
28:31We're getting that gold.
28:33We got Roxanne on a good clip here.
28:36It's sluicing along very nicely.
28:38We're pushing this project here at Sulphur
28:40all the way to its absolute limit.
28:42We're getting through it,
28:44but we're not out of the woods yet.
28:46We're gonna go.
28:48Go, go, go, go, go.
28:49Go, go, go to the street tonight.
28:50Let's go.
28:51We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley.
29:15It's different.
29:16It's up for us to prove that there is something here.
29:19It's going to be nonstop.
29:20It's not going to be an easy season.
29:24I think this will be our toughest season with Rick.
29:27Rick's crew is sluicing paydirt from the new boulder cut,
29:31which they hope will finally deliver some gold.
29:35We're going to probably work our way up this valley probably all season.
29:38Hopefully, you know, the farther we go or the more that we run, the better it looks.
29:44Guys, I need you all to come meet me at the laydown yard.
29:48All right. I want Ollie there.
29:50What's going on?
30:14I got some news.
30:36What's going on?
30:39I got some news.
30:39We got a water license on Lower Duncan.
30:45Really?
30:45Yes.
30:47Yeah.
30:48Yeah.
30:48That's actually really good news.
30:50Got some for you guys.
30:51We got the news today from the attorney.
31:09They granted an extension until November 2025.
31:11We can go break ground, Vegas Valley, start draining it.
31:13We can get gold from Vegas Valley this year.
31:15Was that a verified email?
31:17The verified email, yes.
31:18Okay, good.
31:18Yeah.
31:19Yes.
31:19Yes.
31:20Yeah.
31:20We 100% have a water license, a land use permit, and everything at Lower Duncan.
31:25In just four years, Rick's claim on Lower Duncan paid out nearly 6,000 ounces.
31:32But after losing the water license, he had to abandon it, including a pay pile that could contain
31:39more than $1.4 million in gold.
31:43We've already got a pile up there ready to run, and, you know, we can actually run that
31:48now.
31:49So what does that mean for this deal?
31:50Well, that's a good point, because we can't just walk away from this.
31:55I promised Troy another 100 ounces to buy Lightning Creek.
31:58I'm not just going to pull 100 ounces out of here and give it to Troy and walk the f***
32:01away.
32:02You know, we've got to pull some serious gold out of here.
32:04But this is really good news.
32:06I don't even think you've seen the best out of Vegas Valley yet.
32:09No, and I'm hoping we haven't seen the best out of this.
32:11Yeah.
32:11You know, I think our future is really f*** bright.
32:13I've got a lot to figure out, but we've got a water license, and we are going back to
32:17Vegas Valley.
32:18This is cause for celebration.
32:19F*** yeah.
32:20F*** yeah, guys.
32:21All right.
32:27You know, in my head right now, I'm very happy.
32:29There's a lot going on right now.
32:30It's like one extreme to the other, right?
32:32We had no water license.
32:33Now we've got a water license in two spots, you know.
32:36I want to just run to Vegas Valley.
32:37I know the gold's there, but I've got obligations on Lightning Creek.
32:39You know, I owe Troy 100 ounces.
32:41You know, that's a quarter million dollars.
32:42So there's a lot to figure out, but at the end of the day, this is good news.
32:45It's nice to be finally solution.
33:05It's been a long time coming.
33:06At Paradise Hill, despite a lack of equipment, Mike is determined to prove to his dad that
33:14he can bring in the gold.
33:17Just careful not to overload it.
33:20It's nice to get this going.
33:21It's exactly what I wanted.
33:23Closer and closer every time.
33:24Oh, , we got a gasket blowing out on this pump.
33:31Shut it down.
33:33, close the bypass.
33:45Ah, , this is going to be a pain in the ass.
33:49Yeah, but that's got to get fixed before we can keep going.
33:52I'm going to lift this up, take these off so I can get this little orange piece here,
33:57and I can check the rubber.
34:03If you hop in the excavator, I'll wrap it around and we'll just lift it.
34:16Yeah, because these are coming off like butter.
34:22My gaskets ripped completely.
34:25Yeah, she ripped right apart.
34:27My only two rubbers I got, too small or a weave in too big.
34:35We can make that work, though.
34:36You know what I mean?
34:38Cut holes.
34:38What we're going to do is mark out all the holes, and then we'll just push the bolt holes through.
34:50Then I'm going to cut, and yeah, the bolt will fit through it.
35:03Yeah, there should be 12.
35:07It's a little scabby, but it'll work.
35:09For the bushfix gasket to work, it must form a tight seal between the two metal flanges.
35:17A little bit more of my weight.
35:18There we go.
35:20If we do this and it works, it should last until forever.
35:29Hey, that's my butt.
35:33Let her down.
35:34That's tight.
35:42This should all work.
35:43Let's get going.
36:08Finally getting this done.
36:09But now I'll be happy to get any gold, so I'm going to grab every ounce of gold I can out of that dirt.
36:15Between me and Colby, we should be able to get this thing going.
36:19This will be running for the rest of the season.
36:30Mike Beats may be dreaming of his own Klondike kingdom, but there is already a crown he wears proud.
36:37According to everyone, I'm the king of around, so this should be nothing new.
36:45Go chase the beaver.
36:47Go, go, go!
36:49You make me good.
36:53So I leave you guys alone for what, two minutes, and then you're around again?
36:57Let's go!
36:58Nah, it's around.
37:18Whoa!
37:18Oh, yeah.
37:19Nice glasses.
37:21Thanks, man.
37:21How are you?
37:23No fire?
37:24No.
37:24It's too hot for that.
37:25It's hot.
37:26Summer finally got here.
37:27Yeah, it came fast.
37:29It was a smart move to pivot from a diamond cut.
37:31There's no way we can make a living off it, and, you know, I like the spot that we moved to.
37:37It's definitely looking better in every way.
37:39There's boulders there.
37:40Yeah.
37:40It is nicer material compared to that stuff that we just dug at the start of the diamond cut.
37:45So we're on the right track.
37:47Yeah.
37:47Well, I guess maybe we should weigh up the gold.
37:50Rick's previous spot, the diamond cut, produced just 7.35 ounces.
37:56Now, he's hoping the new boulder cut will deliver at least 30 ounces for its run time.
38:04All right, count it out.
38:091, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 18, 20, 22, 22.35.
38:22Worth $78,000.
38:28Definitely an improvement.
38:30We've got to look at it that way.
38:32Three times better.
38:33Yeah.
38:35I mean, obviously, that water license coming in is huge.
38:38But a lot of decisions come with that, you know.
38:41There's a lot of pieces that have to fall into place.
38:44What's going through your head?
38:45Tough it out here?
38:47I mean, we're going to have to go back to Vegas Valley.
38:49I mean, I want to.
38:52And maybe at the end of the day, this is just not the happening spot right here.
38:58We can't abandon this place.
38:59I did buy it.
39:00But the one thing that I can say is that we can't afford to just shut this down while we're, you know.
39:05We've got to take advantage of all the sluicing hours we can get.
39:07How many gold ways do we say there can be improvement before we finally say we need to get our asses back to Vegas Valley?
39:13At the end of the day, I owe Troy, you know, 100 ounces on this ground.
39:16So we can't just walk away from it right now.
39:19It's the only spot we're getting gold from.
39:20Does he care where the 100 ounces comes from?
39:22Because I'm telling you now, you're going to get 100 ounces a lot quicker.
39:25You do the math.
39:26It doesn't make sense to hit 1,800 ounces by the end of the season.
39:28You know, it's going to take a while to get Vegas Valley ready.
39:31So the minute we're able to sluice down there, we will go there.
39:33That's a promise.
39:34I think we should go there now.
39:36Well, that's too bad.
39:37I think there's gold here.
39:42I hope you're right.
39:43Definitely the pressure's going to be on, man.
39:49Thanks, guys.
39:50I appreciate it.
39:51Yeah, this gold way was better than last week, but it's not as good as what lower Duncan could be.
39:56There could be 400 ounces in that pay pile.
39:58So, you know, for us to try to reach 1,800 ounces, we need to be down there right away.
40:03Well, the gold total for the week, 22.3 ounces, yeah, it's three times as good.
40:07But the exciting thing is we got the water license extension back on Duncan Creek, so we go back to Vegas Valley, which is huge news.
40:13Now, everybody's just arguing on when.
40:15They want to go there immediately, but the timing's just not right.
40:17You know, it's going to take a few days to get that ready, and I'm not willing to stop getting gold from Lightning Creek until it is ready.
40:22So we're going to stick it out here, and we'll be back in Vegas Valley soon.
40:28Hello.
40:36Hey, guys.
40:37Hey, guys.
40:37How are you?
40:38Here.
40:39How are you?
40:39Good.
40:40Yes.
40:40Good, good, good.
40:43Have a seat.
40:46I've been here pretty much all week.
40:48Sluicing away on the early bird cut there.
40:50Doing very well, actually, I think.
40:53Busy stripping, corner cut.
40:55So I've been going actually quite well.
40:57How about you guys?
40:59Yeah, I said apparel.
41:01Yeah.
41:01We, uh...
41:02Did some old-time entailings, didn't we?
41:04Might as well sluice it sitting there.
41:06Oh, really?
41:07Perfect.
41:08Anything you get is bonus.
41:09I mean, if the prize is off today, better than throw one of the white.
41:12That don't make no sense.
41:13Did it show anything?
41:15Well, there's a little bit.
41:17Could have better counted quick, I guess, huh?
41:19I'll pour slow.
41:19There were one, two, three, four, and a five, and a six, and a seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,
41:31twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fourteen, fourteen point, two, eight.
41:37Worth nearly $50,000.
41:40That all adds up.
41:41That all adds up.
41:43I'm proud of you.
41:45That is a good little venture.
41:47So you want to see what comes from the Indian?
41:49Okay, what do we got?
41:50So far, the early bird cut is averaging 270 ounces a week.
41:56Michael, ready to count?
42:00Ten, thirty, forty, fifty, hundred, hundred, ten, hundred, twenty, hundred, seventy, hundred, ninety.
42:08Two hundred, two ten, two fifty, two sixty, two seventy, two eighty, two ninety, three ten, three twenty, three thirty, three forty, three fifty, three ninety.
42:21Making the four?
42:23No.
42:23No?
42:24It's three nine eight point one eight.
42:27Worth almost $1.4 million.
42:31But I mean, you didn't make four.
42:32Oh my.
42:33Bringing the beat's season total to over 2,300 ounces.
42:40So that's not bad?
42:41You said at the beginning of the season that there were maybe some opportunities for Mike as soon as he started getting gold out of the hill.
42:47So what's happening with that?
42:50No.
42:51No, no, no, no.
42:52You got to get the thrombo going.
42:53That's where the real gold is going to come from.
42:56That's all there's to it.
42:57Just go bring me some more.
43:01Okay, see you later, guys.
43:03Yep.
43:03Bye.
43:05I do hope Tony will honor what he said to Mike because he's been working very hard to get this all sorted out.
43:11So he should get him set up.
43:14Honestly, Mike really deserves it.
43:18The frustrating part is I think I have a better chance of learning to breathe through my ass than I have him going out on my own.
43:23Whatever.
43:23Whatever.
43:32What's up?
43:33Yo, yo.
43:35Well, how did we do this week, Chris?
43:36Roxanne's just chugging away.
43:38Man, that was an unreal pan down there at Sulphur.
43:42That pan was probably one of the best ones we've ever seen.
43:44It's up there.
43:45Top ten.
43:47I hate saying anything.
43:48I don't want to jinx anything, you know.
43:50Yeah.
43:50I'm pretty good at that.
43:54How's your juggling act going?
43:56You know, it's keeping me busy, that's for sure.
43:59We're going to start out with you with Bob.
44:01How's that?
44:02Sure.
44:03Let's see how Bob did this week.
44:05Big Bob.
44:05At Dominion Creek, Tyson's been running wash plant Bob in the bridge cut, where it's averaging 170 ounces a week.
44:15Here we go.
44:16We got 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 160, 180, 188.4.
44:31Nice.
44:32Not bad.
44:33That's a good weight.
44:34So, Bob's chugging along.
44:36Brendan, you want to do a slucifer here?
44:38Go for it.
44:39All right.
44:40Slucifer, in the Golden Mile, is pacing 200 ounces a week.
44:4520, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 200.
44:56Holy s***.
44:58232.1.
45:02Wow.
45:03Holy s***.
45:04Yeah.
45:05Nice.
45:05That's pretty cool, isn't it?
45:06Beautiful.
45:07That's a good week for Dominion.
45:09420 ounces or something?
45:11That's a good number.
45:13And then there's Roxanne Mitchell.
45:18Woo, she looks heavy.
45:19Let's see what we got here.
45:23All right.
45:23Ready to rip.
45:25Ready?
45:26Yep.
45:26Now it's time to find out if Parker's move to extend the cut at sulfur will pay out.
45:3250, 100, 150, 100, 150, 200, oh yeah, keep going.
45:44250, a little bit more.
45:47300 right on the dot.
45:52300 right on the dot.
45:53Plus this.
45:55We have another one.
45:56Ooh, it looks like it's got a load in there.
45:59Ready?
45:59all right we're gonna keep adding to her there's another 40 80 100 106.5
46:17406.5 ounces okay yeah yeah boy Mitch go ahead go ahead and take everything up
46:26there with just one plant Mitch has nearly matched Tyson's two-plant run
46:35too that's a lot for one week yeah so this week our total is eight hundred and twenty
46:42seven ounces sick is that crazy or what I was not expecting that eight hundred and
46:51twenty seven ounces at record prices is worth 2.89 million dollars the most cash
46:59Parker's ever banked in one week that Parker's happy face there we go 800
