00:00Try and avoid too many fry-ups.
00:01All that grease, all that fat means that your stomach stays fully for longer with lots of acid in it.
00:07So better to choose maybe a yoghurt bowl, maybe some nuts in there for energy,
00:12maybe a banana for energy and fibre, probiotics in the yoghurt, of course.
00:17That's the first thing you can do.
00:18The second thing you can do is to, if you're going to have a drink,
00:20and of course you're going to over Christmas,
00:22but maybe not so many bubbles because champagne and bubbles are quite acidic.
00:27Probably better to go for red wine or even gin.
00:31That's doctor's advice there.
00:33Perfect.
00:34The other thing is eat early in the evening.
00:37Don't leave it too late because your stomach takes two to three hours to empty.
00:41So best to go to sleep on an empty stomach rather than a full one.
00:45Sleep on your left side.
00:46Really?
00:46Using gravity and anatomy.
00:49On your left side?
00:50On your left side because your stomach's more on your left side.
00:52So the acid is down there.
00:54And of course antacids.
00:55Antacids to neutralise the acid and stop that burning feeling.
