00:13You should make a game is something that I heard Cantol's times.
00:19But for a long time I was searching to the right path to the story I truly wanted to tell.
00:25Thanks to the businessman Tomáš Baťa and his company, Zlín became during the interwar period a progressive city,
00:33shaped by modern ideas and vision of unified architecture.
00:39People who came to the city were amazed by the high-rise buildings and work of functionalist architects.
00:47A poor boy could become a master craftsman and secure a home for his entire family in a modern Baťa house.
00:56It was a unique time that will never happen again and it's a story I want to capture for the whole world.
01:03Because Baťa ideas and thoughts live on in the city and its people to this day.
01:10Our game, Zlín City, is a cozy historical city-building strategy created with real miniatures.
01:18At the time when most things are generated I choose to go opposite way and create something unique, tangible and new.
01:26By doing that I am also continuing the tradition of Zlín Film Studios because I believe that just like film even games can be art.
01:35All of this using the latest technologies and methods.
01:39Modeling, 3D printing, photogrammetry and 3D scanning and game engines.
01:51My studio Polyperfect has a lot of experience in the game development.
01:55And for this project I've invited the best professionals from Zlín to help me bring the game to life.
02:01From painting, designing gameplay mechanics, to composing original music and even to historical research which we take very seriously.
02:13As you can see this is an extremely demanding undertaking involving thousands of house of work.
