Transcript
00:00:00Hey, boss.
00:00:06Vince, Merry Christmas.
00:00:08What's up?
00:00:10Investors are nervous that you're never at the office.
00:00:13And the board is expecting an action plan, bud.
00:00:18Tell them I authorized the buyback.
00:00:20Move fast before age opens.
00:00:25You know, boss, most billionaires sneak away to islands.
00:00:30You come here and play with cars.
00:00:34Maybe you need to find a nice girl, settle down.
00:00:44Well, maybe find a nice girl.
00:00:49You try being a billionaire and finding a nice girl.
00:00:52You know, I haven't met a single person who hasn't wanted me for anything other than my money.
00:01:00Hi. My car just died half a mile down the road. Do you think you could take a look?
00:01:12I'd be happy to miss...
00:01:15Just call me Dory.
00:01:16Just call me Leo.
00:01:18Thank you again.
00:01:23Seriously, I don't know what I would have done.
00:01:28Please, what kind of man would I be if I didn't help a damsel in distress?
00:01:32It's my night in shining armor.
00:01:38This is the best hot chocolate I've ever had.
00:01:40Oh please, it's the instant stuff. I found it in a cupboard over there.
00:01:44Seriously though, thank you.
00:01:46All the other mechanic shops are closed. It's Christmas Eve.
00:01:48Yeah look, Joy, I'm actually not a mechanic...
00:01:50You don't have to explain anything to me.
00:01:52I know times are tight. I just got off a shift at the hospital.
00:01:57Um...
00:01:58One second, one second. I'm sorry.
00:02:01Oh, um, I have to take this. One second.
00:02:07Hey mom.
00:02:08My beautiful daughter.
00:02:09I can't wait to see you.
00:02:11And I'm so excited to meet your fiance.
00:02:14You're bringing him to Clovis, right?
00:02:16Do something now!
00:02:31Her hair is tingled in a zipper.
00:02:33Look at the blood job.
00:02:36A patient is a patient is a patient.

00:02:50Bianca?
00:02:53Joy, you have to tell me.
00:02:55Am I going to be meeting my future son-in-law this Christmas?
00:03:01Joy, am I going to be meeting my future son-in-law this Christmas?
00:03:05Yes.
00:03:07Yes.
00:03:08My fiance will be there.
00:03:11He's looking forward to meeting you.
00:03:13Of course.
00:03:14She's engaged.
00:03:16Damn it.
00:03:29Can I talk to you about something?
00:03:30You're cheating on me.
00:03:33And with her?
00:03:34It's no biggie.
00:03:35It's just a blowjob.
00:03:37Come on.
00:03:38The zipper's killing me.
00:03:39Daryl, do something!
00:03:41Come on!
00:03:47Daryl, I'm going to kill you!
00:03:56Here.
00:03:58This will take the edge off.

00:04:55Well, I want my ring back.
00:04:58Well, you're gonna have to dig through your shit to get it because you just swallowed it.
00:05:04No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:05:13No, no, no, no, no!
00:05:14Come on!
00:05:16Fuck!
00:05:19Are you kidding me?
00:05:21How am I supposed to find a mechanic on Christmas Eve?
00:05:25And that's the whole story.
00:05:29Wow, uh...
00:05:31Crazy.
00:05:32I-I'm sorry to hear about all that.
00:05:34Don't be.
00:05:35Glad to be rid of the douchebag.
00:05:38But now I have a bigger problem.
00:05:43Okay.
00:05:45You're gonna think I'm a lunatic, but I need to bring somebody home as my fiancé to fulfill my mother's final dying wish.
00:05:51And I sure as hell am not gonna find anybody five hours before my flight on Christmas Eve.
00:05:55Wait, you're not gonna propose to me, are you?
00:05:58I know we only met, like, an hour ago, but you're still the nicest guy I've met, like, ever, so...
00:06:05You are gonna propose.
00:06:06Leo, I'm out of options, okay?
00:06:08My mom means everything to me.
00:06:10It's only temporary, and since you're working Christmas Eve, I figure you could use the extra cash.
00:06:13How about that, so I'm...
00:06:14I'm a nurse, so I can barely make ends meet, as it is, but I'm sure we can find a middle ground.
00:06:21My good sir.
00:06:24What do you say?
00:06:25Would you want to help this damsel in distress just one more time?
00:06:38Leo, would you do me the honor of being my kind of fiancé just for this Christmas?
00:06:48Please?
00:06:48Well, your carriage awaits, m'lady.
00:06:57Really?
00:06:59Yeah.
00:07:00Okay.
00:07:04So, but let's go back to my place and clean up, because we kind of have a flight to catch.
00:07:11Welcome to my manor.
00:07:20The bathroom's that way.
00:07:21Feel free to run the water while I grab you a clean shirt.
00:07:23It takes a while to heat up.
00:07:24Uh, should be towel in there.
00:07:28You need anything?
00:07:30Okay.
00:07:32Oh, it's cold.
00:07:32I can't believe I just got engaged to a total stranger.
00:07:42He seems like a really nice guy.
00:07:45I just hope I don't regret this.
00:07:47It's all for you, mom.
00:07:48Okay, here are some close...
00:08:10I'm so sorry.
00:08:23I'm so sorry.
00:08:25No, no, no.
00:08:25Don't be.
00:08:27Hey, we're gonna be husband and wife soon.
00:08:31I don't mind you seeing me naked.
00:08:36Yeah.
00:08:37Yeah, you're...
00:08:38You're right.
00:08:39Um, I'm gonna...
00:08:40I'm just gonna give you some space.
00:08:42I'm gonna put these out there.
00:08:46What?
00:08:47Oh, my God.
00:08:50Joy.
00:08:52Keep it together.
00:09:03Hey, mom.
00:09:04We're about to leave for the airport.
00:09:05I'll see you soon.
00:09:07I love you.
00:09:08Bye.
00:09:09I'm sorry.
00:09:35Again, I'm gonna give you some space.
00:09:41Oh, my God.
00:09:43When did the grease-stained mechanic from an hour ago turn into a supermodel?
00:09:47I can't believe your boss let us use his private jet.
00:09:57Yeah, he lets me hitch a ride anytime it's not in use.
00:09:59I've never even flown business.
00:10:00I've never even flown business.
00:10:04Uh, yeah.
00:10:06Me neither.
00:10:08Economy all the way.
00:10:11So what's Christmas like in Clovis?
00:10:15Oh, God.
00:10:16God, growing up, Christmas was just magical.
00:10:20My dad would drag in a Christmas tree, and my mom would make hot cocoa, and there was snow
00:10:27everywhere.
00:10:28The town would sparkle.
00:10:30It was like living in a snow globe.
00:10:33It was before my dad passed away, and my mom got sick.
00:10:40Plus, it hasn't snowed in Clovis in ten years.
00:10:42Not once.
00:10:48Champagne, miss?
00:10:52Thank you, sir.
00:10:56There'll be a slight change of plan, if that's all right with you, of course, sir.
00:11:01We'd like to take on two extra passengers.
00:11:03A commercial flight got grounded, and we'd like to help out, if that's okay, sir.
00:11:08Yeah, I'm, uh, I'm sure he would be okay with that.
00:11:15Who?
00:11:16My boss.
00:11:18Your boss?
00:11:20Yes, my boss.
00:11:22Ah, your boss.
00:11:27Thank you very much.
00:11:29It's okay with you, right?
00:11:31Yeah, it's worth the merrier.
00:11:33Cheers.
00:11:34Cheers.
00:11:38Joy.
00:11:48What the hell are you doing here?
00:11:57Joy Harrington.
00:11:59Didn't expect to see you flying private?
00:12:02Sure as hell didn't expect to see you here either.
00:12:05We're flying to Daryl's for the holidays.
00:12:06He's introducing me to his mommy.
00:12:09Take a note to the Aiden Comfort Ball, of course.
00:12:14It's a charity event for the Clovis Hospital Heart Foundation.
00:12:20The sick people who are poor like Joy's mom.
00:12:23He's a pretty boy.
00:12:25He's...
00:12:25I...
00:12:26I...
00:12:28I am...
00:12:29Her boyfriend.
00:12:31Boyfriend?
00:12:33You mean to tell me you were sneaking around behind...
00:12:35No, no, no, not sneaking.
00:12:37No, I've had a crush on Joy since...
00:12:40I mean...
00:12:41Forever.
00:12:43And when I found out you were out of the picture, I just...
00:12:46I just snatched her right up.
00:12:47Well, you can keep your little boyfriend.
00:12:50I guess I got the ring.
00:12:53You gave her my ring?
00:12:58I paid for it.
00:12:59No.
00:13:03I'm sorry.
00:13:05I'm sorry.
00:13:06Just let me...
00:13:07Let me get this straight.
00:13:08Um, Bianca is wearing a ring that you dug out of your own shit?
00:13:14What?
00:13:17Daryl, is that true?
00:13:20Daryl?
00:13:22Daryl?
00:13:22No, I mean, I can explain.
00:13:27Get it off me, Daryl!
00:13:28Get it off me!
00:13:29Get it off me!
00:13:31No, Kerala!
00:13:32Get it off me!
00:13:33Get it off me, Daryl!
00:13:34Get up!
00:13:35Get up, Daryl!
00:13:36Get up!
00:13:37Look, I will...
00:13:39I'll give you a new one.
00:13:40I promise.
00:13:41I promise.
00:13:42Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
00:13:44This is your captain speaking.
00:13:45We'll be cruising at 38,000 feet.
00:13:47Looks like stormy weather ahead.
00:13:49So keep those seatbelts fastened.
00:13:51Be my DNA forever, I'll be right.
00:14:01Look.
00:14:02He's got grease under his fingernails.
00:14:06So gross.
00:14:07Leo's a mechanic.
00:14:09Ew.
00:14:11Looks like you finally found someone who is your match, Troy.
00:14:14Someone who can patch your tires and change your oil.
00:14:18Better a man who works with his hands than one who's never worked a day in his life.
00:14:25Yeah, family owns clothes, floor, and carpets.
00:14:28Rich's family, isn't it?
00:14:30Sure.
00:14:31Certainly never bought you glass.
00:14:34So.
00:14:36Ma'am.
00:14:37I'll take that.
00:14:44I just love getting to ride on these private jets.
00:14:49It's just like so much fun.
00:14:51Oh, I'm so sorry.
00:15:10Oops.
00:15:11Looks like you're all washed up, Joy.
00:15:13She never did know how to dress for first class.
00:15:19Excuse me.
00:15:21Joy.
00:15:24It was just a joke.
00:15:26It's a joke.
00:15:51Joy, are you okay in there?
00:15:52I don't know.
00:15:52I don't know.
00:15:54I don't know.
00:15:55Joy.
00:15:56Joy.
00:15:56I don't know.
00:16:26They are so ridiculous.
00:16:33You look amazing.
00:16:56Yeah.
00:17:03The champagne never tasted so good.
00:17:06It's a happiness.
00:17:14It's gone.
00:17:16Oh, my God.
00:17:46Please return to your seats immediately, passing your seatbelts, and prepare for an emergency.
00:17:59What?
00:18:00We're all gonna die.
00:18:01We're all gonna die!
00:18:02We're all gonna die!
00:18:03We're all gonna die!
00:18:04We're all gonna die!
00:18:05This is not supposed to happen.
00:18:08I don't do a fucking thing!
00:18:13Joy, Joy.
00:18:14Just look at me.
00:18:16Hey, look at me.
00:18:18Don't look anywhere else, okay?
00:18:20Yeah?
00:18:21Yeah.
00:18:22I'm scared.
00:18:25I got you.
00:18:27I'm alright!
00:18:29It's okay, it's okay.
00:18:31I got you.
00:18:41Joy.
00:18:44Hey, Joy.
00:18:45Joy, wake up.
00:18:46Stop it.

00:19:01I think so.
00:19:02Oh, thank God.
00:19:03Hey.
00:19:04Hey.
00:19:05You alright?
00:19:06I think so.
00:19:07Oh, thank God.

00:19:09What happened?
00:19:10What happened?
00:19:11What happened?
00:19:12Well, the landing gear failed and we hit hard, but hey, we're alright.
00:19:18You.
00:19:19You.
00:19:20You.
00:19:21You're bleeding.
00:19:22No, no, I'm fine.
00:19:23I'm over here.
00:19:24I'm fine.
00:19:25Okay.
00:19:26I'm over here.
00:19:27I'm fine.
00:19:28You're sick.
00:19:29Okay.
00:19:30Oh.
00:19:31You're alright.

00:19:36I'm fine.
00:19:37You're sick.
00:19:38Okay.
00:19:44Oh.
00:19:45You're lucky.
00:19:47It's deep, but I don't think anything's broken, okay?
00:19:50Hold on.
00:19:52Hey, hold on.
00:19:54Hold on.
00:19:59The front of the plane's gone.
00:20:02It's okay.
00:20:03It's okay.
00:20:04I think it's split off in the trees.
00:20:07The pilot and the flight attendant are there.
00:20:09I-I should go find them.
00:20:10No, you're not going anywhere on the sweat, okay?
00:20:14I'll go.
00:20:19It's-it's getting dark.
00:20:20We better move together.
00:20:24Find that clearing out east.
00:20:27Yeah.
00:20:28Let's see if there's any help.
00:20:35Okay.
00:20:48Oh, hello.
00:20:49We're dying here.
00:20:50Stop messing around and help us.
00:20:52Did you take an oath?
00:20:54Yeah, that's doctors.
00:20:55I'm a nurse.
00:20:57Plus, you seem fine.
00:20:59Ah.
00:21:00Thank God.
00:21:01Daryl!
00:21:02Call for help!
00:21:03There's no service.
00:21:04No!
00:21:05So we're trapped in the middle of nowhere.
00:21:06We'll freeze to death.
00:21:07What?
00:21:08What?
00:21:09What?
00:21:10What?
00:21:11What?
00:21:12What?
00:21:13What?
00:21:14What do we have to eat each other?
00:21:15I saw that movie.
00:21:16That's enough, guys, okay?
00:21:18What?
00:21:19All right, here's what's going to happen.
00:21:21I'm going to start a fire.
00:21:22You two are going to stay here, warm and safe.
00:21:24Joy and I are going to look for help.
00:21:27There's no way you're leaving us here where bears can eat us.
00:21:29I saw that movie, too.
00:21:32All right, fine.
00:21:34Just stay close by.
00:21:36All right, don't fall behind.
00:21:38All right, let's go.
00:22:03Let's go.
00:22:31Look.
00:22:33Wait.
00:22:34Who lives in the middle of a snowy forest?
00:22:36He could be a serial killer.
00:22:38I saw that movie.
00:22:40Oh my god.
00:22:43All right, here's where you are.
00:22:47Don't fall on.
00:22:48Oh, my god.
00:22:49You are going to fall asleep.
00:22:51One of the snow.
00:22:52Two of the snowy foresters.
00:22:53One of the snowy forest.
00:22:54Oh, my God.
00:22:55So is my treasured.
00:22:57Well, now.
00:23:00Looks like the storm blew in more than snow.
00:23:03Well, come on.
00:23:05Come in.
00:23:06Then, before you catch your death of cold.
00:23:15Finally, civilization.
00:23:19Well, it's subtle.
00:23:22Our plan went down about eight miles west, and we left two people behind in the forest.
00:23:27Okay, well, I do keep an old shortwave radio, which isn't much use these days, but she does crack all to life, if you're patient.
00:23:44There's a two-man chopper at the ranger station. We'll get help to them as soon as possible. Don't you worry.
00:23:57The storm's kicking up something fierce. Roads will be impassable till morning.
00:24:07It looks like you'll be here for the nights.
00:24:12Well, I'm Joy. This is Leo.
00:24:17Daryl Chase, Clovis Florn Carpets. This is my beloved Bianca.
00:24:23The name's Chris.
00:24:27Okay. We'll have to make do.
00:24:36Leo and Joy, you're down here in front of the fire.
00:24:41There's a sofa for Joy, and Leo, you don't mind sleeping on the floor, do you?
00:24:46Not at all.
00:24:47Which means that Daryl, Bianca, you're upstairs in the attic.
00:24:50Huh?
00:24:57You sure you're fine with the floor?
00:25:12Yeah, I'm all good.
00:25:12I'm all good.
00:28:12It just makes me sad.
00:28:16The town wilts at the holidays.
00:28:20Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas without snow.
00:28:22Is this it?
00:28:38Mom, my baby.
00:28:43You made it.
00:28:44I miss you so much.
00:28:48You look great.
00:28:51Mom, this is my fiance, Leah.
00:28:53Oh, son, you've made this old woman so happy.
00:28:59Only thing I want before I die is to see my daughter get married.
00:29:03Love her.
00:29:04Don't talk like that.
00:29:06Well, it's true.
00:29:08Okay, stop.
00:29:09Let's get you inside out of the cold.
00:29:13I'll make us some tea.
00:29:18It's pulmonary disease.
00:29:21The farm, my salary, we can't afford the trials.
00:29:24You say it's terminal.
00:29:26You say it's terminal.
00:29:38Let's go.
00:29:39Oh, it's so cruel.
00:30:06At least, we made it.
00:30:14You think this is funny?
00:30:19I hate Joy Harrington.
00:30:22I hate her.
00:30:23And I swear to God, if it's the last thing I do, she's going down.
00:30:44What's wrong?
00:30:45Mom, I checked the books.
00:30:56There's no money left.
00:30:58It's the medical bills.
00:30:59They've drained everything.
00:31:02But what about the farm?
00:31:03It's only a matter of time.
00:31:06I have a confession to make.
00:31:08I spent what little was left on two tickets for you and Leo to attend the Aiden Comfort Ball.
00:31:19Mom, your father and I met there 30 years ago.
00:31:23He parked cars.
00:31:25I waited tables.
00:31:27And I was dreamed of seeing you there as a guest dressed like a princess.
00:31:32Then that's what you'll have.
00:31:41And I decide.
00:31:42City boy's got some country hands after all.
00:32:07Hello.
00:32:20Hi, you.
00:32:21Hello.
00:32:22Coming from outside?
00:32:23Yeah.
00:32:31Bar man, hands off.
00:32:33These are for the church drive.
00:32:37Let's go.
00:33:04Let's go.
00:33:04Let's go.
00:33:05Let's go.
00:33:07Look, I know we barely know each other.
00:33:21But you seem happy here.
00:33:24Yeah, I like, uh...
00:33:27I like, uh, simple life.
00:33:30There's joy in simplicity.
00:33:31Come on.
00:33:36I have to show you something.
00:33:36Huh?
00:33:37Hi.
00:33:42Hi.
00:33:43Hi, Mrs. Talbot.
00:33:44Would you like some?
00:33:59Ten, please.
00:34:00Mrs. Talbot, this is my fiancé, Leo.
00:34:03Hi.
00:34:03Nice.
00:34:04Hi.
00:34:04Take this.
00:34:07Would you like me to take these to your car for you?
00:34:09Oh, no, son.
00:34:10I've got it.
00:34:11Here.
00:34:12Your kids.
00:34:13Have a good night.
00:34:14Merry Christmas.
00:34:15Merry Christmas.
00:34:17Well, if it isn't Mr. and Mrs. Old MacDonald.
00:34:20Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh.
00:34:22Y'all accept, uh, black cow eggs, or just I OUs?
00:34:28Except manners.
00:34:32Close floor and carpets.
00:34:34Close floor and carpets.
00:34:34Close floor and carpets.
00:34:38You ever lay anything so besides, uh, eggs and cow?
00:34:43Aw.
00:34:44Wouldn't it be a shame if all these precious eggs got broken?
00:34:48There's no chance.
00:34:48Hmm.
00:35:10My bad.
00:35:14Here, listen here. You're gonna pay for every last one of those. You hear me?
00:35:19Oh, really? What did you just say to me?
00:35:22I said, you're gonna pay for every last one of those.
00:35:27Do you want to say that again?
00:35:34Whoops! There we go again.
00:35:39Ew, gross.
00:35:41You bitch!
00:35:42These eggs are contaminated. My mama got horribly sick from these eggs. She almost died.
00:35:47No, no, no. They're fresh. All right, I gathered them myself this morning. They're as safe as they get.
00:35:53Watch.
00:36:05Fine. Then we just find another way to destroy them.
00:36:09Then we just ruin them another way.
00:36:15Daryl!
00:36:17Daryl! What are you doing?
00:36:19Daryl, what are you doing?
00:36:20That was something you're a bad idea.
00:36:22They're in my pants! They're in my pants!
00:36:24What? Get them off me!
00:36:26Get them off! Get them off! Get them off!
00:36:28Get them off me! Get them off me!
00:36:31Get them off me! Get them off me!
00:36:32Did that just happen?
00:36:38Oh, I guess karma's got a way of getting back.
00:36:43So...
00:36:48Yeah.
00:36:52What is...
00:36:54What is that?
00:36:55Is that honey?
00:36:57Yeah.
00:36:59What the...
00:37:02What the...
00:37:07What is it?
00:37:09No, it could be.
00:37:29It's done.
00:37:32Two.
00:37:33Go fish.
00:37:37Ten.
00:37:39Power's out.
00:37:45Damn.
00:37:47I'll go check the barn.
00:37:49You're not alone.
00:37:50You're not.
00:37:51I guess the truth is I'm really scared of losing her.
00:38:04It's just all I've got, you know?
00:38:07I'm sorry for dumping all this on you.
00:38:11No.
00:38:12Don't be sorry.
00:38:13I've, uh, you've been carrying a lot.
00:38:17What about you?
00:38:19What do you carry?
00:38:23You know, I guess...
00:38:24I've been running.
00:38:25Running from what?
00:38:26From a life that isn't mine.
00:38:27What do you mean?
00:38:28Well, you know, I mean the city life.
00:38:29You know?
00:38:30The noise, the traffic.
00:38:31It's...
00:38:32It's...
00:38:33It's not where I want to be.
00:38:34Yeah.
00:38:35You get that?
00:38:37Mia?
00:38:42Yeah.
00:38:43Yeah.
00:38:44Yeah.
00:38:46Yeah.
00:38:47I mean, the city life.
00:38:48You know?
00:38:49The noise, the traffic, it's...
00:38:52It's not where I want to be.
00:38:54Yeah.
00:38:55You get that?
00:38:56Mia?
00:39:03Mia?
00:39:11Vince, what are you doing here?
00:39:13Vince!
00:39:14Boss, we need to talk in person.
00:39:16Yes, boss.
00:39:18Like he said, Vince is my boss.
00:39:21He owns the shops I work in.
00:39:26Pleasure.
00:39:29Hi.
00:39:30I'm Joy.
00:39:31I'm sorry about your jet.
00:39:33My...
00:39:34Yeah, the jet that crashed and got destroyed because of the storm.
00:39:38Your plane crashed?
00:39:40Was my reaction when I was informed.
00:39:44But I can see that you're all right, and that's the important thing.
00:39:56Uh...
00:39:57I'm gonna give you two a minute.
00:40:11Vince, what the fuck are you doing here?
00:40:14There's something going down with Gatekeeper.
00:40:16It's not safe to talk on the phone.
00:40:18Wait, what?
00:40:19We discovered a breach.
00:40:21A mole.
00:40:22On the inside.
00:40:24They're leaking top secret information.
00:40:26Designs.
00:40:27Upcoming bids.
00:40:29Personal information.
00:40:31About you.
00:40:32If the mole keeps bleeding the company, Gatekeeper collapses.
00:40:37Okay, then you plug the leak however you can.
00:40:39Slow it down.
00:40:40Stop the bleeding.
00:40:41What are you saying?
00:40:42I'm saying I need more time.
00:40:43I am not ready to go back.
00:40:44Not yet.
00:40:45Gatekeeper can't survive without you.
00:40:46And this girl?
00:40:47She's a liability.
00:40:48You do not.
00:40:49Say that about her again, okay?
00:40:50Fine.
00:40:51What did he mean?
00:40:52I'm a liability?
00:40:53No, I'm not ready.
00:40:55But why not?
00:40:56I'm saying I need more time.
00:40:57I am not ready to go back.
00:40:58Not yet.
00:40:59Gatekeeper can't survive without you.
00:41:00And this girl?
00:41:01She's a liability.
00:41:02You do not.
00:41:03Say that about her again, okay?
00:41:04Fine.
00:41:07What did he mean?
00:41:09I'm a liability?
00:41:12What did he mean?
00:41:14I'm a liability?
00:41:18Who was that man?
00:41:22Who was that man?
00:41:23He's my boss, like I said.
00:41:25And it was just shop talk.
00:41:26What is gatekeeper?
00:41:28It's the string of garages that he owns.
00:41:31Okay, he acts like he can't survive without me.
00:41:34It's ridiculous.
00:41:34So we came all the way here to tell you that?
00:41:38He's on vacation.
00:41:39In Clovis?
00:41:40Yeah, I told him what a magical place this town is.
00:41:46What is it you weren't telling me?
00:41:55Mom.
00:42:01Mom, what happened?
00:42:03It's okay, baby.
00:42:04These are happy tears.
00:42:06Someone's paid for my medical bills.
00:42:09What?
00:42:09And they found a specialist.
00:42:11He thinks he can help me.
00:42:13It's a Christmas miracle.
00:42:15Wait, is that?
00:42:45No, no, it couldn't be.
00:43:00Yeah, I was 12 and my parents got me a brand new bike and I crashed it right there.
00:43:06Right here?
00:43:07Same day.
00:43:08Mr. Hollander had just patched me up in the break room.
00:43:11Oh, this is a cute story.
00:43:14It's a cute dress.
00:43:21Okay, that is more than I make in six months.
00:43:38Well, well.
00:43:50Playing dress up, Joy.
00:43:53Or are you just shopping for things you'll never own?
00:43:56I'm actually going to the bar.
00:43:58Going?
00:43:59Really?
00:44:00What could you possibly afford?
00:44:02Scrubs?
00:44:03Overalls?
00:44:04Pigskins?
00:44:05Oh, please.
00:44:06That dress is for fairy tales, not farm girls and nurses.
00:44:12I'll take it.
00:44:13I'll take it.
00:44:14I'll take it.
00:44:15Box it up for the ball for me.
00:44:19I don't think this is your size.
00:44:20You should come back when the tailor is here.
00:44:26Fine.
00:44:27Better luck next year.
00:44:33Darlene?
00:44:34What?
00:44:35What?
00:44:36What?
00:44:37Darlene, what?
00:44:38What?
00:44:39What?
00:44:40What?
00:44:41What?
00:44:42What?
00:44:43Darlene, what?
00:44:44What?
00:44:45What?
00:44:46What?
00:44:47What?
00:44:48What?
00:44:49What?
00:44:50What?
00:44:51What?
00:44:52Darlene, what?
00:44:53What?
00:44:54What?
00:44:55What?
00:44:56What?
00:44:57What?
00:44:58What?
00:44:59What?
00:45:01Don't do something.
00:45:02Get down.
00:45:04Get down.
00:45:05Get down.
00:45:06Get down.
00:45:07Okay.
00:45:09I think this is our best one.
00:45:14I think this is our best one yet.
00:45:16You know, I'd have to agree with you.
00:45:18Well, I think it's time for me to turn in.
00:45:22Good night, Mom. Good night.
00:45:25Good night.
00:45:32What is that?
00:45:38For me?
00:45:40I guess Santa came early.
00:45:44The dress.
00:45:57I've had some savings.
00:46:00You deserve for one night to feel like a princess.
00:46:05Besides,
00:46:06I have never been happier than my time here.
00:46:10Leo.
00:46:17What's that? Did you hear that?
00:46:34I'll go check it out.
00:46:36Stay here.
00:46:36Is somebody out there?
00:47:03No.
00:47:04Is this the one?
00:47:08Um, I think we should call it a night.
00:47:10Call it a night?
00:47:20Let's see.
00:47:50No. No, no.
00:47:55Is that... Joy?
00:48:02He thinks he can play house in his podunk little town and let the empire run itself?
00:48:08Well, not a chance.
00:48:10Once his name hits the headlines, the board's gonna panic.
00:48:14And when they do, they'll come to me.
00:48:17That's my dress. You stole my dress.
00:48:21That will do something!
00:48:23Yeah, it was a joy. You never dressed like that when we were together.
00:48:27Daryl!
00:48:29Calm down, baby. I mean, seriously, look at her.
00:48:34Relax, Bianca. I don't think anyone here is looking at you anyway.
00:48:38Excuse us.
00:48:42Talk to you later? Joy?
00:48:51Carter!
00:48:53Is that you?
00:48:57Carter.
00:48:59Carter.
00:49:00So, how did that merger go?
00:49:07I think you have me mixed up with someone. I'm just a mechanic.
00:49:11No, no, no. I never forget a face.
00:49:15Clearly, you do.
00:49:17Whatever.
00:49:17You're not telling me something.
00:49:27Maybe I like to keep a little mystery.
00:49:32You need some hair.
00:49:33Miss Water, please.
00:49:51Don't think for a second you belong here.
00:50:00You'll always be the nurse in scrubs, emptying bedpans.
00:50:04And you'll always be irrelevant.
00:50:07You think you can steal my dress and my spotlight?
00:50:10Here, nurse. Stitch this.
00:50:13Oh, I can't do it.
00:50:26Dammit.
00:50:26Yes.
00:50:27Do.
00:50:30Do.
00:50:31Don't ever touch her again.

00:53:53Do something, Daru!
00:54:18Do something!
00:54:19That's a humility!
00:54:42All right.
00:54:43Joy, Joy, wait.
00:55:00You told me you were a mechanic.
00:55:02Just some regular guy or anything but.
00:55:05Was this just all some joke to you?
00:55:07No, no, no. Can you just listen to me?
00:55:09You lied to my face, Leo.
00:55:11You lied to my mother.
00:55:12You let me fall for some story.
00:55:13It wasn't a story, okay?
00:55:15I met you, and you were remarkable, okay?
00:55:19I panicked. I got caught up, and I just went with it.
00:55:22But for a minute, I lived a life that I've always dreamed of, okay?
00:55:27And I could finally breathe.
00:55:29What part of it was real, Leo?
00:55:32The guy in the barn?
00:55:34The guy at the gala?
00:55:35Or the part where you made a nurse believe that the guy that she was kissing was a nobody like her?
00:55:39Joy, all of it with you is real.
00:55:42Okay? Every single moment.
00:55:43You had a hundred chances to tell me, and you chose not to.
00:55:48You know, I was afraid that if you knew the truth,
00:55:51that I'd lose you.
00:55:55Well,
00:55:55you did.
00:55:57Mom, he fooled me.
00:56:07I don't even know who he is.
00:56:10But you do know him, Joy.
00:56:12Maybe not the name on his bank account, but you know the man.
00:56:16The one who sold eggs with you, who fixed things, who chopped wood and carried hay.
00:56:22The one who stayed when he could have left.
00:56:27The one who saved my life.
00:56:32What?
00:56:32What are you saying?
00:56:36The medical bills that was him?
00:56:38Who else?
00:56:40Joy, I've lived long enough to know that the measure of a man isn't in his money.
00:56:46It's in how he loves you.
00:56:48And that man loves you.
00:56:52Mom, I think...
00:56:53I think I love him too.
00:56:56And maybe it's time you forgive him.
00:57:00I told him it was over.
00:57:05I said...
00:57:06I said things I can't take back.
00:57:10Then you show him you didn't mean it.
00:57:13Do you think he'll forgive me?
00:57:16All you can do is ask.
00:57:18I hope it isn't too late.
00:57:37She's out in the barn.
00:57:40Go.
00:57:40Go.
00:57:48Leo.
00:57:59This is my dream.
00:58:02You and me.
00:58:04It's so simple to me.
00:58:05I don't care if you have money.
00:58:07I don't care if you don't have money.
00:58:08I just want to be with you.
00:58:11If you could...
00:58:13Please just forgive me for what I said.
00:58:18Only if you can forgive me for being too afraid to tell you the truth.
00:58:24Yeah.
00:58:28I shouldn't have doubted you.
00:58:29I know who you are, but I don't want there to be secrets between us.
00:58:34No.
00:58:34No more secrets.
00:58:36No more secrets?
00:58:37No more secrets?

01:01:37You're careful.
01:01:38You're careful.
01:01:54Mom?
01:02:05Leo?
01:02:09No, stay behind me.
01:02:11There's somebody in there.
01:02:14Doris!
01:02:16Mom?
01:02:23Oh, my God.
01:02:32Yeah.
01:02:46Where is she?
01:02:47Relax!
01:02:48She's alive.
01:02:50For now.
01:02:53Pins?
01:02:56Pins?
01:02:57Took you long enough.
01:02:58Where is Doris?
01:03:00Alive.
01:03:01For now.
01:03:02But her future depends entirely upon you.
01:03:06What have you done?
01:03:08I didn't just know about the leak, Leo.
01:03:10I orchestrated it.
01:03:12The documents, the press whispers, the boardroom panic.
01:03:16All me.
01:03:17Oh, and you sweet old lady.
01:03:20Yeah.
01:03:21That was me too.
01:03:23I've dumped this company.
01:03:24For years in your father's shadow.
01:03:26I bled for Gatekeeper whilst you hid from it.
01:03:29You don't deserve it.
01:03:30I do.
01:03:31You son of a...
01:03:32One signature.

01:03:58If it's the only way.
01:03:59Mom.
01:04:14Right on time.

Some of these are actually getting better. This had a cute plot. Decent script. Well acted for the most part. I could do with less screaming, from the scheming narcissist, but hey... I would say well done. Enjoyed it.
Glad it’s the right movie definitely gives a hallmark kind of feeling
