00:00Welcome to GC Communications. Thank you so much for this opportunity. We'd really like to elaborate a bit more on Bavaria's new campaign. So, could you tell us a little bit about the promotion in general—what it involves, how it works—so we can ask any further questions?
00:17To tell you a little bit about it, well, really, since we had our rebranding back in July, we wanted to focus quite a bit on supporting local talent. We've always supported national talent, but we wanted to take advantage of this rebranding to create a platform called Dale Zoom, which, well, I remember you were there at the event.
00:46So I imagine you remember that, right? Dale Zoom, well, it was born from this idea of wanting to be a spotlight on national talent. So, Bavaria C, we operate in four different areas: music, gastronomy, fashion, and art, and for the relaunch, we're starting with the music side.
01:09So, we didn't just want to grab and say that we support it, or, right?, or just grab and take some actions with a specific group, as was the case, right?
01:22Saint Cecilia and Mishkat, right? They were part of the song from Black Moon 2, and that's also the song we used in our commercial.
01:30In this commercial, then, we were also working with our allies, such as Andrea Cader, Santiago Fernández and Elo de Saturno Rosa.
01:37And so, after receiving so much positive feedback, right?, we really wanted to bring this to life in something tangible, right?
01:46So, that's when we started negotiations with Mario Miranda, who is one of the members of the band Patterns.
01:55He is also a producer.
01:56So, with him, we allied ourselves and began having conversations with different artists and different bands.
02:03As you'll see on the vinyl, it's not just established bands like San Cecilia, right? Mishkat, Patterns, McVijay, Voodoo,
02:17They are already, perhaps, a little more established, but we also wanted to include emerging bands and artists, such as Una Cala, Flor de Doppler, Sebas Guillén,
02:25in order to be able to grasp and not only support what is already established, but also what is emerging, right?
02:34So basically, that's part of what we see as our DNA, right?
02:39of always wanting to highlight what's here in Costa Rica, because, well, we've already seen a lot of news in these last few months
02:48that have come out that the Tico does not support artists, national music.
02:54So, with this we also want to take and say, okay, here is the national talent, let's zoom in on these bands, these artists,
03:05And in this way, we can take them on and support them on their musical platforms.
03:14Sara, how was the actual selection process? Because in the end there are many national musicians, both established and emerging.
03:21So, how did they manage, in the meantime, to choose a small group?
03:26Because in the end, the possibility of entering the first stage becomes very small, perhaps.
03:33Because I imagine Bavaria is going to bring much more than what they're releasing with the vinyl.
03:38Well, simply put, for us we made a mix, right?
03:41So, thanks also to Mario Miranda's team, they also gave us recommendations.
03:46Bavaria also has a strong presence in the music scene, but it's not all about music, is it?
03:53We focus much more on pop, indie, and rock.
03:56So, we wanted to bring together different bands, both established and new, to be part of this project.
04:04Because, even though, as I was saying, that is, in the end, even though we include bands that are already established,
04:09This is a big boost for them too, because, for example, McPy J grabbed and put Cactus,
04:14which is their first song in Spanish from the new album they just released.
04:18So, for them it was also super important to be able to grab hold and say,
04:22We're going to put it on this vinyl record so people can have access to it.
04:27that I can hear it more and that it can also be played on different radio stations.
04:31Because, apart from the support we give it in digital and such, which is obviously the strong point, right?
04:39We also have, well, these tours, these interviews.
04:42So, all media outlets can also grab their own vinyl for raffles.
04:49So, we wanted to support not only the established companies, but also the new ones.
04:54which is also like a Kala, for example.
04:56Kala is 24 or 25 years old, she only has one song and it's a song that has been played a lot on all the radio stations.
05:04He's positioned himself very well, and he's working on his new album.
05:06So, we feel like in the end, by supporting equal or smaller talents,
05:13We too are doing our bit to support them in their musical career.
05:21What's it like in general? How does the process actually work at Bavarian for people to get their vinyl records, right?
05:27It's like part of the campaign, to get people to listen to the music and be part of actually getting it.
05:34Well, we've received so many comments that, well, people are going crazy, aren't they?
05:40And that fills us with joy because we feel that we are definitely achieving what needs to be achieved.
05:46And well, you can get it through either our Bavaria social media channels.
05:51The artists also each have two vinyl records to grab and raffle off.
05:56For example, Flor de Doppler has a concert, if I'm not mistaken, it's this weekend.
06:00And they're going to raffle it off there with their people, with their fans, because in the end...
06:05Ah, well, to finish up.
06:06Well, and through you, through the media outlets with which we are conducting interviews.
06:11And part of what I wanted to tell you is that when we started having these meetings with them,
06:18Talking to them about the project and all that, they would say, "Yeah, and I have to follow some script or something."
06:23And I mean, look, the campaign messages are there.
06:25In other words, we want to support you, but we have never wanted to interfere in your essence.
06:31nor in how they themselves want to communicate it.
06:34I mean, I was telling them, I mean, if you want to take this and do exactly what Flor de Doppler is going to be,
06:39Well, congratulations, that's great.
06:41Ultimately, for us it's always about the connection we can have with our consumers.
06:46but also with people who are music fans, who support national talent,
06:50who want to own this vinyl record, because they are fans.
06:52And there are also a lot of collectors now, what's the word?
06:56As people who collect vinyl records.
06:59So, yes.
07:02How many impressions do you plan to give, more or less?
07:06There are at least 70 of them, around there.
07:13There aren't many of them; it's a very limited edition.
07:15It's very limited, okay.
07:16No, it's for then so that people are aware, right?
07:20So, if his favorites follow him, they themselves will give him the expression
07:25and that they obviously follow Bavaria's networks.
07:26So, if you'd like, Sara, let's invite people to follow the campaign.
07:31But I think it follows the background of the actual campaign a bit more closely.
07:36which is to support national talent in general.
07:38As you say, it's the first phase of making musicians,
07:41But the whole fashion, food, and everything else is there too.
07:43I think it's important to highlight what you want with this.
07:48From Bavaria, we really invite everyone who, well,
07:51who follow us and also their favorite national artists,
07:54Because in the end we are creating a very beautiful union,
08:01precisely to set the standard and demonstrate that there is talent in Costa Rica,
08:05to go against all those statistics that we want to fight, battle and everything,
08:11And be vigilant, because in the end, as you mentioned, starting next year
08:17We're coming with many other things, also within the area of music,
08:22But also everything related to fashion and gastronomy; those two are coming on very strong.
08:27So, art, well, we always include it as this second territory
08:33who will always be there to support others, right?
08:36Because within everything we see, there's always this artistic itch.
08:40That, indeed, stands out.
08:43And that's what we want to do, to continue being that focus
08:46for national talent within our different territories
08:50and to continue with this support.
