00:00You, Ally Stegnita from Hollywood Life.
00:03Oh, so, Miracle Workers, such a fun show.
00:06What was it like working on the show?
00:08It was fantastic. It was awesome.
00:10Like, it's one of those shows where, you know, TBS gave us, like, and Simon, you know,
00:15a huge amount of, like, creative freedom to tell the story that he wanted to
00:19and the way we all wanted.
00:21And then that combined with just, like, a great bunch of people that you want to hang out with.
00:26So it was just, yeah, it was a joy.
00:28I'm very, yeah, it's, you know, it was one of those jobs that you go, like,
00:31oh, I'm really lucky on this one.
00:33Like, everyone's lovely and I'm doing this amazing material.
00:35And, like, yeah, it was very exciting.
00:38Did you have to do anything to tap into your funny bone?
00:41Um, just not really.
00:42Just, like, rely on, like, Yorma and Simon and all the people and all the directors.
00:47And just, like, being around people like, I mean, Karin Soni and Lolly and Geraldine.
00:51Like, they're all very, very funny people.
00:53I think you just, like, kind of relax.
00:54Yeah, if you, if you, we had a, like, an environment was created where everyone felt
01:00okay to just, like, screw around and have fun and it was very relaxed.
01:03And so, yeah, I think that was conducive to hopefully being funny.
01:07Yeah.
01:07Well, you've done it all.
01:08You have done film, TV and Broadway.
01:11Do you have a favorite medium?
01:13Um, not really.
01:14I feel just, like, immensely lucky and happy to be doing any of them when I am.
01:20Um, I, like, the immediacy of theater, like, is great, especially when you are doing a
01:24comedy on stage.
01:25Like, making a room full of people laugh is, is a really fun feeling.
01:28Um, but, like, I grew up on film sets.
01:30So, I think any kind of, like, film or TV set I'm generally, like, very, very happy on.
01:35Um, now I have to ask, if you don't mind, do you have a favorite memory from your Harry
01:40Potter days?
01:41Um, oh, man, it, like, it, that's a very hard question only because there are so many
01:46very, very good memories.
01:48Um, I don't, like, I have one, like, just, like, a weird surreal moment that I'll carry
01:54with me my entire life is one morning I came in and, uh, Gary Oldman gave, taught me how
02:00to play the, uh, the bass line to come together by the Beatles on, uh, bass guitar that I was
02:05learning at the time and he also plays bass.
02:06So, like, I had a bass lesson from Gary Oldman one morning.
02:09I think that was, that was pretty great.
02:11That's pretty epic.
02:11Yeah.
02:12Pretty epic.
02:13Well, we're so excited for Miracle Workers Season 2.
02:16Yes.
02:16I can't wait.
02:17What are your hopes for Season 2?
02:19Um, just that it is just as funny and crazy and hopefully, uh, heartfelt as, as Season 1
02:25was.
02:26Like, if we can, the, the, the most important thing for me about Season 1 is, like, the tone
02:30where it manages to be both incredibly dark and, and sort of, um, you know, very darkly funny
02:36but also have this incredible warmth and kindness about it.
02:40Um, so I just want to make sure that we carry that into the second season.
02:43Um, and yeah, just hopefully it'll be really funny.
02:46Amazing.
02:46Thank you so much.
02:48Do you mind if we take a quick photo?
02:50I'm, like, grabbing my phone out of my thing.
02:52I never do this.
02:52Thank you so much, Danielle.
