00:00Celebrities are joining protesters across the nation and using their platforms to speak out on the tragic death of George Floyd.
00:13Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life and in this video we're gonna go over some of the celebrities that have been joining the George Floyd protests that are now happening across the world.
00:22Let's start with Jamie Foxx who recently attended a press conference in Minneapolis telling the crowd,
00:27I think that what you saw on television to watch this man plead for his life as I sit with my two daughters, my nephews.
00:34What it does, it overcomplicates everything as a black man trying to tell his son or his daughter how to function in life.
00:42Even the things that we've taught them don't seem to work.
00:45Tinashe joined protests in LA tweeting,
00:47We were there to protest against police brutality and black lives, period.
00:52I will also protest peacefully today.

00:55Ariana Grande was also spotted taking part in the protest in Los Angeles on May 30th carrying a black lives matter sign and she shared video clips of the crowd as she marched alongside them.
01:05Palsy shared details of a protest she was at to her Instagram story revealing that during the peaceful protest rubber bullets and tear gas was fired at them multiple times by police officers.
01:17She wrote,
01:18We were peaceful, hands up, not moving, not breaching the line.
01:21They opened fire multiple times.
01:23I was hit twice, once by pellets, once by shrapnel.
01:26We were gassed repeatedly for hours.
01:29She was also spotted with young blood giving first aid to injured protesters.
01:33Madison Beer who was protesting in Santa Monica said she was also tear gassed and warned protesters on social media that several arrests were being made.
01:41Chrissy Teigen, Janelle Monae, Seth Rogen and many more celebs have pledged money to bail out those who are arrested nationwide.
01:49Jay-Z reached out to the Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to put Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison on the George Floyd case.
01:57He said, quote, prosecute all those responsible for the murder of George Floyd to the fullest extent of the law.
02:04Beyonce also asked for signatures for a petition calling for charges to be brought against the other officers involved in Floyd's murder.
02:12Billie Eilish also shared a lengthy post on social media that everybody should read.
02:17She was responding to the All Lives Matter response to the Black Lives Matter movement that many people have been using for years.
02:25Billie Eilish said, no one is saying your life doesn't matter.
02:28No one is saying your life is not hard.
02:30This is not about you.
02:31Society gives you privilege just for being white.
02:34We have to address hundreds of years of oppression of black people.
