00:00You've obviously been to several finals, but could this be a catalyst?
00:05Can this be a confidence booster?
00:06Can this be an experience that you think can help this team,
00:11this franchise, get to perhaps a place that it hasn't been in a long time?
00:16For sure, Mark.
00:16You know, during the course of the year,
00:20you try to find situations to put pressure on your group,
00:24and we divvy the season up into five-game segments,
00:28and we try to tell our guys, hey, we'd like to go 5-0.
00:314-1 is pretty good.
00:33We'll take 3-2.
00:34So I do that again to try to put pressure on them and let them know, okay,
00:38where we went during those five games.
00:41And so to manufacture it during the regular season is tough just because you have so many games.
00:45But you've got to give Adam a lot of credit in the NBA League office
00:49to create an environment like this because it helps us coaches
00:52add pressure to your group early in the season.
00:55This is a single-elimination tournament when you get to a certain point.
00:58So every game counts.
01:01There's pressure on every game if you expect to be who you think you are,
01:05and so that pressure is manufactured without you as a coach having to try to do it all the time.
01:10And when you're able to have success doing it,
01:13it breeds confidence in everybody within the organization.
01:17And that can propel you come the right time when you're in that environment
01:24to be able to handle the pressure because you've already been through it.
01:28So there's a lot of positives about it,
01:29but the most positive is being able to hang a banner up in MSG,
01:34the most iconic arena in the league.
