Filmas „Išnykimo valanda“ atskleidžia paslaptingą įvykį ramiame Maybrook miestelyje, kai vienu metu iš klasės dingsta 17 mokinių. Vienintelis likęs berniukas turi fragmentuotus prisiminimus ir mato nepaaiškinamus įvykius, kurie nepalieka abejingų. Veteranų pareigūnas ir mokytoja imasi tyrimų, kurie veda prie mistiškų ženklų, nepaaiškinamų garsų ir tamsių paslapčių, slypinčių po miestelio paviršiumi. Šios intrigos sprogdina vaizduotę ir kelia klausimus, kuo iš tikrųjų yra šis dingimas.
