00:08It's time to meet the new Batman and Catwoman. Well, kind of.
00:12In Fox's highly anticipated Commissioner Gordon original series Gotham,
00:17touch actor Daveed Masseuse will take on the role of the young Bruce Wayne.
00:22But how young is he? Let's just say he's not even old enough to drive a Batmobile.
00:27Joining him is Cameron Vikandova as a pre-teen Selina Kyle, an unpredictable teen orphan and a street thief who, as we know, goes on to be known as Catwoman.
00:38In the new TV series, Masseuse's Bruce Wayne is a boy who leans on his butler Alfred and Commissioner James Gordon for guidance after his wealthy parents are murdered.
00:49But he will not become Batman in the show, something Warner Brothers made very clear when they announced the casting news.
00:55That's because a lot of the action will surround a young court, played by Southland star Ben McKenzie, and the villains causing chaos around him.
01:04So who are these villains we speak of?
01:07So far, the show has tapped Jada Pinkett Smith as mob boss Fish Mooney, and Robin Lorden Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin.
01:17Don't worry, guys. Even though he never puts on a cape, the folks behind the show promise us a look into Bruce Wayne's evolution to becoming the caped crusader we now know him to be.
