00:00I know what the show is, and they admit that, and then they say, but I kind of love it.
00:04It's really fun.
00:05The vulnerability more, which I think is a real strength of Emily.
00:08So this year was really fun.
00:10Gosh, Italy is unlike anything else.
00:14It's just the warmth there in the people and the locations and the just the architecture is so divine.
00:22It's also just incredibly crazy to be walking around looking at this ancient, these ancient artifacts.
00:28You know, I'm like so blessed to be able to walk in and among them and film them.
00:33And Venice I'd never been to before, so it was a magical experience for all of us.
00:37The canals, I mean, it's mind-bogglingly beautiful, and everyone embraced us there.
00:42It was truly stunning, but there's nothing quite like Paris.
00:51Do you want to see something in Italian to say?
00:53Ciao.
00:54Ciao, Belle.
00:55Ciao, Belle.
00:57Bellissima.
00:57It was so cheap, I was thinking.
00:59I had to pop into Ashley Park's room, of course, just to have a little giggle, as we always do.
01:08Yeah, my career, the biggest change is that now my work is recognized abroad, outside of Italy.
01:16So, yeah, this is a thing.
01:20I mean, this means many new opportunities for me and for my career, and I'm happy about that.
01:29For sure.
01:29I mean, it's been a big one, but I'm happy about it.
01:31I mean, the biggest éxito, I'm happy about it.
01:31I'm happy about it.
01:32There were people waiting for you here, but you can see me still in the world.
01:33I love it.
01:34So, yeah, I like the people.
01:35in Italy, tourists, a lot of tourists. Italian are more, you know, more relaxed.
01:42It was, yeah, it was a big responsibility for me. I'm not joking. It was like a great
01:54responsibility, a great emotion and even a great pride to show the beauty of these cities
02:04to the whole world. And for me, yeah, it was like, it wasn't easy. For me, it was easier to film here in Paris
02:17because I was more relaxed.
02:25I feel like it gets deeper between Gabriel and Emily in terms of, like, the feelings and the conversation gets deeper.
02:32Not essentially romantically, but there's a connection that is more mature.
02:37It's pretty steamy this season, I think. Really unexpected, too. I think for us...
02:42I love also, like, Mindy did a lot of action randomly this season. She was on a horse, she was in a harness twice,
02:48she did stunts, she was in a boat many, many hours. I feel like it was definitely not the show
02:53where she was, like, sitting in a cafe talking to Emily this season. And I really love doing action
02:58and a lot of, I got to do physical comedy, which I love so much, and I would love to keep doing stuff with that.
03:03Yeah, what happened is that Rome was suddenly more relaxed, more colorful.
03:08There was an openness about the character in Rome that we translated with, you know, more relaxed and colorful clothes.
03:17As soon as we came back to Paris, it was like, back to corseting the character.
03:22And, yeah, clearly has to do with the other personality that Sylvie shows.
03:30And, well, for me, as I was raised in Rome, it was very special. It was, it was a very, very emotional moment.
03:39And, I don't know, I feel at home when I'm there. So, almost more than in Paris, you know, for some reason,
03:48because it has to do with my childhood, so, of course. So, it was great. It was, it was, it was vacation.
03:55It wasn't really work. Yeah.
04:00When I did a lot of night shooting, to come back at maybe two or three o'clock in the morning when there are no tourists,
04:08and sometimes my driver would just stop, and I would walk around the Piazza Venezia or the Fontana di Trevi,
04:16and I would just walk and there would be no one. It was three in the morning, and I felt, I felt like I was in a Fellini movie.
04:22Always amazing.
04:27It just made me want to spend more money on clothes. I mean, as if I didn't already spend enough.
04:34But, it made me go shopping in my closet to find things that I might not have worn in a long time,
04:40and to put them with other things. But, the clothes are so beautiful, and the clothes that I wear on the show are,
04:46they're kind of crazy.
04:48Gosh, I'm wearing Dolce & Gabbana head to toe, with a little bit of my own jewellery on as well.
04:53So, yeah.
04:54Can you see your jewellery?
04:55Thank you. It's my little, little numbers.
04:57I love the people coming in, guys.
05:00Gosh, I'd say steam ratings. I'd say we get to a 9.8.
05:12It's a hot season. We turn it up a little bit. It's good. It comes out Christmas. It's winter for most people.
05:18So, I'd like to turn it up.
05:24Gosh, I think Paris feels like home now.
05:27So, Rome felt like a little bit of a vacation, which was nice.
05:31But, yeah, Rome at 2 a.m. is one of the most magical cities.
05:34The history, you feel it. You walk in them streets, and it's alive.
05:39I've never been to Rome. I've never been to Rome. I've never been to Rome in my life.
05:49So, I've discovered Rome.
05:51And I've discovered...
05:52The food is incredible there.
05:54I'm not interested.
05:55So, the first weeks, I ate more than visited.
05:57But, yeah, it was cool.
05:59And it also allows the history to all shuffle.
06:02To all change.
06:03To put the characters in new situations.
06:05And it's super funny. It's really good.
06:07Is it like, you know what I mean?
06:11Like to be with Roberto Benigni.
06:14So, no. A lot of loud, a lot of joy, a lot of warmth from the Italian crew.
06:20I loved it.
06:21No, it was great. It was really great.
06:23And it's a sexy season, I feel.
06:26Especially for Nico, specifically.
06:28You know, I get...
06:29It's such a gift as an actor.
06:30And I'm so grateful that he got to open up this season.
06:33You know, you get to see...
06:34He had such an armour in the previous season.
06:37You really get to see a side of him that's...
06:40You get to see the heart that beats behind him.
06:42And that was a gift.
06:44So, yeah, I had a lot of fun.
06:46Somebody asked me what was the best thing about shooting in Rome.
06:49I'm like, listening to Italian all day.
06:51You know?
06:52And like that, you know, France and Italy are so...
06:55So, we're cousins. We're brothers and sisters.
06:58And Paris and Rome are like...
07:00They're like sister cities a little bit, you know?
07:02So, it brought a lot.
07:04Being there brought a...
07:05You know, it refreshed the Emily in Paris adventure.
07:10And it made it richer.
07:12You know?
07:13It's quite intense.
07:14Yeah, I have to admit that it's quite intense.
07:15So, yeah.
07:16I can't get to see too much.
07:17But I think that, globally, not only for Laurent and Sylvie,
07:18but the whole season is marked by this character.
07:21It's going to be...
07:22There's going to be...
07:23There's going to be a lot of turbulence.
07:24I think that, globally, not only for Laurent and Sylvie,
07:27but the whole season is marked by this character.
07:33There's going to be...
07:35There's going to be a lot of turbulence.
07:37I'm going to say...
07:42I've already been in the United States.
07:45I made a movie with Matthew Modine,
07:47there, at LA.
07:48So, I know how it's going on the American plateau.
07:51But, there, we were in France.
07:54And then, it was at the end of five seasons.
07:56It's the fifth season.
07:57So, there's a family that was established.
07:59But what was extraordinary,
08:00it was that I felt part of the family
08:03since the first instant,
08:04the first moment where I put my feet on the plateau.
08:07And...
08:09And so, it's been a joyous,
08:12an amusement.
08:13Darren Starr,
08:14it's been an incredible confidence.
08:17So, it's inspired.
08:19It's inspired, it makes...
08:21It gives me legs, actually.
08:23I love the way this series talks about women.
08:28It's just elegance, humor and freedom.
08:34Everything will happen.
08:36Everything will happen.
08:37.
08:49You
