00:00Fail to the Chiefs. It's the stunning end to an era as KC out of playoffs. Whoa, it's the end to
00:07the Mahomes-Kelsea era, but I don't think that we just automatically go out there and count the
00:12Chiefs out or don't disrespect this franchise by putting them in the bum team category in the NFL.
00:19Will they be as dominant as we're used to seeing in the past? I don't know. It all depends on how
00:24Mahomes bounces back from the ACL injury that he suffered on Sunday, but let's remember, this is
00:302025, y'all. An ACL injury isn't career-threatening or ending like it used to be back in the day.
00:37Guys come back stronger than they were before the injury, and we compare a Patrick Mahomes to the
00:44GOAT, right, and Tom Brady. Well, I don't know if you remember, but Tom Brady tours ACL and MCL in 2008,
00:52and what did the Patriots do? They went back and they won three Super Bowls after he came back.
00:57So when we say it's the end of a dynasty, I disagree with that. Until proven otherwise,
01:03it's only the end of a Hall of Fame duo because we all know they're more than likely going to lose
01:10a 36-year-old Travis Kelsey who we can all agree, and I think he'll agree himself, that he's lost a step.
01:17But I have all my trust in GM Brett Veach to reload and at least keep this franchise competitive.
01:25He's hit on his drafts, he's hit on trades throughout the years, and Frank Clark, what he got for Tyreek Hill,
01:32and when he went out and added DeAndre Hopkins to a then-depleted receiving court.
01:36This is a team and a franchise that has shown that it can win by playing whatever type of football
01:43necessary with whatever players they have suit up. On top of that, you still have a Hall of Fame
01:49head coach in Andy Reid and a Hall of Fame defensive coordinator in Steve Spagnuolo.
01:54You don't just count out stable franchises. You can doubt them, but you for darn sure don't
02:00disrespect them and count them out. For all things NFL, head on over to newyorkpost.com
