地球から11光年離れたイプシロン星のシャイディーン総統は、地球の加藤博士が研究している惑星間を自由に移動できるタイムリンクル理論の存在を危惧し、地球に特使を派遣して加藤博士に共同開発を提案しようとしていた。だが、親善使節団（シャイザック）を任された爬虫類型人類である司令官ゴルテウスは自らの欲望（我侭）を優先させて命令に背き、地球侵略を開始してしまう。そして、タイムリンクル理論が完成することで母星に越権と不祥事が発覚することを恐れたゴルテウスは、加藤博士の家族を人質に取って研究を止めさせようとする。母と兄を人質に取られた加藤博士の息子ユージは仲間達とともに、合体指令メカ・ペンタゴラスと状況に応じ変形合体が可能な巨大ロボ・バラタックでゴルテウスのムチャクチャでヘンテコな作戦を阻止していく。

President Shaydeen of Epsilon, located 11 light-years from Earth, feared the existence of the Time-Wrinkle Theory being researched by Earth's Dr. Kato, which could enable free interplanetary travel. He dispatched an envoy to Earth to propose joint development with Dr. Kato. However, Commander Gorteus, a reptilian humanoid entrusted with leading the goodwill delegation (Shayzak), prioritized his own selfish desires over orders and initiated an invasion of Earth. Fearing that the completion of the Time Linkle Theory would expose his insubordination and misconduct to his homeworld, Gorteus took Dr. Kato's family hostage to halt the research. With his mother and brother held hostage, Dr. Kato's son Yuji, alongside his comrades, uses the Combination Command Mecha Pentaloras and the giant robot Baratack—capable of transforming and combining according to the situation—to thwart Gorteus's reckless and bizarre schemes.
