Agra (UP): A major uproar was witnessed in Mauhar village under the Kirawali police station area of Agra after local women vandalised a composite liquor shop located within the village limits on the Agra–Jaipur Highway.

The women alleged that their husbands had become habitual drinkers and were refusing to go to work, making it difficult to run their households. Angered by the situation, the women united and damaged the liquor shop, raising slogans and creating a commotion in the area. They stated that they would no longer tolerate the impact of alcohol on their families.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and questioned the women involved. Further investigation into the incident is underway.

The incident took place in Mauhar village, Kirawali police station area of Agra.
