00:05She opened up about the loss she was feeling on her Unlocked podcast
00:09after her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, began their combined 19-year prison sentence
00:14for their tax evasion and bank fraud scheme.
00:17She told listeners,
00:18So for those of you that are familiar with my family and have followed our lives
00:22and have also followed my podcast,
00:24you know that last week was an extremely difficult week for my family as a whole
00:28and for each of us individually.
00:30The former Chrisley Knows Best star continued,
00:32We kind of had to say goodbye to my parents for a little bit of time for the foreseeable future,
00:37and that was really, really, really tough.
00:39She explained that the podcast that was following her short statement
00:42was recorded on her mother's birthday before she reported to jail,
00:46and that next week's episode would dive deeper into how she and her family are doing
00:50since her parents are no longer physically present.
00:53Currently, Todd is serving 12 years in jail while Julie is serving 9.
