00:00We've got a big cherry blossom tree in the garden which we all love
00:03and I quickly realised that Chris's chemo would finish when the cherry tree in the garden would
00:08be blossoming. So we painted a big huge brown tree with no leaves or blossom on it and then
00:16I bought some lovely bits of pink blossom and every day the kids would get up and each stick
00:22a piece of blossom on the tree with the idea that we were helping daddy regrow. By the end of the
00:27chemo it was into springtime and this this cherry blossom tree was was growing and regrowth the
00:34rebirth and it was it was very symbolic. I wanted to make cancer and chemotherapy part of our lives
00:40they were scared they'd heard about cancer questions come very quickly will he die will
00:46I catch it did I cause it was it because I was naughty and they didn't quite verbalize that but
00:51that's one of the very common things for children. I was trying to do it for Chris really as much as
00:56the children help Chris see that the trees are stripped bare and they're taken down to nothing
01:02but they regrow. Every day you come down for breakfast and you'd see it and it just would look a little
01:06bit bushier the inverse of me where I was you know getting more and more unwell with it but actually
01:13seeing that I was getting through this and it was gonna it was doing something positive
