00:00So I hate that I need to talk about the thing that I need to talk about, but as I do need to talk about it, we're going to talk about it, and here's a quick lesson.
00:07Yes, hello, I am Frinkled and Frinklehoop, the wrestling teacher, and I have my teaching stick right here. Don't you tell me it's not a stick. It is.
00:14Because look, here is your number one lesson. When it comes to YouTube videos, specifically wrestling YouTube videos, the whole point is fun.
00:22That's it. We're trying to have fun. We're trying to have a conversation. We are just massive nerds. Don't make me cover you with a stick.
00:28Right, good. Get it? Excellent. It's just not always about clickbait. Oh, it's called clickbait. We're just trying to have a good time.
00:35I mean, have we all forgotten fantasy booking? That's half the reason we're fans for as long as we are.
00:40So now we've ironed that out. Here's 10 wrestlers that should jump ship right now. Why? Here's why.
00:52So let's not stand on ceremony, Mr. Wayne, and let's go in at number 10, Brian Cage.
00:57Now the good news, if you're a Cage fan, is that it does seem that Ring of Honor is about to start up again properly, and he's going to be a pivotal part of that.
01:03And everything he did with Team Taz a few years ago, I thought was pretty good.
01:07And also, if you go and watch his Impact work or any of his indie matches, you will say to yourself, oh, wow, Brian can go.
01:14I mean, seeing a man that big fly around is just fascinating.
01:16But do you want to know the main reason I'd like to see him go from AEW to WWE in this instance?
01:24It's because Vince McMahon loves muscles.
01:26Be it a Hulk Hogan, a John Cena, a Batista, or a Nathan Jones, I wanted to throw one name in there where it's like, well, he didn't do much of anything, but he was massive.
01:35Mr. McMahon just loves people that goes to the gym.
01:38And when you look at the wrestling scene right now, few people look bigger than Brian Cage.
01:43So this is mostly pure intrigue from me, but I think there's a universe out there where Brian Cage does go to WWE, and Vince McMahon enjoys his flexing so much, he makes him WWE Champion.
01:54And yes, I mean it, because once again, he knows what he's doing inside the squared circle, and all you've got to do is Brock Lesnar him, give him some kind of manager, or some kind of mouthpiece.
02:04I actually think you'd connect all the dots.
02:06So of course it's cool if he stays in AEW, but I got this thing in my tum-tum called an intrigue gland.
02:12And sometimes it goes off.
02:14Number nine is not as silly though, Sasha Banks.
02:17Now depending on what reports you want to believe, Sasha Banks is either under a WWE deal right now, or she's not.
02:22But regardless what the truth of the situation is, when you go back to a few months ago when she did walk out with Naomi, it's not the first time it's happened.
02:31And I think we can safely say the WWE and the boss don't really see eye to eye.
02:35There's nothing wrong with that either, because it is just a job at the end of the day, and that stuff happens.
02:39But much like Cesaro, who joined All Elite Wrestling recently, I think the one thing Sasha Banks needs right now is freedom.
02:47Freedom to do the character the way that she wants, freedom to have the matches that she wants, and just damn freedom said that word too much.
02:54And I don't mind that WWE has its playbook, but it just kind of feels to me like she's never going to usurp a Charlotte Flair, she's never going to usurp a Becky Lynch, which is kind of crazy to me.
03:04Like both of those two people are absolutely stars, but when it comes to Sasha Banks, I think she ticks every damn box.
03:12And yet during her WWE career, which has been great, it always kind of feels like she's been held back.
03:17If nothing else, we're just at a crossroad, so if she does go back to WWE, will it just go bad again?
03:23Sometimes you just need something fresh, sometimes you just need to do something new, and that's where I think we are right now.
03:29And who knows what happens after that, maybe she returns to WWE, and do not forget, somebody will be the first person to do that.
03:35They go WWE, AEW, WWE, or AEW, WWE, AEW, and yes, that individual could absolutely be Cody Rhodes.
03:45That's a different video for a different day.
03:47In at number 8 too, MJF, obviously.
03:50This is purely selfish too, but man, would it absolutely rock.
03:54Now I think from a legal angle, there's no way that this can even happen.
03:57But can you imagine if the last thing we saw Maxwell Jacob Friedman do in an AEW ring was go,
04:02I hate it, I don't want to be anymore, and then he just turns up on Raw, like he thinks he's flipping Lex Luger in the mid-90s.
04:09I mean, it would just be one of those moments that you remembered forever.
04:12And look, I am 99% sure that WWE and AEW are never going to work together in an official capacity.
04:19And the only reason I don't say 100% is because you never say never.
04:22But that means any narratives that we do get have to come out from situations like this.
04:27I've already mentioned Cody and why his jump was so big.
04:29And if Friedman did the same, again, especially given the story right now, I think I'd literally die.
04:36And again, do I honestly think this is what's going to occur?
04:39No, I don't.
04:40Not in a million years.
04:41I've just got my fantasy booker hat on again.
04:44Man, it would be glorious.
04:46Moving on to someone who actually deserves to be on TV more though.
04:50Dolph Ziggler.
04:51Now the issue with this one is that straight away a corner of the internet is shouting,
04:53no more WWE guys.
04:56And there really isn't a bigger WWE guy than Dolph Ziggler right now.
04:59Because he debuted in September 2005, which means he has now been with the company 17 years.
05:07And that is terrifying.
05:09And sure, he too got his moments, especially when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Alberto Del Rio.
05:14But really, I think a lot of us thought that one day he was going to have that big extended run.
05:21It never happened.
05:21It looked like it could happen at Survivor Series 2014, but it didn't.
05:25So that's as far as we can go with that one.
05:27And really, the biggest problem Dolphie Boy Blue had was that he was too good.
05:32I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous.
05:34It's like when a sports commentator goes, oh, well, he hit it too well.
05:37You're like, what the flub are you talking about?
05:39But WWE soon realized, oh, wow, we can give Ziggles anything and he knocks it out of the park.
05:45So they quite literally gave him everything.
05:47He is 41 years old as of me talking.
05:49So we still got a good few years left in him.
05:51And I would just love to see him be treated as a tippy top star at one point during his career.
05:56Because I truly think he would smash it.
05:59And there's the opposite to this as well.
06:00Because sometimes you need to see the writing on the wall.
06:03In at number six, Dominik Dijdikovic.
06:06The current day T-bar reminded us of his talent recently when he was in that last chance money in the bank battle royal.
06:11And if you do find yourself tuning in to main event, you'll probably look at Dom and go, oh, yes, that's pretty good.
06:18Ever since he was thrown into Retribution, though, which I think we can now say was not a good idea, he hasn't done much of anything.
06:25I mean, he had that tag team with Mace for a while when they're all like, oh, man, we're animals for the jungle.
06:31Well, let's face it, that was really weird.
06:33So these days he usually turns up, loses and then goes home again.
06:36But if you go watch his stuff in NXT or on the indie scene, once again, this guy's got talent.
06:41I just can't see a world now where WWE is actually going to give him an opportunity.
06:46I'm not even saying he has to go to AEW.
06:49If you put him in somewhere like New Japan that loves really tall dudes, I think he'd smash it.
06:53He could even be a world champion in somewhere like Impact.
06:56And even if he just returned to the greater wrestling world in general, the plus point to this would once again people be going, oh, man, that T-bar can go.
07:05And if he is going to stay, we really need to get rid of the T-bar name because it just conjures up bad memories.
07:09And if you take battle rules out of the equation, he hasn't been on a proper WWE program since February when he lost to Omos.
07:19And before that, it was December where he lost to Finn Balor.
07:24And this is why I think it's time to jump.
07:25Which is the same for his constant dark match opponent, Mustafa Ali.
07:30Now, there's not much to say about this one because you know the deal.
07:32Mustafa wanted to leave WWE.
07:35He tweeted this, but for some reason they said no.
07:38Eventually, they did get back on the same page.
07:40He had that short feud with Theory.
07:44And then once again, he was back to doing a whole lot of nothing.
07:46So who knows what's going on behind the scenes?
07:48But Ali is just so good.
07:51And given that he is 36 years old at the moment, he is basically in his wrestling prime.
07:56So somebody should be putting him on television every single week.
07:58So I just want somebody to give him a proper shot.
08:00And look, maybe we do give him the ball and he drops it.
08:03But at least then I would know.
08:05Although also, I highly doubt it.
08:07And once again, I'm not saying he has to go to All Elite Wrestling.
08:10There's so many options.
08:11I mean, can you imagine him in New Japan in that junior division?
08:15He'd smash it.
08:16And I would genuinely go out of my way to see him whenever he did decide to call home.
08:20I mean, just go onto his social media and watch these training montages he puts up.
08:25I really don't understand it.
08:27So it's stupid, as is my next suggestion, which is going to get a crazy reaction in at four, AJ Styles.
08:35So look, I'm being a nerd again.
08:37But given that Styles will retire sooner rather than later, I just want to see these matches before he goes.
08:42I want to see Styles versus Omega.
08:43I want to see Styles versus Hangman.
08:45I want to see Styles versus Adam Cole.
08:47I want to see Styles versus Orange Cassidy.
08:48I want to see Styles versus Darby Allin.
08:50Hell, I want to see Styles versus CM Punk.
08:53Now, again, do I actually think this is going to go down?
08:55No, I don't.
08:56Because AJ is making all the money in the world right now and is a big time player in WWE.
09:02But a boy can dream.
09:04Number three is a bit more specific and maybe out of nowhere.
09:07But I think in at number three, Avedon should go to WWE.
09:11Because here's the thing.
09:12Of all the companies doing the round, WWE is the one who quite likes the spooky dookie.
09:17I mean, we had it with Kane.
09:18We had it with The Undertaker.
09:19We had it with Bray Wyatt.
09:20And if you believe the rumor mill, the Judgment Day are apparently about to get a little bit supernatural.
09:25So they love it.
09:26And despite all that, when it comes to our female wrestlers, I can't think of many who have been given such an opportunity.
09:32Like, Luna did it back in the day.
09:35I really wouldn't call that a good example.
09:37And you did have it with Nikki Cross when she was Insanity.
09:40But as soon as they got called up to the main roster, we cut their legs off.
09:43So let's go get Avedon and push this as hard as we can.
09:47And I'm not talking boogeyman either.
09:49I don't want to turn up and go, oh man, I'll eat a bunch of worms.
09:52I think we should present her as terrifyingly as possible.
09:56Because I've seen her on Dark and Dark Elevation, etc.
09:59And every time I'm a bit, oh man, I want to run into her down Dark Alley.
10:03I just think it may be hard to crack in AEW now.
10:06Because the only place you could put her was the House of Black.
10:09But they went out there and got Julia Hart.
10:11And you just know if she did go to WWE, she'd be shooting fire.
10:14She'd be shooting lightning.
10:15And probably chokesamming somebody through her parents' graves.
10:19Because no matter how many years pass, you can never pretend that didn't happen.
10:25Because it absolutely did.
10:26And do you know who else I'd go nuts for if they turned up on Raw or SmackDown?
10:30Number two, Ricky Starks.
10:32And let me caveat this by saying that I don't care if Ricky turns up in GTZ,
10:36which is a promotion I just made up.
10:38It makes no difference to me.
10:39And he is smashing it in AEW.
10:41And I tell you this, one day he's going to go babyface and become the world champion.
10:46But much like Cody, who felt like he may get bigger opportunities,
10:48if he did go across the pond, I think it may be the same for Starks.
10:53And I know your instant reaction is, Simon, he's not big enough for Vince McMahon.
10:56But there's always an exception to this rule.
10:59And if you put a microphone in his hands, he's going to deliver every time.
11:03So I really do think this could be an AJ Styles situation from 2017,
11:07where slowly and surely he just gets given more and more and more
11:11until he's a pivotal part of the company.
11:13I mean, there's just so much potential with Ricky,
11:15which is why I feel if he does go out there and stir the pot
11:18and gets himself one of these moments,
11:20it may actually benefit him because coming out the other side,
11:24he's going to feel like a bigger star.
11:26So it could really raise his stock and allow him to get to the next level
11:28because really in AEW, the only thing holding him back
11:31is because they have a massive roster.
11:34And as ever, I'm cool with that, but there's always a negative side.
11:37I also just get a kick out of seeing a wrestler in a brand new environment,
11:41especially one I'm familiar with, but not familiar with them in it
11:44because it really does feel like Christmas and Hanukkah come together.
11:48So that's the main reason I want it.
11:50I'm being a geek again, but it's my video and I'll geek out as much as I want.
11:54Which is not the same for number one,
11:57because somebody get me Orange Cassidy on my WWE TV.
12:00And why?
12:01Because when he did sign for AEW,
12:03everybody melted down as if you're in professional wrestling these days,
12:07you can't have a gimmick.
12:09So if he did get signed by WWE and he had a run there,
12:12he could walk around and say,
12:14well, the two biggest promotions in North America hired me,
12:18so I must have done something right.
12:19I mean, honestly, make him WWE champion for all I care,
12:23because it would be tremendous.
12:24And don't pretend you don't want to see Orange Cassidy versus Roman Reigns,
12:29because you absolutely do.
12:30I mean, even if it's because of that bad part of your brain that's filled with fear,
12:33you'd still like to see it.
12:35And I've said it now,
12:36and I'm hoping because I have said it,
12:37we can manifest it into existence.
12:40Because honestly, it would probably be the best day of my life.
12:43I do want to end this video by saying,
12:44no matter who I've mentioned in this list,
12:46the most important thing is that said person is happy.
12:49Because really, we should want all wrestlers to be in good spirits,
12:52no matter where they ply their trade,
12:53WWE, AEW, Impact, New Japan.
12:56Because I tell you,
12:57sometimes we forget about the human side of sports entertainment,
13:01which is why I am bringing it back.
13:03Now, please do leave a comment below and let us know,
13:05who would you like to jump ship and where should they go?
13:07You can make anything up.
13:08They could go to WWE to some UK promotion.
