00:00This is a story of a great warrior from Indian mythology.
00:05He was son of a great demon king Ravana.
00:10Ravana was tyrant and used to torture upon sages and women.
00:15Ravana had many wives among them Queen Mindodori was the prime.
00:20When Mindodori delivered her eldest son, the sound of his first cry was like thunder.
00:25So, Ravana named his son Megnod, which means sound of thunder.
00:31Megnod grew up and learned all types of educations including weapons and magics from his guru, Sukrachaya.
00:38He trained hard and became a great warrior.
00:43Sukrachaya guided him to master all divine and demoning weapons and spells.
00:49He turned into an Adamaharadi who could simultaneously fight 12 great warriors.
00:54Once in a battle between gods and demons, Ravana was captured by Indra, king of gods.
01:01Megnod rallied his forces and freed his father from the gods.
01:11Then he captured Indra, king of gods in battle.
01:16Megnod brought Indra back to Lanka as a prisoner of war.
01:20On request of Brahma, the god of creation Megnod released Indra.
01:26Brahma on return, blessed him, and named him Indrajeet, the conqueror of Indra, the king of god and wielder of thunder.
01:36Brahma also gifted him two quivers, which never run out of arrows.
01:41Brahma also provided him a golden chariot, which used to appear when Indrajeet worshipped goddess Nikamhila and could never be destroyed.
01:50Brahma, also blessed him, that no one will be able to defeat him in a straight fight he could only be defeated during the time when he will worship goddess Nikamhila and will not have any weapons with him.
02:02Indrajeet, married, Sulochana, the daughter of Shnag, a snake princess.
02:08They were an example of ideal partners and remained loyal to each other till their deaths.
02:15Sulochana taught Indrajeet the deadly weapon Nagpash, which binds opponents using snakes.
02:20As a result, Rama's worshipper Hanuman, who was avatar of Lord Shiva arrived Lanka in search of Mata Sita, who was avatar of goddess Lakshmi.
02:38After meeting Sita, Hanuman wreaked havoc among the demons.
02:43Indrajeet's brother, Akshay, was killed in the process.
02:46Indrajeet came to the battlefield and captured Hanuman using the Brahma Pash, an unbreakable chain.
02:54Indrajeet and his uncle Bhai Bhaiyachan asked his father to return Sita, but Ravana was lustful and he set Hanuman's tail on fire.
03:03After that, Hanuman set the whole city of Lanka blaze and returned to Lord Rama, the avatar of god Vishnu, the god of preservation.
03:12Soon after this, the monkey and bear army of Ram invaded Lanaka.
03:19Demons fought them back, but lost many warriors to Ram, Laxman, and Hanuman.
03:25Finally, Ravana sent Indrajeet to battle.
03:28He destroyed millions of monkeys and bears.
03:31Ram and Laxman engaged in a face-to-face battle against Indrajeet, when everyone else failed.
03:38However, despite being the avatars of Lord Vishnu and Sunag, they failed to defeat Indrajeet and got entangled by snakes under his Nagpash.
03:48Indrajeet returned victorious to Lanka, it was the first victory of the demons since the invasion of Lord Rama.
03:56Rama and Laxmana were still stuck in Nagpasha and were about to die by morning.
04:01But, upon their prayer, Garuda, the lord of birds, the mount of Lord Vishnu, and the enemy of snakes freed them from Nagpasha.
04:11The next morning, Indrajeet returned to the battlefield and killed many more soldiers of Lord Rama.
04:18Once again, Ram and Laxman faced Indrajeet but failed to defeat him.
04:23Indrajeet used a great weapon of goddess Durga, also known as Devi Adi Shakti and pierced the chest of Laxman.
04:29This weapon was a lesser incarnation of the trident of Devi Adi Parashakti, no god or demon, including the trinity, could withstand the hit of the trident of Devi Adi Parashakti, the supreme mother.
04:43Once again Indrajeet, returned to his city victorious, in just two days he turned the tide of battle and killed 670 million soldiers.
04:53No one else achieved that in all Indian epics.
04:56Laxman was about to die, and his entire army, including Lord Rama, started mourning for him.
05:04But Hanuman saved him by bringing an entire mountain full of medicines, he carried it all the way from the Himalayas.
05:11Lord Rama's army was happy when Hanuman saved Laxman.
05:17Indrajeet understood that killing a god's avatar wouldn't be easy and suggested that his father, Ravana, return Sita and make peace with Lord Rama.
05:26But failed to pursue him.
05:29Indrajeet bid farewell to his beloved and only love, Salakana, and his parents.
05:35He started the penance of goddess Nikamhila, a form of Adi Shakti, to defeat Lord Rama and Laxmana once and for all.
05:42But to his bad luck, his traitor uncle Vibhasana got this news from his spies and informed Lord Rama and Laxmana.
05:50Hanuman and Laxman attacked the temple where Indrajeet performed his penance with a large army.
05:58They devastated the temple to intercept Indrajeet's penance.
06:03Indrajeet did not have any other weapons at that time.
06:06He attempted to use Brahmastra, Pashapatastra, and Narayanstra, the weapons of the Trinity, but they did not comply with his order and returned.
06:15Indrajeet still did not run away and fought with all the utensils he had in the temple.
06:21But he could not win against a great warrior like Laxman without his weapons and was finally shot dead by Laxman's arrow.
06:29Lord Rama and Laxmana paid him their last respect as a great warrior.
06:35His enemies praised him equally as his countrymen.
06:38His body was returned to Lanka with complete respect, and he was cremated there as the citizens of Lanka mourned at the loss of their beloved prince and strongest guardian.
06:49Despite being an enemy of Lord Rama, Indrajeet is highly respected, and many Hindu and Sikh people still use the name Indrajeet or Inderjeet.
06:58Despite supporting Lord Rama, no one uses the name of Vi Bishan and hates him for his treachery.
