00:01Big things have small beginnings.
00:05A high school drama club created an elaborate play based on the movie Alien,
00:09proving to the world you can do anything that you set your mind to.
00:15Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with some incredibly weird and awesome news.
00:19Should we coin that as a new series?
00:21On Friday night, I got a text from Nick, my producer,
00:24randomly telling me his hometown high school in North Bergen, New Jersey,
00:27did a play on the movie Alien and I was all like, why are you texting me?
00:31While I was confused at first, I later went on Twitter
00:34and saw it was trending across many news sites
00:37and when I looked further into it, I was not disappointed.
00:41Just check the facehugger scene out.
00:46What?
00:57Kids at North Bergen High School apparently made all this happen with zero dollars.
01:14That's right, they had no budget and made all the incredible props out of recycled materials.
01:19The kids even got the attention from a variety of celebs like Elijah Wood, AKA Frodo,
01:25Paul Scheer from The League praised the play saying that these kids need to be doing this on Broadway.
01:30Even the official account for Alien gave props to the children.
01:34Honestly, I'd pay more to see this than Hamilton.
01:37Okay, that might be a bit of a stretch, but I pay a decent amount.
01:40While there is only supposed to be two showings, the publicity the play is generating may allow for a third.
01:46Also, there's supposed to be a DVD with a full version coming out soon, so while we all missed it live,
01:51there's a chance some of us will be able to see how they did that infamous chestburster scene.
01:55All I know is I want to be Ripley for Halloween and have this adorable moonwalking xenomorph as my trick-or-treat partner.
02:01But alright, if you want more awesome weird news like this when your fave celebs are being boring,
02:10then hit the sub like and bell button for more.
02:12Also, comment which movie you think these kids should do next.
02:15I think Blade Runner.
