00:15Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with your YouTube roundup, starting with Jaclyn Hill.
00:20The beauty tuber has been receiving tons of backlash over her cosmetics line and was even the topic of discussion in Marlena Stell's recent feature-length video titled, Dear Influencers.
00:31Since the criticism, Jaclyn's accounts have disappeared from Instagram and Twitter.
00:35She didn't make any statements about departing and fans were left wondering if Marlena's video was actually the final straw for her.
00:42Many are also questioning Jaclyn's current mental state, but the good news is a fan account, Jaclyn Hill Closet,
00:49reports that they reached out to her boyfriend's mother who said Jaclyn is safe and just needs time.
00:54But okay, on to Team 10, because apparently if your name's Alyssa, you're not meant to be a part of it.
00:59By now you all know about Alyssa Violet, but most recently Jake tried to get another YouTuber by the name of Alyssa Kalani to join and things didn't quite work out.
01:08A few days ago Alyssa released a video titled, Why I Didn't Join Team 10, giving her side of what happened during the recruitment process and she explains why she turned down the offer.
01:18In the video Alyssa claims Jake used her and her boyfriend Tanner and Team 10 uncut without their permission and she defends herself against the accusations made in the series.
01:28Jake in the series goes on to say he hates bougie creators and refers to me as a bougie creator and goes on to say that he grew up in a shit hole and he made videos there.
01:39And I was also like what the f*** because I started making videos on my mom's iPad and like my first iPod that I had to buy with my own money I saved up for from like birthdays and Christmases.
01:52And that's what I made my videos on and I just uploaded them straight to YouTube, no editing, no nothing.
01:57So just the fact that he was comparing our lives like that when he knows nothing about me clearly is just a little bit f***ed up in my opinion.
02:05I also think he made it seem that I was ungrateful because I'm in this huge 10 million dollar mansion and I have all this space to film with and blah blah blah this.
02:12Like that's not what this was about. Like I did not want to join Team 10 for the clout, living in Calabasas, all this bull****.
02:18That's just morally not right to me. That's not what I want in life.
02:22The only thing I can say f*** you for is assuming my life and assuming where I come from because I have worked my ass off to get to this point.
02:33So, um, yeah, f*** you for that because I have worked so hard to get to this point.
02:39I don't know. That's kind of f***y to do to somebody, especially with the platform that you have.
02:45I think saying that to possibly harm someone's really hard earned career, uh, I don't know.
02:53However, despite all of this, Alyssa makes it clear her video is not an attack on Jake and the new Team 10.
02:58She's just been receiving a lot of questions from fans and from haters, so she felt the need to address the situation.
03:04Firstly, this is not a shade video. I'm not coming on here to be like Jake Paul, Team 10, f*** all the Team 10 members.
03:11That is not what this video is. Like I mentioned before, the people in Team 10 should be there.
03:17I think they've picked great people for that group and that is in no way saying that I'm better than them,
03:23um, that we're better than them because we didn't join and we're different.
03:27Like that has nothing to do with it. Like they are perfect for Team 10.
03:31I think Jake has put together a great group of people that were meant for that life. We were just not meant for it.
03:36I can't wait for the surplus of new why I left Team 10 videos later this year.
03:40And lastly, let's talk about Deji because he dropped a new video yesterday and it had nothing to do with KSI.
03:45Instead, Dej gives us an update on his current status and reacts to the death of Etika,
03:50saying that he wished he got the chance to know him better.
03:53I've been taking a break from social media and it saddens me that I found out that Etika has taken his own life.
04:00I only found out about this today and I was shocked. I can honestly tell you that I was shocked.
04:07I really wish I saw the video, I'm sorry, so I could have tweeted out or something just to stop him doing it.
04:17I really wish I could have just done something to help because I could empathize with him.
04:21I understood what he was going through. It was stress. Social media stress.
04:25And what people don't realise, just because someone has subscribers, money, fame, you really don't know what's going on in there.
04:32You honestly don't know. Because not to bring myself into this, I was going through the exact same thing.
04:38My brain was confused. So confused. I don't want to dampen the video, but I was getting some thoughts in my head.
04:50Like some very bad thoughts. It got to the point that I seeked professional help.
04:55Content creator mental health has become such a big topic of discussion as of late.
04:59But remember, even if you aren't one and you're struggling, you're not alone.
05:03We're so glad to hear that Deji's finally taking a break and seeing a professional about his struggles.
05:08Getting help is nothing to be ashamed of.
