00:12Actor Timothee Chalamet was a recent guest on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes'
00:18What Do You Want to Talk About podcast.
00:20As a longtime wrestling fan, he felt that WWE was at the intersection of his interests, sports, and pop culture.
00:27He then noted that he was a big fan of former WWE superstar the Boogeyman and that he feels the company failed to recognize his potential.
00:37To me, as a big sports fan, big Knicks fan, also a huge fan of acting.
00:42And Hollywood, this was the intersection growing up.
00:45That is for charismatic, on-the-mic guys like The Rock and Stone Cold, but also like Marty Wright, the Boogeyman.
00:52Like Freaky, out of left field, yes.
00:54He was a tough enough contestant. He is sort of one of the most underrated.
00:59I feel like they didn't realize how big he was at the time, said the actor.
01:03Why WWE Won't Run Shows at Hammerstein Ballroom Anymore
01:07Speaking in the same interview, Timothee Chalamet shared that ECW One Night Stand 2006 was his favorite wrestling pay-per-view of all time.
01:16He then revealed that he pitched an idea to Triple H for WWE to run a future event at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
01:23However, the WWE chief content officer explained to him why it's no longer possible.
01:28I want to go see a show at Hammerstein, Timothee Chalamet said.
01:32I talked to Triple H. He said it's basically impossible to make money there.
01:36He said there's one elevator you have to load everything in and out of.
01:40Cody Rhodes chimed in, saying,
01:42He's right, and I appreciate that he gave you logistics because at least he was thinking about it.
01:48The other thing is, it's the worst back-of-house ever.
01:51God bless Manhattan Center and Hammerstein.
01:53It's open windows, freezing. There's no room for anything.
