00:00Hello Maddy here from the Candlelight Inn in Bishopswood. Gosh that feels so

00:04surreal being able to say that now but we just wanted to make a short video just

00:08to say a huge thank you to everybody who came to join us for our opening night on

00:13Monday. It was a really brilliant turnout with so many familiar faces and so

00:18great to meet some new ones too and so thank you so much. There's a little bit

00:23of a hiccup at the 11th hour as there usually is with these things, a bit of a

00:27delay with the licensing from the council which proved proved to be a bit

00:33of an issue but we managed to turn the the negative into a positive and used

00:38Monday as a great opportunity to continue our fundraising efforts for the Brain

00:43Tumour Charity which has been our chosen charity for the year at our sister pub

00:48the Cotley. So we were able to add a staggering 2,466 pounds to our years

00:57takings with one charity quiz night still to go so that's really brilliant so

01:03we're really pleased with that. It does mean however that we are still unable to

01:07sell any alcohol this coming weekend but rest assured we will still be open.

01:12Danny has created some really delicious things in the kitchen so anyone with a

01:17reservation please don't worry you're very welcome to bring your own

01:22bring your own booze and still come enjoy some fabulous hospitality. Things are in

01:28motion now so all looking good for Friday the 12th of December and where

01:33service can resume as normal but in the meantime thanks so much for bearing with

01:37us and there was always gonna be something it just happens to be this which

01:41sucks a bit but just one of those things so yeah really looking forward to

01:46celebrating the festive season with you all and thanks so much for your support on
