Holding Liat Documentary Movie Trailer HD - Plot synopsis: In October 2023, 2 weeks after Israeli-American teacher Liat Atzili and her husband Aviv were kidnapped from their kibbutz in southern Israel by Hamas forces, filmmaker Brandon Kramer, a relative, follows the experiences of Liat's family, providing an intimate & real-time portrait of conflicting views, emotions, and strategies to secure their release. Disappointed & angered by Israel's response to the attacks, Liat's father, Yehuda, lobbies members of Congress to prioritize the release of the hostages, criticizes Netanyahu, and advocates for a peaceful reconciliation with Palestinians; Netta, Liat's son (who narrowly escaped an attack), expresses anger toward Hamas and anti-war protestors; and Liat's mother Chaya and younger sister Tal both clash with Yehuda and want politics left out of the equation. Holding Liat is directed by American doc filmmaker Brandon Kramer

00:00It is so hard not knowing what's going on with her.
00:24My biggest worry is that she's not with us anymore.
00:30We're being led by crazy people, whether it's on the Israeli side or whether on the Palestinian
00:36side.
00:37And the result is all this death and destruction.
00:41Yehuda and I deal with problems differently.
00:46The struggle for peace and reconciliation is the best way to respect the Yat-Naviv and
00:53provide a human side to the story.
00:55I'm not going to thank them for abducting my parents and murdering my acquaintances.
01:00Let's just figure out where Liyat-Naviv are.
01:03Let's just focus on that, Abba.
01:08We want to be supportive of the family, and on the other hand, I'm here and I disagree
01:13politically.
01:14Sometimes it's better to just be quiet, because you know what, forgetting Liyat-Naviv back?
01:19Put a yarmulke on your head.
01:20No.
01:21I'm not going to run away.
01:22I'll stay in my ground.
01:25There's no way of knowing how much longer this is going to go on.
01:28Who's holding her?
01:29Is she in a house?
01:30Is she in a cave?
01:31Is she being fed?
01:32Does she have her glasses?
01:34The longer it takes, the harder it is to stay positive.
01:37There's no guarantee that either of them are cutting out of this alive.
01:48I want them back.
01:49What are you making you so understanding about their considerations?
01:52They're playing games.
01:53I feel your pain.
01:54I lost half of my family so far.
01:55I think every person in Israel, and I'm sure that on the Palestinian side, has someone
02:06that they have lost.
02:08So how do you even begin to coexist in that violent cycle?
02:12Your story is quite unusual.
02:19Can you talk about what you remember?
02:21do you remember?
02:23DO you remember?
02:25DO you remember?
