00:20And before we talk about Cardi getting all political, let's start with the Grammys.

00:23Along with Cardi, Mac Miller is also nominated for the Best Rap Album.

00:27According to Us Weekly, it would be bittersweet for his family if he were to win, of course.

00:32However, if he doesn't, they're quote, rooting for Cardi B.

00:36Other nominees in this category are Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, and Travis Scott.

00:40But okay, ladies and gentlemen, Cardi B has officially entered the political realm.

00:45She posted a video on Instagram last week reminding us the government shutdown is still happening and is a major problem.

00:52Trump is now ordering, as in summonsing, federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid.

01:01Now, I don't want to hear y'all motherf***** talking about, oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days.

01:06Yeah, b****, for healthcare.

01:08So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you b**** could go check your b**** in the gynecologist with no motherf***** problem.

01:14Like, our country is in a hellhole right now, off of the wall.

01:19So, Cardi 2020? Kidding, but she does make some good points.

01:22In fact, some things Cardi said were used to protest President Trump at the 2019 Women's March.

01:28People had signs featuring quotes from her recent political rant.

01:31Cardi herself even said, quote, I can't believe how many posters of me were made at Women's March in D.C.

01:43But alright, while many supported Cardi speaking her mind, Fox Nation host Tommy Lauren did not.

01:49Cardi posted a message saying Trump supporters should work for free while the government is shut down to show solidarity with their president.

01:56Tommy didn't take the message lightly, tweeting in response, quote,

02:00Looks like at I Am Cardi B is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. Ha!

02:05Cardi, of course, fired back, tweeting, leave me alone or I will dog walk you.

02:10I don't even know what that means.

02:11Now, we all know Cardi is known for speaking her mind, so she continued to slam Tommy on Twitter and things only got messier.

02:18Even newly elected Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed in, tweeting,

02:23Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted?

02:27They act as though Arboro hasn't been perfecting the clapback game since the Sugarhill Gang.

02:34Adding to this, Cardi also went on Instagram Live to remind everyone, even though she's from the Bronx,

02:39she knows what's up and has had enough of people questioning her intelligence.
