00:03You know, I was just really thinking about Mexico and, like,

00:08I don't know too many people who get over a divorce.

00:11A family.

00:14I think that I've just been in denial

00:18if I'm honest with myself.

00:20He said the reason why he didn't come to Trina Wedding

00:22was because he felt like he had to put his foot down.

00:29That's the first time I actually heard that.

00:32That was a choice that he made and not an ultimatum that she gave him.

00:38That's devastating.

00:40You know, I really love my dad,

00:42but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to a little heartbreak.

00:45I mean, I forgive my dad for everything,

00:47but I can still be in shock.

00:49Things had to be said.

00:50Things had to, you know, come to the surface.

00:54And I feel like I better understand him and his wife

00:58relationship.

01:01Can I ask you one personal question?

01:02And I hope you don't take it the wrong way.

01:05Do you feel like all of this stuff that goes on

01:11gets in the way of you and your dad relationship,

01:14why he's here on this earth?

01:16Yeah, it gets in the way.

01:18But he did make a life altering decision.

01:23That tries to interrupt and become an issue,

01:26but you got to control that.

01:28Yeah, but here's the thing.

01:29But he wants us to think and feel highly of the situation,

01:32and that's just never going to happen.

01:34It's never going to happen because of the way it happened,

01:37and we are all women.

01:39And that's our mother.

01:40My dad is a good dad.

01:42He just made a few bad decisions.

01:45I do see a lot of effort that my dad has made

01:48to be more present in me and my sisters' lives now,

01:51and that can go a long way in mending our relationships.

01:56I wasn't ready to celebrate your birthday

01:59with just he and his wife knowing

02:01that my mom's not going to be there

02:03because you have to understand

02:05I always have to make sure I'm being respectful.

02:09Is that true?

02:10Because that's my mama.

02:11Exactly.
