00:00America is once again a symbol of global strength.
00:04Under President Trump's leadership, DHS is securing our borders, we're restoring the rule of law, and we're protecting the homeland.
00:11DHS is...
00:12Madam Secretary, how many United States military veterans have you deported?
00:18Sir, we have not deported U.S. citizens or military veterans.
00:23I don't believe you've served in the military. I haven't either.
00:25But I think you and I can agree that as Americans, we owe everything to those who have served our country in uniform, particularly those who have served in combat.
00:34Do you agree with that?
00:35Sir, I believe that people that are in the United States that are citizens have legal status here.
00:40Madam Secretary, we are joined on Zoom by a gentleman named Seijoon Park.
00:44He is a United States Army combat veteran who was shot twice while serving our country in Panama in 1989.
00:51Like many veterans, he struggled with PTSD and substance abuse after his service.
00:57Earlier this year, you deported him to Korea, a country he hasn't lived in since he was seven years old.
01:04Will you join me in thanking Mr. Park for his service to our country?
01:08Sir, I'm grateful for every single person that has served our country and follows our laws.
01:12And can you please tell Mr. Park why you deported him?
01:14Every one of them needs to be enforced.
01:16But you understand that many veterans struggle with PTSD, many veterans struggle with substance abuse challenges.
01:23This man took two bullets for our country.
01:26I will absolutely look at his case, but I want you to remember that our programs need to have his security as well.
01:30Madam Secretary, the man behind you, please stand up, sir.
01:33His name is Jim Brown from Troy, Missouri.
01:36He is a Navy combat veteran who served our country in the Gulf War.
01:40He's married to a woman named Donna, who came to our country legally from Ireland when she was 11 years old.
01:47She has lived here for 48 years.
01:50Because of you, Jim's wife Donna has been in prison for the last four months.
01:55She did not come here illegally.
01:57And she has never committed any crime other than writing two bad checks totaling $80 10 years ago.
02:05She is currently in prison and facing deportation.
02:09Sir, it is not my prerogative, my latitude, or my job to pick and choose which laws in this country get enforced.
02:16You have broad discretion as the secretary.
02:17You can issue parole.
02:19You can do all kinds of things.
02:20But you're choosing not to.
02:22Madam Secretary, you promised America that you would go after the worst of the worst.
02:27But these people are not the worst of the worst.
02:29A Purple Heart recipient.
02:31A military spouse.
02:32The father of three Marines.
02:34And it's not just veterans and military families.
02:37You are locking up and deporting children with cancer.
02:40Mothers with babies in the NICU.
02:42United States citizens.
02:44You do.
02:44There are many problems with your leadership.
02:47But the biggest problem is this.
02:49You don't seem to know how to tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys.
02:54Go after the bad guys.
02:56You don't seem to know how to tell the difference between the bad guys and the bad guys and the bad guys and the bad guys.
