00:00When I listen to Big Daddy, all I want to do is dance.
00:02I always like making songs that make you feel, but I want to do it in different ways.
00:07And Big Daddy is one of the first songs that make me feel like, it feels sweet.
00:12I can't explain.
00:13It feels like, mmm, cute.
00:22Big Daddy was inspired by an experience of a type of human being.
00:28I would describe that human being as someone that wants to look cool, but doesn't really
00:35work internally on themselves.
00:37It kind of translates into, they want to look like they have control, but they don't really
00:44do anything.
00:45They don't add value.
00:58I'm setting up who Big Daddy is.
01:01Someone that wasn't around.
01:02Someone that wasn't there when you were down.
01:05Someone that didn't have your back and is now back when you're a bit better, you're in
01:11a better place in life.
01:13You're glowing.
01:14You've glowed up.
01:15They called you ugly in high school and now you're a baddie and you're catching everybody's
01:21eye.
01:22And they're back.
01:36There's a time and a place for second chances.
01:40There's a time to never give a chance.
01:42And there's a time to let go.
01:44I think when it comes to relationships, depending on what kind of relation, there's some friendships
01:50that there is no going back once it's been tainted.
01:55It's not even like you don't want to give a second chance, but it's just not possible
01:59to get back the trust level that you used to have.
02:12Someone that doesn't believe in anything and has no goals, they're just trying to look
02:23like they're someone rather than actually being someone.
02:42Drop something for me is a very Nigerian thing to say.
02:49Drop something now is like tip us.
02:51Give us something to enjoy for the weekend.
02:54Now I'm directly talking to them like, are you high?
03:15How big is your ego right now to even reach out to me?
03:19You may look like you're breathing, but you're dead to me.
03:22You're walking around, acting like everything is fine, but when I see you, I see a dead person.
03:43You love that you don't give anything.
03:45You love being dead, like a dead guy, like you're comfortable in your lameness.
03:50Go ahead, you know, do that thing and give me nothing.
03:53I love it, you know, type.
03:54That's the energy behind that.
03:56In the beginning I said, but he loves it when I call him Big Daddy.
04:17I was talking about him in third person, but in the second verse I'm talking to him.
04:21I'm giving you more and more and more context to this person.
04:25Don't you love it?
04:26Like after all these things that you've been doing.
04:28You think that I didn't clock what you were doing.
04:35It's not that, it's that I clocked it and I looked the other way because you're not important enough for me to show emotion to.
04:43That's why I was like, that's the way I like it.
04:45Maybe you should try it.
04:46Like maybe you should take a page from my book.
04:48Maybe you should learn from me and keep quiet.
04:50Maybe you should call me Big Daddy, Big Daddy.
04:57Maybe you should call me Big Daddy because I'm teaching you now.
05:01Now you're my son.
05:02I'm giving you a lesson.
05:03Like I've said, maybe you should try this.
05:06So I'm the Big Daddy here.
05:36Sometimes I freestyle and I don't really know what I do.
05:38If nobody records it, it's gone.
05:40When I recorded it that day and I listened back, I was like, ooh, I feel you girl.
