00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Janesweather update for Friday.

00:04We've got showers and sunstorms that are in through these parts of the inland here up to Kalgoorlie as well.

00:10Most of the cloud is out to the east.

00:12We're on heat watch as we're in the southwest.

00:15Let's have a look today.

00:16Here's the heat wave just running in through here right down to Perth and anything orange here that is extreme fire danger.

00:23So we've got a hot one today.

00:24Let's have a look at Saturday.

00:25Our heat wave is right down into here, right down into the southwest corner.

00:30Having a look at Sunday, it is there.

00:31It is strong.

00:33And by Monday, it is still there.

00:35We've got extreme heat wave warning down in these southern parts there.

00:39That's the last day of it.

00:40It's going to move inland slowly as we move through Tuesday onwards.

00:44So let's have a look day by day.

00:45Here's our showers and thunderstorms today.

00:47So it's pouring down from the north.

00:49It's not making it into the southwest.

00:51The trough is running down in through there.

00:53So we've got the heat out to the east of that, which means it's right there through to the coast.

00:58That's Friday.

00:58Let's have a look at Saturday.

01:00Trough running right down the coast there.

01:01There is no relief from the heat.

01:03Here's our shower and thunderstorm area.

01:06Having a look at Sunday, that moves down into the southwest.

01:08So Sunday, we do have the potential for wet weather in that southwest corner.

01:12The trough is offshore, so it is hot.

01:15Having a look at Monday, that trough is now running in through there by the end of the day.

01:19So there is our cool change.

01:21And by Tuesday, that is right inland.

01:23So we are on the mild side of that.

01:25Showers and thunderstorms.

01:27Have a look at Wednesday, there's the pattern.

01:29Into Thursday, that's where we might get a bit of wet weather come through.

01:32And into Friday as well.

01:33So what is that likely to add up to?

01:35It's more of an inland thing in through here and right in the far south there.

01:39Over in the southwest corner, 1 to 5, maybe 5 to 10 as it comes in.

01:43So for Perth, let's have a look at our top temperatures.

01:45We are in the mid-30s all the way through to Monday.

01:48Monday late is when that change comes through.

01:51Have a look at our wind direction.

01:52And all easterly, and that's the southwesterly, by later on Monday.

01:56Sunday is the day when we're most likely to see showers and thunderstorms.

01:59So they are a risk anywhere in the Perth area.

02:02Then our temperatures are down from Tuesday, 27, 25.

02:06We've got a 31 in there and then a 28.
