00:00It's just like they crashing out they fell.
00:02Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at questions we still have after watching the
00:07Netflix docu-series Sean Combs' The Reckoning.
00:09Send it to us.
00:11How is Combs adjusting to prison?
00:13On September 16th, 2024, Sean Diddy Combs was arrested, standing accused of racketeering
00:19and various sex crimes on the heels of numerous accusations.
00:22The indictment alleges Sean Combs led and participated in a racketeering conspiracy
00:27that used the business empire he controlled to carry out criminal activity.
00:32Combs maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings, which reached a pivotal
00:36point in July 2025.
00:39While Combs evaded some of the more serious charges against him, he was found guilty of
00:43illegally transporting multiple people for sex purposes.
00:46It is a mixed verdict, if you will.
00:49It's a mixed verdict, but it is a stunning victory for the defense.
00:53That October, Combs was sentenced to four years with time already served, along with
00:58five years of supervision upon release.
01:01Although The Reckoning explores why Combs was incarcerated, there's little insight into
01:05his life behind bars, originally being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center before
01:09getting transferred to FCI Fort Dix, where he's expected to remain until 2028.
01:15I'm still in this movie, and I just plan on, I just know the ending, and that it's going
01:21to end happily ever after.
01:22Is there more to 50 Cent's beef with Diddy?
01:25Rival rapper Curtis 50 Cent Jackson was making alarming claims about Sean Combs long before
01:30the floodgate of accusations hit.
01:33While Jackson is an executive producer on The Reckoning, his personal feud with Combs
01:37isn't the focus.
01:38It's that personal.
01:39It's more about the abuse allegations that led to Combs' 2024 arrest, as well as his past
01:44legal troubles.
01:46Jackson's beef with Combs traces as far back as the 2000s.
01:49It escalated when Jackson dropped the diss track, The Bomb, asserting that Diddy played
01:54a role in the murder of the notorious B.I.G.
01:57I guess this means I won't be invited to the white parties in the Hamptons.
02:01While the viewer can see how his perception of Combs might have influenced this docuseries,
02:06Jackson doesn't get into the nitty-gritty of their personal history, leaving us to wonder
02:10if he's holding anything back.
02:12He may feel a different way about pieces and bits of it, but he knows the truth.
02:15Did Combs blow up Kid Cudi's car?
02:18In The Reckoning, Capricorn Clark, who used to work for Combs, claims he once kidnapped
02:22her at gunpoint, bringing her along to murder somebody.
02:25That jury, in there that day, I knew they didn't believe anything.
02:30The docuseries doesn't delve into who the alleged target was, however.
02:34At Combs' trial, rapper Kid Cudi testified that Combs had threatened him due to his past
02:39relationship with Cassie Ventura.
02:40Not long after this alleged threat, Cudi's Porsche was given the Molotov cocktail treatment
02:46outside his house.
02:47The juror saw the actual cut, the hole in his Porsche, and then they saw the damage done
02:52from that Molotov cocktail where the red interior is ruined and darkened by the fire that started
02:58in his car.
02:59Clark didn't accuse Combs of firebombing the automobile.
03:02When she was supposedly kidnapped, though, Clark did claim that Combs broke into Cudi's house.
03:07Ventura also testified that Combs had threatened to blow up Cudi's car, but without any eyewitnesses,
03:13there are still several pieces missing from this puzzle.
03:16This is a stressful situation.
03:17I'm glad it's behind me.
03:18How much did other celebrities know?
03:21From 1998 to 2009, Combs became synonymous with white parties.
03:25Aside from their dress codes and extravagant sizes, these parties were known for attracting
03:29major stars.
03:30Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, and Donald Trump are just a
03:37few big names linked to Diddy's parties, which have since become infamous for freak-offs.
03:42My initial feeling was to question, but the minute I was told what was expected, she handed
03:49me a stack of money.
03:50Testimonies painted a far more disturbing portrait of Diddy's parties, claiming that some involved
03:55sex trafficking and other crimes.
03:57It remains unclear which, if any, celebrities attended the parties where illegal activities
04:02supposedly took place.
04:04Was this the industry's worst-kept secret, or were Diddy's fellow A-listers truly in
04:08the dark about what was allegedly going down?
04:11Either way, Diddy is the elephant in the room that few celebrities want to talk about.
04:15Wow, okay, I've got a lot.
04:16I can't tell.
04:18So, um, I can't tell that one either.
04:23I'm, like, actually cycling through them.
04:25Who were the other alleged victims?
04:27The Reckoning includes interviews with several individuals who feel traumatized by Combs,
04:32including singer Aubrey O'Day and Bad Boy Records co-founder Kirk Burroughs.
04:36Not only was he abusive to me from an employer-employee standpoint, he was also abusive to me in other
04:47ways.
04:48The docuseries also delves into Combs' abusive relationship with Cassie Ventura.
04:52Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg.
04:56Nearly 100 lawsuits have been filed against Combs.
04:59Standing up for justice for myself actually stands up for justice for everybody.
05:03In 2024, an attorney claims that over 3,000 people had approached him, claiming Combs
05:08had abused them.
05:09In addition to men and women, some of Combs' accusers are minors.
05:13It seems to be all of a sudden with Sean, and it isn't.
05:20This has been a slow build.
05:23Some of it happened before our eyes.
05:26With many of the accusers choosing to stay anonymous, there's much about this case that
05:30we'll likely never know.
05:32There's bound to be debate about which stories are true, which stories are not, and whether
05:36justice was ultimately served.
05:39Was Combs connected to Kim Porter's death?
05:41Model-turned-actress Kim Porter had an on-and-off relationship with Combs from 1994 to 2007,
05:47together having three children.
05:49Next time I saw Kim, I said, well, if you get with him, make sure you marry him and have
05:53plenty of kids, because he's going to be really rich.
05:56I said it in just...
05:58In 2018, Porter passed away, with her sudden death being linked to Lober pneumonia.
06:03She was an actress and model, but was perhaps best known for her relationship with Sean Diddy
06:08Combs.
06:09While Porter is mentioned a few times, the reckoning glances over her passing and some
06:13of the unsettling theories surrounding it.
06:15Between the trial and the release of the book Kim's Lost Words, rumors started circulating
06:20that Combs was somehow involved in Porter's death.
06:23A joint statement from their children insisted that, quote, there was no foul play, calling
06:27the accusations, quote, hurtful.
06:29It seems unlikely that Combs was at all responsible for her death.
06:33Given the recent accusations against him, though, there is reason to speculate whether Porter's
06:38experience with Combs was anything like Ventura's.
06:41But he wasn't changing.
06:42What's Cassie Ventura's perspective?
06:44Combs' downfall arguably began when his former partner, Cassie Ventura, pushed legal
06:49action in 2023.
06:51With surveillance footage seemingly corroborating Ventura's claims of abuse, more people spoke
06:55out against Combs.
06:56I'd like to have my cake and eat it, too.
06:58I'm sorry.
06:59But, I mean, I'm not sorry.
07:01While Ventura testified against Combs, she declined the offer to participate in the
07:05reckoning.
07:06Ventura has been mostly silent since Combs' sentencing.
07:10The most we heard was a statement from Ventura's lawyer saying, quote,
07:13While nothing can undo the trauma caused by Combs, the sentence imposed today recognizes the
07:18impact of the serious offenses he committed.
07:20The statement adds,
07:21Ventura's court appearance might be the most in-depth recollection of her relationship with
07:32Combs we'll ever get.
07:34Only time will tell if she'll divulge her side of the story in an interview or documentary
07:38format.
07:39It's Cass right there.
07:40She's in the vocal booth doing what she gotta do.
07:41The extent of the reported parties?
07:44Whether or not other celebrities were present, the nature of the so-called freak-offs continues
07:49to raise questions.
07:50This whole property has hidden cameras everywhere.
07:55It's been said that the freak-offs might have involved threats of violence, physical harm,
07:59kidnapping, sex trafficking, racketeering, non-consensual sexual acts, as well as unapproved
08:06recordings of such acts.
08:07Not to mention more than a thousand bottles of baby oil that the authorities confiscated.
08:12There was also a Ziploc bag full of Johnson's baby oil bottles.
08:15Combs was ultimately only found guilty of transporting individuals for sex work, however.
08:20While Combs was cleared of the racketeering and sex trafficking charges, there's still
08:24much to speculate regarding the testimony against him.
08:27The reckoning provides accounts of some freak-offs that allegedly took place, but with minimal
08:31video evidence, we may never get the full picture.
08:34Puff is the kind of person, um, you know, the story of the two wolves, which wolf wins,
08:40the wolf you feed.
08:42All of us, we're cognizant of the bad wolf, but we're feeding the good wolf.
08:46Was Diddy involved in the murders of Tupac and Biggie?
08:49Not long after surviving an attempt on his life in New York, Tupac Shakur's visit to Vegas
08:54turned deadly when he was hit in a drive-by shooting.
08:57Six months later, the notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in Los Angeles, with many believing
09:02his murder was retaliation for Shakur's death.
09:04It made me appreciate life, and it made me want to be, do things for the greater good.
09:11In 2026, Dwayne Keefy D. Davis will stand trial for his alleged involvement in Shakur's
09:16shooting, potentially bringing some closure to the case.
09:19While Combs was never charged in Shakur's murder, there has been widespread speculation
09:24that he played a hand.
09:25In The Reckoning, Kirk Burroughs theorizes that Combs, quote, had a lot to do with the death
09:30of Tupac, and, quote, ushered Biggie to his death.
09:33A theory is all it may ever be, however.
09:36Who do you think, quote, Biggie?
09:41Next question.

09:48You have the option to be notified for occasional videos or all of them.

09:56Was that footage obtained legally?
10:01The Reckoning features footage unreleased to the public until now, most notably video
10:05recordings of Combs in a hotel room days before his 2024 arrest.
10:10This includes a phone conversation with his legal team, in which Combs asks for someone
10:14who can handle, quote, the dirtiest of dirty business.
10:17We have to find somebody that'll work with us, whether they're from this country or from
10:21another country.
10:22There have been conflicting reports on how some of this footage was acquired.
10:25A statement from Combs' team claims, quote,
10:28Netflix relied on stolen footage that was never authorized for release.
10:34Conversely, director Alex Stapleton says, quote,
10:37We obtained the footage legally and have the necessary right.
10:40Either way, it's unclear who was behind the camera, how they got the footage to the Netflix
10:45crew, and the precise dirty business that Combs was referring to.
