00:00First, a New York Post exclusive. Dead people are taking your tax dollars.
00:06186 million of those dollars, according to a report from the Inspector General of the Social
00:11Security Administration. And Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst has had enough. She sent
00:16the commissioner a letter pleading for him to get his act together. One part of this letter
00:21to Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano pretty much sums it up. I would ask that you
00:27continue doing everything in your administrative powers to stop sending checks to dead people.
00:32The IG report found grieving families were pocketing their departed loved ones' checks
00:37for years, and it went undetective. I don't know, maybe it eased the grief? Who knows?
00:44Stopping Social Security fraud was also a big focus for Elon Musk's Doge project from earlier this year.
00:51He claimed to have found, quote, tens of millions of dead people in the Social Security system.
00:56While that number appears to have been an overestimation, a 2024 report found that roughly
01:02$71.8 billion of the nearly $8.6 trillion in Social Security payments that year were improper.
01:11Travelers coming to the U.S. from more than three dozen countries could soon be required to submit
01:16the last five years of their social media activity before being allowed in. And we're not just talking
01:22about countries with a problematic track record. The list includes U.S. allies like Australia,
01:28France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The proposal filed by U.S.
01:34Customs and Border Protection would require the submission for anyone applying for what's called
01:39an electronic travel authorization, which allows people to spend 90 days in the States without a
01:44visa. The plan also adds requirements for travelers to submit the names, birth dates, places of birth,
01:50and addresses of immediate family members, even if they aren't traveling to the U.S.
01:56The new requirements would go into effect next year, just in time for tens of thousands of
02:02foreign visitors who will be traveling to the country for next summer's World Cup. But if you're rich
02:08and you'd have to be to afford tickets to the World Cup, you can skip the line and buy one of
02:12President Trump's finally available gold card visas. The president proudly announcing yesterday the
02:18visas are ready for purchase for any interested parties looking to move to the U.S. for just a
02:23million bucks. Rich foreigners can buy the ability to become instantly eligible for permanent residency
02:29status after proper vetting. Russian warfare is taking a frightening and futuristic turn.
02:36A recent report out of the U.K. outlines a terrifying new way Russian-backed agents are testing the
02:43U.S. vulnerabilities for war. This is according to the Financial Times. In 2024, European nations were
02:49put through the paces when DHL packages exploded at logistic hubs in the U.K., Poland, and Germany.
02:56While this was thought to be a test and not a full-scale attack, had the explosions happened while the
03:03parcels were in transit, it would have brought down the planes and sown chaos across the whole airline
03:09industry. Around the same time this operation was carried out, multiple break-ins were reported at
03:14water towers and treatment plants in Finland. Authorities said these trespassers were scouting
03:19places they could launch attacks on the country's water supply. Now, those attacks and others like
03:25them are believed to have been carried out by, for lack of a better term, gig workers for Russian
03:31espionage. They put space between the Russian government and the attacks, making it hard to pin down
03:37exactly where they're coming from. Now, luckily for the rest of the world, these agents seem to be
03:42amateurs, and they repeatedly botch their missions for now. And what is scary is that there seems to be
03:49no shortage of people who can be found in the darkest corners of the internet, willing to lend a hand
03:55to Vladimir Putin and his associates to keep trying. For more on these stories and everything else you
04:01could possibly want to know, check out the New York Post in print or online. And don't forget,
