01:23In honor of this big win, the organization will release an exclusive clip of Lil Baby performing
01:29a new version of his hit The Bigger Picture. And switching gears a bit to Nicki Minaj who stood up
01:34for Michael B. Jordan after the name of his new rum Jouvet caused some controversy especially with
01:41Trinidad and Tobago Nationals. The actor was accused of cultural appropriation after his girlfriend
01:47Lori Harvey shared photos from the launch party of the alcoholic beverage which showed a display
01:53of the islands of Trinidad and Tobago in a written reference to Trinidad and to Jouvet as a local
02:00celebration of emancipation and carnival. Shortly after the complaints and accusations of cultural
02:06appropriation began Nicki Minaj who is Trinidadian reposted a message from a user that explained the
02:12background of the word Jouvet and why it's offensive. Nicki's repost talked about how Jouvet originated in
02:20Trinidad with the festivities of Cambulé which was a time when sugarcane fields caught on fire and slaves
02:27were still forced to harvest the remaining crops before complete destruction. Nicki then went on to
02:33defend Michael's actions in her own caption but she also encouraged him to change the name of The Rum.
02:39The rapper wrote I'm sure MBJ didn't intentionally do anything he thought Caribbean people would find
02:44offensive but now that you are aware change the name and continue to flourish and prosper. Moving on
02:50to Trick Daddy now the Florida native is sticking to his quote unpopular opinion despite backlash. The
02:57rapper caught heat for saying Beyonce can't sing and even questioned Jay-Z's role in hip-hop. After facing
03:03some heat Trick Daddy jumped on the mic at 99 Jams Miami to clarify his comments he said what I said
03:10was I don't think Beyonce could sing Beyonce is to R&B what Jay-Z is to the state of hip-hop in New York
03:16at the time that Jay-Z began considering himself as the king of hip-hop the goat of rap which is my
03:21opinion and opinions like buttholes without them you'll be full of doo-doo that's my unpopular opinion
03:28that is a weird quote. Trick Daddy went on to say that he thinks Beyonce can sing but she can't
03:34sang in comparison to other acts such as Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle, Whitney Houston, or Mariah Carey.
