Donald Trump intensified his criticism of Kyiv, questioning why Ukraine has not held an election “in a long time” despite calling itself a democracy. Speaking to reporters, Trump said Zelensky must “be realistic” and acknowledge that the Ukrainian people want a settlement to end the war as thousands continue to die each week. 00:08And you said in an interview yesterday that you think it's time for Zelensky to start accepting things.

00:15I think he has to be realistic.

00:17And I do wonder about, you know, how long is it going to be until they have an election?

00:24It's a democracy. It's a long time.

00:27They haven't had an election in a long time.

00:29It's losing a lot of people.

00:32And it's possible that the people, you know, if you look at the polls,

00:36I will say 82 percent, there was a poll that came out,

00:3982 percent of the people are demanding a settlement be made.

00:44Ukrainian people, they want to see a settlement be made.

00:47I understand that they're losing thousands and thousands of people a week.

00:51They want to see it ended.

00:53And I do say, you know, at what point, when do they have an election in Ukraine?

00:58I mean, that's not casting dispersions on anybody,

01:02but they do have a massive corruption situation going on there.

01:06And they do say, you know, when, when are they, people are asking this question,

01:10when do they have an election?

01:12Are they going to have an election?

01:13Or are they going to just keep it going like this?

01:17So I think it's time to get that war settled.

01:20And I think it's a war that can be settled.

01:24But it takes two to, two to tank them.

01:27So what do you want to know?

01:38What changes do you want to see at CNN on your new election?

01:40Well, I'm not involved in that.

01:41I will be probably involved, maybe involved in the decision.

01:46You have some good companies bidding on it.

01:48I think the people that have run CNN for the last long period of time are a disgrace.

01:56I think it's imperative that CNN be sold.

01:58Because you certainly wouldn't want to put people, just leave those people with some money,

02:14So I wouldn't want to see the same company end up with CNN, the same company with money.

02:29Because I think the people that are running CNN right now, CNN right now, are either corrupt or incompetent.

02:46But I just think that the people that have run CNN into the ground, by the way.
